This is a true hidden gem of a place. Everything we tried tasted amazing, we were super impressed by the drinks selection, and the whole cafe gives a cozy wonderful vibe. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. We are definitely coming back to try more things- we had an amazing experience!

This cute little french style cafe has cozy vibes and great ambiance. We ordered 2 coffees and a croissant. Both were above average. I wanted to have bacon egg & cheese breakfast but they don’t sell bacon. Instead they have ham. This place was packed when we arrived . Not a place i would love to come back but anybody looking for cozy place to hangout can give it a try

A charming French style cafe with some unique coffee and tea options and delicious food. There is a tiny patio area on the front of building and a spacious dining area inside. I went with a friend for an early lunch (11:30) on a weekday and the restaurant was mostly empty. I opted for the seasonal rouge blanc latte (ube and white chocolate) with le falafel and my friend had the lavande blanc (lavender and white chocolate) paired with a savory vegetarian croissant of the day. My drink was delicious, the ube offering a slight savory/earthy component that balanced out the sweetness of the white chocolate. My falafel was also delicious, although the huge chunks of jalapeño peppers were pretty spicy, especially when you get a whole mouthful. I don’t mind the heat, if you do you might want to have them left out. My friend enjoyed their latte and very light and flakey croissant sandwich also. We thought we were going to try the desserts too but ended up too full from the sandwiches. They looked very nice. Prices are in line with the neighborhood. We came in at about $20 per person for our lunches after tax and tip. There’s a decent amount of parking in front and more around the back of the neighboring building. Everything is accessible, including the restrooms, although the ramp up is a little steep. We will definitely be back!

Google
In my recent search's for local coffee shops i came to this lovely place with great coffee's and cakes . Place was crowded which is usually a good sign for nice food . I loved the atmosphere, very cozy and friendly feeling. Coffee mugs and decorating gives you a housewarming feel . Nice coffee and cakes

This bakery is a hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, it has a very cozy and at home atmosphere. The pastry, sandwiches and coffees we bought were all great. But what really made my experience stand out was the guy working at the front. His friendly attitude and fantastic service made me feel right at home. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great spot to relax and enjoy breakfast. It was quite busy when we got there, but rightfully so. (ps. I’d highly recommend the Jambon Beurre)

Google
We keep coming over to this shopping plaza and skipping over this building saying “we’ll come back another time”. Well, today was that day and we’re SO GLAD we did. Quiet and clean interior with very cozy and well done French country decor; a pretty extensive menu of pastries, coffees, and sandwiches, and oh my WORD was it delicious! Coffee was made perfectly and not too sweet or bitter. Cute mis-matched cups and plates added to the ambiance. We each had a sandwich and shared a baba au rhum… some of the most delicious bread and pastry that I’ve had in the US. Really took me back to my time in France. This place is easy to pass over because the plaza has a Dunkin’ Donuts and a Weird Bros coffee literally next door, but please don’t pass this opportunity up!

Google
We were looking for a coffee and dessert place after having lunch nearby. The positive reviews led us to try this cozy French cafe in Reston. It looks like an old rundown building with a fresh coat of painting from the outside, and there's no clue that it's a French cafe except for the cafe's name, Le Vingt Trois, displayed outside. However, once we walked in, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the place was decorated with flowers, plants, and picture frames on the wall and filled with wooden tables and chairs, resembling a cozy French garden cafe. We ordered two lattes, a Pistachio Mouse Madeline Cake slice, and a Cinnamon crumble cake bar. The lattes tasted good and were not watered down. The Pistachio cake was dry but tasty with mouse and creme on top, and the Cinnamon crumble cake was sweet. However, we felt that the desserts were overpriced. The service was good, and our orders were brought to our table. The place was packed when we arrived, and it seemed like it needed more staff as our table had crumbs and was a bit sticky, so we had to clean it ourselves.

