"This well-established hideaway enjoys a knock-out location, boasting a terrace right on the beach and a panoramic view over the Bay of Cannes and the Lérins Islands. It is a delight to meet up with Nicolas Decherchi, a gifted chef who trained with the best (from Bruno Oger to Alain Ducasse), once again. He has been given carte blanche to devise a Mediterranean-focused menu with a special mention for dishes to share. Flawlessly fresh fish take front stage, although juicy cuts of meat also vie for pride of place. Open all day long, you can expect a pleasure-loving, casual vibe." - Michelin Inspector

We had a beautiful dining experience at Le Repère! Tucked just outside the busiest part of Cannes, this waterfront restaurant offered the perfect mix of relaxed elegance and stunning views of the Mediterranean. The atmosphere was stylish yet welcoming, with attentive staff who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. 🍽️ The menu was well-curated with fresh seafood, flavorful Mediterranean dishes, and some surprising gourmet touches. We especially loved the grilled sea bass and the creamy burrata starter — both perfectly prepared. The wine list was impressive, and our server made a great recommendation that paired beautifully with our meal. 🌅 The real magic happened as the sun began to set — the view over the water created a truly unforgettable backdrop. Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening, a family dinner, or just an escape from the tourist traps, Le Repère is well worth a visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cannes!

The setting is absolutely beautiful, with the beach nearby and the sun shining in December—simply magnificent. The restaurant was quite crowded, which speaks to its popularity, yet the ambiance remained pleasant and lively. The starters were delicious, and the pizzas did not disappoint—both were full of flavor and well-prepared. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

The food is ok. It’s trying to be innovative but the results are not so good. The service is so so. We asked for butter at the beginning of the meal and we asked twice. Till the end of the meal, we still get no butter. So advice: BRING YOUR OWN BUTTER! The view of the restaurant is great. Come in summer time for a drink, if you’re nearby. It’s not worth going especially for this restaurant.

This is one of the best beach clubs near Cannes I have visited. Very comfortable with amazing views and delicious food at the restaurant. Swimming in the sea was special. Clean warm water make swimming unforgettable. Highly recommend this place!

Frankly, apart from the beautiful setting, nothing works… and unfortunately, that’s not enough. The food is bland, completely lacking in flavor: rubbery lobster worthy of a low-quality frozen product, veal served cold and swimming in blood. Nonexistent service, no attention paid to customers, and the feeling of being treated like cattle. We requested a seaside table (reserved in advance), were refused, and yet several remained empty throughout the meal. Outdated music, unbearable volume, with a singer who made the atmosphere both horrible and cheap. The clientele that evening was not at all up to the level of the place and only reinforced the overall impression of poor taste. An astronomical bill, paying is not a problem when quality is there, but here, you pay for the décor. A shame, because the place could have huge potential if there were at least some care given to the food, the service, and the overall ambiance. An address to avoid.

Stunning Views, Mediocre Food, and Truly Abysmal Service I came back to this seaside restaurant after five years, drawn once again by the magical setting — the view over the ocean is nothing short of breathtaking, especially at sunset. The atmosphere still carries that rare charm that makes you want to linger for hours. Sadly, that’s where the praise ends. The food was… fine. Nothing memorable, but decent enough if you’re hungry and distracted by the scenery. However, what truly stood out — and not in a good way — was the service. Five years ago, I remember being pleasantly surprised by the attentive and friendly staff. This time, it was as if the entire front of house had decided to run a masterclass in how not to treat paying customers. Orders took forever, several times we had to repeat our orders, and when we politely asked for updates, we were met with eye-rolls and ignorance that somehow managed to be both awkward and impressive in their boldness. It felt less like dining out and more like being reluctantly tolerated in someone else’s living room. Come for the view. Stay if you’re feeling exceptionally patient. But if you value your time or your mood, look elsewhere.

Great find. Hidden at the end of the Port de la Rague, this restaurant serves delicious fresh food with a great friendly service while enjoying a table right on a deck above the water. Highly recommend for an off the beaten path lunch!

One of my favorite places on the côte cote d azur. Quiet, most beautiful view of the baie de Lanapoule ( the real name of the baie de Cannes). You can go at sundown for a most relax lounge atmosphere, a great barman will treat you well. Great diner place all year long too. Ask for a table by the water if you are 2.... at the end of the terrasse, quite romantic. Food is good quality well served in quantity, typical of these type of cote d azur places, a bit tacky. Only dark spot is the service, slow, understaffed and overwhelmed at pick hour.

Yelp
Not the same magic since the new ownership and chef took over this restaurant. The good Excellent seaview and outdoor ambiance The not so good Way too snobby for what it is Food was ok but not great for the price tag Service was very average to say the least The Ferrandini twins (previous ownership) had a much better place. Would not recommend this place given the other choices within vicinity (such as l'air du temps in Théoule which has a perched view over the Mediterranean and excellent food and service).

Yelp
Service is a disaster, we have been here on a not busy afternoon and we first replaced and then totally Forgotten. Food choice is rather small during afternoon also. Maybe its better just to come just for drinks and only to the bar or rent a daybed sth.

Yelp
Superb food with great views of the harbour. The owners are two brothers who offer great service and a personal welcome to their place. I have eaten here on a number of occasions and had 1st rate service on all but one occasion, where we were forgotten one busy evening. But despite this one off let down, I have always enjoyed my meals here and would recommend anyone to come for an romantic evening meal or with friends.
