"Legendairy Milkshake Bar opened with a focus on visually arresting, brightly colored, stacked-to-the-brim milkshakes that are perfect for Instagram. They offer a variety of flavors served in pint-sized mason jars, decorated with waffles, cupcakes, glazed donuts, and more. Customers can customize their shakes or choose from pre-made options like 'the king shake'. The shop is co-owned by Christina Helton Barnett and some silent investors, and it operates from Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Google
The only reason I wouldn’t give this five stars is because of how heavy the milkshakes are. They all tasted great but we got halfway through and felt sickly. I got the dairy free milkshake which tasted great. I also am not a fan of whipped cream and there was a mountain of whipped cream. We should have gotten the 8oz instead of the 16oz. What’s cool is that they had an option if purchasing the glass jars they come in, so even though we didn’t finish the milkshakes, we got to take home a clean glass so we can go home and tell everyone we ate 100% of the milkshake, lol.

*Review redo* Last night I posted on an issue with them closing early. Turns out there is a right door issue. I went back tonight for another shot because extended family wanted to go. I watched a few people have trouble with the right door like I did the night before. So it does need to be fixed. I do wish the folks who looked up when I had the issue would have assisted. But that's OK. We made it back tonight. Thanks to the owners for the reply. We hope this corrects the misunderstanding of closing early. Now for tonight's review. Everything was great. The line didn't take long. The cashier was friendly and helpful. I received my 2 scoops immediately and it took just a little time to get out the Shake it up Buttercup for my son. He almost cleaned the glass it came in he ate so much of it. And my nephew loved his too. It was a good family environment. I would def go back.

Google
Visited yesterday before we left town. A little pricey but a really cool experience. All the shakes were crafted beautifully and they are just as edible as they are art. Ingredients were on point and everything tasted amazing.

Google
We ordered death by chocolate. The icecream/brownie/drink didn’t taste as chocolatey as we expected it to be. We arrived half an hour before their closing time but they still did not let us dine in for more than 5 minutes, gave the food in a plastic cup instead of glass cup, and we just did not like how they served us in the plastic one, it looked a little cheap, sorry. We wanted to dine in.

Jessica Cunningham

Google
The milkshakes were good but definitely way over priced for what you get. It didn't feel clean, especially the restrooms. A good one stop kind of place. Next time, we'll opt to hit a local ice cream shop.

Cherie M

Google
This tastes terrible, someone please give me some history on why it’s popular. Let me start by saying the ppl are nice and they bring your ice-cream to your table. If you have taste buds you’ve been warned (don’t say I didn’t warn ya)The whip tastes like chalk with an artificial sweetener aftertaste. The ice-cream wasn’t creamy( very bland) If you want to go somewhere just to say you have been then go here for this, to take a picture BUT Dairy Queen is better and cheaper.

Google
Great variety of unique milkshakes in a fairly “vanilla” storefront. The shakes were very large - and a bit pricey - so two could easily share a single shake. Conveniently located near Broadway in downtown Nashville, it is great for foot traffic although parking can be problematic and expensive unless your visit to the Legendairy Milkshake Bar is combined with visits to other downtown attractions.

Megan Zakrewsky

Google
If you're going for the crazy milkshakes, they are definitely picture worthy. The menu made it a little confusing on how to order just regular ice cream. Overall, the place didn't feel as clean as I'm used to for this type of place, but perhaps it was just the time of day being near close.

Yelp
I visited Legendairy Milkshare Bar in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday, 4/14/24, around 5:30 PM. I decided to order the Rolling in the Cookie Dough milkshake in the 16oz jar. It came with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream, chocolate icing rim, chocolate chips, whipped cream, cookie dough bites, chocolate drizzle, and a chocolate chip cookie. It was one of the best-tasting milkshakes I had in a very long time. Not only did I love the flavor, but the presentation was nice as well. The price point of the milkshake was about $20 and it was worth every penny. The staff members were kind and fast with getting orders out. The indoor ambiance was clean, spacious, and vibrant (especially with the murals). I highly recommend coming to The Legendairy Milkshake Bar.

Yelp
Legendairy was on my list of places to go before getting to Nashville I was pleasantly surprised when it was up the block from my hotel. We ordered 2 mini shakes after the fact we noticed that the larger shake was a $1 more but I'm glad we ordered minis because we couldn't even finish the mini. We ordered the unicorn shake & the strawberry cheesecake. They were so good. I didn't really like the price but I was traveling so hey I guess anything goes . The service was good it was a large space & had cute photo opps.

