San Francisco Bay Area Restaurant and Bar Closures to Know in December | Eater SF

"A Nob Hill 2-in-1 drinking den from bar veteran Phil Chen has closed to the public; although the bar and restaurant will remain open for a few private events, they’ll soon vacate to make way for an unidentified tenant — a new liquor-license application suggests that Meskie’s Ethiopia Restaurant in Berkeley may leap across the bridge to settle into the space." - Dianne de Guzman

Since I started coming to Left Margin Lit's workspace for writers I've been hitting my writing goals. I love working quietly alongside others, then getting to learn about their projects and passions over lunch. Everyone is friendly, kind, interesting and insightful. Its also a very welcoming space - anyone who is passionate about writing is welcome, no matter how new they are to the practice. This is the community I've been needing and I feel so lucky to have found it.

Yelp
A sweet and cozy space for writers! Came here for a SCBWI-hosted Nanowrimo event to get some writing done, and it was so nice to have this space where other writers are working. You can come here to talk and get feedback and talk shop and industry, or just focus and be productive. There are also classes held here. So glad to see this creative writing space here.

Yelp
If you're an East Bay writer looking for community, you will find it here. David and Rachel are amazing aggregators. Classes are rigorous but inclusive, instructors are skilled and diverse, Bootcamp is accessible and a great place to connect. I have both taught and taken their classes and they're fantastic. I am so grateful this place exists!

Yelp
I love this space. It's cozy and filled with writing materials and literary vibes, thoughtful new people to meet (during lunch - it's silent the rest of the time), and various milks for your writing tea. The location is a n easy walk from BART with plenty of parking and tons of great restaurants nearby. David and Rachel are lovely chill hosts and people connectors. I find I get more writing done here and feel happier about writing when I'm in community.

Yelp
LML Bootcamp is the supportive but serious environment that helps me get real work done on my writing. The space itself has everything I need and the community is so welcoming (especially David and Rachel). I believe it is the type of space that can help writers at all stages of their career and I would recommend to all.
