Where to order banh mi sandwiches in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Vietnamese banh mi chain Lee’s Sandwiches has three Las Vegas franchises, including a Chinatown location, a Silverado Ranch location, and a southwest location. Grilled pork, pork meatball, pate, sardine, and grilled chicken are a few banh mi options on the expansive menu, which also includes breakfast sandwiches and pastries." - Krista Diamond

Google
Surprisingly great sandwich. Fresh baguette. Full of veg and crispy tofu. Nice staff. Good menu. I’ll be back!

Google
I heard good things about their food but ill came and the close 40 minutes before the time and waving me to leave with their hands

Vegas Limmi (NinjaChopsticks)

Google
Great place for your bahn mi fix, always consistent and delicious. I love the combination or No.1 with added grilled pork. To be honest I've tried the entire menu and they are all delicious.

Google
In this location is not much of choice. Very rare in the morning you may be so lucky to find anything else than bagett and only 3 choices of sandwiches. It is sad. Because they coffee is very good and they advertise so many testy and good looking Lee Sandwich's items !Well,so if you want to have some choices -I recommend to visit central location.

Google
Usually get a sandwich and fried egg rolls or chicken nuggets. Dont ask, I just like their chicken nuggets for some reason. Looks like they changed their menu board around when I visited last time. (12/24/23) I do have to ask them to charge for extra meat when I order the banh mi.

Google
I was really happy when this location opened because I live in Mountains Edge. The China Town location isn't far but traffic can sometimes make it a PITA. I like that they still have the special - I think it's buy five sandwiches, get the sixth free. The service is good but sometimes the sandwich prep takes a while. But it's all worth it in the end because you can't beat the fresh-baked rolls!

Daniel Morgan

Google
Their hours say they close at 6PM and got here at 5:30 but the close sign was up and the employee was still inside. I intended to pick up about 10 sandwiches for a group this evening and timed it so that we got here before their closing time. I guess they decided to close early. Very frustrating.

Google
We've been going to Lee's sandwich the last 5 years at the original location, always had quality food for a decent price, but they've slowly raised everything... I honestly don't think they're no longer worth it. Other places you can go for the same quality for less money.

Yelp
I know Lee's Sandwiches is supposed to be the lowest tier banh mi, but honestly, I don't understand the hate! I think it's really decent for what it is. I usually go to the Chinatown location if it's later in the night and the cravings hit. However, I was in the Southwest area after getting my hair done and wanted to pick up something quick to eat during lunch. The interior is clean and organized with a few tables to dine in at. The cashier was really nice and service was quick. I got the #11 Special Combination. When I got home and opened it, I was pleasantly surprised with how neatly and fairly stuffed the filling was. For cleanliness, service, and decent portions, I would definitely return to this location whenever I'm in the area again and wanted banh mi!

Yelp
I only picked up 4 baguettes for $13. Really good and they baked them up in 6 minutes. I'm not a fan of the sandwiches because of the onions but their baguettes are yummy. Not as hard on the outside as a true French one, but a million times better than grocery store. Good service. A little crowded for parking. Small store and I didn't even know it was there if my friend didn't say there was one on the way to his house.

Yelp
the bread is soft and fluffy with a slight crunch. I love that its not all bread like other places. I got the BBQ pork...which is essentially like a Chinese roast pork...not what I was expecting but still good. Pork was sliced thinly which I appreciated. One sandwich i feel could feed two people. I ate one half the sandwich for lunch and the other for dinner. I phone ordered and it took about 20 minutes for three sandwich combos. Gave me enough time to drive to their location. My only complaint is that i wish the protein serving was a little more, i feel like i had more veggies than protein. But overall it was great. Oh and i love that they have a combo with spring rolls...in hawaii i always have to order spring rolls separately. Definitely will be back to try other sandwiches.

Tuan N.

Yelp
I got a to go combination sandwiches + tax around 9.21 dollars and was very disappointed. They increased the price but the inside was pretty bad quality. 90% is radish. A couple of thin meat. The only good thing is the bread was soft than before. I highly recommended Dakao Sandwiches instead .