Yelp
Cost to value is ultimately what keeps this dessert spot from being a five star stop. The prices for a milkshake are outrageous; thankfully, they were tasty and the vibe was great. Just away from Broadway, it was nice to veer away from the bars for some dessert. Fully customizable shakes with some premade gems available. I would say this is a one and done place, which is great for tourists like me. It is absolutely worth experiencing once.

D F.

Yelp
This place was our Nashville "top food spot". Lot of choices and not skimpy on the toppings. Even tho it was $18, it fed 3 of us, and became our lunch. Not a fancy ambiance was to only drawback. Downtown close to the bars. Highly recommend.

Michele R.

Yelp
Date of visit: February 23, 2024 We found this place quite by accident as soon as they opened. So we were the first ones there and this was probably a late breakfast for us! LOL! They had us at peanut butter and chocolate. Yes, It was $20, Yes, we were on vacation, No I wouldn't have spent this money or eaten it if I were not on vacation. It was amazing...and I did eat the peanut butter and reese's pieces on the rim, (as opposed to another review that said who does that!)

Chris B.

Yelp
Fun and novel. Busy but well staffed and good system. Enjoyed the s'mores shake - the 8oz was plenty.

Roger B.

Yelp
If you've ever been to Black tap, this is a specialty version of that except only for milkshakes. They have a variety of different milkshakes that are fabulous. We tried the cookie dough one, and it was really great! They make it and serve it to you. You can pick out whatever ice cream you want. This place is tucked away from the main Broadway area. It's a really great find. The ambience is casual. I would highly recommend coming back here for anybody visiting or staying in the area.

Yelp
Indulging in a colossal sweet tooth or torn between the allure of cake and the comfort of ice cream? Look no further - this place is your confectionery haven. Picture a nostalgic evening with your grandparents, where the word 'no' is nowhere to be found. It's a sugar rush, a sugar high - call it what you will. Whether it's a scorching summer day or a chilly evening craving, this spot beckons. I wholeheartedly recommend it to those seeking a departure from the ordinary ice cream joints. Imagine your milkshake crowned with a decadent slice of cheesecake or adorned with a generously sized cookie or an array of candies. With a repertoire of over 30 flavors and creative toppings, this place stands out. Bring your kids along for a whimsical treat or orchestrate a special ice cream date with your significant other. The cozy confines might require a bit of a wait during peak hours, but the experience is undoubtedly worth it. What's more, the cleanliness and the warmth of the staff add to the overall charm of this delightful establishment. It's an invitation to savor something different, a sweet escape that promises to be unlike any other.

Camelis N.

Yelp
In theory, this sounds like a phenomenal idea. However, the milkshakes are drastically overpriced and underwhelming. I couldn't gone to a local Carvel and been just as satisfied for a quarter of the price. Their menu is super weird because it's limited to these really fancy shakes or just regular ice cream. Whichever route you take, the price is equally as hefty. For the quality, I don't think it was worth it.

Dani O.

Yelp
Well, in Nashville, one must get a milkshake! The hubby and I were craving ice cream after an evening of entertainment. I had heard about this place from a coworker and decided to try it. We drove past the shop twice before we found it. It wasn't hard to find, apparently, we just weren't looking very well I had heard the milkshakes were fabulous, so I didn't even look at anything else on the menu. They had a couple of seasonal milkshakes that looked fabulous. So I got the Caramel Apple milkshake. I don't even know what exactly was in it, but it was AWESOME!! See pics. It was a like pricey but the experience and the goodness was worth it. While we were eating our milkshakes, there was a saxophonist playing some great music for us. It wasn't something that I would've ever thought I'd see in an ice cream shop, but it was great, and I loved the way he played.

Sam B.

Yelp
Visited for our second time while in Nashville and it was just as good as we remembered! The service was quite slow, but the line was very long so they were working as quickly as they could. The ambiance is very milkshake diner vibes which is so fun. These milkshakes are outrageous and delicious! Definitely visit when you're in Nashville.

Monica M.

Yelp
Everything about this place is yes. Don't mess around, just get the biggest size, it's only a dollar more. These things are huge, delicious, and there's flavors for everyone including kids. Fruity, chocolatey, beautiful?! All of the above. Don't ask questions- just do it. 10/10

Sam S.

