Lee's Hamburgers

First and last time ever eating here! I'm not sure if the meat is actually meat 🤮 The texture was horrible. THE WORST BURGER I'VE EVER ATE! I hope I don't get sick from it to be honest. The onion rings had zero seasoning on the batter. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Burger was too soft and falling apart. Felt mushy in your mouth. Mine had no flavor except for the barbecue sauce. Fries were fresh and my farher in law enjoyed the onion rings. However, the after effects on our stomachs were not pretty. We all had a run in with the toilet ( if you know what I mean) This location needs a remodel. In addition to that, when we were sitting down, on the side counter where the tea was, there was a pair of tennis shoes (not new shoes) just sitting on the counter. This was my first and last time. Only went because my husband recommended it and wanted to try something different.

While the service and atmosphere at this location were great, the product itself was underwhelming and very high on the price spectrum as well. Prices have increased significantly over the years and that is definitely to be taken into consideration, however, $9.25+tax for a basic grilled chicken sandwich(not a combo) is a high price point and i would expect that it would at least be a decent size sandwich- mine was not. If the price points came down i would definitely frequent this business more, but better deals for the quality of the product can be found. Overall food quality was good, just underwhelming on the whole.

I’ve been going to lease hamburger for about 30 years. Always been great flavors. I have never changed. I enjoyed a nice hamburger and onion rings my favorite.

The guy working the register today was amazing! He went above and beyond for me. I wanted a burger with no onions and he made it happen, with extra cheese 🤤 I had my puppy in the car so I told him I would be on my car but come back in to get my food and he went the extra mile to bring it to me. I forgot my wallet at home so I couldn’t scramble up enough cash for a shake but I will definitely be back just for the customer service alone. I haven’t been here in years because the last 2 times they said I had to get onions but my coworker told me today that that isn’t true so I gave it another try and the food and service did not disappoint! Burger was super fresh and delicious 😍

Fantastic place. My family took me there when I was barely big enough to pick up a burger. I'm now taking my nieces. My only complaint is there is no Westbank location.

Really really great food, very pleasant staff, and surprisingly quick. May not look like much from the outside, but do yourself a favor and stop here. Best burger in New Orleans I’ve found so far! I’ll definitely be back!

Burger and onion rings were good. Dining area like a mom and pops place. Clean. Without a tip came to about $17.

Skip the onion rings. Burgers are a little smaller than the Metairie location but they definitely taste better. Service is great and the drive through is very fast.

Well I am looking for lunch, view from the window reveals Lee's Hamburger stand. Checked reviews and this is a local favorite, gotta try that. A few attempts to get a parking spot and looping the crowded block at noon was adventuresome. Finally landed and went inside, cool little spot. Placed my order, an expensive burger, fry, shake lunch, makes 5 Guys seem reasonable. Food was good, the burger had shredded cheddar, kinda had a taco feel to it. Not bad, just not what I was expecting and not my personal favorite. Fries were perfectly cooked and shake was a hand made ice cream and syrup concoction that was fabulous. Would go back just for the shake, like I would make at home, but for the 6 and a half bucks I could have made a pitcher of these and had money and ice cream left over. Nice change of pace for a fairly common lunch order but a little out of my range for a daily stop.

I was really excited to try this burger joint since it has been around for a while. However, I was disappointed. I order a burger and chicken nuggets. Starting with the nuggets, not seasoned and tasted like they were previously frozen. The burger was not seasoned at all. I will try one more time to see if maybe I ordered the wrong burger.

Dishonest about the size of the party they serve on Togo orders. I guess the figure they can get away with it when it's a to go guests. They lost a customer with their dishonesty. No way I was given an 8oz burger.

If you like hardened charcoal topped with cold cheese on an expired bun, this is your place. Lee's Hamburgers is officially the worst burger to exist. It's worth the trip if you truly want to experience the most disgusting form of one of the easiest meals to make. I could not believe how awful this burger was. If I could give zero stars, I would. Good luck to anyone who tries this horrendous spot

I was passing through and wanted a quick burger and fries. I was going to go to Bud's Broiler and I am glad I didn't. Fresh cut friends that were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside and a burger that was so far from fast food that you would expected it from a steakhouse. Thumbs up to you guys! Never become too commercial and lose all your fresh made style! Next time I'm in NOLA, I am coming right to you!!!

Burgers are consistent and employees are generally polite and helpful. The bathroom is hit or miss but the burgers are onnnnn poooooiiinnntttt!!! and cokes from there taste especially good too. Recommended. Get the one with cheese and add patty. Bustin!

This is my go to for a quick, quality burger. My favorite item is their onion rings. Reminds me of when Ruth's Chris cut them thinner and breaded in cracker meal. Worth your consideration. Note, they cook the burgers in onions but I think it adds great flavor to it. Not a fast food burger, but it's always consistent.

