"This handsome country house dating from 1934 is the quintessence of charming! The interior is modern from the guestrooms to the restaurant, whose floor-to-ceiling windows seem to invite the countryside indoors. The terrace and the garden are exquisite. The set and à la carte menus roll out a classical lineup, with the occasional feisty touch that makes the adventure exciting. The chef may pair rockfish with sweet-sour marinated white cabbage and a powerful shellfish sauce. You are in for a global dining experience at Le Val d’Amblève." - Michelin Inspector

"Elegant rooms in two retro - style mansions and a designer annexe with a cedar wood façade. Innate sense of hospitality, relaxation garden and a wellness area with a view over the valley. On the outskirts of Stavelot, an elegant residence from the 1930s surrounded by its own park, under the branches of hundred - year - old trees. Masterful cuisine. Well - set - up rooms." - Tablet Hotels

We came back to Hotel Van d’Amblève after 9 years, and it still has the same wonderful charm. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our rooms by a very friendly lady. The rooms in the annex building have been renovated and are beautifully decorated. We had an excellent night’s sleep. Since our last visit in 2016, the restaurant has also been fully renovated and looks stunning. Breakfast is very good, not extremely extensive, but everything is delicious and of great quality. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one of the two nights, and it was excellent. The only thing we felt less positive about were the drink prices: for example more than €5 for a cola and €8.60 for a small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice is quite steep in our opinion. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the whole experience was delightful. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

Excellent service from both the hotel and restaurant, all the staff were very friendly and attentive to details, felt like being very well taken care of during my whole stay. The wellness area was also zen and clean. Will definitely stay there again when I get to visit the surrounding area next time.

The room was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciated them talking to me in English because I didn’t know French. The restaurant was very tasty and I loved the meals that they were serving. The free parking was great. I didn’t have any trouble trying to find a place to park. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

We stayed at this boutique Belgian hotel on a trip planned by a driving experience operation, and it was beyond expectation. This is an old manor reborn with avant-garde flair, blending vintage charm and cutting-edge amenities. The grounds balance curated wildness, the interiors marry cozy comfort with sleek, modern style. Dining here is a culinary adventure with restrained flavors, and multi-course elegance served with care. Rooms split the vibe: contemporary in the residence, nostalgic in the main house. Owner Lars is your ever-present, attentive host, ensuring every need is met with a smile. A gem worth revisiting!

Absolute gem! A gorgeous boutique experience in a cozy hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, they accommodated for all our needs happily. The dinner was Michelin experience from start to finish - incredibly fresh ingredients, original flavours and attention to detail. It is also 20min away from Thermes de Spa. Gorgeous, gorgeous, romantic hidden gem that we’d gladly come back to! Thank you for having us!

This was a real find and in mid August and very hot, it was lovely to sit on the shaded terrace for drinks before dinner. We went as a party of 16 car nuts and the staff could not have been more helpful. We had 2 delicious dinners in the restaurant where the food was so beautifully presented, original dishes all very well executed. |We had a large fan in our very large bedroom, with a large bed, which was all very comfortable. |A super stay in a lovely hotel.

Stayed here for one night en route back home. Aside from the busy(ish) road, this is a great place to stay. Rooms quite modern, comfortable and well equipped to a very good standard. The patio and gardens are great for pre dinner drinks and canapés, weather permitting (which it was). The dining room is great and striking in its design, then comes the food which we could not fault (nor did we try to!). A great base for touring and within easy reach of the circuit (but beware it gets pre booked a long way in advance). Finally has secure, off road parking.

We chanced upon this lovely hotel during our holiday and decided to stay for a night. The rooms were spotlessly clean, new and modern, with a lovely vibe and atmosphere. The sauna and steam room were a great bonus to our stay. We had an excellent lunch and breakfast (they even served champagne at breakfast) at the hotel. The owners showed us a lovely hike to do right from the hotel, and were kind enough to help us make a reservation at a nearby restaurant for dinner. Overall a fantastic time at this hotel.
