Very busy Sunday AM, but Left Bank is efficient. Went in to pick up some treats for a group knowing everything would be fresh and decadent. The croissants- all fantastic we got almond, raspberry and chocolate this time, both are stunningly good, flaky crust, with a tender chewy interior. The almond ones are Simply excellent. The cream swan was well liked as well. We picked up some for the family too, and were awash in delicious pastry for several days. Portland’s Stump-town coffee, is just right too, strong and smooth.

Google
Service was friendly. I was too sick to make my own birthday cake which is something I enjoy doing so we thought we’d grab a few desserts. Most of them were quite delicious, the Opera cake was a bit lacking in flavor and texture. My kids didn’t care for the passion fruit tart but I thought it was delicious. The atmosphere, though clean and airy was quite sterile. They could really play up the Parisian theme and do something a bit more inviting.

Google
Amazing Patisserie !! Found this just looking for coffee, but discovered some very reasonably priced decadent treats... Wonderful service with a smile I highly recommend a visit soon !! P.s. there might be a line out the door, although- Well worth the wait

Erin Harris

Google
Beautifully decorated patisserie shop with incredible pastries. We stopped in today and got an assortment of pastries, but haven’t tried them all yet. We had a strawberry macaron, a coconut macaron, and a cinnamon sugar donut that was INCREDIBLE. My son’s face says it all - possibly the best donut I’ve ever had, ever. The macarons were solid too, the coconut was my favorite of the 2. I also have a raspberry and passion fruit tart and an almond Paris-Brest to try. I live about 45 minutes away, but I will be back.

Google
One of the best bakery places in Olympia, Washington. Friendly atmosphere. Great selection of French baked goods. Friendly staff. Parking outside is limited. Seating inside is a bit limited. The place is vibrant and busy on a Saturday morning. This is our first time here and my wife and I are impressed.

Jesse Stillwaugh

Google
This place is sooo good the atmosphere is clean, hip, relaxing. I purchased 4 croissants as well as the items featured below. the croissants would be better if they were warmed up and one of their pastries tasted like refrigerator but every single other item knocked it out of the park. my favorite was the apricot and rasberry croissant. try this place out!

Google
Great place to sip some coffee and enjoy some pastries!! Came here to study one time and decided will be my favorite place to go do that from now on 💕 also, they used Stumptown Coffee!!! The only coffee we use at home.

Molly Smithies

Google
Their pastries are very good and reasonably priced. I’d definitely recommend coming by in the morning as they can sell out quickly. Their fruit and nut bostock and canele are both dream worthy - always a great stop!

Yelp
Me like baked goods. Baked goods sold here. Long line but move fast. Not many seating. Palmier have some chew. Me like. Bacon and caramelized onion quiche make tummy happy. Me like. Pear and almond tart make mouth happy. Me like. Pain suisse. Macaron. Coffee ok. Me ok.

Lan V.

Yelp
A modern simple pastry cafe spot, great for meeting for a quick hangout or study session. Not a lot of pastries to choose from but a good variety. Ended up getting the pretty cream, puff swan, the raspberry passionfruit tart, and the flourless chocolate baked good. Service was great and pretty fast. Pastries were also reasonably priced. Highly recommended the raspberry passionfruit tart the most, unique combined flavors and not too sour.

Liz C.

Yelp
Quick service and pretty good coffee. Very nice pastries and my ham & cheese croissant was tasty.

Johnny G.

Yelp
When you walk into the Left Bank Pastry shop, you can speak French fluently. Just kidding, but it truly feels like you have been transported to a classic French bakery. Classy, ornate, and diverse is the best way to describe this glorious space dedicated to goodies. While the staff was attentive, it was the care that was put into packaging our delicate sugary treasures. Before I start with the desserts, the coffee was dark and rich...perfect for the adventure we were about to take. I chose the cream puff swan. The breading was soft like a cloud but just hard enough on the outside...a bit of a salty taste that when paired with the light/sweet whipped cream...it was perfect. My wife chose the strawberry chocolate tart. OBVIOUSLY, there was a strawberry cream on top, but the chunks of strawberry hidden inside of the chocolate cream pie...I felt like captain Jack Sparrow when he finds the treasure. 10/10

Yelp
Amazing pastries and love the ambiance. I didn't sit down but would love to some day. So good!

Carol C.

