Google
I’m so happy this place is back open after their wall repairs I missed it! The service is always amazing, and the food is consistently delicious. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. It’s one of my go-to spots and absolutely a must-try if you haven’t been yet!

Google
The Chinese food you had growing up, is still here. This is a rare treat for Chinese food enthusiasts of what some may call 'standard fare' is now the uncommon bordering on rare variation of family owned Chinese food done the right way. Delicious. Food aside, service was atrocious, and the atmosphere hasn't changed since the early 90s, so, pretty much a "classic" experience. But the food is worth it.

Google
Ordered via Uber Eats, we got the honey walnut shrimp and Sichuan fish, both were good The lunch menu seems like a great value, today we got the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice plus an order of 6pc wings. The former was tasty but wings were salty for me.

Nadia T.

Google
The guy at the counter was nice and helpful with our order. Our food was hot and looked really yummy. The food was was ok we were really hungry so we ate it I just can't say say that it had a taste that I can say I really enjoyed. I will not be going back

Lillian

Google
Customer service ok. I won’t be returning for the food. I ordered General tao tofu but what I received was some sort of a sweet sauce— definitely not General tao sauce. The texture of the bean curd was totally mushy and the taste was overall bland. This meal was about $19 and it is practically in edible very poorly made. just seemed to be drenched in sauce, but you couldn’t really taste the sauce throughout.

Google
First time in this place but I have to say the food was awesome had a orange chicken and fried rice they were both on point they also give you a big portion of food

Wing A.

Google
The food is fresh made and always delicious. Best Chinese food in town. Diffenatly try their coconut fried shrimp.

Google

Yelp
Family owned authentic Chinese food done right! Lee's hits the mark when you want some good quality and well portioned Chinese food. Today I enjoyed their Kung Pao Chicken, shrimp chow mein with added broccoli and carrots, and their Wonton Soup (not pictured). All 3 dishes were served hot, with excellent flavor. Francis is an absolute delight as well. Good attentiveness and she even took the time to say chat to my little brother about his toy truck, and recommended some dishes for us to try next time! The interior was recently remodeled, and the hardwood flooring is a nice touch that added brightness to the dining area. Ventura county, I know Panda Express is convenient, but switch it up a bit and visit Lee's Chinese Food if you want proper Szechuan cooking.

Yelp
Hidden gem and a family favorite. When you're craving Chinese food, Lee's is the spot! While it's nothing extravagant, don't let the appearance fool you. It's the comfort of knowing that there's good food waiting for you. The familiarity, taking that first bite that's awaiting you. Kind of like going to grandmas house and you can expect to have food cooked with love. Can't go wrong with 3 flavor sizzling rice soup. They're consistent, your bowl is filled with protein and veggies and they are not stingy too. While my hubby's a fan of wor wonton, I've won him over with this which I will always order. Our meal consisted of: tropical fried rice- you can taste the wok which is what fried rice is about. My picky husband always request this. If you're not a fan of pineapples, they have other great varieties too. orange chicken- tangy but a balance with some salty and sweet shrimp chow mein- noodles and shrimp, need I say more?! They have delicious egg foo yung, moo shu, beef with broccoli. They offer party platters for your party needs, too!

Yelp
Service is good. Price reasonable. Wonton soup broth was very tasty but wonton on the dry side and tough. Sesame chicken was good, juicy in the middle and not to sweet. Beef in sizzling plate was impressive when it was served but the food was bland. The vegetables eaten separately was good with its natural taste. Beef and sauce was bland. The fried shrimp appetizer was dry and tough - felt like it was reheated multiple tines.

Yelp
Food is delicious! Fresh and had great flavor. Staff is friendly here, quick and friendly service. My family and I love coming here. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere inside the restaurant.

Donna H.

Yelp
We loved it. My 5 year old daughter won't eat nothing but pizza, Coco puffs, and fried tilapia but she ate most of what we put on her plate. Definitely going back again.

Jacob A.

Yelp
The food was amazing. I had the sweet and sour pork with fried rice and it was full of flavor. Very polite and respectful service, it was a great experience.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years. The owners are very nice. My favorite dish here is the Chicken Chow Mein. I love the King Pao Chicken and the Cashew Nut Chicken. My favorite side here is the Egg Rolls and if it's cold out you can't go wrong with the War Won Ton Soup. They did a nice job cleaning up on the inside of the restaurant but I almost always order to go. This is my go to spot in Ventura for Chinese food and I always recommend it to family and friends.

Gerri H.

Yelp
Delicious , fresh food!! FYI ! They're open now!! Great service and delicious food!
google avatar

Jean S.

Yelp
Great food The sweet and pungent shrimp and the BBQ pork chow Mein are delicious This restaurant is family run and has been at this location for years I definitely recommend

Jim M.