While the cafe was cute and cozy, the service was extremely poor. I ordered the jambon buerre at 9:53am when the cafe was still half empty, and perhaps because there was a flood of customers shortly after I was completely forgotten. I politely reminded them 20 minutes into waiting that I still needed my food, and got a “dismissive we’re still working on it” despite seeing other later patrons getting their sandwiches promptly. Thirty minutes in I went up to the counter and asked again, and it turned out they had indeed forgotten my order and were not in fact “working on it.”The cashier was surprised at how far back he had to dig to find my receipt in his stack. I got my sandwich at 10:27am. Unfortunately there was no verbal apology, and there was definitely no offer of a complimentary pastry or anything to acknowledge my unpleasant situation. I fully regret my 20% tip for such subpar service.

Yelp
Love everything about this cozy place! The pastries are made there as is everything else! The cakes are outstanding and you can buy one slice or a whole cake! Love all the pastries and sandwiches! If you haven't been there, just try it once! You won't be disappointed and you will go back again! Ray is the manager and is a delight!

Yelp
My friend wanted to take me out for a birthday breakfast and I randomly found this place on Yelp. I'm so glad I did, you would never know it was a cute Cafe on the outside. It's located in an industrial park in Herndon. The atmosphere is comfortable and beautiful. The specialty latte I got (something like 'by the fire') was better than the gingerbread latte from Starbucks. And I got the prosciutto sandwich (Jambon Beurre) which was light but rich in flavor. By 11:00 Monday morning, it was full! Definitely want to come back!

Ross W.

Yelp
Came here after reading many reviews, the place was quite busy at lunchtime. Ordered the Jambon buerre on recommendation of the cashier. It was just ok. Probably would try something else. I did come here for the croissants, and they were disappointing, better than grocery store croissants, but they also tasted old. They were "collapsed" and were not very flaky. I am a croissant snob. Overall is a nice atmosphere inside, terrible location for a café (not their fault.

Yelp
So cute and the food was good too. Definitely a fun place to go hangout and grab a cup or coffee

Ebonie C.

Yelp
Firstly the cafe is next to another cafe but is always busy! It's beautiful and the French modern decor inside is so cute. It gives off French bakery vibes. The May Flowers iced latte was really good. Has a raspberry cold foam with vanilla. I'd definitely stop by again

Chi L.

Yelp
Saw the awesome reviews so when I was in the area, I finally took the opportunity to stop by. I ordered a simple iced latte with hazelnut syrup added to it. I don't know if the hazelnut was very very weak but I did not taste any hint of hazelnut. There was not a single hint of hazelnut that there could have been a chance it was forgotten. The latte itself was ok, I had to go home and add in my own hazelnut syrup to it. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, if I was in the area I might stop by and give it another chance but was quite disappointed with this trip.

Yelp
The interior is an attractive reflection of a French cafe. The coffee is excellent. It is served in nice ceramic cups on saucers, however, there is an unexpected $1 a cup upcharge. I had a Croque Monsieur directly from the display case and microwave. It was covered in a too sweet bechamel sauce that over shadowed the the ham and cheese. My wife's Jambon Beurre was better. The bread roll was excellent and the ham was noticeable.

Ericka S.

Yelp
This small, homey feeling spot is the perfect place to have a cozy conversation over some coffee or tea and pastries. This is a French-style cafe with a variety of armchairs, love seats and high back chairs to sit at, as well as coffee tables to set your drink and food on. There is a small patio area equipt with chairs and umbrellas, but the view is in a strip mall/business plaza, so it is not the best place to look around. This cafe offers unique drinks that include matcha, raspberry cold foam, etc. and they offer nice ceramic cups to drink out of. The pastries and bites (croquet madam, jambon buerre) are homemade. I would recommend this place to meet a friend to catch up or even a first date. The cafe is usually a bit busy, but it tends to have a decent turnover.

Liz R.

Yelp
Decided I wanted / needed to switch up my morning routine and have sit down coffee somewhere and I decided to give Le Vingt a try. There's an adorable outdoor patio with tables, chairs and umbrellas if you want to enjoy your coffee with a little sunshine and there are plenty of shabby chic chairs, tables, love seats and high back chairs inside. They do a really nice job of literally making you feel transported to France with the decor, menu and music. The staff are all super friendly and go above and beyond to ensure you're good. I ordered a cappuccino and a ham & cheese baguette and was told to grab a seat and my order would be brought out to me. In about 5 minutes I had my order and it was plated on the cutest dishware which just elevated the experience even more. Both the cappuccino and baguette were made to order and absolutely fresh and delicious (I wound up bringing 1/2 my baguette home). I am so happy that I switched things up and decided to have coffee at this little gem of a cafe. I will certainly be back :)

Jade W.

