The 17 Best Restaurants in George Town, Malaysia | Eater

"Appom, sometimes known in English as “hopper,” is a crispy, bowl-like crepe of Sri Lankan origin. With a lightly tart flavor, teeming with crumpet-like holes, sporting a just-cooked egg, if you like, and served with a curry-like dip, it’s also one of the best breakfasts in George Town. This stall has no formal name nor sign; look for the blue canopy across from Express-Mart. [$]" - Austin Bush

No, it's better and healthier than roti canai, its Chapati. Google it if u want to no why. I had three chapatis served fresh off the hot plate and enjoyed it with a truly outstanding small plate of lamb curry and same of dhal. All inc a very good teh tarik kurang manis rm10! A totally satisfying dinner that well deserves a 4 star. I'm of course ranking it from the pov of a value for money traveller.

The softest chapati you can get in penang I guess.. And it taste good.. Plus you can add in their dhall, chicken or mutton curry/gravy😋 definitely a must try

This stall has been in existence since I can remember from my childhood days in the 60s. Of course management has changed hands many times. But the roti canai with its gravy, and other breakfast items have not changed either in taste or in quality. Now they are open for lunch also and the food looks good too.

Excellent. If you’re looking for a light dinner look no further, this place is popular with the locals, try it and find out why😋

extremely cheap (RM 1 for Roti Canai) and sooo delicious, I went there like fifteen times already. Compared to other Rotis I had before this one is bigger and fluffy and simply amazing. Also Teh Tarik very cheap and good, since it's a small local restaurant they make the roti and pur the drinks (Indian style) directly in front of you. also staff is very friendly and most of them speak very good English. be aware that roti is only available till 11pm but after that they have other dishes.
