I love my server Ruben! I had the lobster bisque and the salmon Norwegian with roasted broccoli 🥦 and herb rice pilaf with a glass of Tempranillo! The food was delicious 😋 my only regret was not ordering the larger size of the lobster bisque because it stole the show! I also took the Boston creme pie to go. I was so full I couldn't finish but I had an Amazing experience 😌 highly recommend

Always is amazing at Legal Sea Foods. I was in last night with work colleagues. We had several appetizers, including the tuna tataki, popcorn shrimp, calamari, and, of course, oysters. All were amazing. I had the lobster roll and a cup of lobster bisque. Anytime I'm in Boston, I'm stopping by Legal.

I recently ordered takeout from Legal Sea Foods, and I was thoroughly impressed! The seafood was incredibly fresh, and every dish was packed with flavor. It was clear that great care was taken in preparing and packaging the food—it arrived in perfect condition, retaining both its taste and presentation. While I took a photo of the meal, it truly doesn’t do it justice. The quality and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for delicious, fresh seafood that’s takeout-friendly, Legal Sea Foods is definitely worth trying!

I have been a regular for while now mostly for lunch takeout and occasionally for dinner dine-in. The food is always delicious. Their tenderloin is exceptional, it was cooked perfectly, and the lobster tail was mouthwatering. It had a buttery flavor and was stuffed with Ritz biscuits, which was a unique and tasty twist. 🦞 The cauliflower plate appetizer was really good too. For dinner, Peter was our waiter and was super nice. I’ve also stopped by for drinks a few times, and Patrick, the bartender, was always friendly and welcoming. My favorite restaurant in assembly tbh.

Google
Was very disappointed in our experience. Service was very slow and inattentive, food overall mediocre at best despite the place not being busy. The appetizers were delicious, hence the 2 stars. We got mussles and a red sushi roll. Both I would absolutely recommend. By the time the soy sauce came out, we had already finished the rolls without it. Our main courses were only just okay, over priced for what it was. My sister got stuffed lobster tail, with one coming out undercooked. The clam chowder was on the saltier side - when it came out, the whole bowl almost slide off the plate onto our laps as the server was placing it down. Would not recommend this place for what they charge.

Google
I had a mixed experience at Legal Sea Foods. My dad and I ordered the fried seafood, but unfortunately, the batter tasted burnt and seemed fried in old oil. When we mentioned this to our waitress, she suggested that the Cajun flavor was meant to be smoky, but we never ordered it with Cajun seasoning. Instead, it just tasted burnt with a weird aftertaste. However, the staff was responsive and provided us with a new dish that was much better. While our initial experience was disappointing, I appreciate the effort to make things right.

Google
They had a halibut special that was amazing, best cooked fish I've ever had and the accompanying pieces of the dish were perfect. I wish I could remember our waiters name, but he provided some of the best service I've had in a long time. Very on point, will eat here again for sure. The host staff was very nice as well, was able to get us in on a busy night with no reservation at no wait. 10/10 across the board for everybody.

Staying a couple days in Boston before we head to Ireland and walked here from our hotel for dinner. I had the cod with an added crabcake and we also had sushi and sashimi at our table. That cod and crabcake were freaking amazing!! We also had the Boston Creme pie for dessert. We would definitely recommend this place and these dishes!

Yelp
Came for national chowder day and it was soooo good! This was my first time having clam chowder and it was the best, I don't know why I didn't try it sooner. I'm not really a lover of seafood but this was definitely an exception. I had the fried chicken sandwich as a main and it was sooo crispy. Even though it was a busy night the staff was so nice and attentive. The restaurant was also really nice and cozy. They also gave warm hand towels at the end! Can't wait to go again.

