The 6 Best Restaurants & Bars In Catskill, New York 2024 - The Catskills - The Infatuation

"New Yorkers are obsessed with the fact that our state is the second-largest supplier of apples in the US. For this reason, we’d like to nominate that our state drink be changed from milk to cider—and the funky, foraged stuff at Left Bank is a great example of how good alcoholic apple juice can be. Try a flight at their spacious Catskill taproom, and snack on some crudite, nori french onion dip, and local bread." - clare lagomarsino

Google
An excellent experience drinking dry ciders right downtown Catskills. It’s an amazing place that’s really rustic and feels like a vintage bar in London. The seating is comfortable, the bartender kind and helpful, and it’s a gorgeous place to drink a cider and chill out. The food menu was also nice, with the cheese and apples being an excellent snack in combination with the cider flight - the cheese was excellent.

This place is great! We got to chat with the owner for a while, and he was super friendly and enthusiastic. He shared a lot of interesting info about the ciders they make which are surprisingly unique and delicious. We were just visiting the area, but this is clearly a spot that the locals love. I highly recommend stopping in.

Cute little terrace by the river. A short walk from the Catskills marina. GIMLET ON TAP. In a friggin Nick and Nora. So hell yeah to that - I would not recommend going there on an empty stomach: there's food, but it's more "snack" stuff. Would love to go to the place on a chilly fall day and sit by the stove.

I stopped in Left Bank Ciders during the recent snow storm in Catskill NY. I'm not what you would call a cider drinker. However, I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed the uniqueness of their ciders and the overall vibe of the place. They have a nice variety of cider and also carry some NYS beer, wine and spirits. The staff is always friendly and so are the people I've met here. A lot of the fruit used in the ciders are sourced from local farms (orchards) in the area. These folks care about the environment and the product they produce from it. There's plenty of parking and seating (outside/indoor).

Google
Unique take on a variety of ciders. A great vibe, friendly faces, great lighting and the most eclectic music that just keeps you in that relaxed musical astral mode. I tried the 8 flight of ciders. There were some hits and some misses, but now i know what I like for next time. A definite stop on any bar crawl or night on the town.

Left Bank Ciders in Catskill, NY, is a must-visit for cider enthusiasts. Their handcrafted, small-batch ciders and meads truly reflect the rich agricultural heritage of the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains. The tasting room offers a cozy atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. During my visit, I enjoyed a cider flight that showcased a diverse range of flavors, each with its own unique character. The staff was knowledgeable and passionate, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Left Bank Ciders is a delightful spot to relax and savor some exceptional ciders.

Yelp
Awesome cidery in Catskill! I visited on a Sunday and was excited to see they offer a flight with all of their ciders. It was a fantastic way to try everything. I was also pleasantly surprised that I liked almost every single one of them. My favorite was the currant cider - it was so good! The bartender was so friendly and welcoming. He also checked back frequently to see how we liked everything and to see if we needed anything. The space is beautiful and has such a cozy atmosphere. You can sit at the bar, at a booth or one of their long communal tables. Highly recommend Left Bank Ciders!

Yelp
Up in the Western Catskills, I went out of my way to stop at this hard cider hot spot. Ambiance: This place is really cool and trendy! Inside reminds me of a wine cellar and outside there's a covered patio where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset. If you sit outside, bring your pup . This is a dog friendly establishment! Plus they have water dishes available to keep your dog hydrated. Drinks: The cider is served out of wine bottles so I had to try the sampler of everything! It was an exciting experience! Most of the ciders remind me of a wine compared to cider brands like angry orchard and reds. It's hard to describe what the ciders taste like, I've never had anything like it before. So you have to come here and try it for yourself. Service: When you walk in, I recommend heading straight to the bar. Ask your bartender for a recommendation and if you're lucky you'll receive a free sample. Overall: This is a great spot for a night cap, a date or just meeting up with friends. Anyone with a hard cider obsession like me needs to check this place out.

Yelp
Came in on a day after it rained. There is tons of seating, inside and out. I enjoyed a cider flight and even got to take a bottle of my favorite one home. A good spot for an upstate cider visit.

Yelp
Left Bank Ciders is a cute spot to hang out if you live in the area or visiting. We tried the flight of eight ciders, which was all of their offerings. Unfortunately we didn't like any of them. They are trying to be different with their ingredients, like mushrooms, but the flavors just didn't work.

Yelp
I've been twice. The grog is fab and the snack plate was yummo. The inside is grotto-cozy and the outside is fun! My only uh-oh is the overwhelming smell of mildew when you walk in the building...but that's what you get living on the creek in an ancient, and cool, building!

Yelp
Great cidery! People are friendly and they have a great variety of ciders, beer, and wines. Highly recommend you stop by if you are in town.

Yelp
Great little cute place on the River. Outside sitting area and really cute inside. Ciders were yummy. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
New spot opened up. What a great treat. The staff was brilliant and decor was great. The cider..... can't wait for my return. I had the flight and chose after it to have an old gold. Love to see new fresh places. Will soooo be back with friends.

Yelp
Great location off of Main Street. Warm and cozy basement feeling. Great bartender (is that what you call them at a cider?) gave us info on what we were drinking since we are craft brew snobs and not educated on apples. Tasting room was Covid friendly, clean and somewhat lit. Ciders weren't bad considering I'm not a cider guy. Brick facade, off street parking, creek view, outdoor seating when weather permits. TIP: Walking distance from amazing brewery at Crossroads Brewing tasting room. They also have a selection. Of craft beers for you none fruitaterians. (Is that a word?) Great addition to Catskill. Personal Tip: Walking (crawling) distance to my boat!

Yelp
All of the ciders were so delicious. Beautiful space in such a cute downtown area near the water. Would definitely come back. Next time would take something to go.

Yelp
Cool tap room! Rustic basement-like ambience that was really cozy on a rainy day. I didn't love the ciders but enjoyed the place.

Yelp
Nice and open seating area with plenty of ciders, beer and wine to choose from. They have a good combination of traditional apple ciders mixed with unique ciders as well as other fruit ciders. They don't have food other than popcorn but do encourage bringing in outside food. There are tons of options nearby.

Yelp
Great cider and great vibes. Perfect for chilling outside on a beautiful night. So many great ciders to try. Get a flight so you can try more of them! My favorite of the night was the "Hudson" followed by Sharp Tongue or one other I already forgot the name of. The bartender was super helpful and shared lots of fun cider/apple facts. My girlfriend really liked the Spyser so we ended up taking a bottle home. I also got a bottle of Old Gold which I'm excited to try. I'd definitely come back to hang out next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Was a great visit, lots of great coders and a few beers and wines too. Bartender had great recommendations and they did a great job with Covid considerations, there was 3-4 groups in the space with us and it was enough to be comfortable

Yelp
No food trucks when they posted there were online. No food at all really, to be honest. Got the cider flight and every single cider was gross. We left extremely disappointed. Would not come back.
