"You know exactly what to expect at this kind-of kitschy, family-owned establishment, and that's the best steak-frites in town, topped with buttery, herby secret sauce. That’s it, and it’s worth lining up for—this is a no-reservations locale. Touristy as it is—locations have opened in London and New York—it remains a local’s mainstay, proof of its excellent quality. There are now locations in the 8th and 6th, too."

If I could give it 10 stars I would! Dont be phased by the long line outside, it moves very quickly and everyone deserves to try this special steak frites experience! We waited for 20 minutes and got sat down pretty quickly (as only two of us) at about 10pm. The waitress was brilliant, super nice, and the food came very quickly. As steak lovers, we ordered rare, and loved it! Imagine beef tartare quality with seared sides, highly recommend! We leave tomorrow morning, otherwise would totally come back for round two! MUST TRY THIS! Our waitress Nabila was the kindest! Made us feel so welcome, helped us choose our wine, never put pressure on us, and just all smiles! Best possible final dinner in Paris we could’ve asked for 🫶 can’t wait to return next time we are in Paris!

The steak is just okay. Its definitely not something you wait for 1 hour in line. The portion is not really big. They will give you food twice but the slices are quite thin so all in all I don't think you are given any more food than other places. The restaurant is big but quite packed so its not the most comfortable either. The service is good. The desert was nice.

I loved how fast the service was but the waitress was a little bit impolite in my opinion. We asked for medium steak and it was more like well done so we asked the waitress if she can bring the second round in medium rare and she said no and immediately left. She was in rush all the time and this made us very nervous. And in the second round she finishes the sauce on one of our plates and for the second one she was like it’s finished 😳. And my husband had to dip his steak into my plate to get some sauce 😅 Anyway I think it worths to visit once but our first visit on 2022 was so much better(the quality of food and service).

Google
Amazing food with unbeaten atmosphere. I had been wanting to go to this place forever, after watching all the videos and I am just so glad this was not a disappointment at all. The steak, fries and gosh, the sauce… the sauce… the sauce. I’m now just looking forward to the next time I’ll have the opportunity to try this.

Google
Totally worth the hype, unbeatable value for money. The sauce is something different from what you usually try, and the whole combination is excellent. The menu is simple but unique. That’s obviously why so many people go; you have to wait in line, but if you go early, around 12 p.m., you get in right away. We went back because it was that good!

Le Relais de l'Entrecôte is definitely an experience. The set menu starts with a walnut salad and bread--both were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. The real highlight was the steak frites. The sauce on the steak was flavorful, and the French fries were crispy and delicious. We got in line at 6:15pm for their 6:30pm opening, and there was already a long line ahead of us. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes to be seated. When it was time to sit, the space was so tight that the waitress actually had to move my table out of the way so I could get to my seat, and then slide it back into place--essentially locking me in. It was a little uncomfortable and made it tricky to get in and out. Inside, it was crowded and very loud, so it wasn't the most relaxing atmosphere. That said, our server was super nice, and the service was impressively fast once we were seated. Overall, it was a unique, high-energy dining experience--but I wouldn't be rushing to go back. If you're looking for lively and bustling, it's worth trying once, but if you prefer something quiet or spacious, I'd skip it.

We dined here last night and waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Everything was perfect. The food wasn’t extraordinary, but it was delicious and well-cooked. The dessert was fine as well. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

The food is super delicious, especially the sauce of the beef steak. Definitely you have to call the desserts, they are so good. All the waitresses are nice and friendly. You just have to wait in a long line but it is gonna worth it!

Yelp
Yes, there is a long line, where we waited for about 45 min in on a Monday for dinner. I had not seen any reviews yet, so I went there blindly trusting my friend's recommendation. First off, I am a steak girl, since the wee ages of 8 years old. I gotta admit, when I first saw the steak, I was a bit skeptical. Especially since I've had not seen any pictures prior, it looked like "cafeteria" food at first. But then after a few bites, I realized what the hype was about. It was really good, and I would definitely come back or visit one of its many locations, when I get the chance. I also appreciate the no frills, no option, no thinking involved in ordering. As soon as you sit down, their question is medium or rare? And that's that. Concept, uniqueness, and execution all 9/10.