Yelp
I have visited Left Bank Pastry two consecutive Sundays now; the 1st visit was at 4:00 pm and the 2nd visit was at 10:30 am. It's better to go earlier for a wider selection, which also means you may be met with a line out the door, but not to fret. The line does go by quickly. Thank you Marie, fellow Yelp Elite, for putting this on my radar last year. My favorite items are the ham & cheese croissant and the kouign-amann, which was a dense version and still enjoyable. My daughter enjoys the eclair and madeleines and the husband enjoys the shortbread cookies. It's a great spot in Olympia to stop by for pastries and coffee.

Lora K.

Yelp
First rate French Pastries in Olympia WA in a beautiful space to enjoy with friends! Try the Kougin Aman and many other delicious artisan treats. You will be delighted! Service at counter is courteous and fast paced since they are well loved and there might be a short line.....worth it of course!

Raylynn S.

Yelp
Delicious! Super cute inside. The line gets pretty long but moves fast, seating is decent but fills up fast. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Eric S.

Yelp
Really good - we would go here regularly if they were close to our home. Solid ham and cheese croissant (could be a little more flakey) and my husband loved his chocolate raspberry tart. Drip coffee was nice. We'll see how the cube dessert is tonight

Emonie M.

Yelp
The drinks are eh but the pastries are so delicious. I've had 3/5 of their quiche flavors and they were all amazing. The seating is hard to get when they are busy (which is always).

Clare P.

Yelp
Delicious pastries! Came here on a saturday morning and the line was out the door, but moved fairly quickly. we picked out a few pastries, the girl behind the counter was helpful in answering our questions. we ordered 3 pastries and two coffees (drip + a mocha). the pastries were delicious! the coffee was okay, the mocha tasted mostly just like hot chocolate and the cup of drip coffee was okay but was filled only about 1/2-3/4 of the way. would definitely return for pastries! but there are plenty of better options around for coffee

Angela D.

Yelp
How does anyone give this place less than 5-stars. Even if the service is slow, or cranky, or chaos...IT DOESN'T MATTER! The pastries are worth whatever gauntlet you must run. They are unique and amazingly delicious. So. There you go.

David C.

Yelp
Sad to report this, but, came in for a couple pastries and a latte around 3pm, and the server refused to serve me a latte because "we stopped serving espresso today". When I asked why, the answer was "we're closing soon, so we shut the machine down for cleaning". I asked them why they would shut down their coffee machine if they're shop is still open? " it takes a while to clean". I opted to leave instead of buying anything because this is the third time I've come in to support this small business, and the same employee has done the same thing, unable to serve me coffee with a pastry because they shut the machine off early. After leaving, I saw her through the window laughing with another employee about the situation. The employee's said her name is Eleanor. The most unprofessional behavior I could ever imagine, as a store owner I would be mortified to find my employees treating customers this way. Will NEVER return to this store, and will tell others to stay away as well, unless the owner decides to rectify this situation. Completely disgraceful service.

Anonymous R.

Yelp
Delicious food & drinks, great service, and wonderful ambience! My whole family loves this local gem!!

Marina C.

Yelp
This chocolate croissant slapped me in my face so hard. It was the best one I have ever had in my life. It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Not too sweet. The chocolate tart can kick rocks though. Not a fan at all but their croissants are banging. Like straight banging. The macaroon also a slap. So those two things get 5 stars. Everything else can go away it's not needed

Noureena M.

Yelp
When you have to give five stars you just have to do it. The ambience is on point the taste and quality of the pastries as well as the tea and coffee is next level. Service was kind and patient. People are rolling through this place and now I know why but I preferred to sit a bit and enjoy. It's just a place that its value is in the enjoyment of sitting and taking in all that it has to offer. Definitely coming back I had the quiche with roasted red pepper and goat cheese. The crust was light and flaky, the cheese was mild and the pepper a great accompaniment. I also had the turkey pesto croissant which was delicate yet held up perfectly. I enjoyed it with a London fog that was smooth and creamy made with quality tea. Great find absolutely great find.

Toshi L.

Yelp
Their pastries are very tasty. The location was in the middle of a main road, so it was kind of hard to park. When you enter, if there's a line- it gets pretty crammed because where you order is close to where you enter. The place is very modern looking, and clean. I got an iced chai latte with my cinnamon crossiant. The drink was okay- watered down slightly. The pastry though.. was amazing!!! it reminded me of the center of a cinnamon roll. I also tried their most popular pastry: Kouign Mann. To describe the taste and texture, it was a crystallized flaky croissant with a sweet sugary taste. I thought it was okay, I preferred the cinnamon croissant better! But you should definitely give it a try. Their items were pretty limited because I believe they make a certain amount and day. If you're looking for a sweet treat while in the area, check this place out!

Earnie G.