Yelp
Love it here! It's such a cute cafe and their offerings are amazing. The staff is always nice and on point. They remember our order and always greet us with warm welcome. Jambon Buerre is what we always get. We ask for extra arugula and they're happy to do it. The owner once said that her original recipe had more arugula but the guests told her there were too much of it so they don't mind adding extra. Lately we've been ordering their seasonal drink, Paris Rose: vanilla, lavender latte with a cream foam and dried rose garnish. It's aromatic, lightly sweet and delicious!

Dan A.

Yelp
We were in the area and stopped here for lunch. A cozy dining area with French Decor and music piping through the speakers. Welcoming outdoor seating area. We ordered some Coffee. Macchiato was strong and was enjoyed as well the Oat milk Cappuccinos. I thought my mug had some dirty spots on the rim but the mug was chipped. (Noticed second mug was chipped also). They offered to remake the coffee but I declined. Just should replace chipped Mugs. Now to our sandwiches. I asked which was the most popular one and it was the Jambon Beurre-tasty combo of Brie and Prosciutto with their special Butter in between just right crusty Baquette didn't disappoint. The Pesto Poulet was also excellent and is a contender for the best one. You order at the counter and they bring food and drinks to your table. Service was friendly. That said, we didn't have silverware or sugar, etc. at our table. There was a condiments station so we helped ourselves. Ordered an Apricot Tart to go and it was very good. Other Pastries looked good also. Overall, solid French Cafe serving tasty sandwiches and coffee.

Yelp
I have been to this location for dessert back when it was a Gelato spot, a crepe spot, etc. Once I found out it changed, I knew I had to try it! My friend and I were looking at the menu weeks in advance of our visit to see what we wanted to order. We knew in our hearts and belly that we needed the pistachio cake. Once we arrived (after eating a large meal at the Ethiopian restaurant), our eyes were bigger than our stomachs....yea that's a real thing when you're in a bakery!!! We were feeling a little nutty and ordered the following items: -Nuts about you (pistachio, hazelnut latté) -Almond succés $8.20 -Almond croissant $5.35 -Pistachio cake $6.90 They were kind enough to split the latte into 2 cups for us and it was just AMAZING. I was a little confused about the almond succés flavor/texture, but my friend disliked it. The almond croissant was good. the Pistachio cake just deserves its own moment and I would highly recommend it!!

Yelp
This place would get five stars for ambiance but the food was really lacking for me. I have seen Le Vingt Trois frequently recommended for croissants, so I got both a croissant and a pain au chocolat to try, and both were pretty disappointing. The croissant tasted more like a crescent roll and didn't have the classic, flaky, laminated layers that make a true croissant. I also got a Villageois sandwich, which had halloumi tomato, and pesto. It was okay, but did not stand out to me. It's also a pretty small portion, although the price is reasonable (it was around $8.50). I really enjoyed the latte I had, though- it had salted caramel and amaretto and was absolutely delicious. It's really cute inside, so I think this would be a nice place to come for some coffee or tea and to catch up with a friend.

Grace N.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop! I stopped here on the last day of my visit in the area so I was only able to get a drink to go. I got a pistachio latte and it was heavenly delicious! Service was a bit slow as they were also training some staff.. but they were all so friendly. I would definitely come here regularly if I live in the are.

Jay P.

Yelp
A bit of downgrade compared to when I first came here two years ago. The price has gone up (~$19 for a sandwich and iced tea) and didn't seem worth it, and the atmosphere (cushion/comfort of the couches, etc.) has depleted. There is lots of potential here, as the character of the place is unique, but maintenance and upkeep are required along with getting more value for your food/order.

Cynde C.

Yelp
Tiny little cafe with a Great variety of interesting hot tea and coffee drinks & yummy pastries. I go for the Jambon Buerre sandwich which is fabulous. .usually fairly busy but service is efficient. Not really a place to set up your laptop and work but some people do.

Radha P.