Yelp
tl;dr the classic bistro vibe and polarizing butter-herb sauce highlight an otherwise mostly standard version of steak frites Steak frites is a quintessential French bistro dish, and few Parisian restaurants are as devoted to the craft as l'Entrecote. The original location was established by Paul Gineste de Saurs (himself born to a family of reputable wine producers) in Porte Maillot in 1959. Since the beginning, l'Entrecote offered only a single entrée: steak frites. Bucking tradition, Gineste de Saurs outfitted his dish with a Café de Paris sauce. L'Entrecote has since spun into three offshoots, each operated by the founder's children; Le Relais de l'Entrecote is one such branch, with its debut location in Saint-Germain-des-Pres. Here, diners are offered a trim pre-fixe menu: simple green salad dressed in a Dijon vinaigrette, sliced sirloin (served in 2 portions) with their signature sauce, and all-you-can-eat shoestring fries. Only for the optional dessert do patrons have any selection. Outside, a handful of tables sit underneath l'Entrecote's crimson awning. The interior is minimalistically French. The light wood-panelled walls are decorated with two-pronged lamps and antique posters advertising spirits. Each table is pressed to a red-upholstered half-booth and decked with a red tablecloth, a disposable paper table cover, and mustard-yellow napkins. The staff wear matching black dresses with white trim. We arrived at l'Entrecote just prior to the lunch service, and we faced a sizeable line. Luckily, our party just made the first wave of diners. The salad course was tasty, if not standard; the baguettes sported a delicious flavor and an excellent crisp. The steak was served pre-sliced with a heavy helping of sauce, while waitresses rounded, dropping off scoops of fries. The steak varied in texture from tender to stringy, and the flavor was forgettable. In contrast, the butter-based sauce was quite memorable, if not divisive. The herby mix quickly grew on me, but my sister was less keen on it. The fries ranged from chewy to perfectly crispy. Service was an efficient, well-oiled machine. Our bill was 60 euros, and we were left too full to consider dessert. Notably, a diner can opt for salad a la carte for just 2 euros if they don't want to commit to the whole steak frites meal. When we left, a queue trailed far down the block. While not worth a visit out-of-the-way or a lengthy wait, l'Entrecote is at least a solid and reputable option for steak frites.

Yelp
This is one of those places that would be really easy to just walk on past, but it might catch your eye from all the people there during lunch. When in another country, where are the locals eating? There are so many places in Paris for everyone to stop at for lunch, yet some are packed, and some are empty. Trust the locals. This is one of those places that is always packed. Perhaps you've seen something about it on social media as well. I would call this a hidden gem, but it's too popular for that. I will say, though, this is a must try when in Paris! Ok, so steak and fries, or, "steak frites," as the locals say, is a classic French dish, and it remains extremely popular to this day. This particular place has absolutely mastered it! Once you sit, you'll be given a salad right away. No menu. They'll ask for a drink choice, but no food menu. Why? This is all they serve. They do this dish so well, and it's so popular, it is the only thing they serve. So yeah, sit down, get your salad, which is made fresh, with walnuts, radishes, and a simple dressing. Then, the steak frites. The fries are perfectly crisp with excellent flavor. Not overly greasy, not heavy, and they even have a lightness to them. The steak is a generous portion, and covered with a fantastic homemade sauce. Literally, covered. It's heavy on the basil, almost like a pesto, but not the same. And that's it! steak and fries with some fantastic sauce (the French are known for their sauces, after all). And honestly, the initial portion is definitely enough, but they'll come by and offer you more for no extra cost, with plenty of sauce, my kind of place! They have multiple stations where they prepare the dish, so you can even watch as they make it. Truly simplistic, and absolutely fabulous! The restaurant itself is very nice, though we sat outside in their plentiful outdoor seating. The service was fantastic as well, and super friendly. We even spent maybe 20 or so minutes conversing with our waitress, practicing our French while she practiced her English. It was a fantastic time, and we will definitely be back next time we're in Paris. Which, actually, is very easy to do, given they are located in close vicinity to several metro stations, including immediately outside of the Vavin metro stop, and not far from the convenient Denfert-Rocherau stop. It is also a quick walk from Gare Montparnasse, and conveniently located just down the road from Les Catacombs. If you're looking for a fantastic, and very reasonably priced meal, this is a must try!