Yelp
After seeing their creations on social media, we were excited to try Legendairy Milkshake Bar in Nashville. They have many creative and unique milkshake flavors that are beautifully decorated. At $18, it was an expensive milkshake, but at 16 ounces, it was plenty to share for two people. The kid sizes were less expensive, and the portions were more reasonable. If we came back, I'd order two kid-sized shakes in order to try different flavors.

Erna D.

Yelp
SKIP! I think it's a place that is definitely overhyped when I've had better ice cream! Ice cream creations at Cold Stones are 10x better! They look appetizing, and they're cute for photo ops and such, but the ice cream itself is just ice cream. A milkshake goes for about $18, the size of a regular mason jar. Lots of flavors to choose from and lots of toppings to add to your milkshakes/ice cream. Both ice cream and milkshakes are shareable portions! One scoop is enough for 2-3 people - I shared my cookie dough regular scoop with my partner, and there was still a leftover scoop.

Taylor R.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this milkshake bar is delicious and all the flavors are so creative. Great portion for the price. I will say they are best to share with someone but they are so worth it.

Taylor Y.

Yelp
This place is so cute and if you love milkshakes then this is a MUST HAVE. I drank almost the whole thing. 10/10 recommend every chance I get in Nashville.

Brittany B.

Yelp
My family and I walked all the way from our Airbnb to get vegan milkshakes only for their in-person menu to say their vegan ice cream supplier has gone out of business. Would be nice if their Google listing was also updated.

Ryan C.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. The pictures speak for themselves, and in the words of Nike, "just do it". Don't worry, the sugar buzz will subside.

Bill B.

Yelp
I was highly disappointed here. The $18 for the shake I tossed in the trash was hardly worth it. I have to say that they should go back to basics and trim some of the crap from these shakes. No one eats all the extras covering the glass. You can see by what is left behind I had the strawberry cheesecake and the cheesecake was ok but the other stuff just ruined it. Well over $80 on 4 shakes with tip. I would say that all together we maybe finished a total of 1

Ali M.

Yelp
Just as an update -- I echo the point made about parking, this information was just shared for folks who typically rely/need a car to get around and might find this challenging to access

Dakota M.

Yelp
I was craving a milkshake, so my friend and I shared the Cookie Monster. It was a basic milkshake with a bunch of frills. I think it's a great place to take your kids, but if you're looking for a top tier milkshake I wouldn't say this is the place.

Brooke N.

Yelp
Yummmmmmmm!! This is a hidden gem. Sure a ton of places have milkshakes but these ones are our go to when we are about to head home.

Kellianne H.

Yelp
The most fancy milkshake I've ever had. Tons of options to pick from and you can even make your own! Coffee ice cream was delicious, and the donut on top was perfect. We had 1 shared between the two of us and it was PLENTY. They also have water for sale and a water fountain by the bathrooms

Samantha R.

Yelp
The coolest milkshake spot ever! They have so many cool milkshakes on the menu and a good selection of ice cream. The milkshake was soo good and had a thick consistency to it, which I love! The inside looks kinda like a diner with the chairs and the milkshake bar in the middle. If you're craving something sweet, this place won't disappoint you!

Alexandra M.

Yelp
$16 for a regular and $17 for twice the amount? This is the problem with America. I had the peanut butter one (regular, to go) but you'll want to keep in mind that you need to work it down into the to go container. They smeared peanut butter on the inside of the cup and chocolate sauce on the bottom so every bite was a little different and you could mix what you got.

Veronica C.

Yelp
Well, I've seen this place a few times while driving on 3rd and been waiting to try it. The day came on my son's birthday . We took an awesome adventure to downtown (we rode the bus and took the train back!) and we stop here to eat some ice cream/milkshake. Their menu has two options, create your own or get a signature one. I was overwhelmed by this many choices but I was happy to see a birthday cake one on their signature, it even comes with a cupcake and a candle! So we definitely got that one and I also ordered the sweet and salty one, it has a full slide of cheese cake . It was delicious! I didn't get to try the birthday cake as my kids devoured it but I can attest for mine. The place is big and spacious with a good amount of seating. In the summer maybe not so much seating but it was crowded enough when I went and my stroller wasn't blocking anyone, ha! The bath rooms and clean and they do have a baby changing station in the bigger/handicap stall. Prices are reasonable I'll say for the style of the milkshake, for both 16oz shakes and 3 waters was $48 and some change. They also have merchandise for sale but you can't take the cups and I didn't see them displayed for sale. They have a 95 score and a little cute display to distract you from it, so of course I blurred the score on my picture. The service definitely could get some updates and energy on the cashier side but the lady that was bringing the desserts out was friendly and attentive. Overall, definitely recommend.