Yelp
I usually get the turkey & roast beef on the croissant from the Sprint Mtn location, the one day i switch it up and come to this location, they were out of croissants. I also tried to order the spring rolls and the guy said they don't serve it at this location but it's on their menu. He also said they were out of their pickled veggies (carrot & daikon). What is banh mi without the pickled veggies. I also asked for avocado on the side and it was so hard.

Yelp
Lee's is considered the usually the lowest tier bun mai, which wouldn't ever cross our mind to get. Never thought I'd ever hit up a Lee's Sandwiches again. But local Vegas just doesn't have any places we've liked so far. It's a commercialized bun mi, that's lower quality than Banh Mi.Cge Cali's mass produced version. I thought it was the cheapest too? But looks like they can cost the same as other places too. For Vegas, Lees could be comparable to other places due to its cheese head spread, and generic offering. The taste is the same. But it's usually the lowest tier due to its bread quality, with the amount of bread is a lot per bite, and fillings are sparse. $6.95 combination $7.25 combination special (includes pork). For Vegas, - SO still likes Co Anh's Sandwich and Noodles Kitchen for his banh mi due to huge amount of meat out into it. - There is no banh mi place I like so far. Because of that I would consider Lee's Sandwich on my banh mi list. It wouldn't even cross my mind to be on my LA list though. SO really didn't like it. But at least the taste wasn't as off as other places for me. Other places will give more quality bread, more meat, and garnishes like cilantro to pickled carrots and radish.

Yelp
I was so excited to see a sandwich spot but when I tell you I'm so disappointed I got a turkey sandwich on a croissant and this is the nastiest sandwich I've had I mean literally the avacado is old and they put government yellow cheese on my sandwich like didn't even ask what kind of cheese I wanted and of all cheeses give me the most disgusting one never again will I waste my 11$

Yelp
Great sandwiches and great baguettes. The chicken teriyaki sandwich was very good. Clean restaurant and good service. They were out of a few things which sucked, but i left with a smile. Great lunch spot!

Peter Z.

Yelp
I had high hopes walking into Lee's Sandwiches, but unfortunately, my experience left me more disappointed than a soggy bánh mì. Let's start with the bread, which should be the star of any sandwich. Instead of the signature crispy, airy baguette I was expecting, I got something that felt--and tasted--like it had been baked last week. The fillings didn't help either. The meat was bland and lifeless, seemingly thin enough to see through. A good quarter of the sandwich didn't even have any meat. Every bite felt like an exercise in disappointment. Service-wise, the staffs were rude when I point out the flaws. They seemed more interested in their phones than working there.

Yelp
This location has become an "after church" lunch spot. Bread tastes fresh every time. My usual order is the #11, (special combination?). Service is pretty quick and polite. I haven't tried other products, but they have quite the variety of sandwiches. The egg rolls are good, crispy. And the Thai tea has a good amount of sweetness and tea blend.

Yelp
This is a smaller version of the restaurant on Spring mountain. The bbq pork sandwich never disappoints. However, they did not have their fresh spring rolls, they don't sell it at this restaurant. I was a bit sad but I got over it after I ate my sandwich!

Yelp
Ingredients are always so fresh!!!! The BBQ Pork Sandwich is amazing. The flavor combination is great!!!! The inside is straight forward. Four tables and some places to sit while you're awaiting your to go order. Staff is extremely friendly and professional. Great food, Great vibes!!!!

Yelp
I ordered through UberEats. I have ordered a few times like this and had a few problems here and there but this time my order was correct. I got the BBQ Pork sandwich on the 10" baguette. I enjoyed the baguette. It was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. I would agree with other comments about not much meat on the sandwich. I asked for extra veggies on mine. I love the picked daikon and carrots, onion, jalopeno, and cilantro. I feel I have to request extra to be able to get much. To me they are always very sparing with the insides of the sandwich. I do however really enjoy these sandwiches. One of my all time favorite things are spring rolls. I just can't at Lee's. I get super excited and forget about the last time I had them here. I got the vegetarian spring rollls. Other Vietnamese restaurants serve their vegetarian rolls with tofu. There was nothing besides the noodles, ice berg lettuce, and some weird crispy bits that were not so crispy. There was no flavor to any of it. No fresh herbs. Nothing to excite your palette. The rice paper is so gummy as well as the vermicelli noodles. The rolls are so packed with noodles that the whole thing just fell apart. You can't really pick up the little bits of 'not so crispy' things. The peanut sauce is just not good to me. The whole thing was awful. After trying to eat it, I couldn't even stomach it anymore. It was so gummy I was chewing forever. Again, no flavor whatsoever. I will never order these from Lee's again. Really my stars are 3.5 but I do enjoy the sandwiches. I like the Vietnamese coffee also. Super sweet. You will get a caffeine and sugar boost. It's really good though. I suggest going in to order rather than UberEats and I do not suggest ordering the spring rolls.