Yelp
Excellent Chinese food! My first time, ordered Moo Goo Chicken which was delicious! I walked in, ordered takeout and my food was ready in about ten minutes. I'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
In Southern California no town is without its ample share of Chinese food options. In Ventura, Lee's Chinese Food stands out for quality, flavorful and sizable sharing portions. Driving along Thompson Blvd, blink and you'll miss it, so don't blink. The dining in experience appears fairly ordinary even with some post pandemic upgrades. But as the saying goes, never judge a restaurant by its interior (unless of course you have to). With to go orders theres never been an issue. My orders are prepared quickly, correctly and at the proper temp. Lee's gets two chopsticks up from me.

Frank S.

Yelp
please reopen we miss you food 10/10 best Chinese restaurant around ventura. Our family been coming here for years. The car accident closed it last year.

Yelp
Good Chinese food is so hard to find these days. I drove from Camarillo because my mom suggested this place. It's soooo flavorful! I'm so happy I can end my hunt because for the last few months I've been to quite a few places and they were all horrible. This is the winner! Yum yum yum!

Isabella B.

Yelp
First time ordering from Lee's and the food is amazing! Delivery was on time and easy. Will be back
google avatar

Rafael Antonio M.

Yelp
Good food good service not too expensively crazy good experience over all. Wish they see a bit busier
google avatar

Gemma G.

Yelp
love this place so much! the service is great and the food is amazing and fresh :) everytime we go, it's always a good experience

Gale A.

Yelp
Food was fairly good. If you want to eat it, get takeout or have it delivered. The restaurant was not clean. booth seats were sticky. Window had handprints. The did not give us chopsticks or knives. The service was not good at all. We felt like we were intruding in the unkept home. The owners were taking up 3 tables. There were no other customers in the restaurant on a Friday night. The waiter was eating his dinner and then getting up to wait on us but never smiled or took away dirty dishes until we asked him to. We won't go back. We might order take out. we will have food delivered.

Brian S.

Yelp
Excellent hot and sour soup. Their Imperial Shrimp is best in Ventura out of the other Chinese restaurants.
google avatar

V L.

Yelp
The food has always been delicious. And we've been getting take-out here for years. But they just redid the decor with new tables, fresh paint, and nice new menus. All quite lovely. My husband ordered the Mongolian beef this time and said it was "off the hook!" We usually both get the kung pao which is consistently very good. We used to live in the San Gabriel valley and Lee's is the only place we've found here with really good Chinese food.
google avatar

Yelp
Lee's Chinese has been here for as long as I've lived on this side of town and it's always been good Szechuan/Chinese food. My dad loved this place when he was alive and would order at least once a week for some Kung Pao Chicken or Moo Shu Chicken which was always tasty when he brought some home. Tonight I got Kung Pao Chicken and the Happy Family (5/6 different proteins with vegetables in a sauce) which came with steamed white rice. Both came with enough portions to feed two people each from one order of food. The food was hot, smelled great on the way home and tasted even better upon eating. It's been a long time since I've came back and after tonight, it makes me want to come back more often so that speaks well for a place. The dining room is usually always empty so I always order takeout but they package everything so nicely and the food comes in tight plastic boxed containers and the rice comes in the traditional chinese takeout boxes. They always include plastic forks, napkins, fortune cookies and soy sauce for every takeout order. Thanks again for serving tasty food to my family and Ventura over the years!

Stephanie Lugo ..

Yelp
Love their egg soup and sesame chicken My whole family has been going here for years never disappoints us
google avatar

Danika A.

Yelp
We just had the most delicious meal! I had Honey Walnut Shrimp which were crisp and flavorful. My husband had the Kung Pao chicken. Not overly spicy, chicken was still moist. Mushrooms were the secret surprise and he thought that was the best part of the dish. We also got the egg drop soup, which was outstanding. And the veggie egg rolls were outstanding as well. If you live in Midtown you should order from this place constantly. They deliver in a 3 mile radius. But if you don't live within that zone; GO THERE.
google avatar

Loren S.

Yelp
I like the orange chicken and rice with a soda for lunch. I enjoy having it as a meal

Veronica V.

Yelp
Prices are great. Large portions. Great flavor. Wonton soup is my favorite but we had tried different dishes and we love them all. Great place!
google avatar

Alexander M.

