I’ve come to POST quite a few times over the last year, most recently to see the Christmas Lights. Every time I come back I make it a point to try something new, and I do but I always end up getting a Hot Fish Sandwich at Lea Jane’s as well. This sandwich is fire!!! I feel kind of atypical for repeatedly ordering a fish sandwich at a Hot Chicken joint but it is what it is. I usually don’t repeatedly order the same item when I return to a restaurant, just because I like variety but this sandwich is making me break protocol. I get it as spicy as possible. I love everything about this sandwich. Intense heat on a huge, fried filet of flavorful fish, with pickles and sauce in between two buttery buns. Throw in those crispy, rough cut fries and we got us a delicious meal. Service is always quick and not complicated. The ambiance is typical of POST . Just find a table, pull up a seat and enjoy this huge, hot fish sandwich!

Outstanding! Lea Jane's Hot Chicken was the food truck of choice at the Kirby Ice House on 17th August 2021. I ordered the 'Plain Jane' chicken sandwich with fries - but please note, there is nothing plain about the taste of this sandwich. You will get a potato bun stuffed with three very generous chicken tenders, pickles and a Dukes mayo. I chose the least spicy option, and it adds a great, flavorful heat to the very crispy, but amazingly moist chicken tenders. With perfectly seasoned, crisp fries, this is in my top five food trucks - and one of the best hot chicken sandwiches I've eaten. For $12+tax Lea Jane's is excellent value, and highly recommended.

Google
Great sandwich. I like the fact they use chicken thighs and the kale slaw had an interesting flavour. It was a good sandwich overall. Spice levels weren’t that hot. Fries were really good. I think they’re Costco fries.

Google
Love the post hall! The Nashville hot chicken was cooked well, but I went spicy off the attendant's recommendation (he said clucking was 14/10 spice) and the (spicy) was extremely mild. I will have to come back to try the clucking hot in hopes that it will actually be spicy. Overall a good sandwich!

Google
It's was my first time at The Post. It kind of reminded of the mall in Dawn of the Dead but in a good way. I was starving and there are so many options. I wanted to try something different and went to Leah Jane's Hot Chicken. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever eaten. It comes in two pieces of Texas toast and some delicious, crispy, and fluffy french fries with a hint of herbs. The slaw in the sandwich was the wow factor. It brought the whole sandwich together . I can't wait to try some other items.

Google
Nut-friendly - no peanut oil, no nuts in anything they serve I believe. Having some options on ordering at Lea Jane's is nice. They have a way to order online, but I just walked up to the counter. The line moved very quickly with about 10 people ahead of me. I ordered the Loaded Fries and got a confirmation text nearly immediately. Another text came about 10 minutes later to notify me that my order was ready to be picked up. A nice system that lets you spend some time ordering elsewhere or fighting to get a table at the overly crowded POST food court on a Saturday afternoon. The Loaded Fries were surprisingly good value for the overall higher priced restaurants at POST. It was shared among three people in my group and everyone felt that it was a nice snack for the afternoon. The chicken was crispy and with a good amount of heat at the "Spicy" level, and the fries had plenty of a cheesy, alfredo-sauce-like gravy and nice garnishes (green onion). Surprisingly, no other condiments seemed available like ketchup, but I didn't feel that they were necessary as the fries themselves had plenty of flavor.

Google
It was my first time trying this place, I was so excited to try it. I got some takeout for my husband and I around 1pm, it is now 5:30 and we both feel terrible!! I’ve thrown up and cannot leave the restroom 😞, he has been having stomach issues too. We’ve had a normal breakfast today and neither of us have eaten anything else other than the chicken sandwich. It’s disappointing, aside from some issues with the thighs still having hard tendons or rubbery skin, the food was not bad and the kale coleslaw was so unique! But after this experience I cannot recommend this place to anyone 🫩

Google
This is some of the best chicken I've had. It was cooked to perfection. You can choose your heat levels from mild to clucking hot! They have sandwiches, tenders and wings. They serve everything with pickles, bread and their housemate ranch. The French fries were soooooo good as well. Things to note: It's located inside of Post Market across from the CBD stand.

