Big fans of Left Coast! We have never had a meal that wasn't exceptional. The Poseidon Fries are the best appetizer! Fries topped with fresh crab, capers and a lemon aiolie! 😋 The service is always really good and the owner is very nice. They also have options for people that don't enjoy seafood.

Easy review. This place boasts a great ambiance, good food and drinks, and even better service. Shanna was our server and bartender; she was so nice and so attentive. I would totally come back again just to have their seafood risotto and seafood pasta!

I can't get enough of this place! Seafood, beef, veggies -- it's all fantastic. The tap list includes Russian River and you can never go wrong with that. Service is fantastic as well. The prices are completely reasonable given the quality of everything. Highly, highly recommend.

I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Lobster 🦞 mac-n-cheese is delicious 😋. Scallop risotto is heavenly 😋. The dessert 🍨 was amazing. Very busy for Saturday night, but they made room for us at 7 pm the prime hour. Can't say a single bad word. Second visit, equally exquisite. Met the owner Matt, a great guy. He's training a fantastic head chef, Noah, young, but very capable. Outstanding service and caring folks. Delicious food 😋

The linguini with clams was incredible, the sauce was just fantastic. They also have Russian River beers and a nice outdoor seating area. I highly recommend this spot and I will definitely go back soon.

First time here on a Friday night. It was packed! Luckily, we got in before the crowd showed up. Ordered 2 of the rock cod. Amazing! Cooked well and very delicious. 2 salmon...also delicious. Short ribs were amazing too. Crab dip. Calamari. The beet salad was amazing! Had 2 of the amazing bread pudding. Cheesecake. Creme brulee and apple fried thing. The best was the bread pudding. We sat outside. They turned on the heaters for us. Would definitely be back for more!

I got a special treat for Father’s Day, a chance to try a new restaurant and see all of my children and their significant others. Our county seat is in Ukiah and this restaurant is on the north side downtown. It is an interesting area with good food and shopping. This location is fun and bright and had a great deal of activity. We were greeted and quickly sat. My kids are full of questions and the staff handled them wonderfully. We tried a diverse sense of meals Rock Cod Picatta, my son’s choice was crisp, perfectly cooked and fabulous. My eldest and her husband had the seafood tower, it was amazing and super fresh like it was just caught that day. The filet my daughter had was cooked to perfection, rich and hearty with tasty scallops. Her BF had the seafood bake which reminded me of boils from the south, it was a meal fit for a king. I am a fan of short ribs and they are one of the most underrated of meats, plus probably tough to cook by how different they can be. LeftCoasts were tender and able to be separated by a fork alone, a super choice. I had the lobster tale and split it between my kids. I was told this was an offshoot of Scoma’s, a place I would not miss when I was in San Francisco, this Ukiah jewel has joined that list. I totally forgot about what I liked best from the experience and 🫵 might all laugh, but I’m infatuated with French Fries. A must for you to order here is the Poseidon Fries which we devoured in less than a minute. ❤️

My husband and I were hunting for a good seafood restaurant while on our visit from Salem, Or. He found this gem and made a reservation. We were a little early, but they still sat us and tended to our needs right away. Sarah was our server and she was phenomenal. Everything we ordered was outstanding, from the oysters on the half shell to the Poseidon fries to start. Then the lobster risotto with scallops cooked to perfection that I ordered and my husband’s stuff salmon filet were all so delicious, I almost hurt myself trying to finish my meal. We ordered their GF apple fritter donuts to go and were delighted to see they included a delicious dark chocolate sauce to go with them. Their cocktails were delicious and generously poured. We have no complaints and nothing but praise for their amazing food, hearty portions, and friendly staff. Thank you for making our vacation date night something to remember!

Best dinner meal ever in a Ukiah restaurant! It started with the perfect smoky maple Old Fashioned, followed by the fried calamari appetizer and a cup of their delicious clam chowder. For the main plate, the Shrimp and Scallops a La Plancha was absolutely superb. The mashed potatoes were perfect and the veggies were the freshest, especially the huge asparagus spears. The seating outside in the covered area added to the small town ambience. Service was excellent and very attentive. A bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it for a special dinner. Definitely 5 stars. I am already planning to return soon.

Great pasta dishes ! The fish sandwich is awesome. You get a lot of fish for the price. Waiter is really nice and fast. Music was mellow and the restaurant is very clean.

