"The Le Valtrivin team, previously in Lapoutroie, has a new home in Ammerschwihr, in the heart of the Haut-Rhin vineyards. It's a brilliant move for this establishment, which is passionate about showcasing Alsace wines – and many others. Here within these old stone walls, a couple is at the helm – he takes pleasure in recommending gems from his incredible wine list; she rustles up appealing contemporary dishes, using top-notch local and seasonal ingredients. Be sure to indulge in one of her truly refined desserts. Highly recommended!" - Michelin Inspector

Le Valtrivin

"An appealing establishment where guests receive a charming welcome. The kitchen is the domain of a Russian-born chef who has spent most of her life in France. Supervising front of house is her award-winning sommelier partner, who has worked at L'Espérance in Vézelay and La Pyramide in Vienne. Alsace takes pride of place in the wine cellar, which has an entire book of 3 500 labels dedicated to the region. The chef cooks up dishes that tend towards the traditional (eg oven-baked veal chop with black garlic sauce) and game from Olivier Nasti's hunting grounds." - Michelin Inspector

Happy to have found such a gem of a restaurant!! The menu was put together very well and the ambiance was welcoming and friendly (we travel with a 5-year old). The hosts were immensely accomodating and gave us an excellent wine suggestion with every course. Cannot recommend the restaurant enough!! 10/10, would definitely go back (every day)

This cozy hotel & restaurant in Alsace has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The room is comfortable. Homemade food from family’s recipes perfectly pared with nice wine recommended by the owner who is top 5 sommelier of France. I will definitely come back again.

Rude service. For years I suffer with severe digestion problems and pain - thus we asked whether we may have anything gluten & lactose free - like a plain salat or anything they find. The gentleman / the owner told me that he's not a magician and definitively they will not do anything extra. I ended up looking at my husband eating his 3 courses. Never ever experienced this in my life AT ANY LEVEL of restaurant - and definitively I'd never expect this in Michelin registered place !!

A lovely hotel with wonderful owners. As we arrived late, the restaurant was closed, but they made sure that we had food and drink, which was greatly appreciated. The room was clean and spacious with comfy beds and an adjoining bathroom. We were late down for breakfast (story of our lives) but again our hosts were on hand to make sure we didn't miss out. At no time did they make us feel pressured to rush. A lovely, charming hotel set in a beautiful location with stunning backdrops.

We visited Alsace to do our yearly wine tour. All 4 groups composed of 8 people stayed in Le Valtrivin Hotel and Restaurant. The day we arrived, we were greeted by a warm welcome, smiling and very accomodating Mr Tristan and Ms Valeria. Service is excellent! The food is very simple but exemptionally good, for its price is very affordable. Each meal are extra ordinary delicous that you feel like you are eating in a Michelin star resto. We really had a good experience staying here and had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this place. Its a place away from home but feels like home! We will definitely comeback!!