Yelp
I debated whether it was worth waiting in line here, but surprisingly, we only waited about an hour and a half. The restaurant itself is very cramped, and unfortunately, the service left us feeling very uncomfortable. As an Asian group, we couldn't help but notice clear differences in how we were treated compared to the tables around us. Guests seated after us were served first, and we were consistently the last to receive our dishes. They serve steak in two portions, but ours didn't come out until every other table had already been taken care of. The staff smiled and were friendly to other customers, but when it came to us, they were noticeably cold and looked like serving us was a burden. As for the food: there's only 1 item on the menu: steak and fries. You start with a salad that is lightly dressed, and you can choose how the steak is cooked. The pepper sauce has a unique, curry-like flavor that's hard to describe. The fries were actually great and super crispy. Overall, I'd say the food is worth trying once for the experience, but the way we were treated definitely makes me not want to return.

Yelp
Instagram made me do it! There was a long line around the block ... must be awesome right? I think it's a bunch of people trying it because they see all the post on instagram which is why I went. I didn't think the food was worth the long line. Also, it's not unlimited serving of food as some post would make you think. You get like a second round of steak and fries. You're packed in like sardines. So much so, it might as well be categorized as family style because you're literally eating next to another family.

Yelp
Is it touristy? Yes. But for good reason. This place was fairly close to our hotel. We were coming back from doing some site seeing and noticed a long line to a restaurant. We were getting hungry so decided to stop in. We waited about 20-25ish minutes in line, not too bad considering the line was wrapped around the block once we finished eating. The sauce the steak comes with is delicious!! The desserts were yummy and fries served hot. I prefer restaurants that have a small menu because they really take their time preparing. Our server was lovely as well. Great personality and on top of everything.

Yelp
My third time with this chain, third different location. First of all, yum! We love a good steak and butter. Fries are delicious, can't go wrong with the salad with walnuts as well. We showed up about ten minutes before open and still waited for around an hour. It is definitely worth it. Service is quick, but I do remember it very differently from my first experience in Bordeaux. They decide how much steak you're served instead of bringing you the steak. My fiancé wanted a third portion, as they only served us 3-4 pieces in two portions, and the waitress told him no. In Bordeaux I was given the entire plate of steak and I got to decide when I was done. But we accepted defeat easily and went on and finished our frites. About ten minutes later we asked the waitress for the check, she brought it and then disappeared for another ten minutes. Here's why they lost a star in my book- as she comes out to drop off salads to another table, my fiancé says to her "when you have a moment we're ready to check out" and she snapped at us as she served the table next to us. I do not speak French but it was aggressive and somewhere along the lines of telling us to wait because can't we see she's helping someone else? That's fine. I work in the service industry too, don't work in service if you're easily pissed off by two Americans asking to pay you to leave. I find this theme common in this restaurant as I also had a nasty interaction with a waitress at the New York location when I asked her a question about the service. Other waitresses seemed sweet. Hostess was lovely. My standards are not ultra high and unmeetable, but I don't expect someone to snap on my husband when he's telling you to take your time! Truthfully I would go 3.5 stars but the steak and fries are worth 5. Service was a 2.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately do not understand the hype. After waiting in line for a while, we were excited to have a delicious meal. Firstly, expect to be packed in and seated with the tables touching each other. If you are sitting on the inside of the table you have to pull the table out to be able to stand up. They give you 3 options for the cook of the steak: rare, medium, or well done. The food looked good when served to us, but it truly had no flavor at all. I was very underwhelmed by the sauce and dish as a whole, even my friend with a pretty basic palette agreed that it was flavorless. They do come by and offer another portion of meat and fries, but at this point we just wanted to be done with the meal. If you are in Paris you can find much better food than this

