Lee's Sandwiches

Would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered delivery through doordash (meatball banhmi, 4 pate chaude and 2 orders of wings). They called me and said they don't have wings and said they need to replace it with something with similar pricing and said they'll send a chicken sandwich and a chicken egg roll. Didn't even give me a choice to pick what I wanted. Just assumed I'd like a chicken sandwich and a chicken eggroll to replace the wings. I said no just remove it from the order and they refused and said they needed to replace it or they aren't going to deliver. I told her I wanted another meatball banhmi since its 11 dollars just to replace it she said "no since its a chicken sub it should be okay" reluctantly said okay because she seemed to be stuck on sending me a chicken sub. Got my order and my meatball banhmi was not in the order instead I got a pork sandwich. I called and I let them know my sandwich was incorrect. The rude woman on the phone told me I was wrong and demanded I send pictures. Which I did when I called back she said oh that's the wrong sandwich...which I was very well aware of. She asked "what you want me to do about it". I told her at that point out of my entire order the only item I wanted that I got was the pate chaude. I asked her for a refund only on the meatball sub and she told me to wrap up the sandwich keep it in the freezer and bring it back when I want it replaced or refunded?? I live 45 minutes away hence the delivery but asking me to freeze a sandwich, drive 45 minutes and bring it back when I have time is insane. I've never had a food establishment request I bring food back for their mistake after I've opened and touched it. When I told her no she said she would pick up the sandwich from my home and asked me for my home addresss????? I'm not sure what they're planning on doing with a sandwich that's been opened, touched then frozen? Maybe resell it or make sure I didn't eat it? Ended up throwing away the sandwiches all together and ordering from another place. I'm not just a little disappointed this is by far the rudest customer service and bizarre experience I've had when notifying a restaurant they sent me the wrong order and the lengths they expected me to go through to get a refund or a replacement for the correct sandwich. 2/3 of my initial order wasn't provided. Ended up just going through doordash for a refund. Do not go here! Now I'm contemplating if they're just reusing old sandwiches from incorrect orders.

Lee’s gets back and forth reviews all the time, all I can say is be patient, and take your time to enjoy the food and experience of the cooks. I had to sit a bit longer than I expected for my sandwich but it’s because the ingredients were fresh, the sandwich was delicious, and the sweet iced coffee was very refreshing with it. Lotta people seem to say staff is rude but might not realize they could be too xD

Plenty of banh mi establishments in the NoVa area but I prefer Lee's the best due to their customer service, variety of choice outside of the delicious sandwiches and spacious interior where you can dine in. They will truly cater your banh mi to your liking and preference. Just my two cents growing up in the area.

Best sandwiches EVER! You talk about fresh ingredients and best bread in the NOVA area. Stop by any Lee’s Sandwich shops and you will not be disappointed. Today I got the Ham & Turkey and the #4 Gà Núöng Grilled Chicken along with Thai coffee. The entire meal was great, and the service was excellent!

I’ve now been here enough times I feel I can accurately express my opinion. The food is always 10/10. The service is 10/10. The speed of food is 9.5/10. The first time I came here, it was empty, took 20 minutes for me to go up and ask where my food was. It took 5 minutes for it to come out. The food was phenomenal. I was ready to not come back, but a friend of mine swore that they were worth it. Came back again, it was packed full and busy. Service was fast moving and prompt. Our food came out in 5 minutes. Since then, I’ve only had 2 times where my meal was forgotten, but that’s out of dozens of times I’ve come. Thanksgiving was a perfect example of how amazing and efficient this place is. There were 10 large orders coming in, baguettes were being sold box after box after box, more roasting. So many families were inside seated and eating, ordering, enjoying themselves. I ordered the same as always, and it STILL came out in 5 minutes. I can only ever recommend this place. Just on the rare occasion it takes more than 10 minutes, don’t be afraid to ask. When the building is packed full of patrons, the service is quick and cordial

Been going to lees for as long as it’s been open, we even went to the original shop in California. I love the #12 vegetarian bahn mi, of course everything is good here. Try the Vietnamese iced coffee. And if you dine in try the iron skillet meal!