Yelp
Stopped by Wednesday afternoon to get some coffee. Tried the rose latte and it was ok. I didn't really taste the vanilla or lavender flavor. The rose cold foam also didn't stand out. I liked that it wasn't too sweet. Plenty of seating inside and great lighting. Friendly service!

Yelp
Le Vingt Trois Cafe & Bakery is located in a mist-mash of businesses in a sort of industrial looking complex. It's right across the way from the Weird Bros. location where they do all of their bean roasting. I walked in around 11:100 am. All the tables outside and inside were occupied - so a good sign there. It feels like a small Mom n' Pop operation - which is cool. I ordered a cold brew with creamer - it was strong and tasty and got the ole neurons firing in my brain! Paid with Apple Pay. Service was good. #LeVingtTroisCafeAndBakery

Vina H.

Yelp
This is a cute little cafe with very cute decor and utensils and cup and dishes. The space is small and cute and it can get real busy during their peak time in weekend. The cake is delicious and very light and not too sweet. Perfect with a hot cup of coffee. Their breakfast is delicious as well. I got the lavande blanc , not too sweet and perfectly blend.

Ricardo O.

Yelp
Love this little cute French cafe the food and coffee where out of this world we are definitely coming for more. We loved it so much we got goodies to go. The service was amazing they recommended stuff and even cut the food for us to share which you don't see this days.

Gabriella T.

Yelp
Great service and calm experience. Great place to grab a coffee with a friend or study. The adorable surroundings make it a very pleasant experience.

LoiLoi F.

Yelp
This cute french cafe is such a hidden gem! The coffee is strong, pastries are sweet and buttery, and the inside is so cute and cozy! Staff are super kind and patient! Definitely recommend the croissants and sandwiches!

Ronit G.

Yelp
Hidden cozy place to meet for a date or a friend for coffee, pastry, sandwiches , salads & more off the main road in Herndon . The small little cafe endears lots of round tables, cushions on chairs & counters for enjoying a quaint atmosphere with tasty food, tea, lattes and amazing scones which mimics French taste and less sugar.... Yay! Most if all, the staff is always hard at work, preparing food & delivering it to all the tables with a smile. They also are very diligent at cleaning off tables after people are finished eating... Very impressive. Their menu is small, but has a very large variety of desserts, food and coffees to choose from ; my friends and I will definitely be back!

Anne M.

Yelp
FYI, this is more a cafe than a bakery. They said they don't sell baguettes. Perhaps they bake some things, but if you are looking for a French bakery, you might waste a trip as I did. I would appreciate a nice bakery in the same general vicinity.

Ray N.

Yelp
Mary, the amazing owner is originally from Australia. Lucky me just got back from Melbourne 4 weeks ago for this genuine Aussie love and care here in Virginia. The name of this gorgeous, cozy, sweet, comfortable cafe and bakery means " The Twenty Three" in French. The sweet lady who told me about this fantastic establishment is from Azerbaijan, once part of Iran. The delicious sandwich that I ordered here and absolutely loved was the Jardeniere, with Labneh or Lebanese cream cheese as one of the main ingredients. The three superstar team members in the photo at the counter are Asian, Albanian( the awesome Ray)and African American. They had an onslaught, I mean a line twelve deep in the pouring rain at 1:10 pm and they masterfully and effortlessly prepared the orders, cleared and cleaned the tables, kept the line flowing while smiling. The theme and the song playing in my head is " International Love" by Pitbull. Hats off to the stellar cafe owner Mary who has brought her architectural and design expertise in creating a warm, inviting, beautiful environment coupled with her love for all types of food - Croque Monsieur, Roti, Pasta Penne, Labneh in the Jardeniere, grilled halloumi in the Villageous Sandwich - for us lucky Virginia residents ( and this NYer) to love and enjoy as if we were sitting in Paris's 23rd district ( Paris actually has 20) here in Herndon.Sure feels like it. The cakes in the display looked absolutely stunning- I was eyeing the pistachio layer cake. I also ordered a hot, hot, hot( asked for extra hot) hazelnut mocha and the combination was a symphony. My beverage was steaming hot. So for all of you local love starved, looking for love Virginia folks who would love to enjoy these treats; Le Vingt Trois is right on Sunset Park Drive at the south east corner of Herndon Parkway and Spring Street. Open M to F from 7-4 and 8-2 on Saturday. Closed on Sunday. Je Taime!