Yelp
Do not get your Banh Mi from this establishment. They literally give you more bread than meat or veggies. Sandwich did not have flavor tho what little veggies that were on the sandwich did not offer fresh flavor The Lees Sandwiches on 3989 Spring Mountain is much better so please get your Banh Mi or other sandwiches there. They always have pastries available. The Coconut Raisin Cinnamon Roll is so gooooood

Yelp
Don't go here. Sandwiches barely have any meat in them. I ordered a grilled pork sandwich and it had a few pieces of some pink fatty meat. I was so irritated, I brought it back inside. I should've taken a picture of it. I went back and told the guy at the counter that this is not grilled pork. He opens it up and says something to the cook in the back. The cook comes and tells me that's how the meat is delivered and there's nothing they can do about it. So, they can only give me a refund. He was just rude and walked away. I will never go here again. I don't know if these are new owners or what, because it was actually good 6 months ago. I really wouldn't give any stars.
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
I recommend going to the Spring Mountain location or the one on Eastern. Peculiar "go away" feel to the place. The veggie sandwich I've enjoyed for years isn't good here, dried up ingredients and missing key components like cilantro. I should have known better when it's lunch time and no one is there.

Erin F.

Yelp
This Lee's is seriously awful. They continue to keep themselves up on DoorDash when they have no ingredients in stock and even if they DO accept an order, they cancel it shortly after. This used to be a good place, but it has been run into the ground.
google avatar

Joseph G.

Yelp
Pretty good sandwich, the bread is so soft and the meat inside is very tasty. It even has the right amount of spice to it. I ordered the grilled pork and the combination. I think I enjoyed the grilled pork a little more just because I felt it had more flavor. Staff is very friendly and the store is nice and clean. Give it a try, I know I'll be back for more

Yelp
I was a little hesitant about trying this place because of the 3 star review but I figured it would give it a go. The parking is a little frustrating because it's a busy business center with quite a few businesses in the same business complex. The shop was clean and quiet for lunch today. The employees wee nice and helped me select a popular sandwich. I bought a turkey club sandwich. The bread was quite dry but still palatable. The meat was okay, the cheese was okay, and it came with a packet of mustard, I thought that was weird. I asked for extra pickles, both were limp and definitely not fresh. It came with peppers and were dry and again, not fresh. I feel like I could make a better sandwich at home. There's wasn't much of a chip selection to go with the sandwich. Just basic freetos, bbq chips, and Cheetos. Sorry, I wasn't impressed. I won't be going again. Please focus on fresher ingredients and a better chip selection.