Dropped by for an early dinner. The bartender lady got me in (she is a firecracker. Good personality). I was seated pretty quickly after. I got a window seat for some typical solo tracker people watching activity. I went with the highly recommended items. Beet salad, seafood pasta, 2 glasses of brut rose. Beet salad was great! Love the flavor combination and also the plating. Super pretty. The seafood pasta was great. Pasta got a good bite to it and seafood was fresh. I had a nice chat with Heidi. She is the mother of the head chef. She is one proud mama and super fun to chat with. She recommended the bread pudding and I got it. Lovely. It is a little on the dense side but the lemon cut through the heaviness and make it balanced. I really enjoyed it here. Overall, I enjoyed ukiah in general. Good food scene (better than Mendocino) and just nicer people all around. Would like to come back again.

Came here with a party of 6, a toddler and a baby on a weekday! We got the following: * Fried Calamari - Deep fried squid, lemon aioli, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and lemon. * Crab Dip Dungeness crab, butter, cream, parmesan, asiago, garlic, shallots, smoked paprika, salt, lemon, and chives (3) sourdough crostini * 8oz Hanger Steak Sliced with chimichurri, truffle mash, and seasonal vegetables * Lobster Meat Risotto with Sautéed mushrooms, shallots, spinach, cherry tomatoes, cream, and parmesan * FRUITTI DI MARE SEAFOOD PASTA - Fresh linguini with clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and lobster meat x 2 one with red sauce and the other one Alfredo. * CRÈME BRULÉ with creamy vanilla custard, with a sugar torched top not pictured: * Left Coast ciopinno with gulf shrimp, bay scallops, fresh fish, picked crab meat, clams and mussels in a tomato broth served with grilled sourdough bread * Linguini & Clams - Classic Italian style Pasta con Vongole, 1/2 lb. clams, garlic, white wine, olive oil, lemon juice, parsley and red chili flake * Apple Donuts - Gluten free apple donuts served with chocolate dipping sauce I'm knocking a star down because our waitress asked us if we wanted a refill during our meal but then forgot to do it so we had to flag someone down at the bar. Our waitress was shooting the shit in the front. Service was fine in the beginning but a bit towards the end , it was like she gave up on our table. Service was not top notch and we left before closing time. I would come back for the food but don't expect much from the waitstaff.

We had high hopes for this place. They, probably like many restaurants, are suffering from worker shortages in service and the kitchen. As a result, patrons wait longer than necessary to be served. We started with their El Jefe cocktail, which was a poblano-infused tequila with hibiscus. It was delicious and the presentation was lovely. They also offered some Anderson Valley Wines on special for 9$/glass. They were excellent value. The menu is delightful. The Caesar salad was delicious. Just a hint of anchovy in the dressing. The dish was elevated by the addition of a small amount of lemon zest. It really elevated the dressing. And the Parm on top was so finely grated, it appeared as the finest dusting of downy feathers. Just delicious. We ordered the clam chowder. While I appreciate that this one wasn't loaded with bacon, its mire poix base left it tasting a little acidic, as well as over-salted. Crab cakes contained very little actual crab, too much breading and not very flavorful. I ordered the hanger steak. It was cooked perfectly. I decided to make it surf-and-turf by the addition of scallop for 5 dollars. When my plate arrived, it had a single, quarter-sized scallop. Like maybe almost a tablespoon. I should have read the fine print. Scallop means just one. One teeny tiny one. I can't knock the flavor; just the price. Five dollars for a tablespoon of scallop. That equals about 160$/lb. There were also truffle mashed garlic potatoes. Those also were over-salted. The green beans were delicious and the second best item on the plate. All in all, there is a combination of hits and misses. Not sure we will be back. A real pity considering this restaurant's ratings.

Seafood was really good here! I got the vongole (linguini and clams) and asked for light lemon because I'm not a big fan of lemon, especially not in that light sauce. It was really tasty and came with a lot of fresh clams! Friends shared some apps that they liked. Two friends got the frutti di mare (seafood pasta), and both liked it a lot. One got red sauce, one got Alfredo, but both came with a ton of seafood. The kids menu has a grilled fish option that comes with rice and green beans, and it was honestly a nice healthy option that looked delicious. Crème brûlée dessert was tasty, but that's a hard one to mess up. The inside is cute, and they have a back room that can be private or semi private for a big group. Two single restrooms in back hallway. Service was friendly but not the best I've had. Our server forgot a refill of soda, but we were able to get a bartender's attention and got it eventually. Service might've been less good towards the end of dinner because they might've wanted to go home which is understandable. Overall, food was great and would come again next time I'm up north!

