Stopped by Legend Chicken Bayside and had the chicken pop and curly fries and both were fresh, crispy, and really good. The manager was super nice and even gave me an oolong tea on the house, which made the whole meal even better. You can tell they really care about their customers here. Definitely coming back!

I've always loved Taiwanese food, but trying this tea is like traveling to Taiwan in New York. The flavor, variety, and affordable price in a place like Bayside are amazing! We also tried the sweet potatoes, the green beans with garlic ( crispy to perfection), and a delicious tiramisu dessert, It was decorated with a sweet touch, had a delicious texture, and was just right for sugar, since I personally don't like things too sweet.

Legend Chicken’s 2nd location recently opened in Bayside. I’ve been (many times) to their Flushing location which is a teeny tiny stall inside Foody Town food court and was happy to see they have expanded to a bigger space. They are still currently in their soft opening stage and are offering an (abbreviated) Tasting menu all this month. They have also teamed up with Fortune Tea and have an expanded boba tea menu. We ordered: Legend Pops ($8): one of their most popular items is their fried chicken pops so I was glad to see it on the tasting menu. The chicken was lovely; was breaded nicely, seasoned well, and the meat was moist and tasty. Curly Fries ($7): perfectly fried, crunchy exterior and nicely seasoned. While I did enjoy this, I don’t really know why I got it! You can get fries anywhere; I really should have gotten their Blood Rice Cake instead. Lo Ba Bun ($8): this Taiwanese Pork and Rice Bowl was a deal at eight bucks. It consisted of braised minced pork over white rice with a hardboiled egg and thinly sliced pickled radish. The minced pork was very tasty and not too fatty. My only complaint about this dish was that they were a bit stingy with the meat. Lots of fluffy rice but not enough meat. They currently only accept cash so plan ahead. Also, they are running two soft opening promos: get a free Jasmine Green tea with any $15 purchase or purchase a Snackbowl for $18.88 (Legend Pops, Fries, Jasmine Green Tea and Mochi Donut) Will definitely be back once they are out of their soft opening stage to try their expanded menu.

My daughter and I love the Venetian tofu, so I tried to order it right at 12 today, but had trouble reaching someone. I ended up ordering in person and shopping at the nearby supermarket while waiting. To make up for it, I was given a free jasmine tea, which was such a nice gesture and ended up being yummy! Props for the great service! P.S. I would also like to ask if Imperial tofu could be added in the future since it’s available at the Flushing one.

This is my favorite Taiwanese restaurant in New York. The classic combination of bubble milk tea and legend pops is my favorite. The Gu Ba Mi (beef noodle soup) is authentic and extra noodle or soup can be requested for a small fee.

Came on Sunday afternoon to grab a snack. Ordered their signature pop corn chicken and a osmanthus four season green tea. Still the same good familiar taste as their old shop in Flushing. Even better now that they partnered with Fortune Tea to have the drink options available. One stop shop street food for your convenience.

Google
Quick bites and delicious tea spot. I've had their Flushing location before. Their popcorn chicken was juicy and I had the dark grey milk tea. They had a soft opening promo and it came with a mochi donut.

Google
Pop chicken regular spice is spicy, cheap and filling. Ordered at the kiosk togo and food came quick. Definitely going to come back and try the other ones.

Yelp
Convenient location on Bell Blvd with a few tables if you choose to eat in. You order at the kiosk or online for pickup/delivery. I've been to their Flushing location before. I was in the mood for some Blood Rice Cakes, so I stopped by just as they opened for the day. One of the kitchen staff handed me the order, and I should have double checked it then, but I didn't think to since we were there as they opened (they must have gotten other orders already!). Upon arriving home, I realized they gave me the wrong order. We called them, and they has also realized the error and offered to remake the order. We headed back to pick up the correct order. They give a decent portion, and the spiciness is always on point. Be warned that the Hot is like pure spicy! What I ordered: -Blood Rice Cakes (Mild): good chewy texture. It's mild in flavor, so might be better with a Medium spicy. -Turnip Cakes (Medium): nice soft interior, and a crisp exterior. Good turnip flavor, that is not overpowered by the spicy. What was mistakenly given to me (eaten the next day - reheated): -Legend Pops (Medium?): Good ratio of breading to chicken. Best to reheat this by toaster oven to crisp up a little. The chicken held up well. -Sweet Potato Fries with Honey Mustard: Good soft texture and sweet potato flavor. I am happy that they have this location, since it is much easier to stop by, and there is seating if I choose to eat in.

Yelp
A very solid choice and great in a pinch. Drinks are good, I like you can adjust the spiciness of the chicken bc you know, kids and their rice bowls are large and they throw it some non traditional extras such as seaweed salad!

Yelp
The chicken was delicious with mild spice. The chicken without spices is flavorless but the crunch was perfect. Cooked perfectly. Service was rude asf. I was completely discouraged from continuing my meal. Idk who else yells at their customers for not knowing what the failed English translation of the item is. I am familiar with the dialect the menu is in and while I applaud their efforts and the phonetics of the menu, that isn't a translation of what the menu item actually is. Sometimes answering a customer politely what the item is wouldn't hurt. Any who the noodles were bland and not super flavorful. Good spot for take out I supposed but I'd stick with the chicken.

Yelp
Great little Taiwanese "fast food" or "snack" joint. We first encountered their little stand in the heart of downtown flushing inside one of them "mini malls" with small individual food stalls. This full restaurant on Bell Blvd took a while to open but the flavors are the same as what we loved in Flushing. Plus, they now some typical Taiwanese rice and noodle dishes as well. All super flavorful.

Yelp
Yay! So happy to see the legendary Legend Chicken come to the Bayside area! Taiwanese Fried Chicken snacks are a special little corner of the food world and whenever we miss our beloved trip to Taiwan, we think of Legend Chicken. But now we don't have to trek all the way to busy Flushing! It seems like they're still in the process of working out some menu and operational kinks - service was a bit slow and awkward but the food was just as we'd expected. Their signature Legend (Chicken) Pops were fresh and crispy and great. They also have other items like the Braised Pork over Rice (Lo Ba Bun), along with snacks such as Curly Fries, Blood Cakes etc. I couldn't get a photo of the Menu and can't recall if they had quite everything that's at the Flushing location but we'll be going back again soon! PS - They also have Fortune Tea drinks.

Yelp
Chicken is ok. Be careful when ordering on the kiosk, they automatically add a tip as the default and if you're not paying attention, will pay it unknowingly.

Yelp
The cashier has a bad attitude. I was about to walk out but still give it a try. Food are overpriced. And not taste as good as the one at flushing. There are better option on Bell blvd. Easy pass. Never again

Yelp
Been at Legendary Chicken at the bayside location a few times now. The food is fresh and made to order. The manager, Henry is always so polite, kind, friendly, informative and very professional. He introduce us to many delicious dishes and we are hooked. The seasonings on each of the items are truly on point. Keep up the amazing work!

Yelp
OBSESSED. I waited for this place to open practically forever and then forgot about it until a few days ago. The chicken is fresh and juicy and the flavor is beyond amazing. The curly fries are so good too! Went back for more today and my husband met the owner who was so nice. We are hooked! Maybe we will see you again tomorrow!

Yelp
Loved the popcorn chicken and waffle fries that were seasoned perfectly. So many great drink options and they were so patient to explain all the different types of dinks and which ones were most popular. Would definitely come here again.
