Came here for a birthday dinner with a large group and everything was excellent! Service was fantastic! Very reasonably priced for great quality food and drinks. The vibe in the speakeasy downstairs is super fun

Google
Great spot for happy hours well past 7, and for dates ! I was downstairs in the "speakeasy", it was super cozy with cute jazzy upbeat music. It wasn't too loud. Cocktails were amazing and there was a great selection of non alcoholic beverages. Shared a few plates that were very tasty and very easy to split amongst us. The staff is super friendly and attentive to our needs!

Google
The speakeasy is located in a beautiful underground space. The atmosphere is amazing, music sets the perfect mood and the selection of delicious cocktails is neverending. The bar staff was quick and fun! A special thank you to Amélie for making this visit an unforgettable first experience!

Google
Great date spot, great spot for trying different wines. Reasonably priced. Came here on suggestion by a local. It was super happening. There was a live DJ playing electronic music. It almost felt like you were in a european pub, just lively and so many people hanging out with friends etc. Their cocktail list was expansive and looked very good, but we came for the wines. We had a dessert of the molten chocolate cake which was very nice. The wines were also great. The service was a little hit or miss. There was a gentleman there that was fantastic, I didn't get his name, but really knowledgable and warm. Our direct server was not the greatest, she disappeared for long periods of time and didn't really help too well when we wanted recommendations. Overall a super cute spot, filled with locals.

Google
Rouge Gorge offers a pleasant, understated nightlife ambiance in Montreal’s “Le Plateau” neighborhood — a lively, laid-back area known for its charming townhouses and cozy establishments. The wine selection is impressive, and while the menu isn’t geared toward full meals, the food is exquisite and pairs beautifully with the wines. However, our experience last evening fell short of expectations. Our server seemed uninformed and disinterested, claiming that a wine we’ve ordered many times before was now only available by the glass. It felt more like an excuse than fact, as she didn’t appear willing to check. Her recommendations were limited, and she struggled to answer basic questions about the list and menu. Having seen her on previous visits, we know inexperience isn’t to blame. In the past, we’ve been fortunate to be served by knowledgeable wine enthusiasts who elevated the experience — something we sorely missed this time. Additionally, although the establishment allows guests to bring their own cakes for special occasions, the way ours was handled felt unprofessional: it was presented at the table with candles lit but still inside the box. Despite these shortcomings, we still had an enjoyable evening. Rouge Gorge remains a charming spot, but there’s certainly room for improvement in service and attention to detail.

Google
Had a really great evening with a girlfriend. We sat at the bar and the service was just the right amount of attentive vs leaving us to enjoy ourselves. The bartender gave me great recommendations and I loved the wine he suggested. Will definitely return.

Google
Loved this spot, nice ambience and good food. I asked for no salt on my meal and they totally respected. ceviche is not a bog portion but so fresh and nice. They usually have two kind of small cake for birthday celebration which I like the Lava cake which is very moist and chocolate based. Everything is highly recommended!

Yelp
Bar hopped here as I've heard amazing things about Le rouge gorge. Didn't make reservations, but we were lucky enough to get seats for 5. We got situated in the bottom floor area where there was a Dj and other patrons enjoying their drinks and food. We only came here for drinks, so I got my server to surprise me with a mock tail since I was pregnant, and we got some fries on the side to munch on. Menu for food wasn't extensive, more for snacking than dining imo. Server came back with fries and our drinks. My drink was surprisingly good, I had to make sure there was no alcohol, since I could taste somewhat of gin in there, but there wasn't! The fries were hot and fresh, so good! The other 4 ladies had no problem devouring their alcohol infused drinks, plus a couple of shots and off to another bar we go!

Yelp
Really good drinks! Cool vibe, dj playing music and good service. We ordered the popcorn shrimp and charcuterie board. This spot is good for a late night drink with appetizers. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Light, airy, Covid contentious! GREAT drinks and cocktails! Quite inventive on the cocktail side of things. Very clean and friendly staff.

Yelp
Exceptional service! We decided to sit on the pateo since it was such a beautiful day too bad the tables are made out of metal and it was just too hot for our liking. We decided to bring our drinks and our beautiful selves inside lolol. The bartender was so sweet and genuine. It was his first day and was super nervous to get the drinks perfectly right to our likings. The drinks were great and They are very well reputable for the fine selection of wines and other alcoholic beverages. We ordered a crême brûlée as well and devoured the delicious bowl full of temptation. We definitely recommend this place to have a drink and enjoy a wonderful time with friends or co-workers. Service was amazing super quick and attentive both the bartender and waitress were super friendly and happy to serve us. The food was 5stars!! Top notch! Super happy with our experience and will definitely be back on another occasion. Thank you for this afternoon a big thumbs up!!!!

Yelp
Very cute and inviting bar. Dimmed lights and good music. Makes for a good spot for a date! I asked for a wine recommendation and the waiter was useful. I tried the octopus, but it was unfortunately overcooked.

Yelp
Upscale, classy bar. Enjoyed the slower vibe and older crowd compared to the other more lively bars on the plateau. Drinks were beautiful and well made. They have a club downstairs which was fun and played Miami style/Latin dance music, which was a nice surprise.