The only thing good in this place are the baguettes. The staff’s are rude, the execution on the ban mi is poor and everything is over priced!! I ordered a bbq ban mi without veggies and it tasted like i was eating straight baguette bcuz there was hardly any meat in the sandwich. Smh for a 9 dollar ban mi and it’s mostly bread!!! This place needs to be turned into a bakery. And needs a new owner and staff!!

Fresh banh mi sandwiches on daily fresh baked baguette! We love coming here to order family meal and its buy 5 get one free! Our go to sandwich is the special combo. The service and staff are always consistent.

This place is casual and great for quick eats, particularly banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches). Their menu has vast options of tasty sandwich fillings, baked goods, as well as other Asian market goods/snacks and specialty drinks (iced coffee, milk teas, smoothies, etc.) My go-to is their pork roll with pate sandwich and their infamous strong iced coffee, which is pretty much a staple Vietnamese breakfast - so if you're not sure where to start I suggest give that a try. The service is typically fast and they usually have deals on their baguettes and sandwiches. Plenty of parking is available. Unfortunately with COVID, the quality imo has gone downhill - skimpier sandwiches yet way higher prices. Not to mention ordering from this place on DoorDash/UberEats? Forget about it, they will always miss something, at least from my experience. Their house-made baguettes though, I must say are still one of the better ones. To combat my grievances, we sometimes just buy the ingredients here separately (few baguettes, a whole pork roll, container of pate, and DIY the pickled veggies) to make our own sandwiches at home. Will only order here if I'm in the area craving banh mi, but will never go out of the way.

I love this place! They have tasty sandwiches and DELICIOUS iced coffee! I come here specifically just for the iced coffee! Everything is reasonably priced and there is TONS to choose from while the portions are good as well. My favorite is the ham egg and cheese on a croissant and a side of the iced coffee! The employees that work here are nice and are always ready to help. There is also a huge sitting area if you just want to eat there. It almost looks like they turn it into a nightclub after hours lol. The building is hidden and you could easily miss it while speeding down Annandale Rd haha, but overall a very good spot to eat.

I'm glad there is a Lees here. Can't compare with OC or Vegas, but just knowing there's one in the area is cool enough. Buy 2, get 1 free ice coffee and buy 5 get 1 free banh mi like they have everywhere else. I always get the same thing either way. Different vibe here but again, just glad I can get my fix if needed

This is one of my friends' fav spots for banh mi and viet coffee. They're really affordable and easy to take out for a quick and satisfying meal. The ambience is def like a diner and old-school, which makes it feel really authentic. And you know it is.

Very solid banh mi here for a fair price- the BBQ pork sandwich is especially good. The iced coffee is great too- it's just the right amount of sweet without being overpowering. On this inside, it's spacious and well-lit- lots of seating and natural light coming in. Service is pretty fast. Would come back!

Never ever again!!! Rude and disrespectful female owner w Karen haircut. I ordered 1 baguette and paid cash. She said i had to have exact cash of 3.25$ or I have to buy two and have to pay w credit card. The lady in front of me was kind enough to give me a quarter to pay in exact change. I said it was a stupid policy. The Karen owner threw the money back at me!! Bad karma will come to such horrible human beings!!! Trust!

I still love Lee's Banh Mi's & pastries. This time when I came there was only two other customers, the place was fairly empty & there were several employees working. I say this because the floors were just gross & I was very surprised to see it.This place is fairly big & everywhere you looked there was trash, crumbs, dirty trays, & stuff spilled on the floor. It literally looked like they hadn't swept or mopped in forever & that made me cringe & second-guess but I still went for it. As always it was delicious. We got two Banh Mi combo sandwiches aka Dac Biet, two bottled teas, & a bag of chips & all this came to about $24. I would've gotten a coconut waffle but it looked pretty dry like it had been there all day; not sure if they would make one fresh and I didn't ask. I will be back again but I sure hope next time they clean the place because it's such a great spot it's a shame to see this.

Terrible service, the front desk staff was touching the bread with their bare hands. The bread was thrown around the ambiance of the costumer interaction makes you not want to return again.

The iced coffee here is a must! Although many people complain that there's too much ice, the coffee is concentrate so the portion is truly enough and the ice helps keep it cold (the flavor is quite retained even when the ice melts too; helps with the sweetness too for those who want a milder level of sweet) The sandwiches (banh mi) options are ok to me. There are some places that do it better - the meats are a little dry here and the sandwich itself is just not as flavorful. However, the pre-made snacks and foods like the Vietnamese yogurts, jelly and desserts are a treat! I recommend grabbing those for sure!

