Dining is not supposed to be a biology class. 40+ parasitic crabs in 1 pot of mussels. I'm sorry to write that this, but spending the entire dinner pulling parasites out of the inside of mussels, digging for crabs in the soup, and feeling nauseous that I ate these is not a good dinner experience. The staff told me this is very normal for fresh mussels. I have cooked and eaten mussels my entire life -- today is the first time 1 out of every 5 mussels had a parasite inside. The soup was full of them. So what did I do? I went to another restaurant down the street today, ordered the same thing. I paid 16 euro versus 20 euro at Le Serac. Zero parasites. The restaurant kitchen needs to properly WASH, purge, and sift these mussels. Patrons don't want this "extra" feature of parasites. Not normal. No thanks for the gaslighting and making me think this is normal. Le Serac needs to change their supplier and test their dishes before serving. Take this as constructive criticism. NO other restaurants I went to in Chamonix had over 40 parasites. I paid the 40 euro for my meal -- not expecting a refund, just honesty and cleanliness.
