Le Senso

"On the market square, this spruce, well-kept restaurant provides the perfect foil for simple, unfussy cuisine in which local produce takes pride of place. Chef Allan Castellote cannot be faulted for his artistic presentations, while his brother Tristan masterfully attends to the wine-food pairing suggestions. The house speciality, kouign amann, is to die for!" - Michelin Inspector

This is a nice concept restaurant. We were in Beauvais for one night and had one culinary experience and it was totally worth it. We are glad we choose Senso, the food was indeed excellent, the chef came to us to check if everything is ok, the staff was nice even if with poor English, but that's fine, we are in their country after all, and it is clear that the chef has vision and passion for food. Totally recommend if you're in Beauvais.

The shrimps were absolutely devine, best I've ever tasted, and I'm definitely a foodie. The rest of the food was good, but not exceptional. We had the shrimps with yoghurt and the langustine ravioli for appetisers, the tuna, and the lobster voile au vent for the main course. The lobster had a bone and the intestine that I had to take out. We paid 119 € for all of the above plus 2 gin tonics. We had the booking for 9 p.m. so we couldn't get the menu carte blanche that we wanted. If you want to try that menu you should probably book at 7 p.m.

Very good food. Really strange atmosphere. Staff hovering. Complete silence. Quite awkward. Put on some music please and create an ambience!

We had our 6 course dinner meal here. The food presentation is 10/10 . The food was nice and full filling. My personal favourite salmon tartare.

I never give my reviews here, but senso really deserves it. Excellent food, with a really fair price. I’m from Brazil, living in Canada and even if I travel a lot I can say that it’s the best qualité prix I’ve ever tried. I hope they never change the price and quality! Excellent job

Le Senso is another of the delicious restaurants here in Beauvais. This one is on the far side of the public parking lot in the city-center one block away from Place Jeanne Hachette. Lunch has four menus; market three course which is delicious with entree, plat and dessert at 26 euros. However, there is an a la carte menu and two more varied and detailed choices. Frankly, if are visiting once, go for the four-course menu at 47 euros. It is delicious. Wines come by the glass at 6 euros or of course there are bottles. Wine prices are modest and the wines are really well chosen. So, when you are in town and don't know where to eat and can afford a really good meal and don't want to drive for a while after lunch, eat here. Call for reservations, there are only 24 seats if I recall correctly. Yes, the staff can speak English.

We had a relaxed New Year's evening dining on a varied, interesting and delicious menu for over four hours together with family. Sure we had a few wines and it cost a little more than usual. It was worth it.

Had a wonderful lunch here yesterday. Refined cuisine with subtle combinations and excellent wine by the glass choices. The decor is fresh and tastful and the whole team is attentive and friendly. This place is a must.