Yelp
Legal C Bar at Assembly is a solid C. You could do far worse in a restaurant pick, but also much better. The dining room is nice and there is an adjacent lot with free parking for up to 3 hours. We were seated and our server was right on top of us asking for our drink order. As soon as our server keyed in our drinks he was back asking what starters he could get going. At that point I advised that we were looking forward to a relaxed and enjoyable meal and were not in a rush. I think he got the message at that point. The restaurant was maybe 15% full. The cocktails we ordered were delicious as was the Bang Bang cauliflower appetizer. For dinner, I tried the cape scallop casserole, which was a special as these delicious scallops are now in season. I think our dish was rushed to the table as some of the scallops were cold in the center, a few were warm, but nothing on the plate was hot, including the sides (fries, street corn). While I undercook these gems at home, I'm sure to serve them warmed through. We got our servers attention and told him, and he said he would have the kitchen rewarm the scallops. He left us with the other sides, which at least we had something to eat, but by the time the scallops came back, our sides were cold. A manager came by before the scallops came back and offered to buy us dessert, a nice gesture. The same portion of scallops were returned, and they were hot this time, but.... We tried the chocolate pudding cake, which was nice. This is a very rich and decadent dessert. Unfortunately the cup of coffee I ordered was barely luke warm. Sigh. I hate being that guy, but really? I mentioned this to our waiter when he came by and he walked away, and brought us our check, removing the charge for the coffee. I get it, maybe he thought nothing could please me. Legal used to be one of our favorites, and it rarely disappointed. It's something very different today with some things coming from the kitchen hot and delicious and others well, not so much. When spending good money to dine out, you may want to choose a place that consistently deliver. Our recent visits to any of the legal outposts are wildly inconsistent. Your mileage may vary.

Yelp
My coworkers and I ate here on a week night. The restaurant was fairly busy but there were open tables. We were seated immediately. Our server was exceptional throughout the night, paying close attention to our needs. The restaurant was fairly loud, but definitely able to have a nice dinner/conversation. The majority of us ordered the lobster roll, with warm butter. This was hands down the best lobster roll we've had! The bread was so delicious, the lobster was flooded on the sandwich, and it was just all around incredible. We highly recommend this when going. Next time you're in Somerville doing some shopping, stop by Legal Seafood for some great food!

Yelp
New Years Eve dinners can be hit and miss- sometimes with limited menus or short staffing. We were happy to book reservations for four just a bit in advance and were warmly greeted and seated. Our server was perfect- attentive, responsive, patient and knowledgeable. There's an extensive menu of mostly seafood but also some salads and meats. Scanning a QR code provided updated information of the sourcing location of most of the seafood on the menu- a very nice touch and indicative of the fact that Legal is a great place for fresh seafood. I was surprised that the beer menu was so limited although the drink menu and wine choices were better. There was a big surprise- there were no grilled scallops to be found which was what several of us were looking for. The scallop casserole could be lightened up to have mostly lightly breaded baked scallops which were ok, but I'm still surprised that a staple like grilled scallops weren't available. Other meals included surf and turf with twin filets and a lobster tail- all well prepared. For me the treat of the night was the octopus appetizer, which was tender, tasty and beautifully plated. My tuna was initially ordered rare by me but because of the type of cut I sent it back for a bit more cooking- which was done perfectly- a huge portion. All in all, a solid meal with great service.

Yelp
This is a Legal C Bar, which is the slightly hipper and edgier version of the legal seafood chain. We liked it. Dining space is great, with the soaring exposed ceilings, turquoise leather banquettes, and food served on deep ocean blue earthenware plates. Our server Corey was awesome, and made things happen when I casually inquired about the Thai -style calamari that had been off the menu for several years. Delish! We enjoyed everything we ordered- Thai-style calamari, crabcake, fried fish sandwich, and lobster roll. Wish we had time for dessert, because the triple bon bons (mini pastries with ice cream filling, if I remember correctly) are one of my faves.

Yelp
Visited for dinner during a layover in Boston, by a friend's recommendation. Really worth it. The place was packed, it was a Saturday night but we did not have to wait long for our food to come out. Definitely coming back when in town. I liked the vibe around the bar area and the starters looked great. Next time!

Stanley U.

Yelp
You can really never go wrong with one of these Legal Sea Food chains. My recent visit there is no different as I went with family getting the shrimp salad, salmon salad, and fried calamari. I would say the calamari was a little soggy this time but never the less tasty. The service was delightful and super accommodating for changes. The place itself is large, open windows, and has a lot of sunlight. Great place for the summer!