Yelp
We came here because our United flight was canceled and the airline put us up in a hotel close by. We found this place here on Yelp and walked here and from our hotel. Absolutely amazing. Food is probably the best we've had in the area. The ambiance the service is superb. The cashier person had a lot of patience and helped us. They also took our Untied food voucher. Cannot recommend this place more. Their food is next to none in quality. Must have the ice mocha!

Sharon H.

Yelp
Firstly, the decor is absolutely adorable with the blue walls, blue and white cushions, and dainty chairs. However, because they are quite busy, the workers don't clean the couches/tables/chairs often. It also matches well with the plates/cups. It's a cute place to get work done as it isn't too loud either! The lavender latte looks as it tastes, but I think the main attraction is the plating more compared to the food. That being said, the lavender flavor was definitely there and not too overpowering. The cheese and ham sandwich, however, was pretty burnt on the side :( Again, what makes this place stand out is the plates and the decor.

Tiffany N.

Yelp
A super cute cafe with delicious drinks and sandwiches! I came here to do a bit of work but also have something to sip and munch on during a busy Friday morning, and this place was packed. The ambiance is a bit loud (lots of people come here to hang out and chat), but I still found it quite tolerable. The interior is super adorable and the staff are super kind and friendly. Plenty of drink options (coffee, tea, etc) as well as things to eat (pastries, sandwiches and more). They also have free wifi and a good amount of parking. I ordered the croque monsieur (they heat it up for you if you prefer) as well as the May Flowers coffee. Both were super tasty and were served to me fairly quickly, even though it was very busy inside with a line. I'd definitely stop by again to visit if I was in the area! I want to try a lot of their other drinks and snacks :)

Tonya N.

Yelp
They have excellent pastries & bread. The owner is very nice. I would definitely come back and try other items on the menu. It is very clean and everyone is very friendly.

Nancy R.

Yelp
Le Vingt Trois is a cute little café in Herndon.  The staff is really friendly and the parking is easy.  The décor is nice.  I only wish I enjoyed my sandwich more.  I ordered the chicken avocado which I was told was one of the most popular on the menu.  It was not a favorite for me, unfortunately.  I was surprised that it didn't even come on what I would consider a baguette but more anemic, softer bread that wasn't that crispy.  I did like the almond croissant and, again, the staff was super helpful about packing things to go and keeping them refrigerated until we were ready to leave.  My friend ordered a croque monsieur and said she really like it so maybe, if we go back, I will try that instead or just have dessert.

Dakota M.

Yelp
This place is so cute! I came here for a date breakfast with my husband! We wanted to try one of their unique coffee latte's and chai tea. We ordered the madame croquette and some pastries they had. I will say the food was just meh. I got lavender in my latte and it was delicious. The china they use reminds me of going to tea time with the queen. It's very inviting and quiant space. The barista's were very nice and friendly. There are books everywhere for you to pick up and inspire you to read them. The chairs are all different and feels like your taking tea in the drawing room. It was a fun experience and what a surprise, where it's located in an industrial park. They have really good drinks, and if you are in the area, they are worth a try!

Christina Y.

Yelp
I had been wanting to check out this cafe when I saw it while at a business nearby it and it exceeded my expectations! The cafe is located in a small shopping center off Spring St, same one as Wooboi and Weird Bros. There is a moderately good amount of parking around, but pretty limited if you are trying to park right in front of the cafe. When I stepped in, I saw that it was pretty busy (for a good reason) and the employees were doing their best to fulfill orders as quick as they could. I ordered 3 sandwiches: Pesto Poulet, Croque Monsieur, and Jambon Beurre. For pastries, I ordered a chocolate croissant and almond croissant. I also ordered a seasonal drink: The Secret Garden. I ordered everything to go, but wanted to comment on how nice and cozy the cafe itself was, so next time I would love to have a seat and eat there. My family and I enjoyed all our sandwiches and how they were packed for takeout. All utensils were included too. 10/10! The service was super friendly which I appreciate and I didn't mind the wait for our food which didn't take too long at all.

Ed R.