When on a recent trip passing through Yreka, I was hungry for seafood so the reviews of Left Coast seafood looked pretty good so I decided to give it a try. The crabcake appetizer was awesome and the seafood cioppino was delicious. A couple of margaritas served by the friendly staff completed a memorable dining experience. The seafood was fresh and prepared beautifully, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went here for a date night with my partner and had a great experience. We sat outside even though it was a summer evening, it was surprisingly chilly, but our server noticed right away and turned the heater up for us without us even asking. We started with drinks (obviously) and split a bowl of clam chowder, which was creamy, flavorful and hit the spot. For mains, he got the halibut special and was seriously impressed. I had the rock cod piccata, and wow it was delicious. I was worried the capers might be overpowering but everything was perfectly balanced.Service was super attentive, food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh. We wanted dessert but were way too full to even try. Definitely recommend for a relaxing night out great seafood, chill vibe, and really thoughtful service.

I was visiting from Santa Cruz for my dad's birthday. We had Excellent Food AND Service. The ambiance was superb as well. We all had different things. My dad's scallops, shrimp, and potatoes looked bomb and I know he liked the vegetables too. My niece's pasta (alfredo?) looked so good too. She's a picky eater and she grubbed. French fries yum! Crab cakes and ceviche were fine. Arugula salad good too. The creme brûlée was fire. My two special tequila drink were beautiful, a bit sweet for me but still sooo yummy. I especially like the smoky one and the pretty black salt rim. Oh AND they brought my dad a free desert (his choice.) So sweet! Oh service was slow if that matters a ton but it was a Saturday night 6pm service. Special place for a special dinner. Thanks Left Coast!! Had a wonderful time!!

Inconsistency in the same dishes and overall overpriced for the quality. $7 for 3 extra pieces of crostini is ridiculous. Crab dip was mostly cheese and the second round was much spicier than the first - inedible for a spice sensitive individual. The seafood pasta was ordered by 3 of our group and one member had significantly less on their plate. Tasted good but to do one scallop, one shrimp, one crab for the dish... really? Calamari was over-salted. Halibut special was good. Risotto was good. Food took longer than average to come out. Couldn't do special additions to dishes without paying full price for those dishes (e.g. adding a little fish to a kids pasta without paying the full price of the fish dish). The patio seating was nice until they sat a table next to us. Super close seats, almost touching them sitting a normal distance back from the table. Overall, it was ok. Probably won't be going back.

Yup food, drink, service, value still excellent. We both ordered the fruitti di mare seafood pasta, alfredo. When it came out, it wasn't creamy the way it was last year and we were worried. But when we dug in, it did not disappoint (though I think I still liked it better creamy). Buttery, salty, and with a fair amount of perfectly cooked and tender seafood. The mendo mule was even better this time. Gingery, smooth, sweet. I think the smoked whiskey was also as good as last year, though my partner said it was a little too strong this time. The seasonal pomegranate with sparkling champagne was fine, but I don't think I need to get it again. It is exactly as described: pomegranate juice mixed with a mildly sweet bubbly. Also served with pomegranates at the bottom (I was like a raven with a stick "skillfully" getting those out with a knife ). And for the grande finale we both had a slice of tiramisu. Just like it was last year, and since then I've tried several tiramisus at other places and they just didn't live up to this one! Smooth, soft, not dry or weirdly cakey, every layer flavorful and just moist enough. Ukiah rules

We were on our way to see the Red wood's national forest and were hungry. Yelped recommended this place, a place of seafood and steak so it was a clear choice. We tried their dozen of oysters, hanger steak, and slow roasted short ribs. They were AMAZING! The quality was definitely there. The mash potatoes were perfectly creamy, smooth, there was a subtle yet delicious. The oysters were very fresh, nicely shucked, clean, and have a sweet briny taste. Steaks were well seasoned, just delicious. We liked the short ribs more.

Excellent service and excellent food. Friend recommended this place. So glad we stopped. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had the Parmesan crusted scallops and my husband had the seafood pasta in white wine sauce. Great recommendation.

Second time here - ate outside and enjoyed the great food and weather! Enjoyed the crab dishes.

We loved our meal here! We stopped in mid afternoon and ended up eating a huge early dinner. The crab cakes were some of if not the best I've ever had. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. My husband had a cod piccata which was boldly paired with a squash medley and I had a warm beet salad. Jacoby took great care of us. Our only complaint--not their fault--is we could taste the chlorine in the water.

Delicious (and generous portion of) halibut fish and chips; outstanding service. Nice outdoor patio.