Yelp
After walking around the whole vicinity of Post Market I decided on Lea Jane's and ordered the loaded fries with hot chicken pieces. They were ok, not great and not horrible. I was expecting the chicken to be more flavorful but they tasted like normal chicken tenders! I really like the pickled red onions on top and cheese sauce was good. I think if I were to order this again I would have to get "spicy" instead of "mild" chicken. Customer service was great, the lady was friendly.

Yelp
Lea Jane's has been a longstanding vendor at Post. If you haven't been to the best food hall in Houston, run don't walk. It's an awesome place. Over the years, I've tried this hot chicken joint three or so times. My most recent visit happened on a Wednesday evening before a performance at Alley Theatre. Ambiance (5/5): Since Lea James is a food stand at Post, the ambiance extends to the food hall itself. It's an awesome place to dine, drink, and hang out. But that's Post's aesthetic and not really Lea Jane's. Service (4/5): Similar to the ambiance, the service isn't a big part of the experience. You order at the counter, pay, and they text you when your food is ready. Quick and painless. Drinks (N/A): I didn't order any drinks from Lea Jane's on this visit. Food (3/5): Hot chicken was all the rage a year or two ago. And it's still going strong. I sadly can only handle a little kick. I wish I could do more but hey, genetics. I went with the loaded fries which comes with a generous portion of shoestring fries, queso, bacon, and fried chicken bites. You choose your spice level for the chicken. I went with mild. For mild at a hot chicken joint, I expect just a little kick. Which I can handle. Unfortunately, the chicken here had no spice at all. It was just fried chicken. So that was a bit disappointing. Give me a little bit and I would have been satisfied. The chicken was also a bit lukewarm. It felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a bit rather than fresh out the fryer. With a little more attention to the details, my experience would have been a very good one. I'm a sucker for loaded fries. With that being said, I still enjoyed it. And I love POST. Try a variety of vendors when you visit, and after you're done eating your heart out, walk up the picturesque spiral stairs to the sky lawn. Once you're there, you'll see scenic views of downtown Houston.

Yelp
Hate that I have to leave them a bad review. But I order 2 Nashville hot tender and fries. The chicken came out cold and tough. End up finish 1 tender and toss rest away. 2/5 stars If you want really good hot chicken try Dave's Hot Chicken.
google avatar

Yelp
I am not usually one to lean towards chicken but I gave this place a try and needless to say I already went back and ordered the exact same thing! The chicken waffle cone is SO GOOD! It has hot fried chicken bites, green onion, pickled shallots and mac & cheese inside a waffle cone. Service is good and food doesn't take too long to come out. Since they are located inside of POST, it is a fun & busy atmosphere. I will be back!
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
Pretty average chicken sandwich. Was not hot at all. They only gave me two options, hot or mild even though the menu showed a hotter option. Typically, hot chicken is a darker color and has more sauce with a deeper flavor. This didn't hit for me. The Mac n cheese is a hard pass. Didn't taste good at all. They don't offer any type of hot sauce so I didn't order the greens. Greens with no hot sauce is like cereal with no milk, I'm good. The fries aren't my style. It's a beer battered fry, I'm a crinkle cut guy. If you like minimal spice and beer battered fries then you might love it. I wouldn't go back though.

Yelp
Having been inspired by the upstairs Elite Yelp event, my friends and I ventured downstairs to eat at actual restaurants in the venue. I was not disappointed by the fresh samples they provided upstairs. The chicken here was delicious. Great crunch and not overly salted. Sauces complimented their chicken perfectly. Fish was ok, it wasn't bad but it didn't have the wow factor compared to chicken. I'd eat it again ez, just not together. Get this, its also quite affordable in contrast to a lot of other shops in the vicinity. You wom't regret

Yelp
The loaded fries are a must try if you come here! Perfectly seasoned crunchy fries smothered in queso, fried chicken bites, caramelized onions and green onions. What more could you want? We got the spicy version, which could've been spicier in my opinion but still delicious. Make sure you get a little of everything in that first bite and WOW there was nothing better than that. Highly recommend these loaded fries! A good appetizer before trying all the other food at POST.

Yelp
4.0 - French Fries 4.0 - Loaded Fries 3.8 - Nashville hot chicken - maybe a little too spicy for me.
google avatar

Gregory L.

Yelp
"Spicy" is not spicy, more like incredibly salty. The chicken is fine, tender. But it's not spicy whatsoever. They need to give more spice options and actually make it spicy.
google avatar

Brandon D.