This place is always like a joke! This time will probably be the last time to visit. I came here especially to try the Bo Ne. The male cashier literally lied to my face they did not have a cook for this specific dish today...and look at the picture I took. 2 plates of bo ne someone finished earlier sitting there to be cleaned up. Price went up crazy. Coffee is full of sugar (look at the label the amount of sugar they put in!). When I was getting rang up the male cashier plain ignored me. He stopped the transaction and literally chatted with a lady just walked in and wanted jump in line.

If you're a white dude that knows some viet words they will love you the sandwiches are fantastic and the imported drinks are good too cool extra meat isn't expensive at all love this place

I've always loved going to lee's sandwiches and wish we had one in my area. Recently discovered that the bahn mi option with pork Pate is the best one! Also love the meat pastries they have, and the Vietnamese coffee. It's also super satisfying to grab one and eat it on a hike.

On Saturday, July 8, 2023, my 79-year-old Vietnamese sister-in-law asked me, her 78 year ol African American, born in Georgia and raised in Washington, DC, if I could take her to LEES SANDWICHES located, 3037 Annadale Rd, Falls Church, VA 22042. This place was recommended to my sister-in-law from another Vietnamese as being a shop that has a variety of Vietnamese and other Asian foods. I picked up my sister-in-law from Upper Marlboro, Maryland and we drove in heavy traffic and sometimes spotty showers to get to this place. When I walked in three Vietnamese elderly gentlemen were playing a form of checkers. I said checkers, but they never looked up, which I can only assume they were too much engaged in their game. I followed my sister-in-law down one aisle while she began to pick up some food items that she liked. I asked her if they had a basket which she could not find so I told her I would go to my car and get some grocery bags. When I got back, I noticed my sister-in-law a little anxious and she appeared agitated and was trying to rush me along. I also noticed that the elder Vietnamese male behind the counter (perhaps the Owner) looked upset and hollered something to a young Vietnamese lady behind the counter. It was then that I said, "I speak Vietnamese." I learned later after my sister-in-law and I had left the shop that he had told the young Vietnamese lady behind the, "not to wait on me." I also found out why my 79-year-old sister-in-law was so upset. She told me later that the Owner (elder Vietnamese male) wanted to know why she was with me, and told her many disparaging things about me and my race. At this point I didn't know he had been berating my sister-in-law. I knew that I wanted to get 2 baguettes, but my sister-in-law was telling me no she would get them. Apparently, this place is known for their fresh baguettes and if you buy 5 you get 1 free. Not knowing that the badgering was going on between the Owner and by sister-in-law, I went up to the counter and before I could say anything the owner looked at me and said in a loud any angry voice, 'WHAT" I looked back at him and said, "WHAT" as well. I told him I wanted to pay for what I had bought. I bought 2 spring rolls, 1 round white dough roll but there we no label on it to tell me what was in it or the date made, container of peanut brittle and bowl of VIFON instant Rice Noodle. These three items cost $23.55. My receipt did not have these items broken out on it. This was a very bad experience that I had with this Vietnamese Shop owner. I feel I was discriminated against by this owner and I would like this shop to be investigated. No one should have to experience the way he treated me. It was so uncomfortable that my Vietnamese sister -in-law was so upset that she told him that his behavior was inappropriate and that my money is just as good as hers. I will be sending a copy of my complaint to the Governor's Office, Department of Commerce, Office of Civil Rights and Senator Mark Warner and Tom Kaine and the franchise corporate office This owner needs to be sanctioned and charged a fine. All individuals should be able to shop in a store and not feel intimidated or discriminated against. If you are Black or a person of color please don't shop here until this place is investigated.

This place is deceptive. They charge different prices which the menu doesn't reflect. The menu says 1 thing, they charge another. They gave me missing topping for my food then asked me to pay $2 in cash. They didn't want to give me a receipt so I took a pic of the cashier lady with my total. This business is a scam and they don't want to pay taxes but they charge us tax

Service is horrible and they are not honest. I was charged more than what the receipt printed and had to dispute through my bank. If you eat in, it's self service where you have pickup the food yourself and clean up yourself. but they charge you $2 even no service provided. Food is ok, will NEVER come back again!