We had wanted to try this place for a while but should have gone somewhere else. The waiter was really nice but had way too many customers for good service. I ordered bruschetta expecting a few pieces and 2 very small pieces is what we got, The mushroom ravioli was so extremely salty I couldn't eat it. My son and husband tried it and said the same thing. My son's linguini and clams was also painfully salty. Husband got the fish and chips and said that it was good. We really should have said something but they were busy and I didn't want to be annoying. We had one order of bruschetta, One linguini and clams, One ravioli, One fish and chips, Two alcoholic drinks and it was over $200.. We definitely won't go back.

I've been here a few times and everything that I've tried has been amazing. The seafood pasta is to die for. The service is always great too, even when they get busy.

This is our second time at Left Coast, and the service is greatly. We loved the food as well as the atmosphere. Recommend for sure, one of the better restaurants in Ukiah.

This spot was in my too 3 to check out in the area while we were staying nearby. We got lucky and got a table but the it seemed to be pure chaos from there. Drinks took a really long time to arrive. My first meal choice was out. My second meal choice I was told was good and 20 minutes later the serve came back to the table to tell us that they were out of my order. Are you serious right now? Was out response because at that point I could've sworn he might be joking to lighten the mood. He was serious. I got handed a me u again and then 5 minutes later was told everything was okay and my order was happening. It was still a ridiculously long wait given their specialty is seafood which generally doesn't take that long to prepare. The venue is okay, but definitely packed almost seems like too many tables and chairs are packed in. They're in a space too small for how busy they are and also don't seem to carry a lot of inventory because it wasn't even that late in the evening when we first sat down for them to already be out of so many things. I'm thinking digital menus where they can edit what's available might be a better fit until they can grab more space. Until then be prepared to have a lot of people walking by your table or be kind of cramped in like pre-covid times. If we come back again. I'll definitely be requesting outdoors and asking immediately what they are out of. I'm not sure if our server was new or something but it was not a great experience with the long waits and back-and-forth. Taste everything was on point so the kitchen staff can cook it up for sure.

Left Coast had a wonderfully intimate atmosphere, incredibly and helpful staff (go Morning! you're the best!), and delicious food. I got the salmon stuffed with lobster and crab and I couldn't devour the meal any faster. I will absolutely be coming back every time I'm in town.

Tried on a recommendation from a guy we met at Vichy Springs Resort. Glad we did. The bruschetta appetizer was delicious as well as the fish and chips. The Frutti Di Mare seafood pasta was excellent. The full bar had plenty of options. My Paloma was made with fresh squeezed grapefruit.

I will come back every time I am in town moving forward. It's THaT good! Service was fast and friendly. Was debating between the cioppino and seafood bake. They had to replace the Dungeness with Alaskan crab legs for the bake. I opted for the cioppino and it was great choice. The crab was actually picked and nicely in a little pile in the center of the bowl. No cracking shells!! The broth was hot,savory and spicy. I even ate the buttered bread. Needed it to soak up The broth. Happy belly here. Highly recommend

We had the Poseidon fries, the cioppino, and the seafood bake. All were excellent. I especially loved the mild picante spice in the cioppino and the seafood bake was drowning in garlic.

We have seen this restaurant pop up on my IG feed a few times so we decided to give it a try. It's a really cute cozy place with tables and booths. We were greeted right away by a super friendly girl and so glad they had a table available because apparently you need a reservation and we didn't know that. As soon as they sat us down we got menus and they took our drink order. Shortly after they took our appetizer order which we got fried calamari. It was really good and light. For our main course my husband ordered a filet mignon and omg it literally melted in our mouth. I ordered the slow roasted short ribs and they were also delicious! For dessert my husband ordered a peanut butter pie and I ordered a slice of tiramisu. My husband's pie was really good but my tiramisu was not, I'm so sorry to say but this was one of the worst I've ever had. I had 3 small bites to make sure I wasn't mistaken but it just was not good. It almost tasted spoiled or maybe they use a different filling I'm not sure but I just couldn't eat it and I was very disappointed because the presentation was beautiful. I didn't say anything because I just didn't want to be that person. But after I left I thought maybe I should have said something, the waitress came by to give us the check and asked if we wanted a box since the whole slice was basically still there, my husband said yes and I said no at the same time, lol I looked at him and when she walked away he said he felt bad leaving it, but needless to say everything else was excellent. Just be prepared for a little wait time to get your food.

Yum! Everything was delicious. Came here for my birthday and I was not disappointed with the food. I loved it all. I ended up going with two of my children but the ambiance was not it for them. It's small and intimate. We went there around dinner time we were seated less than 2 feet away from a couple and we felt horrible since our little ones did not let us enjoy dinner yet alone the couple next to us. There were a lot of other tables and seats so I did not see why we were so close to that couple. Anyway next time will not take my children it's a nice and chill dinner restaurant.