Stacy L.

Yelp
We made reservations and were seated in the corner, against a window beside the bussing station. When we asked for a different table we were told No, they had 76 reservations. ***there were numerous open tables including the entire bar, which would have been better than the cold corner. Our server moved us & the couple next to us said they had to move 3 other couples from that table because it was so bad. The seafood tower smelled rotten. Literally rotten. I have been to Legal Seafood at the other locations and never had a bad experience. Will never recommend this location to anyone.

Ellen N.

Yelp
Came here to meet up with my friend. The restaurant is very big and staff was friendly and attentive. Food is very good. However my scallops was very small. Yes, they gave me like 10 scallops, but I expected the size to be bigger. The crabcake was very delicious, but definitely on the expensive side. I am sure on a beautiful day sitting outside will be very nice. We sat inside, since it was getting late.

Anita S.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this location. I come to Assembly often & at times I crave Legals! (My toddler loves their kids menu & there's many options for me especially the sushi!) This time around I ordered a roll of sushi that was $20. It came out cold. I thought it may have been just one piece but it wasn't. I didn't enjoy it but also didn't want to waste or send back (I really hate asking and bothering the kitchen or waiters) My waiter also wasn't very attentive. He was more so in a rush and overlooked my table- not sure if it was bc I was there with a young child? Overall my experience was MEH. I hope to come back & enjoy some warm sushi to say the least!

Yelp
Was very excited to come back to Legal Seafood after having come back to Boston. Sadly, the food has gone down. Must say the service was as good as ever. Our server and the front staff provided us with stellar service. We started off with the New England clam chowder and the local MA oysters. They were both nothing short of excellent. The oysters were plump and had an excellent briny flavor to them. I highly recommend both. Unfortunately, the entrees didn't even come close to matching up. I had the crab cake medley that included crab cakes, scallops, shrimp, and a crab claw. The scallops had a nice flavor and so did the crab claw. However, the other dishes were just meh. The temperature was just barely warm too. The crab cakes were just mediocre and were slightly heavy and greasy. The other party member had ordered a stuffed lobster and she said it was also heavy and greasy because of the filling. The other party member ordered the blackened trout and he too was less than satisfied with it. I'll give it another try at some point, but I suspect the locals already know this, as reservations were fairly easy to secure on a Friday night. Hope I'm wrong.

Jeny T.

Yelp
Yum! The burrata salad was delicious! I definitely didn't read the menu close enough and thought this was going to be served on lettuce. Although it was different from what I was expecting it was fantastic. The slaw and sauce on the tacos were great. We were a party of 7 and our server was very patient as we waited on the rest of the party to arrive. For dinner on a Friday night for a large group, I was really happy how easy it was to hear each other even though the restaurant was full.

Sharrese S.

Yelp
Nice location. The Staff was friendly and attentive. They seated us although it was minutes before closing time. The food was still delicious. Portions were filling and the bartender was generous. We appreciate that after a very long day! Atmosphere is grown up and mature just the way I prefer.

Yelp
It was around Dine Out Boston week and we wanted to take advantage of the promotion and treat ourselves out since it's our 32 month dating anniversary so LSF was one of the places we stopped by. It's been years since I last visited LSF and this location is very spacious and chill. We were seated pretty quickly, granted that we went on a Wednesday night. Our table was in a quite awkward spot, right in the middle of the restaurant and it's one those tables that are usually reserved for a party of 4+.. but anyway, it did take some time for our server to come and take our orders and they did not have physical menu for Dine Out Boston but we got our orders in. Our Shirley temple was a 6.5/10. We ordered different items on the DOB list and were fairly surprised with the taste and portions. For the apps, I got popcorn shrimp which did come with actual popcorn in a popcorn bucket which was kinda cool and its yummy. My boyfriend got the fish tacos and they were also very well done. Then came the entrees, my boyfriend went traditional and got fish and chips. The size of that filet of fish was HUGE but the dish was nothing special. I got this Scallop x corn dish and the concept of this dish is very cool me likey. No complaints about this dish besides the scallops being a bit too salty. But zoo wee mama we were super full at this point. The desserts were cheesecake and hazelnut cake of some sort and they're sweet.( a tad too sweet in our humble opinions) Overall, this place is not a bad spot to visit during Dine Out Boston weeks.