Mahes P.

Yelp
When In Nashville ... why the heck not!! Yes, the milkshake prices are insanely overpriced, but it's the experience, the look, and the taste that makes it worthwhile. We went midday and split the 16oz cookie dough. Perfect for the two of us. The 8oz looks like a tall shot glass and based upon the prices, just go big and get the 16oz! The place was busy, but by no means packed. Ignore the comments on Yelp about the price. If you want to pay for a 5.00 milkshake go to Dairy Queen.

Bacong F.

Yelp
Very pricey for a milk shake but it is popular for people with a sweat tooth. The restaurant is fairly big to fit a good crowd. It was not crowded after Super Bowl around 10:00. It opens until 11 pm and was around the corner by the bar area.

Amanda L.

Yelp
This banana split was something you had to take by the horns or by the banana on top! It was deliciously huge! The chocolate nuts on the cups mixed with the sprinkles, banana and whipped cream was great! And then there was more...the actual shake with chunks of strawberry!! Some may say this was legendary, I mean Legendairy!! Definitely worth sharing, no way I could have made it through this one alone!!

Melanie D.

Yelp
After Super Bowl, I was craving a milkshake so I found this place! Tbh, I don't know they currently have 3.5 stars. I mean, for three milkshakes it was over $50. But carpe diem when on vacation and the high prices pretty match where we are from, lol. The shop is super cute and spacious. We went a little pass 10pm. Not many customers, but after we ordered, other customers trickled in. The wait for order took longer than expected, but totally worth it! I tried the s'mores and oreos milkshakes...oh my! Milkshake happiness overcame me. Favorite was Oreo. They do have many standard options plus their monthly specials, which is cool. Highly recommend if you have a sweet tooth!

Marci G.

Yelp
Fun treat in Nashville! Their milkshakes are over the top and delicious. Hubs and I shared the cookie dough milkshake and it was absolutely worth it! Go, you won't be disappointed

Xenia M.

Yelp
Our group came here for dessert and we had a great time. There are tons of options to choose from however the price is a bit steep. On a busy day orders do take a while to come out. My milkshake took about 20 minutes but it was very tasty! If I come back I would probably get a smaller size since the portions are pretty big.

J K.

Yelp
Second time here and for sure try it once but don't think I ever need to go back. Ok ice cream and gluttonous reeealy expensive shakes. It was good and shared a 16oz and that was more than enough. When you consider ice cream is 7+ elsewhere though it may be worth it? Other reviewers were spot on and the photos do them all justice.

Arthur M.

Yelp
Yo don't miss this place great milkshake and ice cream hands downtown urge best in Nashville kid from Brooklyn and I approve this message

Lisa W.

Yelp
$20 for a milkshake that took over 20 minutes to come out. They weren't busy but was behind. There were people waiting but no one in line. Some customers before us got very frustrated and voiced their opinions loudly, I think they waited over 30 minutes and they were there before us! I think they had only 1 worker than 2 came later to help. Tons of dirty cups on tables. It's like they don't care about service and timing. For a $20 milkshake you would expect a little more. Probably half of it was whip cream too. I mean it's fun, delicious and Instagram worthy but I wouldn't come back.

Arvin V.

Yelp
Great dessert after a hearty meal. One can be shared between two people. Good service. Cute ambiance

Kenya H.

Yelp
I'm not a big ice cream guy so take my review with a grain of salt. Overall it was just ok but cost way to much.Be assured you are paying for the experience and the artwork of the milkshake. I personally would rate cookout milkshakes, stone cold creamery and even Dairy Queen over this place. It is a beautiful master piece but the taste is just average and to me not worthy the price. So if you are an ice cream lover check it out but if your so so like me skip it and your wallet will thank me.

Betty L.

Yelp
We had good luck because there wasn't a line at 11 am on a Sunday. We only got one shake because it is quite pricy at $18 dollars. It was nice and clean and we found street parking for $2.25 an hr. We went to Painters Alley afterwards. I wouldn't return.

J E.

Yelp
One word - "Meh!" Seriously.., the service I got from the lady taking my order was fine enough, but the prices are seriously and literally triple what they should be ($16 for a small shake?!?!?) and the end result of what I got (I ordered a small) was like a single scoop of ice cream with a ton of junk thrown on top to make it look worthy. Flavors weren't even that good. There's a shake place in PA that I've enjoyed a few times called Milkshake Factory and the product they turn out is AMAZING and it's literally 1/3 the price of this place! This place could learn from them.