Yelp
Perfect cafe to sit and have excellent food and coffee. Service is great and friendly Prices are very reasonable

Eastie T.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem to be honest, I walked past a lot of times but didn't try it somehow. Was going to get coffee at Weird Brothers and came in here to avoid the huge line. So glad I did, I had the best Croque monsieur in a while and the Cappuccino was amazing too! When you are here take the time to enjoy the meal and drink

Iulia G.

Yelp
I've been to Le 23 Cafe a few times and they're always quite busy, but that could be due to me usually going on Saturdays. I absolutely love their decor and dishware. I've tried their sandwiches and they're alright, but nothing to write home about. I do love their desserts - I've had a few of them and liked every single one. Overall, the staff has been alright. Last time I went there, there was one employee making all the drink orders and someone I believe to be the owner chatting up some customers who I'm assuming couldn't decide on what they wanted. Even though I was standing at the register ready to order, it took a good 3-4 minutes for her to even acknowledge me. I didn't even finish paying and she went back to talking to those ladies. My latte was ready and I was still waiting for her to give my dessert. Finally, after the other employee took drinks to a few tables, I asked him to give me the dessert. Definitely didn't appreciate the lack of attention from the owner. I'm a paying customer just like everyone else.

Kelly M.

Yelp
I've been busy and entirely remiss in reviewing lately. My phone is full of pictures of food experiences which have not yet made it to light of day, but this cannot happen with Vingt Trois, so here I am noshing on their brownie (blondie?) in the middle of my work day and writing my review. As other Yelpers have shared over and over again, this cafe is delightful. It's even more delightful than I expected, and I had high expectations due to all the other reviews full of rainbows and unicorns. There are lovely details everywhere you look, but rather than making the place feel pretentious or overdone, it feels warm and inviting. It's a gloomy rainy day and I went in at lunch time dripping wet wearing a mask. The place was humming with people yet it was not noisy and there were a number of comfortable seats still available. As I had just come from picking up bags of dirt for my garden, I had to grab something quickly to get back to work before my time for lunch expired. This is to say I looked like a soggy wet hot mess. Did the beautifully dressed person behind the counter care? Not that I could tell. Genuine smiles from her and the two other ladies working behind her. I decided to try a falafel sandwich, a brownie, and a hot drink. I usually eat much later in the day but the falafel sandwich was warm so I decided to eat it fresh instead. OMG it was sooo good, and entirely unexpected. For one thing it's a wrap, which I preferred. I usually don't like pickles but it totally worked against the fresh radish and the other goodies in the wrap. The drink was perfect, not to sweet. If you're not a fan of dairy they also carry oat, soy, and almond. And the blondie? So worth it. All in all, I'm totally a fan. I will be back. And next time I hope I have time to relax in one of their comfy chairs, chat with a friend, and thoroughly enjoy this lovely cafe.

Thao N.

Yelp
If you want to come to a low key coffee shop and support local business, this is the place! There's French accordion music in the background and the decor is French cafe. The drinks are expected to be flavorful and not made to be sweet. The pastries are beautiful. I had a chocolate croissant and this bread pudding with blueberry and apricot with lemon curd glaze. Delicious! Not made for a large crowd but great for a solo trip or a small group. Enjoy!

Kendall C.

Yelp
Ordered two coffees. Both tasted like steamed milk. Cute coffee cups though but would not come back again.

Lauren D.

Yelp
I get the same thing every time because it's always perfect: Small Americano with a touch of heavy cream. Their cups are so beautiful and besides good coffee, it's a huge reason people come here. It's not in the sexiest locations when you pull up BUT they've made the outdoor space so sweet and welcoming and inside is so nice that it feels like it's own little world. I'm here weekly without fail

B J.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! It was quite crowded when we arrived but our drinks and sandwiches came out quickly. Cute and cozy spot. Looking forward to trying a pastry next time; they all looked tempting.

Yelp
Cutest local French café, including the food, service and ambience. The sandwiches and desserts are so fresh and homemade, and it shows the texture and taste. The tea service and the teapot and China cups is a really sweet experience. I've been back here many times for working or meeting a friend for lunch or dessert.