Yelp
I'm writing this review because i am not a fan of their ice policy. After spending $18 on a plate and buying a drink from them I asked for a cup of Ice for the bottled drink that wasn't chilled to my liking and they informed me that it would be $3.25 for a cup of ice for the drink that I purchased from them. I understand if I was a stranger or someone who wasn't a customer but as a paying customer I find this to be extreme. Staff is friendly and food is ok but something about that policy didn't sit right with me.

Yelp
Got the spicy chicken waffle cone, it was amazing! The macaroni and cheese was very cheesy and paired well with the chicken bites that were tender and spicy. The waffle cone was crispy and there was a slight sweetness in it that balanced out the savory flavors of the chicken and mac and cheese. Price was very reasonable for a food hall too!
google avatar

Diana J.

Yelp
Huge wings with a kick! It's crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The fish sandwich is ok. But compared to other places: One of the better spots in post.
google avatar

Ethan L.

Yelp
I got the Nashville hot chicken and it was so tasty. The chicken and french fries were super crispy as well as the cole slaw really bringing in all the flavors together. The service was quick and they will give you a text if you provide your phone number so you can continue to walk around and explore POST while the food is being made. There is a lot of seating in POST so it was not difficult finding a spot to sit.

Yelp
Love, love, love this food stand at the Post. There's always a long line, but it's worth the wait. The food comes out fairly quickly and hot. I went with a friend visiting from Portland who wanted to order all the sides. We had ordered a few different things from the other food places in the food court area. Out of the sides, the collard greens were my fave. It wasn't vinegary. The broth it was marinated in was sooo good with the braised meat. It is on the soupier side. The greens weren't bitter. This is the best collard greens I've had. I could've eaten a bowl of this as a soup. The only thing missing is maybe adding some heat as an option. The Nashville hot chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I like how they use a thigh for dark meat. It's so juicy and flavorful. It's also topped with the kale kimchi slaw to add some acidity. The buttered Texas toast is a nice touch but can be difficult to eat since everything falls out. The fries are crispy and seasoned well. Aside from ChopnBlok (my other Post fave), Lea Jane's is definitely a staple when you come here!

Yelp
When I visit Post, I typically eat at this place! It's so good! I had the loaded fries this time, usually have the waffle cone fries.
google avatar

Quiana T.

Yelp
I was looking for the chicken to be a bit more seasoned at the base... there was a bit of spice but not the kind that lingers. The food itself was delivered fast and fresh.

Marco M.

Yelp
I wouldn't call this hot chicken, the only thing reminiscent of hot chicken is the oil on the bread. While the chicken was juicy, even though all my breading was falling off (asked for no pickles, they just took them off and refried) the flavor was no where near hot chicken, nor was is remotely spicy (I ordered spicy). Mac n cheese was OK. Everything lacked salt
google avatar

Yelp
Tried this place out today. The chicken was pretty good . It had a good crunch and a nice flavor . I ordered a hot flavored chicken and hot chicken tenders basket with fries and a side of macaroni. The portion size was good . The soda was extra expensive ..about 5 bucks for a little bottle . The Mac and cheese was average. It didn't have a lot of layer of seasoning or different cheeses. The chicken was moist but needed a hot sauce and or better dipping sauce . It wasn't spicy . It came with ranch and didn't offer blue cheese. It came with a house made Korean like sauce that was okay. Overall , I gave it a 3 stars because there are other places available that offer hot chicken and wings , I probably wouldn't run to order again . The picture came out great though.

Yelp
Loaded fries were good, super filling. The mac & cheese was excellent and flavorful. The only thing that was sad was my chicken strips- i picked a bad flavor. I got the mildest flavor & it basically tasted like chicken strips you could get at Walmart or Kroger. No spice at all but also no "oomph" or special flavor. So it would be a good option for children. But for adults I'd recommend the medium level - it was very subtle spiciness, to where even I could handle it (I'd rate it a spice level 1.5 out of 10).

