On the Grid : Le Swine

"If you love a bacon sandwich, you're probably thinking "but how good can it really be?" The answer is... just get down to The Schoolyard Market on Saturday between 9am and 5pm and find out for yourself because honestly, we can't find the words. There is a reason why they won the Time Out Peoples' Choice Award! Lovingly cooked in a restored Austin Morris ambulance, each bit of thick cut, free-range middle bacon comes in a milk & onion bap smothered with bacon butter and can be accompanied with Swinez tomato sauce, mushroom ketchup or fried duck egg. Aboslutely #pigpimpin" - POST—

London’s Best Bacon Sandwiches and Bacon Butties | Eater London

"Le Swine specialise in bacon butties — an admirable pursuit. Thick-cut Middlewhite bacon sourced from a family butcher in Lancashire is served on a milk and onion bun with bacon butter, mushroom ketchup and an optional — but highly recommended — fried duck egg. It squishes down into an easily manageable whole, unlike the overstuffed competitors splurging their contents with every bite." - Helen Graves

The claim of best breakfast in the UK is not overhyped. It’s called Le Swine and aptly name because the meats are exquisite. Lots of meat and the sausage, black pudding, haggis and the middle bacon all beautifully cooked and seasoned. I had poached eggs, which were amazing and their rye sourdough bread is artisan. Beans are perfect. Portobello mushroom, slow roasted tomato …all top job. Didn’t have the hashbrowns, but they looked awesome as well. Had Freshly squeeze orange juice. Didn’t have the bloody Mary, but the recipe is clearly Mixology-level as well. My wife had the breakfast butty (caramelized onion in bun ) with the bacon and black pudding and it was out of this world.

The best cooked breakfast I have ever had put simply. Open for several years now, this has a beautiful American style diner interior with booth ans table seating. Spotlessly clean with incredible staff and service, there was also an excellent choice of music. The food here, and precisely the full cooked breakfast was out of this world. A cooked breakfast of course is associated with having a little grease somewhere, but somehow Le Swine manage to deliver one which does not have a trace of this. Every item was cooked to perfection, with the sausage and tomatoes being the stars of the show for me, alongside some pillowy white bread that had been buttered beautifully. Accompanied with some very classy earl grey tea that tasted wonderful, I was left starting the day the perfect way. This is a truly exceptional breakfast and daytime cafe which is the best I have ever been too. I would highly recommend alone try this place. Thanks for an incredible breakfast.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Le Swine is just brilliant. The bacon butties are on another level – rich, perfectly cooked, and absolutely bursting with flavour. The team running it are fantastic too – always friendly, welcoming, and on point, which makes the whole experience feel special every time. It’s easily one of the best spots in East Sheen for a proper treat, and I love taking visitors from out of town here – it never disappoints. If you’re in the mood for a late morning pick-me-up, go for the Bacon Butty with black pudding and a Bloody Mary (you won’t regret it). The Full English is another solid shout.

I dined in this beautifully ambient café for a breakfast after a long cycle ride. The waitresses were super warm, kind and humble. I had ordered their 'Bacon egg and cheese croissant' with sausage add ons, 'Bacon egg and blackpud butty' & Granola. I had my eggs scrambled for both of the butty sandwiches. However, I presume, they unintentionally missed adding black pudding to the sandwich and I had to ask for it. They later served it seperately on a plate. Beside this flaw, the food I had at this place was absolutely stupendous. The quality of the meat and bread were outstanding. The price is definitely on the higher side but considering the area they are located at, it is justifiable. Having said that, if they tend to increase their prices, I'm afraid they'll lose their customers, apart from their patrons. The one star deducted is for the pricing and black pudding they missed out in the sandwich (which they served when upon questioned). Thank you for having me over.

Hands down the best CHEESEburger I’ve had in 10 years of living in London! As a foodie who’s super critical, Le Swine blew me away. Set 1 (Full English) was phenomenal, fries in beef fat and hash browns were unreal, and their homemade chipotle ketchup is a must. Bloody Mary? Perfect. A spot you have to try.

Lovely find in Sheen. Really friendly staff, nice atmosphere and great food. I only had a bacon butty which was delicious but the whole menu sounded amazing and the food i could see on other tables really did look good. Looking forward to coming back and trying something else from the menu.

One of the best breakfasts in London. Everything was cooked to perfection — crispy bacon, flavourful sausage, perfect eggs, and that toasted brioche was next level. Great ingredients, great vibe, no notes. We’ll definitely be back!

Exceptional! This is what a cafe/restaurant should be. Brilliant service, greeted with a smile and water straight away, super friendly throughout. We ordered a full English and a bacon, cheese and egg butty. Delicious and you can tell care went into every ingredient from the eggs to the bread. Cool, retro interior. Above all the prices are extremely reasonable. Deserves to be on a “best of London food” list.