Lucy H.

Yelp
This restaurant is big, atmosphere is good, we took very beautiful pictures. Lobster platter has lobster and shell which is very delicious. Clam chowder taste very good, not so salty as others. Other food are good too! Staff is very friendly, take good photos for us.

Robin W.

Yelp
Good location for any e staying at Row Hotel. Usual Legal Seafood choices. I love the seared tuna. There's a great view.

William C.

Yelp
Had a nice relaxing dinner here after arriving in town. I had the shrimp gumbo, which had perfectly cooked shrimp and good gumbo flavor, but I wish there was a bit more andouille sausage in it, and the rice seemed to outbalance the gumbo a little. My wife had the fish tacos, which were huge and delicious. My daughter had the salmon as a Power Bowl, which included kale, quinoa, and roasted squash, a nice mix. Drinks were tasty -- the Real Patron margarita really hit the spot. The place has a hip but casual atmosphere, and service was great -- really friendly waitress.

Frank D.

Yelp
Very disappointed in new item called chicken wings. 7-11 has better quality and taste But new sole diner is excellent

Colleen H.

Yelp
I had the fish sandwich and my partner had the lobster maccaroni and cheese. His meal was $56.00 and absolutely not worth the money spent. They were able to seat us quickly and the service was good. Presentation of the food was lovely and it is right on the water, so the ambiance was nice. But overall I wouldn't recommend this place as a "must go".

Geoff G.

Yelp
Very consistent seafood. You can never go wrong with some fish and some chowder. The Somerville location was new and pleasant experience.

Angel P.

Yelp
Legal Sea Foods is a chain based in the Boston area with a few locations in new england and mid-atlantic. On a Sunday evening of a long weekend, it wasn't busy, less than half full. I got the crispy calamari, nut crusted salmon (test kitchen), and the espresso martini. When I got my espresso martini, it didn't look good and I confirmed it did not taste good. The crispy calamari was average, a little too much breading. The salmon was good, and I liked the farro salad. Some in my group complained that their dishes were dry (surf & turf). Service was average. We came as a large group and our waitress missed one person for the drink and appetizer round. We also never got our waters refilled. There aren't many options for non-seafood lovers. There is free 3 hour parking in the garages.

Sonya C.

Yelp
This is my 7th Legal's location and Somerville has great food service and ambiance. I strayed from my usual favorites and tried the cioppino. It was delicious and definitely a new addition to my rotation! It was pretty quiet for lunch but the hostess didn't ask if we had a seating preference.

Clarence B.

Yelp
My recent birthday celebration took an unexpected turn, but Legal Sea Foods in Somerville saved the night. We started out at Douzo on Dartmouth Street, drawn in by old reviews. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype--the food felt premade and somewhat stale, and the service... well, we decided to leave. With time running late, I figured we could still make it to one of my all-time favorites--Legal Sea Foods--and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, Legal Sea Foods felt like the perfect remedy. The atmosphere was inviting, and Deborah Cannata, our server, made us feel instantly welcome. It's not often I ask a server's last name, but in this case, Deborah made our celebration memorable. Without saying much, she just knew how to create a special evening. The Legal Sea Foods brand is lucky to have Deborah, and we were lucky to bump into her as she made our birthday celebration truly memorable.

Kristin C.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things! Service is wonderful, can't get a bad seat, and food was seriously delicious This was my first time having fried scallops & it was a quick decision since I couldn't decide on what to order since everything looked so good! I couldn't be happier with my choice. I'm that person that NEVER finishes a dish, BUT there wasn't a scallop left! The baked lobster Mac & cheese was as delicious as it was eye catching!!! We ordered one and it was more than enough to share between the three of us. This was a "treat" that I can't wait to indulge in again!

