Le Piquebaure

"At the foot of Roussillon village, this picturesque dry-stone house proposes Provençal-inspired food in an enticing menu in which fresh produce is a major component. The restaurant’s pride and joy is its second terrace overlooking the wonderful Luberon countryside." - Michelin Inspector

Google
Absolutely first class restaurant. Outstanding nouveau cuisine French style. Each precious bite was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. Have lots of courses and maybe a snack afterwards to fill up. Lovely setting and servers.

Called in on special and I’m so glad for google maps helping me with restaurants- this place is gorgeous- we had just finished the ochre trail in the village and wanted something nice to eat. We had a table outside at the front (I think the rear terrace was for bookings. We chose a tuna main centre each and we enjoyed the amouse bouche and a glass of wine. The service was friendly and the food incredible and I would highly recommend to come here. Absolutely wonderful.

Google
Quaint restaurant at the base of entering the village of Roussillon with a lovely atmosphere. Exceptional experience owed mainly to the chef and the meal prepared- from appetizer to entree to dessert. Great hospitality with friendliest staff, all things Provençal. Worth a visit without breaking the wallet. Portions aren’t large but sufficient to leave a lasting taste and satisfy most appetites! Merci!!!

On walking distance from the village of Roussillon. This is a nice, authentic restaurant with very friendly staff. Way much better than the usual tourist trap downtown. The chef knows how to cook and presentation is authentic. We had the hot foie gras, which was served on a slice of bread, well oiled. Main dish: scallops with white asparagus. Nicely presented and creative. Can very much recommend this place.

C’est très bon! I was so happy to be able to eat here. Amazing food. Bursting with flavor. I had the beef filet that was done perfectly. And hot chocolate cake (chocolate molten lava cake). The little appetizer they gave me was amazing. Not sure exactly what it was but I wanted more. Parking on street was a bonus. Definitely eat here if you have the chance. Make sure to make a reservation as even on a rainy cool Monday night they were busy.

I had the tuna and Tony had the steak. They were very accommodating for our low carb lifestyle and even though we had no reservation. Service and food was on point. So grateful Le Piquebaure was recommended to us 🤗

From the initial welcome greeting to the end everything was impeccable. Compliments must go to the chef for the beautifully prepared food and the management for the polite service. Overall I look forward to our next visit in the not so distant future.

Google
5 stars is not enough to describe the wonderful and delicious food served there. We loved all the dishes and it's one of those places where you would definitely go back. The staff was also very kind and it's a family business.

Yelp
When you go on vacation and find a superb place to eat, you really feel good. This was our first night in Roussillon, and we were hungry, but it was 9 PM. Someone suggested to us that we try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The shrimp starter was grilled perfectly , and the tuna entree was done perfectly rare, and our dessert was excellent. Check out our video. It's so nice to find people who love food as much as we do and prepare it perfectly. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Yelp
Only three entries offered. One was tripe, the second was a fish dish, and the third was a pork casserole that was only available for two. So, unless you enjoy cow stomach a couple has to settle on the double fish entree or the pork for two. We opted for the latter. Mediocre at best. The carrots and parsnips were not washed thoroughly so one got gritty sand in every chew. The entire dish was over salted and the pork cheeks were tasteless. On top of that, when we gave our waitress our credit card, she ran it and declared that the card was "no good". It turned out that their Internet connection was down--no apology for announcing to the room that our card was bad--and we were told to wait. Twenty minutes later we paid in cash and left. Simply a bad experience and a waste of 60 Euros.

Yelp
Slightly off the beaten path as it is below the main part of the town of Roussillon, but what a nice spot. The views are spectacular but the food is even better. Don't miss the hot foie gras, served in a way that it can be eaten with your hands. The Chef and his wife operate the restaurant and live there as well on another floor. Service was friendly and warm, all the food we tasted was delicious and creative without being too precious and if all of the above is not enough, the prices were very reasonable