The Bánh Mì is super good and they also have vegan option which is a plus. The bread is soft inside and crunchy outside and the sauce is just right. HOWEVER, I won't be going back as I saw a half dead cockroach on the floor right outside of the bathroom.

Unacceptable they charge you more 3% if you paid by credit card. Living and running business in USA but this store push you to pay in cash for them so I guess they dont want to pay tax I guess but still charge you sale tax Greedy Business not last long business:(

Been wanting to try this place ever since they opened. Heard it was very chaotic and it didn't come to par with the ones out in Cali and NV. I have to agree with the parking. It sucks! Since everything is now old and calmed, i decided to pop on in since i was at the doc's office this morning. Ordered me a Dac Biet (special) #11 banh mi and a large iced coffee. Totaled around $10ish, pricey! Baguette tasted very fresh and crunchy, the fillings were pretty decent and just enough amount. Taste is similar out on the west coast, i didn't experienced any rude services, thank goodness. Pleased with my order, price is a little high but it's ok for a once in awhile treat.

Pretty big restaurant with seating and you can also pick up different packaged food and goods. I really like their baguette which is made fresh here but #5 grilled pork banh mi with iced coffee and their patechaud pork was my favorite. The #11 special combo was pretty good too and I also tried their coffee milk tea and passion fruit juice which was pretty good too. I hear their pandan waffles are good but I will try that next time.

Please don't support this business! I feel like every time i'm here they are shady with their prices and every charges is different. Today I was there for a Pho and Bo Ne, the on screen menu said it's &14.99 but the lady charged me $15.95.... But this is not the end of it, after she gave me a total, she said if i'm dining in she will charge an extra $2 for the server? Wait what?!?!! Since when do they ever serve us here at Lees Sandwich? We always have to carry the tray to the table and back to the counter after we ate. Plus we clean our own table. Plus gratituity is not a must unless it's party of 6-8 people, so why is it being added? I've been coming here many many times but after today I will never be back. RIDICULOUS!

I've gone to Lee's Sandwich for their bologna many times before. This time I came home and cut the meat right away and discovered that it was orange and dry. I called the store and was told that "it's just the way that Lee's does it. If you don't like it then let this be the last time you buy it." It DEFINITELY will be the last time I purchase anything from this business. I bought 2. I was told to bring the other one out to exchange but the merchant refused to exchange the one that is clearly bad (and cut). I even asked her why the two are different colors and she said she didn't know but refused to acknowledge that it was a bad batch. Buyer beware of this business. I'm all about supporting small businesses but not businesses that do not have an ounce of customer service or principle.

Bánh mì Nem nớng - Grilled Pork sausage. The crust is crispy, good. But the sausage is ok, not really good as I thought. But I don't think the price is not reasonable for this quality of food. People here commented so true, poor customer service... One of a guy handed me a baguette was so mean. I Don't like their attitude.

I had been meaning to try them for awhile and finally had the chance. Apparently, they have lots of locations out west but this is their only one around here. They weren't crowded around 3pm on a weekday and they have a decent amount of seating but I could see them being crowded at lunch time. Their grilled pork sandwich was excellent with a good amount of pork and toppings (daikon and carrot, onions, jalapenos, and cilantro) with some soy sauce. I ordered mine sans mayo. The bread is fresh baked and is crispy enough to stay together and avoid getting soggy. Portions are large and this sandwich will fill you up. They also have a variety of other baked goods, snacks, coffee drinks, etc. including some Asian/Vietnamese items. I'm glad I checked this place out and I'll be back here for sure. I think they're open from around 7am-midnight so that's lots of time to grab another sandwich sometime.

Limited free parking in front of spot. Accepts both cash and credit card. We were in the area in search of some decent Vietnamese sandwich. We decided to give this place a try. The parking spaces here are extremely small so keep that in mind. Upon walking inside, this place is HUGE. They ha e a space where you can see what appears to be a factory where they make their bread. It was not operating during our visit, but I assume it's used during the day. They offer tons of eating options from sandwiches, snacks, dessert items and coffee / hot drinks. They do have plenty of tables inside the place. Recommend their pork sandwich. The portion size of their sandwiches is longer than other shops. Worth giving this place a try. Also, the staff here are extremely friendly and allowed us to sample certain pastries to get a sense of the food item. Once you order your food, they have a mic where they call out your order number. Seems organized. If you are in the mood for Vietnamese sandwiches, give this place a try.