Yelp
Rating: 5.0 03/2022 My bestie heard about this place and of course we just have to try it. On our first night out in Paris, we sought after the location closer to the Champs Élysées. Unfortunately, the line was very long. We were very hungry after a day of doing tourist stuff so we didn't wait. About two days later we found ourselves with nothing to do and we stumbled upon this location but it was still closed and was going to open in 45 minutes and already, there were about two groups waiting ahead of us. Once open, I was glad we chose to dine inside because despite doing the whole French thing, eating outside facing the streets, the line of people waiting to get in, staring at you while you eat is just awkward. We sat at perfect spot, at a corner window. Restaurant: As most French brassieres or cafe, this restaurant is not very big nor spacious. They really packed the seats inside but there is also dining outside. The decor is very typical as well, lots of French art, flowers and light fixtures. The restroom is atleast at the same floor but again, its pretty cramped and only have one for each gender. Service: We were greeted by a lovely lady and she brought us to our table. She was kind to speak to us in fluent English. She seemed really excited to have us there and we picked up on that energy the entire evening. She told us how the dinner works, and right away she brought us drinks, and our meal soon followed. All the lady-servers where bustling in the entire restaurant in their cute black and white uniform, we watched in awe as we see them work. Food: We only came from one thing...matter of fact its the only thing they have on the menu. The one reason why people come from everywhere and wait in the long line outside: Steak avec Frites! Right away, a basket of baguettes arrived our our table, and with butter, it was a hit on our table. The salad was simple but with ample amount of crisp, fresh lettuce tossed in what I believe what tasted like a mustard-ish vinaigrette, topped with fresh walnuts. Not everyone in my party liked the dressing but enjoyed it very much. Then the nice server with huge platters of fries and steak! I was a bit crestfallen when I saw that the steak was drenched in sauce and they only give you like four little pieces. But you know what...."when in Paris" right??? The sauce was green in color and I believe I tasted hints of coconut and curry. It was good. We asked for medium steak, they were so tender and perfectly cooked I didn't even have to chew! Oh and the fries, oh la la... I have died and gone to fries heaven! They were thin, crispy and not at all oily! I was dipping it on the sauce from the steak and licking my fingers! Lol. I was so shocked when our server offered us another helping, and I said "oui!" with the quickness! To be able to enjoy another helping really hit the stop. I was so stuffed but I could not seem to stop shoving the fries in my mouth. But, I had to make room for dessert. We decided to go for broke and ordered the pati choux and the chocolate cake. Both were served with vanilla ice cream and just so heavenly good. So annoyed that we inhaled our food I can't find any pictures! Overall, this was such a wonderful experience. Yes, we waited in line but it was worth it. It has the ambiance, the mood, the vibe and definitely the food! The price point in pretty fair and standard for a plate of steak frites in Paris. I will definitely come back here again. Give it a try, dine inside or outside, you won't regret it.

Yelp
This is a fun place to be for steak frites if you don't mind the line. For me. I am not a big fan of waiting for 2 hours - and this is not in Tokyo when you wait for top quality product. It is likely the price point and the fun part of being in a popular spot. The servers are extremely friendly and yes on enjoy had your salad and the steak frites they serve you another portion. Great experience but definitely not the best steak frites in Paris by far. Ambience is local French bistro vibe and super busy (given on a Monday night it was a 1 hour plus wait at 9pm.

Yelp
My favorite meal of the trip. They only have one thing on the menu, so you know it's good. The steak was perfectly cooked. The sauce was amazing and I still dream about it. The fries!! Amazingly crispy. The salad appetizer was not my favorite and there was too much dressing on it. Ate a second serving to top it all off. Would recommend going for weekday lunch to avoid long waits. We also volunteered to sit outside to avoid getting hangry.

Yelp
Food: 2/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Steak: 2/5 Salad: 3/5 I arrived 15 minutes before opening and waited in line for 45 minutes, excited because of the great reviews. I started with wine and salad, and everything was good up to that point. However, once I bit into my first piece of meat, I was really disappointed. I honestly don't understand what people like about this place. The quality of the meat was inferior, if I had to compare, even USDA Choice ribeyes from Vons are better. Almost every piece was chewy, and I had to spit out all but one. I won't be coming back.

Yelp
I first came to Relais de l'Entrecôte in 2013 at the recommendation of a friend. Over 10 years later on another trip to Paris, I had to return and it did not disappoint! The steak and fries, plus the delicious sauce, are still incredible! The service is fast. We got there at 6:10pm and there was already a line of approximately 15 people. By the time the doors opened at 6:30pm, there were about 50 people in line but still room for walk-in seating. By the time we left around 7:45pm, there was a long line out the door waiting to be seated.