Yelp
We stopped here both directions on a recent Seattle to Portland drive. What a great discovery. Superb pastries. Okay coffee. They have seating if you want to eat there, and the space is pretty and clean. Definitely worth a stop if passing through on I5. Locals should be all over this place.

Chrs G.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic, I wish they would open a Puyallup location so I could go more. The pumpkin tart was delightful, cranberry Boston amazing, wonderful apricot danish, and quiche, I highly recommend them and can't wait to visit again soon.

Danielle S.

Yelp
Stopped in on our way to Oregon... Totally worth the extra 15 mins! So many delicious options, it was hard to choose. I will definitely come back to try more goodies. My kids loved their treats and hot chocolate! The pastry shop was sparsely decorated, very cleanly white, like almost hospital sterile. Not bad by any means, just not my aestic.

Kathy M.

Yelp
Today I went to the Leftbank. The line went outside. They were short staffed, but these servers never lost their cool or got grumpy. They were professional and happy. I'm giving the Left Bank 5 stars on Yelp. I wish we could all be like them. The pastries were delectable. The ambiance great. I'll definitely be back

Ivana N.

Yelp
Had their Kouign-Amann...excellent. Wanted to try their Eclaire and Paris-Breast but they were TINY.

Bunny D.

Yelp
Friendly and inviting service! Ample parking and lots of seating in a bright and clean area. I got a variety of pastries and enjoyed the kouign-amann with a drip coffee. My pastry was perfectly balanced with sweet, salt, flake, chew and of course delightfully buttery!

Adelie S.

Yelp
This place is beyond incredible - it's like the Mecca of beautiful, high quality French pastries. We ordered a wide mix of pastries and absolutely everything was delicious, from the Kouign Aman to the strawberry croissant donut. Oh and those cube croissant pastries filled with fresh homemade jam were to die for. The high ceilings, beautiful warm lights, arch detailing on the wall, super cute booth seats - the ambience of the cafe is elegant and literally every Instagrammer's dream come true (but please, let's keep the instagrammers out so that the place doesn't get any more crowded than it already is!). 15/10 will be back the next time we're in Olympia. Now they just need to open a branch on the Eastside!

Chris B.

Yelp
Their Kouign Aman are worth flying to Seattle, renting a car, braving I-5 and its crazy drivers from SeaTac to Olympia... just for one of their little bits of heaven. Don't believe me, huh? If ours was a just world, this little bakery would be listed as one of the top bakeries in the United States. Seriously. Maybe in the top 100. Or top 50. They are that good.

Sara G.

Yelp
There is a reason there is usually a long line out the door. Pastry is the same as what you buy in France.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Exquisite pastries and excellent customer service, all in one dazzling space - is what you will find at left bank. I stopped in with relatives while I was visiting and was immediately impressed by the warm welcome from the counter staff and the beauty of the pastries in the cases. Things just continued to improve upon tasting the beautifully crafted items I selected - perfect in form and flavor, we enjoyed these with absolutely zero crumbs left behind.

Analeeze R.

Yelp
My Apple turn over is great. My wife loved her passionfruit tart & the service was nice. Thanks yall

Sylvie K.

Yelp
Wonderful place to enjoy French pastries! Bright, clean, and cheerfully French style ambience. Friendly service from the cashiers as well as the baristas and staff serving the pastries. Simply wonderful!

Nija M.

Yelp
Whenever I visit Olympia I always go to get Paris-Brest. It's the best I ever had in WA. But this time. What is this?!?! So wrong safeway tasting cream... and the size?! I guess if it would be marked for $2,99... Still love this place tho. Hopefully original pastry comes back.

Kayleigh W.

Yelp
Looks new. Clean. A little bare. Large seating area. Delicious Kouign-amann. Perhaps the best I've ever had. The person at the cash register was nice. I'd go back.

Alicia S.

Yelp
Yum! The atmosphere and beautiful, delicious, high-end pastries combine to make me feel like a tourist in my hometown. You can't go wrong with any choice. Don't miss it!

Amanda C.

Yelp
Once again the ambiance is unbeatable and the pastries delicious! The workers are always happy to share their favorites and recommendations! If you haven't been, check it out! Their shortbread and croissants are unbeatable. My husband tried the Pain Suisse today and we both LOVED it! Very tasty! We took our wedding photos here before because of the beautiful interior. Lots to love about left bank

Holly H.

Yelp
I don't understand all the hype. All the dough was croissant dough even the donut. And they forgot two of our items. When you're paying $32 for 4 things (because 2 were left out) that's a ripoff but even $32 for 6 things would be. The one chocolate pastry item that they remembered to bag was bland and a bit underwhelming.

