The 23 Best Restaurants In Amsterdam 2024

"De Pijp locals flock to this wine, bread, and cheese shop to prep for a picnic or pre-dinner party spread. But before filling their shopping bags, their move is ordering a sandwich, like the 43 Special with giant meatball slices, aged cheese, truffle mayo, and mushrooms. Some are even named after regulars who frequent the place—we wonder how many sandwiches Robert (pata negra) and Yasmin (brie) had to order to get immortalized on the menu. " - paolo espanola

Google
My favorite shop for wine, cheese and sandwiches. I love sandwich with pata negra, old Amsterdam cheese & balsamic. I m coming back to the shop for that sandwich for many years ! Highly recommend if you are eating meat! I like service . They change wine suppliers so you can always find a new labels. Usually there is a waiting line enter inside but this is worth it !

Came across this shop when exploring the neighborhood and had such a good experience. They have a huge wine, cheese, and meat selection and great prices! We ordered a sandwich and bottle of wine and walked to a nearby park to enjoy it

This charming charcuterie located in Pijp offers wine by the glass and cold cuts for outdoor seating in front of the store. Their early closing time is the only caveat, but if you manage to visit when they’re open, it’s an excellent spot for a quick stop.

Google
Beautiful deli - take away and eat in, great choice of cheese and delicatessen and fair assortment of nicely priced wine bottles - all from so many European and not countries... you feel the owner selects his offering personally, can talk about all of them, provenance & origin... really a lovely place for addict food shoppers!

I was recommended to try the Daphne - it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had and the service was so lovely! Thank you!! Will come back next time I’m in Amsterdam.

Google
Wide variety of sandwiches, highly recommended. Their deli products look amazing, definitely worth stopping by if you in the area. They also have a big selection of wine. Friendly staff as well.

Yelp
The restaurant is permanently closed, the interior was gutted. Please update this listing.

Yelp
A wonderful place ... we first visited the shop 4 years ago and fell in love with everything about it - wonderful service, great sandwiches and soup ... sausage and cheese, coffee and wine, and bread. It's just around the corner from where our daughter and family live, and we'll soon be there, for the first time in nearly two years, what with covid and all. Can hardly wait for some morning coffee and a roll. When you're in Amsterdam, in or near De Pijp, don't miss this fabulous place.

Yelp
Oh lawd, the chocolate chip cookies. Crispy, not the chewy kind. Nutty.....and melted chocolate oozing in between. They're a thing of beauty. And to think I almost turned it down when offered a sample. Home made lemon marshmallows!!! Meatloaves the size of CANNONBALLS!!! To die for moist brownies and chocolate cakes. Darling mini quiches and sweet pies. Veal truffle sausage rolls. Cheeses. Meats, dried or not. Artisan bread. Wine....basically everything you need for a pick nick or a lazy Sunday This might just be my new favorite delicacy shop in the area, f*ck it, perhaps even the whole of Amsterdam

Yelp
I absolutely love love looooove this place! It should get six stars!! First of all and very important: only place in Amsterdam that has decent bread! (ok, only place that I know of/have tried...) The french name doesn't lie, they know their bread: with a good crispy crust and a soft and yummy inside :) But actually everything in this shop is yummy and looks yummy and makes you want to bring everything home! it's terribly tempting! enter at your own risk!! they have all kinds of french and italian cold meat (mmmm that parmesan-truffle-salami....), and cheeses (mmmm that fresh buffalo mozzarella....), and incredible desserts and pastries (mmmm that chocolate brownie!!!)! They also make delicious sandwiches (with so many great products how could it not be delicious??), soups, and salads for lunch. Also offer a large choice of wines. Very friendly service too! All foodista should know about this place, it is amazing :) only downside: it's quite pricey :(

Yelp
Okay, like Thamar said before; I've found a nice favourite! I have been wanting to try this place for so long since I read about it once on a blog (Tjappings). I live so close to this place but I never went there until today. I remembered it when I was actually walking through that street. I'm super glad I did because it was just great. When you walk towards it you can see the beautiful bread behind the glass and bottles of wine as well. This place is tiny but stuffed with deliciousness! There is lots of wine, all kinds of cheese, stuff like oil, jams, sausages and of course baked goods like the bread, all kinds of pastries: brownies, pies, tartes, quiches.. Everything looks delicious. I bought some garlic infused olive oil and a few pastries. Will try the bread and some cheese next time. I'm sure I'll come here quite often now and I suggest you do the same.

Yelp
I remember when I first moved into my new Amsterdam neighborhood which is not too far from the Albert cuyp market I had parked my bike near the Dirk and walked over to the market. On my way there, I stopped dead in my tracks as I walked by this store. It had everything I love about food! Gorgeous breads that fill the window, bottles of wines everywhere, cheese galore and savory and sweet treats beautifully displaced on the main counter. The place is small. I still remember walking in for the first time and being completely overwhelmed with joy! What do I look at first? Wine, cheese, breads, sweets? I wanted it all!!! Everything is of the upmost quality too. And they make sandwichs. They have a small little bar you can sit at or there are two benches outside to inhale or slowly enjoy your goodies. Sadly, I have to control myself or else my waist would grow and my wallet would shrink. I visit this place about once a month and treat myself to something very special. Usually it's wine and cheese but EVERYTHING is good... I mean EVERYTHING. Oh and if your claustrophobic, I advise not visiting this place during lunch hours... It's a sardine line up in the tiny space. If you appreciate quality food and wines, I advise you to check out this little gem in de pijp!

Yelp
In the Rechtstraat, close to Maastricht Central Station, Le Salonard opened the doors of a super duper delicatessen years ago. One of its claims to fame: excellent sourdough bread - pain de campagne, nuts-figues, walnut-honey - made in its own artisanal bakery. The Amsterdam branch is run by Evelyn en Elroy, a fun and food loving couple eager to please epicureans. Every Saturday at the end of the day Elroy opens a bottle of wine and offers clients a glass. A perfect finish of your hunt for weekend bites: organic charcuterie, quiches, cheeses, a football-seized meat ball and veal-truffle rolls. These home-made rolls are the quintessential autumn food; firm spiced organic meat with an earthy twist. To be eaten pure or with a bit of the home-made truffle mayonnaise. This bite and this season make me scream for one of the available red wines and some 'serious' chocolate too. Le Salonard's best chocolate dessert is the moeulleux, a chocolate pie that spills out liquid chocolate when broken in two. Serve it warm, together with raspberry sauce.

Yelp
One of the best small neighborhood stores in De Pijp. It's a nice family run grocery store. They make really delicious pesto. Always a good selection of cheeses. I recommend the biological Roquefort. My last discovery there is the 'caprese' cake - absolutely delicious. And they offer always a friendly and very personal service.

Yelp
Little French wonderland in the middle of De Pijp. I could literally buy EVERYTHING in this place. The sandwiches and soups are brilliant - inventive, delicious, and the perfect size for lunch. Lovely owners as well.

Yelp
This place is not to be missed! The sandwiches are ridiculously good and all the baked goods looked amazing as well. The staff was super nice. I picked their sandwich where they surprise you and make whatever they think is best. Highly recommend it since they really know what they are doing!! We took our sandwiches and ate on the grass by the museums since we couldn't wait for vondelpark. I'd give them a sixth star if I could!