Absolutely love the banh mi here. The bread is perfect, soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. I bought extra for the next day and kept it overnight in the fridge and it was still the same the next day. The price tag of the banh mi is little high but the quality of it makes up for it. Also the owner or the gentleman in the front was very KIND and approachable. I live an hour from here so his hospitality is a plus. I'm very glad I've discovered this gem 7 years later! Guarantee to be buying my banh mi here now.

We've eaten here a ton ever since they've opened. They have great bread loafs and banh mi, drinks are decent. A lot of the smaller foods are OK, you definitely just come for sandwiches. Bread is fresh and delicious so definitely recommend getting it here. One star knocks off because there's always an incredibly long wait time. Sometimes I'll get half my order after a long wait and one thing is missing that just gets forgotten about, and that adds more time. This seems to be a common occurrence of forgetting parts of the order and then just taking forever. Much faster if you just order plain bread.

Worst customer service ever! My mom ordered 4 vegetarian sandwiches and 2 combination sandwiches as evident on the reciept and sandwiches wrappers. We found out that they gave pork sandwhiches for all our orders after driving 40 minutes home. My mother is vegetarian and cannot eat meat at all. We gave the store a call, Tammy (the owner) picked up and did not even offer a refund. Instead she immediately started arguing with us. We were repeat customers and have been coming here for years since they opened. Her solution was for us to freeze the sandwiches and drive 40 minutes back to the store just so she can switch it for us. Who has time for that?! She then hung up on us. I will never come here again. I cannot support this intolerance.

More like 3.5. It's mostly the iced coffee that is to die for, but also it will f*ck you up (your stomach) LMAO but worth it!! But this is a pretty decent place to get banh mi and other Vietnamese food!

I first tried Lee's sandwiches in California. I was excited to try them again here in Virginia. I would say Lee's sandwiches have the best bread. Along with purchasing sandwiches I also like to buy bread to bring home cause it's so good. They bake them fresh too so it always smells good when they are freshly baked and warm. For the sandwiches, I like getting the special combination (#11) and the grilled pork (#5). They used their freshly baked bread and fill the sandwiches pretty well with the different meats and toppings. Along the line to order and pay, they have fridges with drinks like their signature coffee or they have packages of each ingredient in the sandwich. I like buying the packaged Mayo and pate along with Cha lua. If you want to make it at home, you can also get the different meats or pickled vegetables.

My parents have done carryout from here before, so I've had their sandwiches. However, this was my first dine in experience. I walked in and I was surprised by the menu. It's huge! They have something for everyone: sandwiches, pho, bakery items, and a full coffee and tea menu. This is a great place for groups. The cashier was so friendly. We gave her our huge order: 2 turkey sandwiches, avocado sandwich, veggie banh mi, taro milk tea, matcha green tea, and 3 bakery items. I got the avocado sandwich. The bread is so incredibly fresh. The bread is def the star of this restaurant. At the end of lunch, I went up to buy a baguette to take home but he told me it'd be 25 minutes. I peeked into the back and saw them baking in the oven. So fresh! We were on our way out, so I didn't end up getting it. The matcha milk tea was also my order and I did not love it. I won't get a drink here ever again. They gypped me a lot where it wasn't filled to the top and there was so much ice. It felt like a waste of money cause my drink cost almost as much as 3/4 my sandwich. Normally I would've said "fix this" but it was a lazy Sunday and I didn't have the energy for it. Aside from that, it didn't taste good. Aside from that and that, and that and that, there was a clump of powder on my lid, so it wasn't mixed well. I'll be back, but just for sandwiches and never for drinks.

This place makes me happy. The Banh Mis are GOOD. They taste similar to those made at Eden Center (which is a great thing). They give you a good amount of pickled carrots and all that. I had the Banh Mi Chay, which is the vegetarian one. Man, it's my go-to one and they killed it! And of course, I had to get the Lee's Iced coffee (original). It's strong, just like I like. No other kind of coffee compares. I will say that pricing is pretty high... you can get the same Banh Mi at Eden for $1-2 cheaper and the bottled Coffees at 99 Ranch or Lotte for like $3 cheaper... but uh, not docking a point for pricing as I haven't for other restaurants. As for their precautions for COVID- everything is marked and spaced out. It feels space. There's seating available indoors if you wish but you have to clean up after yourself.