Yelp
So the long line isn't much fun but once we were seated outside, we had great service and enjoyed the meal. It's a quiet street so we get to enjoy the warm summer evening. We shared a bottle of wine which is definitely the way to go. Then we started with the salad, which to be fair, is really your only option. They will accommodate a nut allergy. And they understand English well enough too. The unlimited steak and fries were a treat and really enjoyed both of them. The fries are a step above average and steak was tender with a great sauce. Come with an appetite. The desserts were also good. The best part? A very reasonable price for dinner in a city not known for value. Worth the visit!

Yelp
We went for a late dinner and started the queue around 8:30, waited less than an hour for our party of 4. There is a nearby cafe to have a drink, and creperie for a snack while someone holds place in line. We took turns taking time to explore the surrounding blocks. It's my second time, but chose different location in Paris. We had our 2 teenagers, who were equally happy with the medium rare and medium done steaks. The fries and salad always great. We indulged in each ordering dessert, which are large enough to share for 4. Overall an experience we love having together.

Yelp
This is one of those places that you will not see advertised anywhere or pushed to you by the tourist industry but it is amazing. Service was great. Food was stunning. FYI its first come first served and the line was an hour long wait. It was raining and cold but worh the wait. There is no menu. Its a salad - lettuce walnuts and a mustard based dressing. Then Steak done to your desired wellness, fries and a secret sauce. The server will top up the steak and fries for no extra cost. Then you get a choice of deserts. We loved this place and if we ever come back will visit again

Yelp
Came to Paris and heard about this restaurant that was going viral on Tik Tok so I had to try it. First let me just say that this restaurant is really popular and the wait time came be up to 2 hours to get inside to dine. I must say the line does moves pretty fast and the service was great also. The restaurant is okay in size and the can hold a lot of customers and service is pretty fast. Was it worth the hype IMO. No, it's a nice place to try but it not worth going once you been before.

Yelp
10/10! Only one thing on the menu which is steak and fries and it's served with a small salad and bread before the meal! There's also a second serving that automatically comes with the entree and it's perfect. I loved everything about this place. I didn't try to the dessert but it seemed delicious! Will be back. It can get busy but you'll get seated right away and it's very community friendly so be prepared to be elbow to elbow.

Yelp
I seriously think about this meal once a week since I first tried it three years ago! Before a trip to Paris, I was recommended this restaurant with very high praises. No reservations, a set menu with one item, but well worth the line! We actually lost track of time and ended up arriving a little before 9:30pm and there was a small line (maybe 20 minute wait). The restaurant has a cozy French bistro vibe. You receive bread and a starter salad with your meal. The real star of the show is the main dish - sirloin with the most amazing secret sauce and perfectly good pomme frites. The best part is you get a second helping when you finish! I cannot wait until I get to eat at Le Relais de l'Entrecôte again. A must try on your visit to Paris!

Yelp
So we walked miles to find this place. We got there at about 7 and a small line had formed on the right side of the restaurant because only one lady was seating people. This place holds a lot of people, so it takes time for everyone to get seated. We were seated on kind of an end of a row, next to a station. We were kind of lucky I'd say because at least we weren't crammed in the middle of two strangers like our neighbors and their neighbors were. In fact, one party of 2 were shown their seats near us and they ended up not wanting to get seated there because it was too squishy. The hostess literally drags the table to the side so one person can slide in and then she pushes the table back, locking you in. Haha. It's kind of ridiculous. There is a drink menu, but everyone is served the same food. In fact, I think everyone on the table should order the same rareness too because I don't think the waitresses differentiate the rareness between individuals on the same table. We ordered medium and got rare/ medium rare. Which is fine. I was surprised some French people ordered well done with no sauce. The sauce is like a magical herby butter sauce that is delicious with the fries or bread. I like it, but it seems a little plain to get steak frites sans sauce. Everyone is also served a simple walnut salad. I think the salad is just as delicious as the steak, but that might just be me. So after you finish your salad, the waitress will come by with a plate of sliced steak and fries, once you finish round one, she will come back and serve the rest of your steak and more hot fries. Some people said no to round 2. I don't think they realize it's included.... This would be a 5 star experience for me, but I thought the steak was a bit chewy and I didn't like that we were packed in like sardines with tables literally dragged around trapping customers in their seats. Would I be back? Probably, but now I know to either go early to get seated at the better tables or ask to be seated at a better table.