Yelp

Yelp
Nice place to gather around for a drink the atmosphere is quiet people from the neighbourhood is here on the week like many weekday pubs on the plateau. Not the noisy type of place. The crowd is a bit older for some reason lots of baby boomers, don't except young people like at Buvette Chez Simone. It is lacking something maybe better music and people watching. I can't say for the beer because I don't drink any but it looks like they have a wide selection of local beers. As for the food because I'm here to rate the food: nothing special, not much people ordered any food, they have a pear salad not bad with a nice balsamic dressing, I also had their potato wedges, grilled octopus and the charcuteries platter. If your looking for a quiet night and talk with some friends during the weeknight this is the place.Have dinner somewhere else after 1-2 beer max here.

Yelp

Yelp
I had to wait until the summer crowds died down a bit before being able to fully experience this new hot spot on Mont Royal. I watched how packed the place was all summer long, from the bike lane that passes beside their front door. I finally had the chance to try it out in October, because there was actually a place for me to sit down! First of all: POPCORN SHRIMP. I ate a small basket, and then I ate the big basket. I was full but I couldn't stop. This place gets a huge thumbs up for having a kitchen open till 2am, because there's nothing worse than hanging out and having a good time somewhere and BAM, you get hungry but the kitchen's already closed. No worries here, in that regard, so we can all relax. The bar staff are really FAB. They take time to stop, look you in the eye, make thoughtful recommendations for wine choices, and let you sip a little o' this and a little o' that, if you're trying to make up your mind. Supah classy. What I really enjoy about this place, though, is the mixed crowd. All kinds of age groups, singles and couples, groups of ladies, groups of office mates, young lovahs, old flames, and every other type. I feel like I can be myself. Nobody's pretending. A genuine good time.

Yelp
Killer wine bar with reasonable prices and some nice appetizers. The place is clean and open with friendly staff. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the charcuterie board. It came with different types of meats such as duck and salami it was a regal tasting party. The creme brulee was really good as well. Place is very nice and the service was on-point. I'd go back. Price-tag is a bit high but that's what you get when you go to wine bar.

Yelp
The gentleman that served us was very nice and polite. If you are looking for a place late at night for a drink with a friend or on a date . I would recommend this place. The ambiance is very comfy and nice. The music is not that loud so we could actually talk. They also have a huge selection of wines. They have some original cocktails as well.

Yelp
What a fun place. I was walking in the area on Sat. night with 2 friends looking for a pub, since all the ones were crowded we went inside this place. It was full but still not packed and had a cool atmosphere. The music in the back was super fun (I felt like they downloaded my playlist), the wine selection is superb and I just dont have anything bad to write about this place...I MUST revisit it :)

Yelp
Nice spot, a little bit noisy though. Nice variety of wine, the price are reasonable and they serve taps. The food is nothing amazing but I always like when bars serve food so that's a

Yelp
Really nice staff, great wines (and suggestions). Th meat and cheese platters were paired well together. The fact that it's open late is a huge plus.

Yelp
Fabulous ambience. I only had their chocolate fondant dessert so I can't rate the food, but the dessert was good for the price. Overall, great experience. Perfect for a date or a relaxed hang out with friends.

Yelp
Good first impression, looks appealling and very trendy But then ... 1- I was told to sit myself where i wanted with a nonchalent and disgusted wave of the arm towards a bunch of unseated spots right in front of the waiters front desk 2- I waited about 20 min and had to wave at the the 2 waiters that obviously knew I was there cause right in their faces, they were going past me back and forth without handing me any kind of menu 3- After waiving at them politely, they handed me the drinks menu without any food menu and without any smile or verbal communication, just tossed the thing on the table. 4- I looked at it and waited another 20 min before I had to signal one of them again, and ordered some wine but still no food menu. 5- After drinking the 3 glasses of sparkling wines that were offered as a special tasting trio, I obviously wished I had something to bite and that would match the wine but nope ... 6- So I asked once more for a food menu, and they dropped it wordless again on my table. 7- They kept going back and forth, looking so busy for an average of 50% occupancy of their bar tables, joking and having fun in a snobby way 8- After about another 10min of this, I told the waiter I wanted the bill and actually told him off too. 9- I am not a difficult client and I have been to a lot of places in my life, but this was the first time ever I told someone off like that and definitely the first also to not have tipped for my order. 10- Conclusion: this place is definitely overrated. I am sure the food and the drinks are fine but they seem to have gone way beyond simple, respectful professional manners, in a very snobby way, unfortunately, and it just feels ridiculously overstated once your sat down and passively become a nuisance to them instead of a client

Yelp
What can I say?? This place is amazing. . Please, have the CALAMARI. Best I've had ever. I make it a point to try calamari from different restaurants, and this place is hands up top tier. Ambience, food, drinks, prices, and best of all the customer service is beyond great. I love this place.

Yelp
This is a nice spot with both indoor and outdoor seating (in the summer obviously). The wine was good but what surprised me was the tasty food. Delicate tasty finger food.

Lilianna H.

Yelp
the beef tartar and spinach salad were both so so tasty and the wine accompanied the food quite well. great vibe for a late night drink and bite