This place itself was fine, as far as the sandwiches go. However, most of the tables were not clean, and the food was overpriced in my opinion. The Arlington location was cleaner, but still overpriced I think. I paid almost twelve dollars for a banh mi sandwich and a small Vietnamese iced-coffee, which was about half ice and half coffee. On top of that, I noticed that the bottled coffees have artificial flavorings, and I think that all natural is the better way to go. Otherwise, the staff were nice and I enjoyed my sandwich, although it would have been nicer if the bread was slightly crunchy.

My dad's favorite place for baguettes. Credit card accepted. Also offers Vietnamese soup and iced coffee. Pate de chaud and banh mi are a must!

Aside from the delicious Vietnamese sandwiches on freshly baked baguettes, I recommend the beef pho. Who would have ever thought a sandwich place would have pho? Not only is their menu pretty extensive with vermicelli dishes, beef stew, sandwiches, etc, their pho broth is actually super flavorful. No you don't get to choose special cuts of beef as it's a standard type of thin beef slices with a couple meatballs, and yes you have to eat it with a disposable spoon that might not hold all your noodles you'd want in one bite, but it's definitely worth a try! Pro tips for their sandwiches: add a fried egg or two to the grilled chicken or grilled pork sandwich! Request it to be cut in half because two sandwiches are better than one! Sandwiches are buy 5 get 1 free. You can ask for the veggies to be separated so they sandwiches don't get all soggy if you don't eat them right away. Their iced coffee is really good and will keep you wired all day. It's a specified amount of coffee in a regular or large so don't expect more coffee if you ask for less ice! Extra brownie points for Lee's being open year round even on Christmas Day. They get super busy then as people come in to buy the plain baguettes by the dozen or half. They have a sign outside that says "always open" but they actually don't open 24/7 anymore :( they close at midnight. Always a great experience with their food and fast service.

I live really close to this Lee's Sandwiches and I really appreciate how accessible it is and how they are usually open for a wide range of times. They have a pretty extensive menu of Vietnamese foods and desserts, but their baguettes are key to their business. The freshly baked baguettes are probably the best around, so they make for a delicious banh mi. Food: - #5 Grilled Pork Banh Mi w/ Paté - This is usually my go-to because I like pork in my banh mi and the paté is a tasty addition. - #11 Special Combination - Also a solid choice, just a combination of cold cuts and paté All the banh mi are so good on the fresh bread with butter, pickled veggies, jalapenos, onion, house mayo and cilantro. Sometimes I also try some of the ché they have in the fridge, but it's not as good as the one at Thanh Son Tofu. My only complaint is that they are a little more pricey than some of the comparable places in the area with the same dishes, but the fresh baguettes are still king .

I eat at this place since when it just open! Like years Everything seen great but not today. Normally the Gentleman serve me very nicely, opposite that is Tammy Nguyen She took my oder and convince me to buy 2 coffees for 1 free. I was glad to take that deal I came back to register to pay and ask her just simple questions ( how much is a bottle of coffee cost? Is it $8.50? She was like: nah! That long time ago and her voice got bigger ( 22 dollars for 3 is even cheaper than $8.50) So!... i just pay for and keep quiet after. Her attitude just pissed me off...