Yelp
Yes, this is a touristy place to get steak frites, and even can be considered a small chain. There's even a location in NYC! But even with all that, the experience is so unique and the food so solid that there's absolutely nothing wrong with putting this on your itinerary. We came on a rainy Monday night and there was still about a half hour line to get in. Once you do get in though, things move incredibly fast, thanks to their minimal menu and setup. As soon as you're sat you're asked if you like your steak medium or rare, and a small salad is served to you. Sorry well-done people, Paris will not accommodate your waste of good meat. Since their menu is literally just steak and fries, it doesn't take long for your food to come out. While I got mine rare, it didn't have the toughness you might expect from undercooked meat. It cut and chewed easily, and of course was helped by that famous herby butter sauce. The fries were terrific - almost felt like elevated McDonald's fries, which is honestly pretty high praise. And of course, once you finish your first plate, you get presented with a second. It was fun surprising my wife with that. We also got a chocolate cake dessert to celebrate our first night in town. The inside is always busy and the decor makes it feel like a classic Parisian restaurant because...well, that's what it is. Don't worry if you're mostly an English speaker, with a non-existent menu it's super easy to get by. A fun spot I'd recommend to anyone flying in.

Yelp
When we got here, I wondered whether it was worth the wait. I had hoped to avoid the lines by showing up at 10 PM. Still had a 30 minute wait. But I have to hand it to them, they work like clockwork. So efficient people moving people in and out. Despite the busyness and action, the vibe and feel is still good. Feels Parisian. Never felt rushed. Service is good. The waitresses are quick and efficient. Since there's only one menu option, there's no wasted time to figure out what to order. You sit down and they start serving the food. The salad is delicious. The bread is amazing like in all Parisian restaurants. The steak is really amazing. Best we had in Paris. The sauce was great. Delicious for dipping the bread or fries into. So glad we came. Hate to say it. It's worth the hype and the wait.

Yelp
If you're looking for something special in Paris, I'd go elsewhere. The service is extremely rushed and the food is mid. I don't want to pay 50usd for bad service, bad wine, and literally steak and French fries. You'd be better off at McDonald's. Waitresses also very rude and like smashed/bumped into us because they were trying to rush so much

Yelp
Ambiance: This place is my favorite spot! Yes there is a long line but it is worth the wait. The space is pretty good and they can handle big parties. You can reserve and only show up. I went like 30 minutes before they open and there was such a long line. Service: The service was good. It is packed and busy but they are fast with the food and gives a lot of refills on steak and fries yum! Food $$: They have coke and wine haha. I would recommend that when it comes to the bread, streak, and frites! So good it melts in your mouth Audience: Solo Trip [X] Family Friendly [X] Friends [X] Date Spot [X] Recommendations/tips: Come 30 minutes before they open! Very viral and popular

Yelp
I enjoyed it! To be honest, at first sight, it did not look very appetizing, but looks can be deceiving. You get a salad, bread, steak, and fries. Would recommend to experience, but I don't think I would come back again. I believe that this is all just personal preference. I've heard others who loved this restaurant.

Yelp
Infamous steak frites in Paris. Couple of locations within the city. We went on a Wednesday night for dinner and the line took approximately 1.5 hours to be seated, however worth the wait. Simple pre fixed menu, starting with a walnut salad, then the steak and fries which was absolutely delicious and savory. They serve 2 portions which was the perfect amount. You can choose a dessert as well for additional cost. Great staff and servers.

Yelp
LOVE this place! My mom and I have returned here every time we are in Paris because of how good the food and service is! While there is usually a wait, it is well worth it. You get 2 hefty portions of steak and fries with the most delicious sauce you'll ever taste. The staff is always nice and doesn't rush you. The profiteroles are also incredible.

Yelp
Arrived 5mins before it opened for lunch. Line had formed, 10 party deep, but got seated right away. After seated, 2 questions were asked: how would you like your steak? what would you like to drink? A simple salad (mustard based dressing) & Baguette were served right away. Then a plate of steak (already sliced), fries and gravy, followed. Fries were thin and crispy, steak was standard, and I like the gravy (I realized not everyone likes the gravy). When we thought we're done, our server came again replenishing our steak & frites!! They have quite a selection of desserts, but we were too full to try. Overall, worth a try, service was great, restaurant has that vintage-y Parisian feel.

