Cuisine of Italy's Abruzzo region showcased via pasta & salumi, plus warm-weather garden seating.
"Le Virtù is where you go in East Passyunk when you want to eat Italian dishes like arancini with spicy sausage and a lemony branzino, but don’t want to do it in a closet-sized room where you end up grazing a stranger's knee. There’s a lot of space here, including a lovely candlelit patio, so it’s a good spot for a weeknight group dinner where you pass a plate of spicy Abruzzese sausage with polenta around the table while sipping on a glass of red." - candis mclean, alison kessler
"Le Virtu is where you go in East Passyunk when you want to eat comforting, thoughtful Italian food in a room that's larger than a closet. The regional-specific menu highlights food from Abruzzo, which means you'll eat a lot of rustic lamb dishes, pasta shaped like tiny wizard hats, some homemade ricotta, and maybe Abruzzese sausage with polenta. Come on a Sunday night when you don't feel like cooking or whenever the weather is nice enough to sit outside in their massive garden." - alison kessler, candis mclean
"Le Virtù, Passyunk’s beloved Abruzzese destination, has a charming patio serving classics — like maccheroni alla mugnaia and cavatelli with rabbit ragu — and rotating seasonal items." - Ernest Owens, Eater Staff
"East Passyunk’s destination for Abbruzze fare serves excellent classics like coniglio and ziti alla Genovese, as well as vegetarian plates like scrippelle and roasted eggplant triangoli. The outdoor patio is lovely and the wine list is thorough. You can book through Resy." - Ernest Owens
"We love Le Virtù in East Passyunk all year round, but there's something special about sharing huge portions of ceppe ai funghi, lamb sausage gnocchi, and lemony whole branzino on their patio during the Spring and Summer. They have a long family-style table that can fit up to seven people, lots of tall trees, and overhead lighting, all underneath a large outdoor tent (so you can enjoy the never-ending strand of maccheroni alla mugnaia even if it rains)." - candis mclean, alison kessler