Victor D.

Yelp
I've been to other places that do similar style milkshakes. The shake was good not great. Pricier than expected. And took 20 mins to get the shakes. The ambiance is cool and employees were super nice.

Leon B.

Yelp
Great and cold. Did not spare the ice cream Plan on staying awhile to eat Busy so order and sit, enjoy the show

John M.

Yelp
The Legendairy Milkshake Bar is an iconic institution in Nashville, Tennessee and definitely is a destination to head towards when you are looking to get something indulgent and decadent in the terms of something for a dessert or simply a sweet snack. The milkshakes are pretty impressive to look at. It has been long said that you eat with your eyes first and these are definitely impressive. The staff is friendly and professional and added to the overall experience. The ambiance of the place is pretty cool, too. The Legendairy Milkshake Bar is definitely a cool to head towards for an indulgent milkshake, and I would definitely recommend a visit here when you are in Nashville, Tennessee. By the way, did you catch the word pun in the business name? The Legendairy Milkshake Bar, with Legendairy to include the word "dairy" in it? Just another cool thing about this place.

Daniel E.

Yelp
So glad that I stopped here while visiting one of my favorite cities in the world!!!! Amazing customer service with a lot of fun. Energy! The staff is terrific. Wow on the milkshake, a chocolate, caramel and oreo concoction that was memorable and decadent. It was spectacular, and I didn't care how many calories were being ingested. Definitely returning my next visit.

Rylie L.

Yelp
I mean look at this thing!!!! So good and huge so definitely try to split it if you can! This is the cookies & cream one (I forget the name). there are so many different options when ordering so it can be overwhelming at first. Staff is super helpful, parking is nonexistent.

Lynne R.

Yelp
This is a fun, touristy milkshake place near the honky tonks in Nashville. There are many options for flavors or you can create your own combination. We got the Milkshake and Cookies. There are two sizes and each are pretty expensive so we got the large to share. Unfortunately, most of the size is the decorative top of whipped cream and cookies. There's very little milkshake. Also, they decorate the sides of the glass with marshmallow. I wished they had just put the marshmallow in the shake. Everything was tasty and it was fun because we were on vacation.

Pamela R.

Yelp
We spotted this place and decided to stop by for a sweet treat. The shakes had a lot more than just ice cream, very pretty and tasty with a whole banana and peanut butter, peanuts bits covering the rim of the glass of the Elvis. Death by chocolate was pure chocolate with a brownie on top. My only critique is the cost, very overpriced, in my opinion. We got the two shakes with a cost nearly of nearly $40. Dollars! If you could take the glass mugs with you, the cost may have been justified. Shakes are just good-be ready to pay a premium for the over the top presentation.

Gina D.

Yelp
We really liked these shakes, they are fresh and delicious, with some crazy flavors and food combos. One of the current shakes of the month has a chicken wing in it. We tried the cheesecake and potato chip shakes and the Cookie Monster, both were super tasty. You'll wait a little bit if they are busy but totally worth the wait.

Michelle N.

Yelp
Legendairy was quite a fun place to go! My coworker and i kept staring at it after our escape game. We begged our manager the next day to take us. Luckily, our wishes were answered, and we had a delicious time. Our shakes came out in a timely manner and were very neat. There's a dairy free version (legendairy...?). My coworker said it was amazing and perfect for the lactose intolerant peeps! There was a little bit of a wait, but there was a lot of people, so no biggie

Jonathan G.

Yelp
I ordered a plain vanilla milkshake twice. Each time took 20+ minutes. Super slow and too long of a wait for an over priced milkshake. The interior is like a grade school cafeteria with uncomfortable chairs. While you wait for your over priced item you sit on the most u comfortable chairs in Nashville. The speakers playing bad music combined with the loud noise of everyone talking at once doesn't help either. You have to yell at the person next to you to be heard. Advice to the business - improve the acoustics so the cashier can hear what's being ordered. Most people don't finish their milkshakes. They're not as good as they look.

Rosalinda S.

Yelp
We went here because it was recommended. First, know that the shakes are expensive, and that you are paying more for the presentation. However, they were tasty. We both found that 8oz size was plenty. The place is spacious and looks like your typical ice cream parlor. The staff are friendly and the young lady who waited on us recommended the strawberry shortcake, which was very good. Our service was pretty fast. The only negative was the price.
