Best Gay Bars in Boston | Eater Boston

"Legacy, run by Royale Entertainment Group, has taken the mantle from Paradise as one of Boston’s most hedonistic gay nightlife destinations. Located in the Theater District, Legacy hosts weekly parties like Latinx Wednesdays and Serve! Thursdays with nationally known and local queens as well as popular DJs from the circuit scene. For Pride Week, RuPaul star Jorgeous is headlining a special Latinx Wednesday on Wednesday, June 11; drag stars Katya, Chanel the Angel, Candace Persuasian, and more will be performing on Saturday, June 14; while the Pride finale is on Sunday, June 15, at industry-favorite Candibar and Legacy, which connect to each other." - Alex Reimer

Legacy throws an amazing LGBT Latin night in the Boston area! It’s one of the few spots that plays only Latin music—reggaeton, Latin pop, urban, bachata, salsa, and merengue all night long. My favorite part was the drag show. The performers aren’t just entertaining—they’re true artists, bringing real energy and creativity to the stage. Such a fun place especially Wednesday’s

This place is what is wrong with the Boston gay scene, they only care about your money. The bald white bouncer with a beard is so mean and passive aggressive, it feels like he is on a power trip. On free nights before 11pm you are not allowed to leave the club even if you are willing to come back and pay the cover. The drinks are trash and you are surveilled like a hawk when you are just trying to have a good time. There is no difference between club cafe and legacy as they don't make you feel welcome and safe. Do not go unless they change their ways!

Ladies do NOT go here. Multiple women have said they suspect being drugged in their drinks here from the bartender. My friend was one of them who ended up in the hospital. This place is dangerous. Please be careful ladies.

I saw some similar reviews saying this. DO NOT GO IF YOU'RE A GIRL, I am 99% sure the bartender put something in my drinks. I drank my usual amount and was incorherant by the time I left and could barely stand. Only got home because I was with a good friend, I could not remeber anything after the drinks, only before. Do not go.

Went here a while ago and THREE of my friends got roofied. I'm positive it was one of the bartenders that did it. And ive heard other stories of people seemingly getting drugged here. Also a $20 cover is way too expensive for mid music and "dancers."

We went there for the clubbing on a Friday night. In my memory from 4 years ago everything was cool about this place: great music and people enjoying themselves. We paid the $20 cover but were shocked to see how everything is different. For one thing, it seems nowadays everybody can be a dancer and asks for tips. They need to pay me to see them dance. The music, how should I put it, I feel like I’d rather go to a straight club.

Tried to go the other night, but once I saw the crowd and line I immediately regretted making the trip into Boston. I was not about to wait in the cold just to go to a club I barely was interested in the first place. The vibe in the line was also really weird. People would just stare at my friend and I saying nothing, and a few looked like bug eyed creeps yelling at random gay men walking by. The experience was unpleasant, so we went home and I probably won't be coming back

I went on a Saturday night in July 2018. Got there early to get in free before 11 for ladies who rsvped. They didn't even open on time. Didn't end up getting in until after 11 since they opened late. Had to wait outside the whole time. When I got in, luckily I didn't have to pay still. The place was empty. Took at least another hour or so before people started dancing. Music was mainly hip hip, Caribbean and African music.