This is an unassuming little burger joint on the corner of N. Arnoult, passed it a million times. But I don't usually eat red meat. So when I do I just have a particular craving, satisfy it and done for several months. So a few days ago I wanted a burger. Not a $20 nasty flat burger like I had at Atomic or the used to be so much better in Atlanta Shake Shack, but a burger, juicy, not too seasoned, few normal toppings--a burger. And ahhhhhh the Yelp gods sent me to Lee's. They have a few types of chicken sandwiches but only fries and onion rings for our veggie and vegan friends. Four or five main burger styles, all under $10, quick drive thru with big print for all to see. And you know what else? A damn good burger. Yup. Worth every penny.

I just want a burger that doesn't have onions inside the patty. My car smells like onions and the burger wasn't even in my vehicle for long. I was so excited when I saw the option to not cook it with grilled onions but it was a LIE! Still onions in the patty. I guess it was just the option to not have additional grill onions put on top. Either way my car smells now and I still hungry. Please just let me escape the onions so I can buy more burgers. I want to like this place. The cheese fries great but please I just don't want onions.

Lee's on Metaire Road is very dirty. There were fruit flies all over the ketchup bottle. The place was disgusting. The hamburger was dripping grease. all so gross, two of the three of us could not eat

Your food is awesome but I rec'd the wrong order from door dash. When I tried to resolve the issue with door dash they wanted a picture of the food or receipt. I don't have a smartphone and I don't know how to do this. I told them to deliver the right order and they can have the wrong one back. All they will reimburse me is $16 out of the $34 I paid for my order. Customers BEWARE, door dash will rip you off if they can. It's like I'm being punished for no being "tech savvy". Tried Lee's for the first time last week. It was good but lacking a bit. The place is nice and clean and the staff was really friendly. My only complaint, we'll okay two complaints, is the burger patty needed seasoning big time, pretty bland. The second is the parking, supper tight fit. Although I do drive a full sized truck. No way could I of fit through the drive up window situation. Did like the onion rings, ate them all!

Has always been the best fast food deal in Metairie! Fresh meat daily always and best onion rings in the Metro area. Way cheaper than McDonalds or Burger King! Great Crew and service. Cute old time burger joint!

A super simple burger joint with a burger that ranks higher than you might expect! Be careful pulling into the lot, the ground is not level. My burger was pretty thick and juicy and flavored nicely. I tried the cheese fries but I wish I would of tried regular fries. The cheese is a lot, but the fries are delicious. Add this place to the list of great burger joints around town.

After a major fail at Buds Broiler. I made my way to Lee's. Consistency is the key word when it comes to Lee's. A soft bin and a thick Patty is all I needed today. The burger was juicy & simply perfect. The service is fast & its just something about the fresh chopped onions that can't do any wrong. I highly recommend checking this spot out no frills but delicious & simple

Good chunk of meat, tasty, tastes better than it looks. Would def come back, the fries looked nice and crunchy too.

Still one of the best fish sandwiches in the city - crispy, cooked to order, fresh, and tasty! Great onion rings too.

Lee's on Vets has always been good and consistent! Even though the prices have gone up a little, the burgers are bigger, and they are now serving the fries in a cup like Five Guys. At least that's what I've been getting at the drive thru. I think with all the competition in the surrounding area, this is your best bet! Get the "Works" and you won't be disappointed!

I have been coming to this location for well over ten years and have always been pleased by the food and service except for last night. The manager was very grumpy, irritable, and rude. When I had to pay for my food, he angrily shoved the card reader across the counter to me. I asked what time the restaurant closed and he snapped back at me what the closing time was. I would have told him I was leaving if I haven't already paid. The food was excellent as usual but when I was refilling my drink before leaving, I still thanked the manager even though he had been rude to me. I know he heard me say thank you but he pretended like he didn't hear me and didn't answer. Me and several of my family have always liked eating here but I will not be returning because of the horrible customer service.

Love love love their burgers. Even the shrimp and catfish is delicious. Everything is always hot and fresh. Customer service is great too.

The food is good, but the service is poor. I'm in the drive through at 7:52 pm and some walks ou to tell me they're closed...really, @ 7:52 on a Friday night..? Whoever owns this place better get involved are they gonna go down the tubes fast.

UNBELIEVABLE that I paid $5.44 for an order of cheese fries and this minuscule portion is itit would have been better to go to Five Guys for their humongous order of fries and add cheese at home!! NEVER, ever will I go back for anything. Posting this rating requires a star but these fries do NOT deserve a star since they tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours!! Extremely disappointing!!

This was our first time trying Lee's Hamburgers. We must say .. we will not be back. We ordered a burger with cheese, ketchup, & bacon only. While ordering the burger we were not aware of onions being cooked directly on the burger. After purchasing and sitting down to enjoy, we notified the host and she advised that's how their made. So what if you allergic to onion??? That just didn't make any sense. Also, they use shredded cheese, which is not so great on a burger. Sliced cheese is the best as far as flavor and texture. The fries had no seasoning (no salt or anything) The onion rings also has no season & poorly battered. This place also made me sick hours later. This was a horrible experience and I will never return. If your looking for a good burger, please go elsewhere!

Every time I've eaten from here, I've never been disappointed!!! Burgers are made fresh and delicious. Not to greasy, and the meat is fresh until it breaks apart. And let's not forget about the onion rings, crispy crispy crispy!!! Not too much batter and not to litter.. I've order both store and ubereats and I'm always satisfied!!!