Jenny T.

Yelp
SO YUMMY! Took my family who was visiting from out of town here and we got the calamari to share between the 5 of us. It was delicious! My dish was a solid 11/10, I made a GREAT choice. The scallops were SO fresh, and perfectly cooked. The street corn was amazing (prob my favorite part) and the pearl couscous salad was delicious as well - I'm not too familiar with how couscous tasted but I really liked the way they made it here. I finished the entire plate (easily). My family also really enjoyed the food! Our waitress was really nice, patient, calm, really nice to my younger cousins and I. The food was pretty fast honestly, especially for seafood! The restaurant itself is located in a great area. The bathrooms are really clean, there's a fun bar scene to look at them making drinks and my aunt really liked her sangria as well. Overall would recommend!

Delia S.

Yelp
I genuinely cannot understand how the reviews for this restaurant are so polarized. Now this was my first time trying the restaurant and everything was consistent to me. I went with a group of friends and I tried every dish and they all were excellent. Every. Single. One. That is also followed by the fact that the ambience is is inviting and and the restaurant is clean. And the staff is very knowledgeable, patient, and kind. I'm not even a big seafood fan and the dishes were so flavourful, and they didn't have that off putting fishy taste. I can't wait to return to try more dishes.

Natasha K.

Yelp
I really enjoyed their express menu items a petit lobster roll with clam chowder for only 25 bucks! The service was great and the food was delivered quickly.

Brian B.

Yelp
Everyone knows it, Legal Sea Food is always great food, with great seafood that is fresh and always prepared right. Always a favorite.

Emily B.

Yelp
Always have an amazing time here. I always get the clam chowder and wedge salad here - it's a game changer! Instead of bacon, it comes with a smoked salmon belly. I wish I had pictures to post but I was locked in LOL I ended the night with the mango lemon drop martini, which was devine.

Brian H.

Yelp
On the night of Monday 6/17, I went to the bar at Legal Seafoods and sat in the corner for like 30 minutes before a bartender came over to me. I tried flagging down one of the two bartenders several times, it seems like they were "too busy" to pay attention to their patrons (only half the bar was full). When they came over, they said "when did you get here? We just did last call" 5 minutes later, someone in the party next to us asked for a beer and the bartender said yes with no hesitation. The bartender then proceeded to refuse service for other patrons that came in. As a former server, I will never be coming back to Legal Seafoods based on this selective service. It seems like the two bartenders were biased in who they chose to serve, this is below the standards of any restaurant or bar full stop.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
It's been over a year since I've been to this Legal Seafood and all I have to say is special shout out to your rockstar of a server Jordan! She was absolutely amazing and literally conquered half of the restaurant by herself on a Friday night. I never had to wait for a single thing, and her recommendations are out of this world!!! Thank you so much Jordan for making my experience great! You're hard work and dedication shines through you!

Cathy K.

Yelp
had a wonderful lunch today! on our way back to California and wanted a good bowl of clam chowdah!!! Great chowdah and great buns!!! Really enjoyed the great service from Randy!!

Kevin W.

Yelp
Came here for an I owe you/thank you and order whatever you want dinner from an old friend. Was able to easily get a reservation online for 3 for Saturday night the day of. In hindsight, probably didn't even need a reservation to begin with. To start off, even though they weren't very busy, still took the waitress 15-20 mins to take our food order. Wasn't too happy about that but she did apologize for the wait time. We got the shrimp cocktail, mussels, clam chowder, one baked lobster, one steamed lobster and one salmon entree. Shrimp cocktail was as expected, not much to say other than good. Mussels was a little disappointing for me. Might be nitpicking a bit but the bowl they used for the mussels was so deep I couldn't really get to the sauce on the bottom until maybe half way through. Even then I don't feel like they did anything special. The lobster though was very fresh but I think I got greedy getting the baked with scallops and shrimp. There was just so much stuffing to the point I couldn't find the lobster. There was literally Ritz cracker flying everywhere as I tried to find lobster meat. While it didn't taste bad per say, it was just too overpowering. Would have much rather have the steamed one instead. For reference, the steamed lobster was around $45, the baked was around $70. Honestly don't think the baked lobster was worth it. Not sure if I would ever come back either. The only reason we chose Legal was because it was the easiest to get a reservation couple hours before we were trying to eat. Again it's not bad per say but definitely much better places to try in Boston.