Yelp
Stopped by POST Houston before going to a concert at 713 Music Hall next door to get some grub. I've been wanting to try Lea Jane's for the longest time and I finally had my chance! Ordered a chicken sandwich and was given two options by the cashier: regular or spicy (the menu shows three levels of heat), and I opted for mild because I had read in one of the reviews that the mild was spicy and I didn't want to deal with all that at the concert. The cashier took my phone number so they could text me when my order was ready to be picked up. I went to get some drink and found a place to sit and a couple of minutes later, I got a text letting me know that my order was ready. Food: good portion of both the sandwich and the fries (came as a combo with the sandwich). I did find, however, that the regular (or mild) was NOT spicy at all. Like, it didn't even have a kick to it. I don't know what the other reviewer was thinking when he said that. It was still good, but I would have liked to have some hotness to my sandwich. Oh well, the more reason for me to go back the next time I'm here.
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
I'll sample other things at the Post but it's a waste of a trip if we don't pick up some Lea Janes chicken wings. Best wings I've ever had. Bar none. Extra crispy, super juicy, and hold up well even if you wait a bit to eat them. Don't skip this, worth the wait!
google avatar

Germanie J.

Yelp
Best loaded fries I've ever had!!!! It kinda tasted like truffle oil was used but I didn't see that on the list of ingredients. Whatever sauce they used was so flavorful!! Chicken was good quality, all ingredients were fresh! Order came out in a timely manner. Will return!!
google avatar

Yelp
This Lea Jane Hot chicken is located inside of a marketplace, with you need to provide your number so they can text you when your order is ready. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, which comes with pickled slaw, charred onion ranch on white bread with a side of fries. My first recommendation is to roll the sandwich on napkins to it can get less messy while eating it. The sandwich had a good taste the chicken was juicy and well fried but did not have a spicy taste but over all has super delicious and eating was easier because I roll it on the napkins. After eating my recommendation is going to the rooftop of the market which you can see a nice view of Downtown Houston.
google avatar

Yelp
Located in the heart of POST HTX you'll find Lea Janes Hot chicken! With over 15 options to eat from inside the food court this place had the longest line and there is a reason why! The fried chicken tinders were amazing! The line moves fast and you'll be notified via text when your order is ready. Below you will see the loaded fries which comes with queso, green onion, and pieces of fried chicken! Which I will def rate 10/10 and for $10 I def recommend the loaded fries. Great to share for 2-3 persons or 1 super hungry person!
google avatar

Albert T.

Yelp
If you ever take a stroll into POST food court, you can easily get overwhelmed but if you don't know what to get, why not fried chicken? I've been to many hot chicken places, some are forgettable but Lea Jane's is a winner! I've had the wings before and I loved it, but this time I got the hot chicken tender sandwich with fries. It was excellent. Huge portion of chicken, great tasting sauce with a kick, perfect brioche bun, and the fries- excellent portion and seasoned well. I definitely was full after finishing which is A+ in my books.
google avatar

Lynn L.

Yelp
I came back to try the wings and got a side of macaroni and cheese. Amazing. I had gotten the clucking hot since I've had the hot and spicy and it wasn't super hot and I was feeling adventurous. Clucking hot is hot, not too the point where you'll stop eating the wings but you're nose is gonna run. The wings had a light and crispy batter and it comes hot and fresh on a slice of Texas Toast. It's awesome and when I return hot and spicy will be good enough for me. The mac n cheese was probably the best I've had. I know these are strong words but it's true. The noodles were tender and the cheese sauce had hints of truffle but it wasn't overpowering and it was topped with crushed bits of ritz crackers. The ritz crackers added a buttery crunch which you need for the soft creamy noodles. Everything I've had has been amazing and I can't wait to return.
google avatar

Jimmie B.

Yelp
Had the loaded fries. Extra hot. They were amazing. And super hot. If you can't handle the heat. Don't get em.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
It's just not like Dave's hot chicken. Service is great food came out quick even with a decent size line. Food was just very greasy.
google avatar

Angela R.

Yelp
Atmosphere 10/10 Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Highly recommend! Great family outing, and the kiddos will love the food!
google avatar

Jayla A.

