We had a fun winter weekend in Traverse City back in January. It was our first time staying in TC so we weren't really sure where to go or what to do. My husband looked online and found Left Foot Charley, so we decided to try it out.
They had a bunch of whites and ciders when we were there, not as many reds. I think that's why my husband picked it. It's a small space, but we there were some empty tables, and we got seats up at the bar, which we prefer anyway. It was really fun chatting with the server/bartender!
I tasted a white and was going to get a full glass, but the bartender recommended I try their Cinnamon Girl cider and there was no way I could get anything else! Totally not something I would normally order, but it was absolutely incredible. The bartender also had me try some of it hot, which was also delicious, and kind of perfect for the January day we were there. I fully enjoyed my glass of cider, and we ended up buying some to take home as well. It's really no wonder they are known for the Cinnamon Girl cider; I highly recommend you try it, even if it's not something you would normally try. We'll definitely be back!!
(We also found out that the bartender and some of the other staff curl in the Traverse City Curling Club. We chatted about curling for awhile, which was great! I really hope to play them in a bonspiel sometime!)