Holy. Hell. I've lived here my whole life and I've never tried this place but OH MY GOSH. I had the most sensual experience I've had in a while with a burger. Simply one of the best locations around for a good, hardy, quick burger. And the FRIES. WOAHHHHHHHH! The chili cheese fries are icing on the metaphoric cake to this meals enjoyment. I will be coming back in the near future, ready for another intimidate experience.

The best place for a burger in Slidell or around for sure. I order mine dressed, no onions because they are minced, and no cheese. It's a delicious burger every time and everyone who works there has been incredibly nice. Amazing little gem!

This place should be condemned!!! The bathroom is worse then a gas station bathroom and they don't cook the food the way you ask them too!!! It's dark and dank inside and you feel the grease as soon as you walk in. I'd you value your health stay away!!!!

Save your money. If you're gonna eat here you might as well go to the grocery store, gather the groceries, and cook it your self. These people are using fine shredded cheese on their burgers. Overall, the food gives me corner store vibes. It's really cheaply made and there's no reason for them to be charging five guys prices. Not even Mooyah good. Shake shack is better. The service was meh, not bad not great. Oh well, another one bites the dust. Hope this helps!

Lee's is so awesome! Cheese fries, burgers, & Barq's root beer! Such good service, delicious burgers, & sides that will make your mouth water.

They aren't GREAT but they are pretty good. Very nice decor and atmosphere that is child friendly. Cooked to order with fresh ingredients. don't think you'll go wrong here.

It's so frustrating to see food service people refuse to wear masks in a pandemic. Honestly it makes me uncomfortable to eat the food.

I didn't love it as much as everyone else did. It was ok but not the best. The burger was juicy so that was good. But the cheese fries.... the cheese on top had a plastic taste when you ate them. I kind of can't explain it but it wasn't a cheddar flavor, it was more of a chemical taste. The chili on the chill cheese fries didn't wow me either. The service was good however. They got a big rush of people after we arrived so people do like it. The bathroom wasn't that great either. I could barely get the door to lock. I'm not sure if the restaurant felt all that clean either.

New Orleans original! Best burgers in town. My personal favorite is the works burger. Try it! Vets location is the best.

My family raced over here after the Krewe of Little Rascals Parade. We were anticipating that the place would be slammed with business after the Parade. It looked liked the owners family was trailing behind us as I misconstrued them as paying customers. The burgers were nothing special and it came to no surprise why my family was the only ones eating there. The customer service could use improvement and the place was really dirty. I don't plan on going to this location again. I will try the location in Baton Rouge and hopefully it will be a lot better than this one.

This place is so good. I've lived in Metairie all my life and I've always wanted to go here, but never did. But today I finally did and it was amazing. I would definitely order the cheese fries, they were so cheesy. And the burgers were good too, it wasn't too expensive but it was a little more than what I would've liked to pay, but I would definitely go back. Plus the service was really good.

I ordered the shrimp sandwich. I wanted as a poboy but they were out of french bread but it was still delicious on a bun but for the price I paid I wish it would have been bigger. I also ordered the chili cheese fries and they were definitely NOT worth the $4.19 I paid for them!!! They were very bland and the chili wasn't chili it was just ground beef with diced tomatoes. I won't be ordering chili cheese anything from them BUT I will definitely order the shrimp sandwich/poboy again!!

2x in the last 2 weeks I've gone there and they've been closed during times they have listed as opened. Today they cleary had employees in the building at 11:20 am but closed sign was on (was listed online they open at 11:00 am.) So if you decide to go there, make sure you have a back up plan.

My exact words to my husband were "That is not what you would expect to get from a drive-thru." They use shredded Cheddar instead of sliced and grilled onions instead of raw. The meat isn't a patty as much as loose ground beef. All of this comes together to make a dynamite burger. Their onion rings were really good, too. Great little spot I'm happy we stumbled upon.

Theses burgers are really good. The patty is homemade with grilled onions in it... (I love this)! Seasoned just right with a lil salt and pepper. All drinks are one size (abt 12 oz) for $.80... not a bad deal. The only negative I'll mention, which is really not a problem for me but for my husband and I'm sure most guys, is that the burger is a tad bit small (just a lil bigger than a McD's cheeseburger so you may wanna get 2 or make it a double meat! #eatup

The place is dirty. I'm good with a bit divey, but it's kind of pushing it. The hamburgers were cooked well and flavorful. The sweet potato fries were over cooked and tasted like old grease. It was pricey though. Two hamburgers and an order of sweet potato fries was about $17, no drinks or desserts. We ate there and I regretted it. It could really use a deep cleaning. Our clothes stunk of old grease after being there for 35 minutes.

I really love their food but won't go there anymore because the staff stopped wearing masks. We are in a giant surge of new cases and not having staff members wear masks and take precautions is wildly irresponsible. Because the cashiers are so careless, I have no confidence that their food prep staff are taking any safety measures. For this reason, I will not eat here anymore.

You just can't beat this for a good burger and fries I love going there when I'm back in town