Yelp
Long line, but worth the wait! Every bite was excellent, from the salad with mustard vinaigrette, to the steak frites with peppercorn sauce, and finally the vanilla heavy creme brûlée. Would I wait an hour for this meal? Maybe. It was very good but I think there is better steak frites in Paris at a better price point and less busy.

Yelp
The steak and fries are incredible! All you can eat? Wow! Even though the line stretched out from the restaurant 100', it was quick to get in and served very quickly. Great place for a great price! It's no wonder there's a constant line to get in!

Yelp
I went to this place after hearing about it from multiple friends who have visited Paris and seeing it on social media. We went around 12 pm which is right when they open and there was already a line! They were able to seat us within a few minutes, and we received service promptly as well. The waitress took our drink order and asked us how we like our steak. Food was served shortly after, and it was the best meal I've had in Paris! It definitely matches up to the hype. The steak was served with fries and some sort of heavenly green sauce. We finished with an order of profiteroles for dessert, which also was very yummy.

Yelp
Food was delish. It was very delish. And fast. The service is fun and fast. Very delish and tiktok famous. Lots of locations and all the same options. Quick note they do medium or rare. There is no medium-rare here. lol. And don't ever ask for well. lol. Very very good!

Yelp
The staff from our hotel told us abut this place and she did tell us there will be a queue. They open at 6:45pm at night, we got there by 6:13 and it's already a long queue. Luckily we are still able to get in first run. The service was actually very attentive and quite entertained. They only have one single menu with steak. And you only have medium and well done. They will divide the steak outside so you will feel you are in the some sort of camp waiting for food. They also would refill your streak and fries one more time. Overall. I like it. And if you don't mind waiting in a queue. You can sure stop for an experience.

Yelp
This was my bucket list item on my trip to Paris. I am a HUGE steak girl and cook it a lot at home. We arrived to a line just after opening. They had just let the first group in for dinner so we waited about 45 minutes for that group to start leaving. It wasn't too cold. There were a lot of college students nearby hanging out in the streets. The tables inside are very cramped together but we got a back corner. The salad was very horseradish heavy but I didn't really hate it. Finally the steak frites came around. The steak was perfectly cooked!!! The fries were a perfect golden and crisp but needed salt. The famous sauce I really didn't like! I scraped as much to the side as I could. I had a second portion and before I could say anything, the waitress started spooning tons of the sauce on the steak but I didn't want any more of the sauce! I scraped what I could and ate all the fries and steak. I swapped plates with my friend so I could have a clean plate for a third serving and they came and took our plates away. I was still hungry and ready for another portion. This made me pretty disappointed. I'm not sure if it is customary to only get two plates or not. I heard it was bottomless. We were offered dessert but it was not free. I got some because I was still hungry. Honestly, the food was good and I would eat it again but would let the staff know not to load up on the sauce. The steak itself was amazing. I am just sad that I didn't get my filling.

Yelp
I'd go back here in a heartbeat! Knowing this was first come first serve, we arrived about 30-45 minutes prior to opening and there was already a line out front. This place is so efficient - once in line, we were probably seated within 10 minutes. We were seated outside and it was lovely, but they also have a full indoor restraunt that was filled up. This place is a preset menu, with the only customer requests being beverage and how you want your steak cooked. Like clockwork, we were served a starter salad that was so light and refreshing. Immediately once finished, we received our steak frites covered in this magic sauce (no clue what's in it) but it was incredible. Wait staff didn't skip a beat, the minute you're running low on meat or frites they came by with "refills". Worth the wait - was incredible!

Yelp
There are so many restaurants in Paris for steak and frites but this one came highly recommended. They do a good job getting through the wait because there is no menu. They have steak salad and fries readily available you just choose how you want it cooked so you don't have to wait long to eat once you're inside. The food is good I'd give it a 4/5 flavorful and tender but not mind blowing. They have an extensive dessert list that I was unfortunately too full for after 2 rounds of food.

Yelp
We stopped here on our trip to Paris for the traditional steak frites and they lived up to the hype. Steak frites and the sauce were delicious. We got a bottle of the house red wine and it was incredible. Service was efficient and friendly! Super cute spot, highly recommend you check it out

Yelp
You know what you're getting when you come here. Steak and fries and their signature sauce. For any American, this is the Parisian Lawrys! Let's not forget the salad. So for anyone coming here for the first time, come early. It's first come first serve and theirs usually a long line. And pro tip, you get two servings for steak and fries so when you finish your first plate, ask them for a refill! Service is very nice and quick. They deal with so many tourist and foreigners, so they are very patient. When in Paris, this is a must! There's also a few locations around Paris and each place has its own personality, but usually have both indoor and outdoor seating!