Grace S.

Yelp
Legal's on the Mystic is a great spot! The food is always incredible and the service is solid. More importantly they always take great care of my husbands food allergies. I love their shrimp scampi, white sangria, and of course their chowder which is always delicious!

Louise M.

Yelp
The server was pleasant, the beer was cold, and my friend's lunch and our shared appetizer, calamari, was good but nothing like I remember Legals always being outstanding. My Whole Belly Clam Plate was dismal, dry, and without any flavor or taste. What an unpleasant surprised! Never expected a bad meal at Legal. NO return trip here.

Kelli D.

Yelp
Bar tender Matthew really helped our trip to MA start on a positive note. Great conversation and suggestions from the the local resident, and honest opinion about what to order from the Legal C menu. The oysters were great, and we enjoyed the variety (3 different areas). The lobster bisque was not too heavy and filling of flavor. The tuna entrees were both tasty and fresh.

Matthew S.

Yelp
Always the top of any restaurant out there! Food is the highest quality and value can still be found if you search the menu carefully! You can never go wrong at Legal.

Aneesa P.

Yelp
I was in Boston for a work trip and of course when in Boston you must get a lobstah roll. This was my first stop after I checked into my hotel and I'm shocked that a co worker and I were seated right away when we arrived. It was a nice day so we decided to be seated outside. Our server was so nice and friendly. Once I alerted her I was Gluten intolerant she said she'll bring me a fresh GF roll from the oven. This truly made my night. I'm usually a frozen drink kind of girl but didn't see any on the menu. Our waitress said they could make Strawberry Daiquiris buy they ended up being out of strawberry mix, but they were able to do Pina Coladas. Our drinks came Our amazing and all the other tables were in awe. For my meal I ordered a Lobster roll. I assumed the roll was going to be a large one versus two smaller rolls. Regardless it was very good and you could taste the butter on the Lobster. Overall not only the taste was great but our server was so nice she made the experience

Jen C.

Yelp
I came with three friends on a weekend afternoon for lunch. It was pretty crowded - luckily, we had a reservation. I ordered the beer battered fish sandwich. It was really good, and the sandwich itself was huge! The fish was crispy outside and super tender inside. It ended up being 2 meals for me. I really liked the fries - I basically devoured them all before even touching the sandwich! The waiter was super nice and attentive. Overall, we had a great experience. We'll be back next time we're in the area!

Tracy B.

Yelp
Service is great here, always friendly. Food is great, parking is Meh - I Love seafood and fresh fish - but I just always there was MORE on their menu and sometimes I think its just because of COVID, but this will continue to be a stop spot when we are craving fishes & slimy things! (what my kids call Oysters) A Raw bar is a must in my life! Oysters here are always super fresh, LOVE their chowder and last week when we went I didnt finish my chowder (we might have ordered too much food) and I asked to take it to go and they gave me a WHOLE BRAND NEW CUP, WHAT?!?! THANK YOU! Now I want some chowder, LOL

Jessica R.

Yelp
Legal Seafoods used to be one of the best seafood places. I u understand that they changed ownership, but my lunch yesterday was a disaster. First, I got my usually Ceasar salad with fresh crab meat. I have loved it for so long. Yesterday I got a mix of romaine and spring mix with watery crab "meat". Nothing had any flavor. Them I asked for the fish tacos. These used to be so good, until now. The tortilla was rubbery. The fish was not seasoned and overcooked. The chipotle aioli used to have a nice bite, now nothing. The sour cream looked like they scooped off the top without mixing it. I can say at least they kept the rolls. Never again.

Allie C.