Yelp
Cashier she gossip front of about me to man who makes sandwich. While I'm waiting for my drink. This lady is so looser. Are you Vietnamese? Who speak English? Sham on you. These day, most of shop has bad services.( I will not go there anymore.) I'm not asking them service like 5star hotel. You know what I mean? Honestly, like after Covid. People who works at restaurants and Small shop who owner is not there. Only like part time and work with only manager? Like has bad services. People who work there manger is not like these day.people who give good services. I understand people who work there for part time or full time job. Always there workers are change often. The lady who work there with glass. Is she Vietnamese? If so, Very disappointed her bad services. I ordered Nước mía. Speak Vietnamese. But she didn't understand first time. I repeated. She didn't understand. Is this Nước mía Word hard to understand understand????? And she says that Nước mía is Vietnamese... Suddenly I don't know what to say . And while I'm ordering she showing her attitude Her attitude was so bad. Her talking style were like . (I'm not happy what so what.. very aggressive)these kind of attitude type. She should not work there's casher. Because I feel upset right before pickup my drink. I heard she gossiped about me to the man who make sandwiches. Is this right? I have an attitude too. But I try to move on. So I didn't bring up at the shop. WOW, I ordered drink. And she asked me to pays the tips first on credit card machine. But same she had so bad attitude from the first and untill I pick up. You must know. If you want to work there. Do the best. Remember Your pay check? From customer. Hey lady who work there today. Aug7,2024 On rainbow branch. With glasses. Poor lady, has a bad attitude and ugly face. Worst I had ever met. And stop gossip front of about customer. Worst trash ever. Don't go anywhere. Stay lees sandwich shop. All the cashiers are not always bad like you. I will not pays the tips untill I get services. I will not pays first my tips. I don't want my tips money goes to trash person. So annoying. But I will move on. Because I don't want to waste my time for this trash attitude. If you guys go to lees sandwiches This week you might see her. So annoying.

Yelp
Great service but sandwiches are not price worthy. Shop is clean tho, and it's easy to find a parking lot.

Yelp
This location was a breath of fresh air as I walked in and no line. I have been visiting the spring mountain/china town location for years. I came across this location so random in passing from a food stop at another food shop in the same plaza. I was shocked and surprised, I had to stop and pick up a bbq pork banh mi to go! Mmmmm just as yummy as the OG location. That chewy baguette bread, korean mayo with hint of sweet, crunchy veggies and flavorful bbq pork. Add siracha and kick it up a notch! I am delighted that this newer location exist as I will be visiting often to get my banh mi sandwich fix. Mmmmmmm yum yes! :)
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Thought they closed at 9pm. Got there 15 mins before 6pm and they were closing. But, as long as we were just ordering sandwiches to-go, they served us. Almost a foot long Bahn mi and it was good. Next time, I'll order with extra pickled veggies. Will visit again!
google avatar

Nathaniel M.

Yelp
I honestly just love going here for the Vietnamese coffee. But for the price the banh mi's, even though they are about average, are a steal
google avatar

Joel J.

Yelp
I've only had the bánh mì at this location, but I find it to be solid. I've had other ones in town that were probably a little bit better but this one was solid. I would go back and enjoy it again I haven't had any of the other sandwiches but I'm sure they're great four-star quality.
google avatar

Nhan H.

Yelp
The taste is great. This is the place I usually come for a quick lunch. But I've noticed they only fill the meat about 70-80% of the bread, both ends are empty (you know what I'm talking about if you pay attention). I thought it might be a mistake at first, but after the few times I know for sure that is their way of doing business. I know I shouldn't ask much for a $6.75 Banh Mi, but just feel cheated with the way they do it. Kind of disappointed because they are a big brand

Christina A.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place, I usually only get 3 items on their menu though. #5 is a must! I take off the jalapeños because spicy and I aren't friends. The bread is always soft and good chewing consistency. The meat and pickled radish and carrots are delicious; it pairs up so well for the sandwich. I also order the iced coffee. It's super sweet and strong, best used when you want that caffeine taste and you want your heart pumping like a rat on a wheel. And I USED to order the deli manjoos but every time I try to order it, they don't have it or aren't selling it anymore, which is sad because I feel like that delicious dish is amazing! The service is always friendly and quick.
google avatar

Doriee L.

Yelp
Lee's isn't bad but it isn't fantastic either. Lee's Sandwiches, for the most part, are usually just okay. This location isn't an exception to the rule. If you come at the right time, they'll have fresh bread and that usually makes it a tad better. Whenever my husband and I come here, we typically get their combination sandwich, which has the pate and a variety of meat. The flavor is pretty decent and I usually ask for extra jalapenos. I've never had a problem with the service here. Although the last time I came here, the wait was a little long. I wish they would have told me why. I think they were making fresh bread and it was a little bit of a wait. Overall, it's decent and provides a quick fix whenever I'm craving a bahn mi :)
google avatar

Eddie K.