Yelp
They're very kind and their food is very good! Sometimes Chinese can be pretty greasy but everything was balanced and tasted great.
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
So we asked the gentleman at the front who was taking orders, What's your specialty or whats the popular dish. He named like 20 different dishes I never heard of. Well he was wrong about saying everything is good. We should have known when the place was completely empty. So we went for the potstickers/dumplings and Chicken noodles and vegetables. I can't even explain how gross and nasty the potstickers were. I have never tasted filling this un palletable in my life. We both spit them out at the same time. The Chicken noodles and vegetables had us both on the toilet for 3 days. I would not recommend this place at all. Sad, there are no good Chinese food spots in exists anymore. But Lee's I will never go there again.

Yelp
Loved the House Special Chow Mein! Service was great & order was ready in great timing! Can't go wrong with an authentic tasting foood, along with a nice ambiance walking in. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Jacob S.

Yelp
Good food, only thing is that its not spicy even when I explicitly say extra extra extra spicy, the service is good and what you should expect over a good place to go for something decent

Yelp
I am so happy!!! (sing song voice) I found a great Chinese place, in Ventura, that delivers for a buck. Yes, you heard it, a buck. That is a deal. $20 minimum order. The flu thing and bronchitis thing was and still is going around. When that happens, I want War Won Ton soup, Kung Pao chicken, and Mu Shoo Pork. I do not feel like cooking when I am sick. I just want to rest and I want leftovers for days. Today, is my second day/week ordering from Lee's. My first order was my usual (described as above). I ordered fried rice as well. I tipped 10% $3.82 on my first order. Hubby insisted on picking it up. When hubby got home, I noticed that my fried rice was white rice. My Mu Shoo Pork only had 1 tiny Hoisin sauce. Aside from that, my food was delicious and flavorful. I was disappointed that I tipped nearly $4 for to go food that wasn't correct. I tried to call, but the line was busy. 1 week later, I am still sick. Hubby is at work. I decided to get delivery from Lee's. I ordered from the lunch menu. I ordered Kung Pao Combo-- Medium spice. It comes with your choice of rice, soup of the day, and an egg roll. Yum. I will sample my other dishes later. Everything is just as I ordered... this time. I noted that I wanted extra Hoisin sauce and ... I received it. My order of fried rice was indeed fried. My delivery appeared at my door in 45 minutes instead of the expected 1 hour. Dear Lee's Chinese Food, Thank you for providing yummy comfort food to this grateful person who doesn't feel 100% well.
google avatar

Tiffany F.

Yelp
Walked in... walked right back out. Food sitting in the open in metal containers. Not very friendly staff. We were terrified to get sick.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Our go to place now. Food is good! Always complaining about Ventura and it's lack of good Chinese. This may be the spot. Tastes like the Chinese you think of, when you're craving Chinese! Never been to the restaurant, but delivery hits the spot.
google avatar

Allie C.

Yelp
I ordered online and went to grab it after work. The service was fast, the guy was very nice at the front and went through the food with me before leaving. The food was the perfect combo of grease and flavor- really good!
google avatar

Kumari D.

Yelp
Right now it seems like it's all take out, but they'll make anything on the menu. I went during lunch time and I didn't want the specials. I ordered house fried rice and garlic eggplant. Both were delicious and a small amount of white rice came along for free. I guess it was supposed to be with eggplant. That was some nice steamed white rice ! I would definitely come back. The food is so perfectly packaged in little plastic trays with snug fit lids, I think you can see an example in the photos. House fried rice has beef, chicken and shrimp. Garlicy eggplant has onion, green onion and green peppers in addition to the eggplant. You can add meat to this dish for an additional charge and I was sorry I forgot to ask them to add tofu, as tofu garlic eggplant is one of the best things to eat I ever had - but anyway, in short a real nice place. Worth a try!
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with this restaurant on Christmas Eve. We ordered online and when we got there only needed to wait a few minutes for our order. The food was hot and fresh and the portions were generous. We have looked for several years to find a decent Chinese restaurant, and even though this is at least a 20 min drive, we will definitely order from here again.
google avatar

Jacque F.

Yelp
Been coming here for years Peter and Francis are the best Large portions very friendly on your $$$ budget for a great meal love the Kung pao extra spicy!!!

Isabel H.

Yelp
Food was delivered in a timely manner but the quality of the meal was not as flavorful as I remembered. I ordered the chicken with green beans - oily and the green beans were wilted not crispy.
google avatar

Triana G.

Yelp
Dropped through to men this past weekend and had a big craving for Chinese food -- seeing that Lee's delivered to my hotel, I decided to give it a shot, and I was not disappointed. I ordered fried rice, Mongolian beef, and sesame chicken -- the sesame chicken was soggy by the time it got to me, but that kind of thing happens with delivery; the flavor was great, I fried it up later and it was delicious. The fried rice was also good, but the highlight was definitely the Mongolian beef. The beef was so tender, the onions were SWEET, and the sauce was a savory (but slightly sweet) brown gravy that tasted incredible. I appreciate you staying open despite these times!
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
Pretty good food. Quick delivery. Affordable way to a no-cook Friday night. The menu is somewhat limited but they are decent

Gina D.