Yelp
Great place to grab a drink and eat average food. I was pleasantly surprised by the stuffies which had a lot of flavor. The calamari and fish sandwich were average. The server was friendly and quick. We were cracking jokes and I enjoyed our experience

Meg C.

Yelp
I always come for the chowder, which is consistently delicious, never too thick or runny, and has a decent amount of clams. Tasted the 3 types of oysters they had on deck and those were fresh and briny, but nothing memorable. Rolls were warm and served with butter, only bummer is salad was under-dressed and nearly dry. The bloody mary had a good helping of horseradish, which I appreciated and went well with my meal. Was seated at the bar and service was good. No wait on the weekend of Thanksgiving around lunch time. A little bit on the spendier side, but Ieft feeling sated and light.

Bo F.

Yelp
This update is in response to my 6th visit after the ownership change recently from the original ownership team. The new owners have gutted the menu, and are trying to consolidate menu items and simplify and eliminate fan favorites to uncomplicated and increase mass appeal.. Maybe that makes no sense to some, but I've been coming here for 40 years... there is in my opinion, no real reason to come back.. They are not listening to customers and have not reacted at all to any criticism over the menu changes. No fish chowder, and fewer and fewer fish options... I mean, I could write another 500 words about their lack of interest and failure to inspire consumer passion. But, the new unlaundered factory fresh napkins that caused my face to breakout were a great touch..

Joanne N.

Yelp
Many gluten free options. Fresh seafood and excellent service. Nice ambiance as well. Highly recommend!

Irma L.

Yelp
The food here is ok, exactly what you would expect from a chain. Got oysters, clam chowder, a seafood combo plate, and spinach and artichoke dip. Nothing wowed me in terms of flavor or texture. Came here during their opening week years ago. Huge improvement now but nothing I would come back for again.

Yelp
We dropped in here during an oysterfest special on a Monday night a while back. The restaurant was fairly full but tables were still available. There was a mix-up with my moms drink - initially the waitress brought the wrong one. It all worked out because my wife liked it anyway! Our server was cool about it so no harm no foul. As for the food, the baked scrod was excellent. Even the fries were higher quality than other restaurants. Everyone at the table loved their food. It may be on the more expensive end but Legal C Bar is worth it.

Yelp
Gave this place another shot but wow what a disappointment. I had reservations for 3 @8pm on a busy Friday night. Once I was seated it was 8:40 by the time my table received waters and bread. We had ordered a round of drinks and calamari for the table and oddly enough the appetizer made it to the table before the drinks. After looking over the menu we had asked our waiter how the lobster roll was here or her take on popular items from the menu and her response was "I don't know I don't eat seafood." Well what an odd place to be working.. We ended up getting the lobster roll anyway along with the Crab cake combo and the stuffed colossal shrimp. Lobster roll was huge, more bread and butter than actual lobster. Crab cake was ok, little mushy not enough flavor but the scallops were good. As for the stuffed shrimp and rice pilaf I would say that was the most edible thing ordered that night. Overall, the service was slow the food is not worth the price, drinks are OK. I will not be returning.

Yelp
The only this place got going for it is that's in in the nice area of assembly row. It's down hill from there... I hoping this bad review will discourage people from going and a better restaurant replaces it. First strike - 1 star service. 30 minutes without even given water or greeted by our waitress. Appetizer came before our martinis. Our waitress couldn't help us with the menu because she doesn't eat seafood. Seriously, how are you going to work at a seafood restaurant. That's like being a vegan and working at fogo de chao... Second strike - management must of sensed terrible service and asked every table with white people if everything was okay but not us (pic) who's been sitting there for 30 minutes without even water on our table. I wish they asked me how it was going because I'd rip them a new one. Third strike - bland food, lobster roll was decent size but ratio of bread to lobster was not it. I don't eat much salt in my own diet but I had to add some because the fries tasted like cardboard. The lobster roll 'claw meat' was tiny. I'm from New England and I ain't ever seen mini claw meat. Fourth strike- the last member of the party arrived 10 mins late and the hostess said they could find our table and proceeded to do nothing. My guest had to call me and have me walk up to the front to grab her.
