Overall verdict: The hotel is very well-equipped for a relaxing stay, even for the pickiest travelers. + The entire hotel staff is very professional, polite, and always available to answer inquiries at any time of day. Upon arrival, the reception gives you a small tour of the hotel, the spa, and other facilities, offering you (in our case) a small welcome drink to kick off your stay. + The rooms are quite spacious for two people, well-equipped, and noise-insulated. Overall, they are very private. The bathroom has heated floors, and the shower offers enough space to be comfortable without being squeezed in, as is sometimes the case in similar hotels. + The indoor spa (pool, jacuzzi, and steam sauna) is open 24/7. The gym, while good for cardio, could use some free weights. Yoga and Pilates classes are also available for hotel guests. + Given the position and capacity of the hotel, the restaurant offers a good variety of breakfast pastries, fruit, warm dishes, and beverages. + The common areas are regularly cleaned and well-organized.

Our stay at the ski hotel, perched atop the mountain, was an experience unlike any other, setting it leagues apart from all the others. The exceptional staff and the unparalleled quality of the facilities enveloped us in a sense of serenity, allowing us to indulge in some of the finest skiing the Alps have to offer. It provided the perfect backdrop for cherished family moments with my wife and 13-year-old daughter. We wholeheartedly recommend staying at this hotel for anyone seeking breathtaking views of the village below, comfort amidst stunning surroundings, and the convenience of ski-in/ski-out access. Being the first to hit the slopes each morning is truly an unforgettable experience. We're eagerly looking forward to our return visit! A special highlight was enjoying hot red wine on the terrace and savoring a hot cheese dish in the afternoon sun, surrounded by more than 3 meters of pristine snow – it felt like paradise. Furthermore, stargazing from the outdoor wooden hot tub at a cozy 40°C is a treasured memory that my family and I will hold dear forever.

*Drinks only review* - fantastic spot accessible by the magic carpet. Real sun trap that definitely has a view that encourages a stop. Didn’t eat here but had a drinks - stunned that for the price there wasn’t service out to the chairs. Coffee was average and champagne servings (by the glass) were meagre at best. Couple this with sliding across the deck in ski boots with the above on a tray means we unfortunately won’t be back.

LOVE this hotel. It is such a special place to visit with incredible views and facilities. Highly recommend.

Really disappointed! The hotel, the view and the facilities are all beyond amazing. But the service, management and staff is a big disappointment! Firstly, we were expecting the hotel to pick us up from the meeting point at 9 am however no one showed up. So we asked our previous hotel to contact them again to send us a porter for our luggage. We asked for ski passes however no one got them and we had to purchase ski passes downstairs in order to reach the hotel. Breakfast does not have many options. Moreover, you cannot order eggs a la carte. There is only an option to make your own boiled eggs! This is the first time I see this in a five star hotel. Moreover, there was only one waiter around who was very obnoxious and unhelpful at all! He had a very bad attitude. We asked for a later checkout but we were only given until 11 am! Finally, the hotel receptionist kept giving us excuses when we asked for a lift in their car from the hotel to the telephrique since we had some bags to take. Still they kept on giving us excuses as the “car” is for the luggage. Also note that I have seen guests descending from it the day before. Definitely not a 5 star level and not matching the value of price paid.

I made a reservation with The Solaise Refuge for winter 2025 that I later on cancelled within the free cancellation period due to change of plans. During the reservation it specifically stated that I wouldn't be charged anything until one month before the stay... The hotel still charged me for the entire stay knowing this and now saying I should receive the refund in a few weeks. This charge should have never happened. Unacceptable.

The rooms we stayed does not reflect the rooms shown at internet at all, the service is also non compatible with their pricing as well.. The location is amazing but it has also its challenges with limited access to the village..

Absolutely ridiculous. You can’t get in touch with anyone over the phone. The hotel is restricted in access. You cant get to or leave the hotel after 16:30. We had a night flight and had no way to get to the hotel. When i tried to cancel with one month left before the arrival date they didnt even waive the fee for cancellation.
