Embattled Heights Pizzeria Pi Pizza Will Soon Have A New Name and New Menu | Eater Houston

"I note that Lee’s Fried Chicken and Donuts — another restaurant Sambrooks bought from Cherry Pie Hospitality — has already been renamed Sam’s Fried Chicken and Donuts and given an expanded menu with more sides, additional sandwich options, and chicken dinners to go." - Amy McCarthy

We enjoyed a very nice dinner at Lee’s this evening. I had a Buckeye Box (chicken strips and potato wedges) plus a side of coleslaw, everything was fresh and hot. The restaurant was immaculate, all tables were clean, no crumbs or trash on the floor. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I am leaving this review in part because I witnessed a customer treat the staff horribly this evening. Nothing they did was to her satisfaction, she complained about the prices, complained about the food, called the manager racist when the manager was nothing but polite and helpful. The poor young girl at the counter was visibly shaken by this belligerent customer. I truly believe the woman was just trying to shake them down into giving her free food. People really need to check themselves. But as far as we were concerned, this Lee’s is on top of their game.

I drove three hrs yesterday that way to pick up a furnace and central air units. stopped there on the way back through. I order large livers and large gizzards.L paid the girl, then I heard something slam sure enough there three girls standing on the other side of the counter. The girl in the middle slammed the first box of my order on the counter top. She looked at me and kept looking at me and slammed the second box. The girl that took my order open the boxes and look in them, closed them up bagged them and wished me a good day. I got home three hrs later the gizzards were like they should have been thrown out days ago rubber chewy dry hard. The livers there was about 6 half pieces the rest crumbs. I paid $17.98 for this. well the way they were slammed I guess she wanted me to know that when I opened them that she did this. Look like they were from the trash can.

Ordered the Wednesday Special X 2. We had a couple of issues 1. We asked for Famous (said Famous on the receipt) and we got Crispy. 2. Husband said the mashed potatoes were spicier than the chicken Message for the restaurant... Make sure to triple check those orders, so your customers get what they ordered. Regarding the mashed potatoes, lay off the White Pepper there is way too much in the potatoes.

I never leave reviews but I will use this platform to say that this was the worse chicken I've ever had. I tried it because of the recent commercials, but I was amazed at how bad it was. I couldn't eat it as if it was old and stale and hard. Non edible chicken. The service was great and the lady was very polite and gave exemplary customer service as she handed over the non edibles.

Food is tastey and always fresh in this amazing place. Both Famous and especially spicy 🔥are really good. The staff is super friendly both in store and at the drive-thru window. Stepping in it's also impressive how clean and well run this place is. Can't wait for my next visit.

Could not order for pickup through the website as it showed the location as currently closed. Ordered through doordash for a pickup order as an alternative. When I arrived and gave my name I was told that I needed to show them my order in the app. I showed them my order and they told me they needed to see my name. I offered to show my photo ID. That wouldn't work. It took 3 employees to find the information needed within my doordash app. Food was fine/typical. Will never order pickup again as the employees didn't handle this very well

Chicken was cold and not done. The staff wasn’t pleasant. I will never patronize Lees Famous Recipe again 🤮

I don't eat at Lee's often (I don't eat a lot of fried foods) but had a taste for fried chicken. I was going to go to KFC but figured this would be a better idea since it's closer to home, almost guaranteeing my food would still be hot when I got there. It tasted ok but the portions of sides could have been more generous!
