Great new place to get some really good hot dogs. Love that serve their tater tots nice and crispy. Definitely worth the try and happy that they’re in Alameda.

Hands down the best hot dog I’ve ever had. I got the Jimmy Rollins (with a veggie dog) and it was packed with flavor. The sauce was perfect with the toppings. You would never have known it was a veggie dog! Hot dog and crispy tater tots on a chilly day, what more could you ask for? Highly recommend.

A fantastic hot dog. I got the Jimmy rollings. 13 bucks. And a great beer on tap. What's missing? Pictures. Also the pickles. A tease. I'm not willing to spend 12 bucks to see if they are worth 12 bucks. Hook a brother up and give me a wedge with each order. Also, need some lighting in front to let others know you're open Will I return again? Absolutely. Thanks for the meal and super nice staff. 5:45 pm

The house specials are excellent. I ordered the Jimmy Rollins and it was delicious. However, their create your own is NOT worth it. I’ve attached a picture of a plain hot dog with a pickle (which is exactly what my child ordered) and that cost $12. The bacon wrapped dog with cheese sauce sauce $15+. For four hot dogs and two plain tater tots, it cost my family $75. I really want to support this business but it’s just too pricey for us to return.

Great new addition to the West Side. Imaginative dogs and excellent fries, with local beer. What's not to like? Had the Tijuana dog (had a different name) but anything wrapped in bacon, grilled, and served with peppers and onions on a delicious roll has to entice. The chili fries are excellent - nice vinegary chili is a secret superpower.

Just finished eating the "Derek Jeter" house special at Left Field Dogs, a delicious all beef dog smothered in sauerkraut and onions, topped with really tasty mustard in a freshly baked bun. Omg, it was good. Run, don't walk to this place for lunch. The food is just off the charts. You can smell the food calling to you from kitchen as you walk up the street. The staff are super nice. The prices are shockingly low for the quality of ingredients. Service is super fast. What a welcome addition to our neighborhood!

High quality, tasty food, but price/portion size needs to improve. I've been excited for this place to open for a while. I got the Ricky Henderson, the truffle fries and a beer. The imaginative style of the specials are wonderful, it's cool to see a hot dog inspired by a Bahn Mi or a cheese steak. Wherever they source their bread from is exquisite, the bacon on the chorizo sausage was nice and crispy, the toppings gave it a little bit of a kick and made every bite wonderful. Their fries are nice and crispy, the flavor of their truffle fries is on point and their staff is incredibly friendly and the guys working in the kitchen seemed engaged. In terms of areas of improvement: finer grating on their parmesan cheese for their truffle fries, the size that it was compared to the fries caused it to just slide off most of the time, if it was closer to parmesan powder it would likely work much better. I think the prices might need to come down for some of the Specialty dogs, the portions for their fries need to go up or there needs to be some sort of combo option, it was a little disappointing that I was still hungry after spending $20 on dinner. The food came out a little slow, and the process to assemble/cook the dogs seemed a bit involved. I hope those are just caused by kinks that'll be worked out during their soft opening. I do hope that they will eventually be able to make a lot of different dogs quickly as I can easily see this place being a perfect late night quick grub spot on Webster. Overall, would recommend trying and I hope to be able to update my review to a 5 next time I try it, because it has some great potential.

The green and gold storefront caught my eye across the street from the gas station. Love the names for each dog. They were getting ready to close so I took it to go and was pleased that it held up after my drive home! Can’t wait to go back and try the other ones!
