Being located in Santana Row is great for business, with steady foot traffic throughout the week. The outdoor seating is always something I notice when passing by, and this place typically operates at about 80% capacity after 4 PM.
My wife and I decided on the Soy Chili Garlic Fried Chicken and the Bulgogi Bowl. I was craving something crunchy, and she wanted something with rice and beef. The atmosphere was elevated by some fantastic Korean music playing in the background, so much so that I added a few tracks to my Spotify playlist to check out later. The waitstaff greeted us warmly and offered several pre-cleaned tables, but we preferred the counter seating along the wall since we didn't need a full table. The waiter quickly wiped down the counter for us and even asked if he missed a spot, which my wife found incredibly thoughtful.
If you're into Korean fried chicken, this spot won't disappoint. While I'm a big BonChon fan, I'd say this place doesn't quite reach the heights of Von's Chicken, BBQ Chicken at Apple Park, or Modak Chicken--but it's a solid option for a quick bite in the area. It may have a smaller footprint, but the breaded texture of their chicken is on point--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and never dry or overcooked. The flavor options are limited but straightforward, which makes choosing easy.
One thing that caught us off guard was when we ordered a drink halfway through our meal. We wanted to take it to go, but it came in a bottle that you could easily get from a vending machine for much cheaper. We initially wanted to try the peach drink but ended up settling for a lemon one instead.
As for parking, there's plenty around the restaurant, though I'd recommend parking near the Century Theater's underground lot. You'll probably have to navigate through some foot traffic to reach the entrance.
Overall, I'd like to come back and try something different next time. Our visit was spontaneous, but there's definitely more on the menu we're curious about.