Yelp
Always love the bbq pork spareribs here. The wonton soup was yummy with fresh tasting shrimp and veggies in a lovely broth. They are always friendly and food served quickly for our pickup orders. Thank you!!
google avatar

Dawn N.

Yelp
The food was delicious and hot when picked up. I highly recommend this place. I had their beef chow mein lunch special that came with an egg roll, egg flour soup and fried rice. So good!

Yelp
For "authentic" Chinese food, this will be my go to place after last nights dinner. It's funny because I see, Panda Ex used as a comparison a lot through the different reviews listed... And coming from someone who had Chinese food quite frequently growing up in the Bay Area, comparing Panda Ex and Lee's is like comparing apples to oranges- completely different ball games. Lee's is definitely more authentic, where as panda ex is corporate and Americanized (take that in anyway you like). Some may read this and say, that that's what they want then so be it and eat at Panda... But for that flavorful Chinese food, I'll be at Lee's. Unlike Panda Ex, Lee's delivers within 3 miles, total score! (With a min purchase of $20/ roughly 4 dishes-easy to do!) ***Last nights dindin menu: (refer to food pics and 'like' if necessary) Beef Fried Rice- 3.5 stars; idk if it was me, but some of the rice pieces tasted like it was cooked? But otherwise, great Togo size box full of big slices of beef. General Tso Chicken- 4.5 stars; flavorful and crispy with a combination of sweet and tangy! Honey walnut shrimp- 4.5 stars; crispy on the outside and just the right amount of sweetness on the inside. Yes, it consists of the candied walnuts in that sweet sauce. Remember: the general tso chicken comes with white rice. (6) fried chicken wings- 2.5 stars; no flavor, which sucks because they had a great crisp and crunch to them but just didn't have enough flavor. I would ask next time if they can sauté them in garlic and pepper to make them flavorful? Okay, so there ya go folks; a true review on Lee's. Don't be afraid to step out of the comfort zone...support local businesses ;)
google avatar

Margo M.

Yelp
Worst service ever, food is too salty. People don't have manners, they talk in their native language loudly among them selves and don't respect that we are their guest. Have the time and don't go here!
google avatar

Rynn N.

Yelp
I went here for years with my folks, and we often got the egg foo young. I went back in 2010. The standards of the food and cleanliness of the restaurant seemed to have dropped. I ended up throwing up after a bite of dumplings. I haven't come back since.

Marina G.

Yelp
First, let me say, the food is the bomb. Everything we ordered was hot and delicious. However, it was the worst service that I have received in so long. When we arrived, an hour after they opened, the dining room was 90degrees, and there were no other patrons. The man asked me what he could help me with. I said that we were there for lunch. He said, "Oh. How many? One? ". Rude. He gave is menus, but did not offer drinks. So, I asked if we could order drinks, and some crunchy noodles. Fifteen minutes later, he silently straight faced brought our drinks. I asked if we could get some crunchy noodles. He sat down at the cash register area, and told me, " Hold on. " Mind you, we were still the only patrons in the place. Each time my party and I thanked him, there would be NO RESPONSE. WEIRD. We were not offered a refill of our drinks when they were empty, YET, some lady in a dirty apron, stood two feet from our table watching us talk and eat. It was a bizarre experience. He was super rude. I've eaten there twice before, and it was not like at all.
google avatar

Monique X.

Yelp
I've driven by Lee's Chinese Food restaurant nearly every day for years but just finally decided to try it. We ordered the beef and green peppers, and the chicken chow mein. Both were fresh and delicious! We'll definitely be visiting Lee's again.
google avatar

Myleen R.

Yelp
Passing by and happen to stay at a hotel near by. Thought I'd order from this place for a quick dinner. Got the vegetable fried rice, vegetable chow fun and the vegetable and tofu soup. The rice was good, very flavorful. The chow fun however was bland. The noodles all stuck together and had no flavor so I added soy sauce. The soup also did not have a lot of flavor.
google avatar

Diane G.

Yelp
We order from Lee's fairly regularly and are always pleased with the food and the service.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Never been disappointed!! I order from here for delivery frequently and it is always Good food
google avatar

Don P.

Yelp
Soggy and bland chow mein rice and egg noodle both. Dumplings were OK. Wontons literally had nothing in them. I'd say Its reminiscent of the fast food heat lamp in a mall but don't want to insult them cause there's is more flavorful. Pick any other Chinese food restaurant it'll be better. Came back to pick up the order because even with restrictions lifted they have no inside seating. Nobody even came up they just said ready from the booths and sat back down. $40 joke