Yelp
Loved this hole in the wall cafe! Came in a while ago and had a lovely experience at this cafe. Great atmosphere and excellent service: loved the decor that really set the mood right. The food itself was pretty solid! We got two tasty sandwiches that had excellent bread, fresh ingredients, and overall tasty flavors. I will say that I liked my drink less (not pictured) which was a mango iced tea. Tea was a little over-steeped, but not a huge issue. Overall great experience would return :)

Yelp
Come to Le Vingt Trois to be truly whisked away to Europe! I am unbelievably impressed by this little local charmer! The setup is truly magical and feels very un-Virginia-ish, which is the best compliment! The owner and other worker were beyond sweet, and the food & drinks went perfectly with the theme. My honey & vanilla latte was to die for- it had real honey drizzled all around the cup- YUM!! And the ham and cheese croquettes- oh my goodnessssss! Wow! Everything here was too notch. I'd say the only small issue was it was a long wait for the food and drinks, but they are a brand new small business so I'm sure they'll get quicker and more efficient with time.

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick bite and decided to try the Croque Monsieur. This place is much larger inside then I thought it would be. It's beautiful inside and the people are so nice and friendly. Plus the ambiance is complimented by soft jazz music in the background. (Music is a must for me!) My Croque Monsieur was DELICIOUS!!! It's like a fancy ham and cheese sandwich. My bread was cooked perfectly and the beschemel sauce was nice and creamy. The cheesy top was a bonus as all of it comes together perfectly with each bite. Honestly perfect!! I heard another customer say they have wonderful chocolate croissants so I will have to try that next time!!

Yelp
Unbelievably fresh ingredients! Their signature coffee offerings are all beyond good. My favorite is the hazelnut mocha.

Yelp
Le Vingt Trois, or Le 23 Cafe for short, is a cafe and bakery located in an industrial-esque plaza with other businesses. They just opened back in February during the pandemic, and I am glad that they are here in Herndon! Their breads and pastries are all made in-house - the menu offers various soup, salads, sandwiches, and desserts, as well as a nice selection of tea and coffee beverages. We didn't have room for an additional meal, having lunch recently, but we definitely had some room for some drinks and a dessert - I had the Whipiccino (which was a frothed, sweetened espresso, poured over ice cold milk) and a Havana Cold Brew (vanilla cold brew, topped with the house's snow foam), while the hubs had the Berry Hibiscus iced tea (which is brewed-to-order!). The drinks were expertly made! We also couldn't pass up on the slice of the pistachio ricotta cake - this was absolutely DIVINE! It was so fluffy, creamy, and delicious, not being too sweet! You can tell that everything was crafted with love and a smile - the staff here were just so welcoming, kind, and friendly. There were plenty of comfortable seats available, and there were some patrons who had their orders to-go. I'd love to return to try out the rest of their specialty coffee drinks, featured cakes, desserts, and their sandwiches with the housemade baguette! Thank you for existing, Le 23 Cafe - what a gem in Herndon! Plenty of parking in the plaza lot. +delicious desserts! +great coffee/specialty drinks! +super kind & friendly staff! +plenty of comfortable seating +plenty of parking in plaza lot

Yelp
Le Vingt Trois is a perfectly dreamy shop to relax in a big comfy chair and enjoy the moment with one of their delicious espresso drinks. I always order their cortado, but I couldn't resist the Troispresso. So I did what every coffee fanatic would do, I order both. The Troispresso is a layed drink served in a shot glass. The layers are vanilla syrup, an espresso shot and lastly topped with steamed milk. It was simply lovely. The cortado was perfectly made. I was a little hesitant when the cortado was served in a ceramic cup instead of a glass. My initial thought was that the cortado would taste like a cappuccino. But it was definitely a cortado. The front of the building is nothing special, but the moment you walk through the glass door you know you found something special. The furniture was mismatched, but it added charm and the feel of comfort. I couldn't wait to get my order in so I could sit next to the window and enjoy my book.

Yelp
Such a delightful find! This French-style cafe is a treasure trove of delicious pastries and aromatic coffee. I wish I could taste all of their baked items; each one looks more tempting than the last. Friendly guys. A perfect spot to indulge in some nice treats and enjoy a cozy atmosphere. They really take you to Paris!
