We live nearby, and my husband and I come to this café almost every weekend during the summer after our morning walks. I previously posted a great review about their croissants because we truly enjoyed them.
However, after a long winter, we returned for the first time and were very disappointed. The croissant we received was burned. We did not eat it at all and brought the untouched plate back to the counter to ask if it could be replaced. Unfortunately, the staff member at the counter was quite rude. He told us that because my finger had touched the croissant, he could not replace it. I was shocked by his response and asked, “So if my finger hadn’t touched it, would you resell it to another customer?” The situation was unbelievable.
When I asked to speak with a supervisor, he said the supervisor was not present and that he himself was the shift supervisor. In the end, we did not eat the croissant at all.
We are extremely disappointed — not only with the quality of the croissant this time, but especially with the attitude and customer service we experienced.