B H.

Yelp
AMAZING PRODUCTS! Phenomenal selection, friendly service, and delicious offerings. We tried nearly one of everything ;) including the gluten free options. Highly recommend and I look forward to visiting here again next time I'm in the area.

Thomas R.

Yelp
Vas-y!

K. P.

Yelp
Not for me. The balance and flavor levels was not my style. My partner enjoyed everything he got though

Tyler P.

Yelp
Their food and coffee are The absolute best. Service is middling, a bit snooty for me Their facility SUCKS. Cold, uninviting and crazy loud and it leaves people in line standing outside in the cold and rain.

Rok J.

Yelp
Very slick, modern, clean boutique bakery. Staff was friendly & professional. Prices are a bit high, but are commensurate with quality of the pastries, which is *very* high. We got a spinach quiche, pain Suisse, star shaped berry croissant, and a chocolate croissant. The two croissants were deliciously rich with hyper buttery taste & super flaky texture. Pain Suisse had a distinctly egg note in the flavor profile & a more dense bread like texture. The quiche was tender in both the filling & the crust, plus had well developed flavor. Total ringout was $16.50 after tax. So not bad for a richly tasty breakfast for two people.

Brianna M.

Yelp
My absolute go to spot when I'm in town visiting family!! My sister introduced Left Bank Pastry to me a year or so ago and I haven't turned back since. The service is always amazing and the pastry's are fresh and yummy. They recently must've had a remodel and moved locations to a bigger space which is great! Now there's room to sit and dine in which I will have to try next time I'm in town. My must-have pastry I grab every time I visit is the Kouign Amann. SOOO good! The perfect combination of salty and sweet. My nephews love the cream puff swans as well. If you're in the area and love macarons make sure to grab some, the flavors change every day! Already craving Left Bank and can't wait for my next visit!

Mario M.

Yelp
Amazing pasties and the thing is you got to arrive early early to get the best or they're gone by the time you arrive just any outstanding pastry store

Kathryn A.

Yelp
This is my favorite pastry shop. They make the best croissants and quiches. I love being able to purchase their individual quiches. For those eating in, the space is bright and quiet, and the tables well spaced allowing for comfortable conversations or a bit of work.

Barbara K.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious Kouing Amman. The women who helped me were so kind and generous. I will definitely be back! Best bakery in Olympia!

Eddie J.

Yelp
Left Bank Pastry is my favorite patisserie in Olympia. If you're looking for French inspired treats, then head over and try the Kouign Amann, my absolute favorite! Dine in or take away, a trip to Left Bank is absolutely worth it! I'd also recommend pairing your pastry with one of their espresso drinks, using coffee beans from local roaster Bluebeard Coffee in Tacoma.

Erna C.

Yelp
Amazing pastries with a cute little indoor cafe set up here! Last time we came here we got a box full of different treats, but I have to say the cheese crossaint is my favorite. Get there early enough or place your order ahead of time online if you don't want to miss out on all the good stuff. They sell out fast.

Watts G.

Yelp
Food was good not omg but good I only got the swam and the quiche I feel like it shoulda been cooked a lil more. Service was fair although I could of sworn I said iced but I asked for a mocha and it tasted so bad I couldn't even drink it, it had a burning taste to it or maybe they don't clean the spout where the coffee is coming from but it didn't even taste bitter like black coffee just burnt. If I go back it MIGHT BE for the pastries I don't understand the hype. We didn't wait long inside so we got here on a good day at a good time during the day on Wednesday and there was a lot of seating this day so it made the ambience quiet but me coming back not sure.

Alex K.

Yelp
Absolutely love the place! Clean & cute! Would absolutely come again! Pastries were amazing! I love the fact that it's not too sweet (so rare theses days). Ham & cheese croissant is too notch! Coffee - good coffee! I wish they had some signature drinks for coffee to stand out! Good quality beans and still better than Starbucks! Service was welcoming as well and the fact that they can bring out food to the table is really nice touch

I'm That G.

Yelp
I love their pastries!!! They're pricey but well worth it! They provide great customer service as well. Come early as they sell out on certain items.

Willie A.

Yelp
Greatest bakery in the country. Not hyperbole. I've been to many many. I've never had a bad experience and the line around the corner is justified. Lemon meringue. Croissants. Quiches. Well, just everything on the menu. Each item tastes and looks and feels like it was given hours of attention and care. If bread items and baked sweets can be considered works of art, here you go. Buttery, sweet, savory, crispy, flaky, soft, tart, nutty, fruity, cheesy, whatever you're looking for you'll find it to complete satisfaction.