I paid 25 dollars for an Alfredo pasta just to be disappointed when I get delivered this oily pasta, not to mention the amount was absurd it was barely a few strands. You'd expect it to come with chicken like EVERY Alfredo pasta comes with, but you had to pay 8 extra dollars for it. The pasta had this white gooey texture to it hanging off my fork when I picked it up, completely lost my appetite. Not trying to hate but I was very disappointed seeing as this was my first time, and this is supposed to be on the higher end it was very cheap.

Best overall restaurant in Mendocino, whether you want delicious fresh seafood or a perfectly cooked tomahawk steak this is the place to go. I've never had something here i don't like. They also have top shelf liquor choices and an excellent cocktail menu. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend if you want the best!

Our Food was so good We cleaned Our Plates. The Staff is friendly and helpful. It was busy for a Tuesday night but We were treated like We were the only ones there.

Great Food we had stuffed Salmon with mashed potatoes and Carrots , A beet salad with goat cheese and balsamic vinegar. Second dinner was a Petrale sole mashed potato and carrots. Shared a cheesecake. Cocktails. Service was excellent definitely on point.

We have been here for lunch a few times and have always been happy with the food and service. Today was the exception. We wanted a lobster roll but settled for a crab roll as they were out of lobster. It was served on a toasted hot dog bun with just a tiny bit of aioli smeared on the bun, the crab was dry without any mayo mixed with it. I requested a bit more aioli or mayo as it needed something. The crab itself was a bit fishy tasting. A choice of fries or caesar salad came with it. I chose the salad which turned out to be a meager portion of wilted romaine with none of the crunchy part of romaine heart included. My dining partner had the fish and chips and upgraded to the halibut. It came with a very generous portion of fries as well as tartar sauce, malt vinegar and ketchup. Fries were crispy and flavorful, the halibut itself was good but the heavy hard coating took away from the delicate halibut itself. The service was impeccable. Our server was friendly, efficient and helpful. I was a bit surprised that the bill included a $1 charge for extra aioli ( really? the crab roll was $30+ and very dry). Also noted was a 3% charge for using a credit card to pay. Really hope it was an off day as we've enjoyed previous meals here.

Left Coast is one of the top places to eat in downtown ukiah. Loved their large menu ! They had everything from oysters to crab and lobster ! I ordered the lobster and tasted the short ribs ! Their garlic fries with grab meat is a must ! I can see why these three dishes are their most popular ! Their drink menu was pretty good as well ! I had the El Hefe. The service overall was good and the place was a little tiny ,our seats were pretty squished together . But overall I would still recommend to others :)

We had high hopes for this place - After a long beach day, seeing their good photos of the food was exciting. But... Service was beyond slow - It took 40 min to get 2 appetizers! The elegant family next to us left because of how bad the service was. Price - Entrees were $40+. For that price... it better be bomb... but it wasn't. Bad food - Everything was wayyyy over-salted and overcooked. It's hard to mess up short ribs... and yet, the sauce was so salty it was not edible. The shrimp appetizer was so overcooked (or just sat under the heater in the kitchen so long) you could barely peel the shells off. Vibe - Very Trumpy vibe. People yelling across the restaurant from one another about their MAGA hats, to the staff talking loudly about Biden. I mean... come on... we're just trying to have some dinner...

Amazing staff, fantastic food and this place is just loved by the locals! So all those from out of town, make a note this place has some amazing dishes. Family friendly ambiance!

Ordered seafood bake. Shortly after ordering they let me know they were out of crab and I was ok with substituting with lobster meat. Overall, dish could have used a bit more flavor (garlic, parsley, pepper), the seafood was cooked well otherwise. I like the fact that the shrimp were decently sized and not rubbery. I did have 2 pieces of rock from I am assuming the mussels not being cleaned/washed enough which was a little unpleasant to eat.

Great service for our late afternoon lunch. We had the crab cakes for appetizer which were delicious served with arugula. Hubby had the lobster thermidor and I had the stuffed salmon served with glazed carrots and mashed potatoes. Both were very good. They offer an excellent selection of wine and spirits including local options. As it was a slow time of day it was quiet and we were able to enjoy a conversation, which is sometimes difficult in restaurants nowadays.

I'm hungry just thinking about eating there. I typically order the crab give never ordered anything I didn't like. From the clam chowder to the cheesecake. Everything is amazing.

I took a date for dinner at Left Coast. This was my first experience here. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a casual attire type of place and has a full bar. The menu was pretty minimal, but the specials nearly doubled the options. Our food was nicely prepared and tasted great. Cod Piccata was delicious and I would get that again.