Yelp
Great Service! Super fast food and definitely a must visit when in Paris. We waited 40 minutes to be seated, but now I see why, it was definitely worth it and delicious!

Yelp
This was supposed to be my very first meal in France but ended up being my second. After arriving in Paris, noticed that Le Relais de l'Entrocote was open late on a Sunday night and made a beeline walk to the restaurant only to be met by a jaw dropping line waiting to get in. More than 70 people were waiting to get in after 9:30pm! After waiting anxiously for 45 mins and not much progress, a white flag was needed, much to my dismay. Thankfully the itinerary allowed for a visit the next day at noon, which upon arriving, just flabbergasted again by the impressive following of more than 30 waiting to get in so close to open. Unlike the night before however, I did make it in and the food is just delicious. The steak, the gravy, the steak frites....the seconds,.. In my group, everyone desired the same cooked to rare for their steak which made it easy on our server. The frites were crispy and better than the local McD's in the area. Now I will say the seasoning could have been a little more pronounced and the salad was a little pedestrian but this was the quintessential experience I expected from steak frites in France. Our server might have been a little clumsy, but she was incredibly nimble on her feet (the seating is very tight) and efficient, which was all I needed for a fantastic meal. Before warned though, if you plan to partake in this experience, make sure you get here early and wait to get in!

Yelp
If there were ever a restaurant that was worth the wait..it would be this one. I have waited in that line COUNTLESS TIMES and I would do it again and again. Amazing service and one of the best meals I have ever had, hands down.

Yelp
The salad, fries and steak were really good, but the waitress was rude, and yelled at us when she got our order wrong. Unacceptable, especially after waiting 45 minutes to be seated. I doubt we will return.

Yelp
This was the best steakhouse is Paris!! Keep in mind no reservations and they only serve steak and salad. The house red wine was delicious too. We went there twice while we're in Paris - yes it was that good!! If you enjoy a French style steak then this is a MUST GO! The only down side was the waitress on our 2nd visit... typical Parian acting like she did not understand English and not helpful. However we did encounter that in other places too... it kinda goes with the territory there.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Paris and I came back twice despite having to wait in line in the cold. It's definitely worth the wait and I love how steak and fries are the only food so as soon as you sit down, you order how you want your steak cooked. I ordered mine medium and it came out perfectly and was tender. Not only the main food, but the desserts are AMAZING. I love the crème brûlée and lemon tarts. I wish they would just sell the desserts separately for takeout like a cafe

Yelp
Salad: 3/5 walnuts and lettuce with Dijon dressing. Steak: 5/5 got medium, and there was still a nice pink. If you get medium rare I'm assuming it'll be a little bloody. Tender. Doesn't taste like iron. Gravy that came with it was pretty bomb after I put black pepper on it!! Fries: 5/5 pretty bomb. Made the meal very filling. They give you the first half of steak and fries, then when done they give you the second half. I would def come again. They don't do reservations. We stood in line for an hour. I heard average is 1.5 hours. If it's just two people, you may be able to cut the line. Cause they will sometimes skip big parties and find two people to fill up space. Almost like single riders in a Disneyland ride. Crème brûlée: 4/5. Had to get some where it was invented. I liked semi smokiness probably from the way it was burned? The brûlée layer was not as thick as I was used to. Didn't get a satisfying tap on crème brulee layer.

Yelp
WHAT IS IN THE SAUCE??? Really happy I was able to come here, unlimited fries and multiple helpings of steak. I was charmed by the efficiency and briskness of the restaurant. We sat outside, got to feel a fresh breeze and the bustle of the street. Everything past the salad was heavy but delicious. The highlight is really the sauce they use. It is perfection, just tasty drowning it on the beef, drowning the fries in, ugh. It reminded me of chicken curry I've had from two specific sources of my life, and I plan on figuring out how to recreate it lol. You don't need my review as a recommendation, just go and see the line forming right before opening. :)