Yelp
The service was okay and quick. My "hot fish" sandwich was underwhelming and very greasy. It seemed like they didn't drain any excess oil off. The house sauce was good, I recommend adding it for $1. I can't recommend anything else and I probably won't return.
google avatar

Yelp
I visited Lea Jane's during a Yelp event six months ago and haven't stopped craving their chicken since. The line wasn't long on a Saturday night although The Post was packed, and the food was ready quickly. My boyfriend and I shared the two piece hot chicken tender basket, and it was more than enough food for both of us, and I don't think our stomachs could have handled anymore spicy anyway. The fries were crispy, and the chicken was juicy. Super yummy. I will definitely be back again.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I came back yesterday - a Saturday at 3:50 PM - to try out more of their menu since that phenomenal Yelp Elite Badge Day event. There was a 10 min wait to order at Lea Jane's - not bad. The 45 min wait to then get the food though came as a nasty surprise, and I wish the cashier had given us a heads up. I'd be fine with the wait if I could have planned for it - conquered the rest of the food court and explored the skylawn more leisurely. If I were to come back, I would probably come on a weekday at an off-hour. We got the Nashville Hot Chicken. The bread is a bit thick and the sandwich is too tall to eat, so we ended up eating with knife and fork. The fries are amazing - crisp, flavorful, and piping hot. The chicken is very well fried, and not that spicy really. I believe it's mostly the chili oil that gives a slight kick - which is the way I like it (not spicy lol). You provide name and phone number when you check out. It does text right as your order is ready.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
Ordered the mild chicken tenders and they're huge!! Juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Not much flavor but it was still very enjoyable. The service was great, friendly, and fast. We asked for a special order and they were able to accommodate without any issues. This place is located inside of Post and there are no seating areas at the restaurant, but there is plenty of seating outside and nearby. It can be a loud and crowded ambiance if the place is packed, but overall a great spot to stop at if you want some good hot chicken.
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
The hottest hot I have had in a long time. Nearly destroyed the taste buds of one of my buddies who tried one of the wings. Good service and good food in a fancy food court. I have and will return.
google avatar

Diana L.

Yelp
Located inside Post Houston. Plenty of parking. Delicious! Best chicken place around. Order a chicken sandwich and fries (Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich). So, so good! Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Requel P.

Yelp
Yall I wanted to like this so bad but I couldn't. 2 stars for great customer service but I'm gonna have to try something different to see what yall experienced. I got the Chicken Waffle Cone, minus the cone, from Post HTX & the mac was not giving. I love a good mac & cheese & will try it everywhere I see it. But maybe next time I'll just focus on the chicken.
google avatar

Kathleen N.

Yelp
unfortunately the catfish was very fishy and the bun was too greasy. i got spicy and it wasn't spicy either. overall, wouldn't recommend the catfish sandwich. fast service--they text you when your food is ready.

Yelp
I had the hot fish sandwich, and it was outstanding. My husband had the plain jane and he liked it, until I asked him if it was better than Popeye's, and he couldn't say that it was, but still, they both make good chicken sandwiches, and you can't get the hot fish sandwich at Popeye's. We also had the macaroni and cheese, which was delicious, and definitely worth adding to your order. The fries were good. We got both of the sauces, the comeback sauce was what you would expect, they have a fancy name for their ranch, but honestly, it just tastes like ranch, I was expecting some kind of twist. Although they have three different spice levels, at the counter we were given the options of hot or mild. The hot we got, was not particularly hot, but it was still tasty. If it were easier to get to, I'd want that hot fish sandwich on a regular basis.

Yelp
Rating this solely on the chicken My friends and I were visiting in Houston and we had heard about the post market food hall and thought we'd check it out. I saw Lea Janes hot chicken while walking through and saw a huge line and was thinking this has to be good. I got in line and waited for about half an hour in line till I got my food so not terrible of a wait. Let me tell you though it was worth the wait. I'm from Seattle so we don't necessarily have great southern food in the area but some of the best chicken I've ever had! So tender, moist; and so much flavor! I got the mild and it was spicy but was afraid of getting too much heat. Was definitely worth the visit and wish I could go again!
google avatar

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Came here to POST for my birthday and wanted to try all the different fries that they had. Let me tell you- there are TONS of options. We ended up picking the "Loaded fries" from here! Ordered the food and didn't wait too long. I got to say, these were the best fries we tasted in the whole food hall! They were super different compared to the others. I especially liked the gravy and crispy chicken on top! It really refreshing to taste these because all the rest of the fries from other places tasted pretty similar. Definitely have to come back here and try something else, because if the fries are that good, I would love to see how the other items compare!
google avatar

Alan M.