Yelp
Question: what's the matter with you people? Why aren't you coming to this spot and grabbing sandwiches? Every time I walk in, there's nobody in there. Where are you guys going? You should be going here. Best banh mi around. Staff is friendly as frick and super quick. And there's an awesome Asian market next door with all kinds of good stuff. This place should be crowded as heck. If I go in there again and it's not wall to wall people, I'm giving out noogies

Leo S.

Yelp
The shop is small in size but the staff are friendly and helpful. I often go on weekends, there are two young people like students talking to guests very warmly. The bread comes out of the oven hot and fresh. I will come back more often. Hope the shop will develop further. Everyone, remember to try it.
google avatar

Yelp
Where's the meat? I'm paying for bread and veggies. Service was very good, but the sandwiches were disappointing.
google avatar

Yelp
THEY STEAL TIPS FROM YOU WATCH WHEN YOU CHECKOUT cause the worker girl will charge a tip to you till via the card reader. She inputs a tip then spins the card reader so you can sign. She'll tell you your total, lie to your face and say it's tax. WILL TRY TO NOT GIVE YOU YOUR RECIPT. when you do get it, you'll see a lesser price than what she told you. Happened today at 3 pm. 2-20-2022

Tom M.

Yelp
I can't speak to the poor reviews since I always order the one same sandwich each time. That being said... I do enjoy dropping in from time to time to get my fix of a number six. This is the BBQ pork that I love ! For me this sandwich is great and never disappoints. I love the fresh baguette and quite often it's still warm, fresh out of the oven. The line moves fairly fast and everyone is nice.
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
Lee's used to be amazing and has gone to utter shit including this location. All feels stale and have had employees cancer my order last minute after I wasted time during my work day expecting my meal. Really sad considering how good their sandwiches used to be. The usual of business going to crap in Vegas and acting like they are justified to raise prices per inflation when serving garbage quality and workers that hate their jobs and take it out on the quality of food customers get!
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
Seems like they are always close early. We arrive 6:50 and already closed. It also looks like under new management. Service is really from bad to worse. Wish they can open longer.
google avatar

Kathy G.

Yelp
It's the bread!! I've been to Lees in Chinatown and decided to eat at the one on Rainbow. Just as good as the original place. Fresh toasted bread roll that is served with fresh veggies and herbs with the barbecue pork slices. My favorite is the #6 with the barbecued pork. 4 stars due to no soda machine and also the menu is not up to date. We asked for spring rolls as well and were informed it's not on their menu any more even though its posted.

Randy C.

Yelp
Had no idea this location existed!! And I live 5 min away. Probably gonna be coming here a lot now that I know .
google avatar

Gianna L.

Yelp
no meat inside whatsoever. it was just bread and veggies half of my sandwich went to waste
google avatar

A.F. N.

Yelp
Lee's sandwiches used to be so good, but no more. Ordered 2 sandwiches (grilled pork and BBQ pork). There was so much shredded carrots in it that is should be called a carrot sandwich. I could barely find any meat in the sandwiches. Also ordered 2 smoothies. DO NOT order it! It's made of artificial flavoring. It tasted like it was made from powder. Worst smoothies I've ever had. We threw it away after 2 sips. Awful!
google avatar

Steffi M.

Yelp
In my opinion, I think Lee's is a great place for a quick and cheap meal. I ordered the #6, which is the BBQ Pork sandwich and I had no complaints! I could tell that the bread was freshly made and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They make the sandwiches very generously with lots of meat and vegetables and it all tasted delicious! The sandwiches were made very quickly as well and the workers were very friendly. Their menu is pretty huge, ranging from sandwiches, iced coffees, steamed buns, smoothies, etc. and they even have a small section of asian snacks. If you've never had their iced coffees, I highly recommend it. I took off a star because the tables were a little messy but it was nothing a wet napkin couldn't fix. Also, their fried options like chicken nuggets and egg rolls were sold out hours before the store was closing.
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
I went here on a whim one day for lunch and I was not disappointed. Their sandwhiches are simple, but delicious. I will say though, if you are not a fan of spicy then beware. My sandwhich came with jalapenos which usually are tolerable for me, but nope. Idk what it was with their slaw mix but the jalapenos were so hot! Other than that, the sandwhich was great and they had other little things you could purchase like asian candies or shrimp chips.