Great transplant from California!!! Lee's sandwiches is the world's largest banh mi chain. So if you enjoy Vietnamese style baguette sandwiches then you're going to love theirs. The price of the banh mi here is about $0.50 more expensive than local rivals, but it's worth it for the taste! Banh mi: The bread tastes phenomenal - as in perfect - the inside of the bread is soft, chewy & fragrant (this makes it stand out from the rest of the local banh mi places). The banh mi dac diet (special combination), nem nuong, and even vegetarian bi chay were all delicious and recommended. The banh mi thit nuong had some tendinous chewy pieces, so if you don't like that, then heed my warning. LEES. Why did I only just discover you just now?! This place is amazing. They used to be 24 hours, but just changed to closing at midnight (so sad I missed this 24 hour miracle). Lee's serves these delicious banh mi sandwiches. I tried the #11 vietnamese standard with dac biet cured meats. The grilled pork also comes highly recommended. The bread is nice, flaky and crunchy! with a soft interior. It's perfectly complimentary to the sandwich meats and pickled radishes + fresh cilantro that comes with it. yum! Their soups, on the other hand, are just so-so - it's on the same level of packaged ramen-level soups but with fresh veg and meat (I mean, there's always a craving for that, but it's nothing compared to the pho or soups available a couple blocks away at Eden Center. You might as well go there for soup.) But Lee's will do in a pinch. I heard amazing things about their iced coffee. But I was craving a bubble tea, so I ordered the avocado smoothie bubble tea. YUM. Delicately creamy and lightly sweet. the bubbles were chewy and great, too. They mostly have smoothie-type of bubble teas made with fresh fruit! (not milk teas). They also have other freshly baked pastries, warm buns and to-go items to buy for home. I will be back. PLUS - the best thing about this place - they play hilllllarious asian martial arts films in the background. Everyone takes a seat and can't take their eyes off of the seriously SO BAD IT'S GOOD cinematic masterpieces, with blood spilling everywhere and kung fu fighting, high-flying warrior ninjas. I love this place.

The first time I went to Lee's sandwiches I had a good experience on the food and service. However, please be watchful for disappointment if you were looking forward to a banh mi sandwich and they run out of all bread by 6pm - 2 hours before they close. We were very disappointed since we drove 45 minutes to get there and no bread and not offering to make anymore. Food is great and service from the head manager is great but only if they have any.

I stopped here for the first time today for a quick lunch since I was waiting for my car to be serviced at the Bill Page Honda across the street. I got the pork bahn mi (#5) and a small bottle of perrier - 500ml. Pro: 1. The baguette was crusty and warm. Not sure if the bread was fresh out of the oven or it it was toasted, but it was nice to bite into a warm, soft and crunchy piece of baguette. 2. The size of the sandwich was decent, about 10" long. 3. There were seatings inside the store. Con: 1. The pork was a bit too greasy for my liking. 2. I think butter was spread inside the sandwich? I had ordered the sandwich without mayo. If I had known about the use of butter then I would've asked them to leave that out too. (Need to watch my waist line, LOL.) 2. There was the standard pickled vegetables in the sandwich, but they didn't make much of an impact at all. I couldn't really taste it. 3. I didn't like the onion in the sandwich. I don't think authentic bahn mi has onions in it, and I'm just not a fan of onion. 4. The price seemed a bit on the high side. $8.49 for the bahn mi, and $3.25 for the small perrier. I might give the shop another try the next time I have to be in the area to service my car.

Add a couple banh mi sandwiches for lunch and you're all set for the rest of your day, until supper. I think people of the DMV can easily say, Banh Mi is to Falls Church as Cheese Steak is to Philadelphia. Every banh mi shop has a special deli meat combo and a grilled pork offering; don't skip out on one, just get both! Ahhh, the perfect lunch or anytime snack! Vietnamese coffee + banh mi = bliss

The best tasty Vietnamese sandwiches and many other Asian food, especially VN food. Excellent customer services. Wish to have more of these quality food places in the DMV area.

This morning 2/24/23 , I came to Lee sandwich ( Annandale) to buy French baguettes which buy 5 get 1 free . I also bought a deep fried pork & got 1 more free baguette. The lady who gave me a deep fried pork said it 's fresh & hot . When I got home &found out the deep fried pork was slimy & smell . Look like it has been out side quite long & they warmed it up & sale to customers. I paid cash & already threw away my receipt. It also take me 25'- 30' to get there to complain. Just want to write my review to let the store workers & customers know about it .They sale the bad quality products, it will be affected to consumers' health .

Customer service is really poor prices fluctuate to benefit them, they like to raise the prices on the spot and have no excuse for it.

I came here with my husband and brother-in-law over the weekend. this place is huge. The owner owns the whole little strip. All if the sandwiches we ordered were delicious. Rispy, freak ingredients and very tasty. The tables could be a bit cleaner and the bathrooms needed to be swept but I enjoyed coming here. I realized I work down the street and I'll be here very often