Yelp
This place is inside the food hall in Post HTX. I saw someone walk by with the chicken waffle cone and wanted to try it since it was something I had never seen before. It's basically Mac and cheese with chopped up chicken tenders in a waffle cone. It was both delicious and visually pleasing. The drizzle of sauce it had made it even better. I'd definitely come back to check out the other places to eat.
google avatar

Samantha V.

Yelp
My search for spicy hot chicken continues and this place was not it. I had such high hopes after reading the reviews. My biggest complaint with all these new hot chicken places popping up are the levels of spice and the consistency of the level every time. They had three levels of spice and I almost went for the hottest but the cashier told me I included Carolina reaper so I decided to go in the medium for their "spicy" level for the tender meal. This was NOT spicy at all. I REPEAT NOT spicy at all. Once again, another HOT chicken place in Houston can not figure out their levels of spice. It is not the first time it's happened. Other restaurants have promised me spicy and have not delivered and now Lea Jane's has joined them. Now the chicken had a good crunch and breading so if they had gotten it right then this review would've been different. Fries were OK. They had a seasoning that made it overly salty.

Yelp
How can you walk past this place and resist the utter temptation to try Lea Jane's Hot chicken? Spoiler alert...You can't! The first time I sampled their chicken when they opened, I knew that it was game on! These amazing folks are located in The Post and it's worth your time to stop in and get yourself some REAL fried chicken the way we do it here in Houston! I had the jumbo hot tenders and even splurged to get some extra sauce! Does it need sauce? No way, but it gives it that little extra kick that makes that flavor sink in! The comeback sauce is on point and good to give it some extra heat! The garlic sauce adds a nice smooth balance if you just want to smooth that hot flavor out a bit on the tail end of each bite! Overall, I feel you should take some time to come sit down and exercise your taste buds right here at Lea Jane's! I know I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken ($13). The bread was a little bit too much. It was 2 really thick slices of white bread that were too toasted. Ended up eating the sandwich deconstructed. The chicken was SO good. Skin was extra crispy, but when you bite into the chicken it's still juicy. Ordered medium spicy level and it had a subtle heat that wasn't too over powering. The kimchi slaw was just ok. Got to try their wings at an Elite Event and gotta say... ORDER THE WINGS! Absolutely delicious and flavorful. The crispy chicken skin is to die for.

Yelp
Overall the chicken was not bad, but if you are going to call it "hot chicken," no matter what level of seasoning you get (there was only 3), there should be some sort of spice to it. Shame on us for making the assumption that there would be some level of "kick" with each option. Shame on them for having "hot chicken" that has no seasoning. If you are selling "hot chicken," the baseline should be some level of "hot." The Chicken Sandwich: Overall a decent sandwich. The toppings (kimchi) were flavorful (will get back to this) but came no where close to true hot chicken or any "spin" on hot chicken. The flavor of the chicken breading had a very distinct taste... I thought I was eating chicken dredged through pizza flavored Pringles. Also, the chicken itself could have been of better quality or at least trimmed better. There were pieces of fat that I had to spit out. I will say that I appreciated that they added fries to this meal. Most places nowadays charge $13 for just a sandwich. Plus the fries were pretty good! Hot Wings: Overall good but lacked seasoning. They tasted like homemade basic wings. I needed ketchup and when I usually think of wings (dry rub or sauce), I don't need anything else. We would try them again and get some added level of heat.

Yelp
Had the Nashville Hot Chicken -- Prob the greasiest, saltiest chicken sandwich in all of houston hot chicken places. The kim chi cole slaw was different. Not the biggest fan. Not to mention 1 hour wait (30 minutes in line, 30 minutes after ordering).

Yelp
The hot fish sandwich sounded interesting, so I decided to try it. The catfish was super moist and tender. It was almost silky in texture. I chose it spicy so the fried fish was dipped in a liquid spicy sauce I guess. It doesn't look that messy to eat, but the spicy sauce is a liquid so it dripped all over the bottom of the bun and takeout box. I usually like fries that have a rough texture like the ones they have here but thought they tasted okay. I was surprised I couldn't substitute the fries that come with the sandwich with something else as the cost of the sides are all the same. I came by at 12 on a Thursday, and it had steady business.