Henry T.

Yelp
I'm new to the area and our website is open to six at 5:40 and they close so I couldn't get what I want. Bad bad one star.
google avatar

Kimberly T.

Yelp
Love love Love their bread! They do bake it fresh daily - they say every 30 minutes - I've been here at different times of the day and have bought just the bread and it was still warm! Sadly, I've been here when they first open or minutes after and there was no bread ready. I've also seen workers walk in to start their shift minutes after opening. The combination is my favorite along with the Lees club (life's of delicious meat). Today I ordered just the eff and cheese breakfast sandwich on baguette. Yummy fresh bread - and an incredible amount of eggs but only one slice of cheese. Maid the sandwich a little off. I added another cheese when I got home and it was perfect. For under $5 it was plenty of food. They also offer combos.
google avatar

Sabrina S.

Yelp
I deducted 2 stars today because they had my food ready but was waiting on egg rolls which they said would take 7 minutes...15 minutes later and three customers that came behind me later....I finally had to yell at them to get their attention since they were so busy talking and chatting they couldn't hear me at first... Because they were being so loud Then when I finally got their attention they were so very flippant about the long wait... No apology.... No nothing.... Just have me a look like I was crazy. They never asked me if it was to go or for dine in. They had everything packed like it was to go. The fourth person that came in after me got their food literally seconds after I received my sandwich... No egg rolls... These I received another 5 minutes after I got my sandwich. So how does 7 minutes equal 20 minutes on egg rolls??? Then when I finally got the food...I was really annoyed about the wait and I let it show... Then they stood there in the kitchen talking about me... Saying things like she needs to chill...Uummmm... Are they really that retarded that they think that I can't hear them over the glass that doesn't even go-to the ceiling. They seriously need to retrain their staff... Seeing as how it was a manager that was talking crap about me to one of her staff... NOT COOL. I can say that the manager on duty Mirasol was more interested in laughing and chatting with her male employee then actually doing her job. The service here has really been off and on.... Now because of this crappy service, I won't come back. If they really don't want my money there are plenty of other places.

Yelp
I used to crave Lee's sandwiches. But my last two experiences have not gone so well. My latest was today. I order a #26 with extra onions. I got my sandwich and asked for one more mustard pack. The guy behind the counter looks around dazed and then tells me, "we are out of mustard". I looked in the bag where the sandwich was placed and sure enough, a sandwich a couple of peels of onions and no packet of condiment. No mustard, napkins no extra onions like I asked and the worst thing about it all, is that the cashier wasn't even going to let me know that I had I was missing items from my meal that I paid for. Shady.... Nope, Lee's sandwiches are off my menu list.
google avatar

Carrie G.

Yelp
My experience here was not good, first time for us and it will be the last, we ordered steam buns (meat and egg was dry), the Asian combo #1 I don't know what kind of meat they had on there but it was unrecognizable and the bread was so stale, we also got the BBQ pork sandwich, it was cold, we've had it from different Vietnamese restaurants and they were all served warm. So unfortunately first impression last, we will not be back. Sorry I did not take photos as the food didn't look good.
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
All I wanted to do was buy a baguette and they were closed 30 minutes before their actual closing time.
google avatar

Cydia N.

Yelp
Dropped by Lee's before my long ride back to LA. First of all, no sugarcane juice here. So disappointed. Only in China town location. I don't usually get coffee from Lee's but I got coffee this time. I asked for less ice for my coffee so it wouldn't be diluted as much and they wouldn't fill up my coffee even I paid $5 for it. It was 3/4 filled up. Smh! Apparently the coffee isn't freshly made. They pour it out of their coffee concentrate in a bottle WHICH you can also buy. Anyways I'm gonna stick with China Town location.

Yelp
Good spot. Seating available even with social distancing. Most people order to go but I like dining in. Ordered the veggie sandwich and a lee's coffee. Both were very delish. I remember when the bahn mis were a lot cheaper prices have definitely gone up a lot especially for vegas price. But once in a while doesnt hurt.
