Legend Deli Serves Stacked Sandwiches in Charleston | Eater Carolinas

"At 41-A George Street, I found Legend Deli—opened by food-and-beverage vet Chaz Wendel with former Husk chef Tyler Hunt—to be a steamed-bagel and sandwich shop open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering breakfast burritos and pun-filled sandwiches on Normandy Farm breads (the G.O.A.T, for example, layers black pepper turkey, whipped goat cheese, onion jam, arugula, and red pepper mayo on seeded rye)." - Erin Perkins

Stopped in to grab a breakfast burrito. The people working there were great. Super friendly and personable. I got the sausage burrito and it’s pretty tasty. While it lacked my Midwest love for a Hispanic take on a breakfast burrito, it still hit the spot. Will definitely be back. Edit: Came back and got the Jabroni. You want a sandwich packed with delicious meat to fill you up? Get it. Sheeeeeeeessh.

It was my first time in and so I had to try the G.O.A.T. I couldn't have been happier with my choice. They use only high-quality ingredients made by people who care about the customer. I'm a big fan and will definitely be back!

I can't recommend this place enough!! I just moved to Charleston recently and this has already become a staple in my week. The workers are some of the kindest and friendliest people I've met here! All of the sandwiches we've tried have been delicious and so flavorful. My favorites are the jimmy pesto and chicken caesar wraps!

Rated highly and well deserved. Portion is good, flavors are great, and staff was incredibly nice. It does get very crowded inside so I docked a star for atmosphere but if the weather is nice, it wouldn't be too bad to find a spot on the CofC campus to have your lunch amongst the trees.

1st time here, we decided to get food for the road and heading back home. Hands down the best breakfast burrito I’ve had! The GOAT was also good. The accidentally left out one of our sandwiches but I still give them 5 stars. We will be back. We appreciate the gluten free and celiac options.

Had lunch at this chill deli and ordered the Jimmy Pesto Wrap, really tasty! We’re pesto fans, and this one didn’t disappoint. Nice quality meat and fresh ingredients made it a solid, satisfying lunch. Great drink selection too, including beer. Laid-back vibe and definitely worth a stop if you’re nearby.

Small deli off King Street in downtown Charleston. Great sandwich combinations…legendary some might say ;-). Although several peaked my interest I couldn’t resist trying the GOAT, a cold sandwhich with peppermill turkey, whipped goat cheese, onion jam, roasted red pepper mayo, arugula on sourdough bread. It did not disappoint. Great variety of flavors in each bite. Served grilled, bread was extra crunchy but a little too greasy buttery for me…but dont get me wrong, I ate every last bit and licked every finger when done. Staff was very friendly. Indoor seating available at tables and counter seating at windows. Will definitely be back!

Just incredible. We loved our sandwiches and it's got a cool vibe, and great service! Cool stickers too. The hummus sandwich was so so good. 1,000% recommend
