Superb family-run hotel. We felt so looked after following a long randonnee in the mountains. Fantastic breakfast, picnic (on request) and dinner using local produce. Beautifully located in the charming village of Saint-Savin. Easily accessible by taxi/car/bike, not so much by public transport.

One of the best places we have ever stayed! ||We spent a wonderful weekend at Le Viscos. Saint Savin was a perfect location for exploring the French Pyrenees, as well an idyllic place to relax, drink a glass of wine on the bistro patio, and enjoy the charm of village life. ||We had fantastic meals at both Le Viscos and Le Bistrot de l’Abbaye. The food at both was delicious and innovative, and we really appreciated how accommodating the chefs were of our various food allergies and restrictions. ||It felt like the chefs, their family, and really the whole town was looking after us and invested in our comfort. We wish we could have stayed all week!

I visited the restaurant in September 2024 for an evening meal. It was had been looking forward to this experience for some time and I wasn’t disappointed. The fine food and wine were exceptional but even better were the family and staff of Le Viscos. We were really well looked after; the service was brilliant. Even the diners near us were really nice people. I would love to come back and would certainly recommend Le Viscos to anyone!

We had a special dinner here but did not stay at the hotel. The meal was fabulous. I don't know when I'll be in the area again but if I ever am, I'll be back. Courses were well paced, service was minimally attentive (in true French fashion), every bite was exquisite. You can't go wrong.

We had the chance to celebrate my 40 years birthday. My husband chose this restaurant after looking at several place recommended by the Michelin Guide around Lourdes but also because of the Saint Martin family tradition in defending local state of the art regional cuisine. The Saint Martin family was wonderful with us (from booking to making sure that our lunch was perfect). Adrien, one of Mr Saint Martin's son help my husband to book a private dinning room and prepared with his brother Alexis and his father Jean-Pierre the birthday tasting menu called "revisited creation and tradition": - Foie gras with truffles - Lobsters - Choice between "Pigeon Farci aux Cepes" or "Carre de Porc de Bigorre". This is an exceptional place, being originally from the region, we came back to live in France after 7 years in the US and are used to this regional cuisine. In short, this place is "must go" if you have the opportunity to visit Saint Savin.
