"Lee Valley Tools, King West. Gardeners, handymen, and hobbyists will get lost in the huge selection of top quality tools and gadgets. Lee Valley specializes in retro and reproduction hardware as well if you dig that oldey-timey vibe."

Awesome selection of woodworking/gardening tools and accessories. For me, browsing this place was as good as attending a movie. Looks like they have woodworking seminars too which I will definitely be checking out.

A very spacious place that has plenty of choices for DIY craft or tools for your hobbies. How you order items here is unusual for many people (but it's a simple process), so ask an employee if you've never been here before or never even stepped foot onto a tool store. The employees are very generous for even first timers so don't fret about asking and just follow their easy instructions on purchasing.

Almost everything Lee Valley tools sells is top-notch. They really stand behind their products and only carry really good stuff. If you ever have a problem with something they're great at fixing it for you. This is a store worth checking out for a wide assortment of things, even down to basics. On that note, check out the Japanese Scissors. You won't be disappointed.

The tools may be pricey but they will last you a lifetime. You can find nearly every tool imaginable for both gardeners and woodworkers. The staff are very knowledgeable it's a treat to shop here. The display cases are fantastic and being able to really feel a tool in your hand before purchasing is an option that is not possible in most stores. Especially for the more expensive tools.

A unique tool company which has many unusual & useful items for all types of activities. Prices are reasonably fair for quality. Good to browse for awhile. I purchased doorstop, battery tester, knife, loupe, Swedish brush clearer, Danish flashlights . . . staff helpful in testing and comparing items. Parking is hard but not yet impossible if you come at low demand times.

LV sent a package to my friend in error (she wasn't charged). I helped her to return it to be honest citizens at our own cost. Trip into the city, traffic, gas, wasted afternoon. We were told to bring it out back and call at arrival. We did this on arrival. As I was putting the box on the platform as instructed. A horrible, sour woman yelled at me incomprehensibly with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. I knew better than to engage and another staff member arrived a minute later to help us. He was very nice, I told him about the horrible woman but I imagine he won't pass on the experience to the manager as he is stuck working with her. Everyone we dealt with was friendly. Except that miserable, mean spirited woman. She should not be in customer service as she is a face of the company. Particularly in these trouble times, companies should welcome their customers. Won't be returning. 😕

Very fun to browse; a great place to kill a lunch hour. Very helpful staff. This is one of those places where you discover how much you desperately need some cool thing that you didn't know existed moments before. :) Many, many gift ideas. Most items are of high quality and well-rated. Favourite purchases so far: fridge super magnets, and Fisher bullet space pen. Only reason not giving 5 stars is that prices are on the average to high side. You can get these products cheaper elsewhere, but the experience of an in-store visit makes up for the difference.

Very helpful staff, willing to ask other employees on things they didn't have direct experience with. I asked about one item I wasn't 100% sure if should buy and got honest feedback that they had several returns because the item wasn't up to snuff so didnt end up purchasing. Was even given advice about other stores to try about another item they didn't carry. Only downside for me is parking is a pain around, but if on TTC it would be no problem to get to by streetcar.
