I love coming here the meat is fresh. Call the store and they are always very personalble, and know their stuff. The fact that it's locally sourced is a big plus. Letely I've been enjoying some of their freezer products. Pork fat tortillas are the bomb, and the pork fat frioles (refried beans) are soo good.

Best freakin pastrami ive ever had I had my own Anton ego moment, when he takes a bite out of the ratatouille in the restaurant. I shed a tear after I took a small bite, leaving the store, unfolding the parchment paper to reveal the delicate cuts of navel. it's sweet slightly smoky but just perfectly balanced - the peppercorn brings a modest intensity, which goes beautifully with the fatty rim. Go do yourself a favor, and try some of this pastrami.

Exceptional meat products. Nose to tail butchery. Wether your a chef or a home cook, left bank will not disappoint. My go to beef and pork in North Carolina.

My wife and I had our first visit to Saxapahaw with this butcher in mind as a stop and really found it to be a place we will definitely visit again. The owner, Ross, is very down to earth and friendly with lots of knowledge and options in meats. We purchased our meats, left our products in their fridge and freezer, went on a walk by the Haw River, and returned for our pick up. We bought some beautiful, tasty marrow butter along with a number of different meats we've never had before.

I have purchased bacon, pork chops and kielbasa….i would drive an hour for their meats. They are amazing!

Great traditional butcher shop with very nice cuts. They also make a variety of lunch meats on-site...and they are all delicious!

Excellent service and quality highly recommend subscribing to the CSA box each month as they keep it interesting. Love the complete meal they include and recipes for the meats included in the CSA.

Wow we bought so many gorgeous treats here. The handmade sausage was rustic and just lovely to have after all of the other usual kinds I buy at costco; this was super flavorful and the texture was so much better and had a little chunk to it. Skirt steak was delish and we grilled it up; perfect supper. Definitely pick up the frozen Bordelaise sauce cubes to stash in your freezer; we heated it up with butter and glazed our roasted carrots with it; so delish!! They even had little ice packs for us to travel with. Lovely staff. Always love exploring small local markets; you can't go wrong! They are clearly passionate about their craft!

Do yourselves a favor and get their salami. It's the best I've ever had! We stopped in for some cold cuts for a picnic. The owner was so friendly and helped us pick a few sausages.

I've never been in a more beautifully merchandised butcher shop. Every customer stands there gaping at all the beautiful goods and debates, while the incredibly intelligent seasoned butcher team explains in friendly detail each item. Tons of options, even 4 types of sausage and 2 types of bacon. I bought a "foraged" sausage with locally foraged mushrooms and thyme, onion, etc. it's amazing

One bite of the roast beef and I can no longer buy from anywhere else in the area. We also bought some red curry sausages that I can't wait to try. Looking forward to schlepping out here before the High Holidays and Passover so I can get the perfect brisket. Left Bank Butchery, you have ruined me for all meats, but in the best way possible.

Left Bank Butchery would be worth a drive from anywhere in the triangle even if it was the only reason to come Saxapahaw. Especially if you like any of the following, bacon, steaks, pork chops, chicken, cheese, slow food, or locavore culture. All the meat is sourced within 5 miles of the butcher and large posters tell you about the ranches and farms that raise the animals. I had a sample of a ridiculously good bacon syrup topping for hot dogs in the store. We also tried chocolate pork jerky sausages. The best thing we bought however were beautifully marbled pork chops! You should really stop here once a week to get your meat. However it's well worth a one time trip. You can stroll the Haw River bank and check out the restaurant an bar upstairs in the converted historic mill. Must do on a trip to North Carolina's Research Triangle!

Beautifully decorated, homely butcher shop with an obvious local following. Friendly staff that really know their meat and happy to make suggestions. Everything we bought to make at home later turned out fantastic, great flavors on their house made sausages. Great variety of novel flavor blends for the sausage. Other items for sale besides meat that highlight local farmers. Really nice touch to this cute town.

This place is top notch. The food is all great, we love the pimento cheese and sausage. Its local, they are local and they love being part of NC!

Amazing to see the work that goes in to get a piece of meat! I love visiting here being my friend John works here. The setting is very up close and personal so you see everything going on inside the business as a customer. Good selection of meat that is cut freshly in front of you.

Alright, y'all; here is the straight and narrow. The initial service was amazing. The meats are off the chain good. However, upon return to the shop to pick up my order, they had no idea what I had ordered. Luckily, everything I had ordered was in the case, only the ribeye was labelled with my name. The filet and bacon were not and happened to be available. This was an order for my seventeenth wedding anniversary and would have ruined a well planned dinner if they were not in the case. I highly recommend this shop for the quality of the products, but question the organisation and communication between order and pick-up.

Got to be one of the greatest butchers on the East Coast. Awesome staff, totally happy to go above and beyond to get you what you need. Meat is toe-curling good. Part of a great network of people and supply; their pork farm is like 5 minutes away and I've stayed in the AirBnB there, great conditions for the pigs which I'm sure helps the flavor. Even the t-shirts are high quality

The reviews don't lie. I've tried the mortadella, pimento cheese, chicken liver pate and and sausage from here. Everything I've tried is so good that it makes me want to throw a tantrum. They source their meats from local, happy animals so you can feel good about anything you purchase. You can also feel good about it, since they're super nice people. They're doing it right over here.

Best liverwurst I have ever tasted, the only preservative is pink salt. Surprised to even find liverwurst here in NC, let alone the amazing variety. The other fresh meat items offered are local and natural and delicious. So glad that they are walking distance to my house. Brats are a must try, as are the pork chops!

Although I have bought reasonable (though not great) quality meat from this outlet in the past, I will never, ever buy from them again. In what can only be described as a completely self-centered and self-entitled move, the owners decided recently that they were "entitled" to park their full-size pick-up truck, ILLEGALLY, in a non-space next to my family's car. It would have been obnoxious enough if they simply blocked in my wife and me, except for the fact that my 89 year-old mother-in-law, WHO HAD JUST HAD KNEE REPLACEMENT SURGERY, had to squeeze around their truck and struggle to seat herself in our car! ALL WITHOUT SO MUCH AS AN APOLOGY FROM THE "LADY" WHO CAME BACK OUT TO HER TRUCK WHILE WE WERE THERE! IDIOTS, IDIOTS, IDIOTS!

So good, thoughtfully sourced high quality meat. I've been introduced to so many new cuts and recipes from Left Bank. We live very close but whenever I have people visiting I recommend they bring a cooler so they can stock up. This place is a culinary treasure!

Do not give 5 stars easily, but this place deserves it and more. Simply amazing customer service on a very busy afternoon. Outstanding mortadella and I know that bacon is hipster/foodie these days, but possible the best bacon I have ever had. Love that is all done in house. Quality meats, especially the hot dogs, quality people and quality service. Worth the drive and my new favorite butcher shop.

Holy crap. Had a spicy redneck hotdog while leaving the Beach House show at the Haw River Ballroom. Best $7 hotdog I can remember having. Thank you.
