I genuinely love this spot. We preferred the salads over the sandwich but the salads were literally worth a revisit. --- drinks --- Cortado ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - what you'd expect Sparkling matcha ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - not bitter at all, I adored this - super light on the sweetness which I adore --- food --- Harvest salad ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - literally the most perfect salad - the arugula was fresh and not bitter - the flavor combination was perfect Kale salad ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - get this if you want kale - love this, little too sweet but love it - maybe would ask for dressing on side Waldorf salad ⭐⭐⭐ - little too heavy on the dressing so made it inedible for me - would only order this with dressing on the side next time Turkey club ⭐⭐⭐✨ - just ok for me, mostly bc it needed some juice to it for me- like a jam or a tomato - but the ingredients were so there - the bacon was so amazing, it wasn't soggy or limp, it was substantial but not fatty - the turkey wasn't dry - the apple was clever - my boyfriend didn't love the cheese but I did - the chips were classic

First time in and I am so impressed. Plenty of off-street parking, fast and friendly service, exceptional coffee, and delicious salads. The shop is cozy, very clean, and a perfect place to work and refuel with high-quality food during a lunch break. I’ll definitely be making this my regular lunch spot!

Omg… love love LOVE the vibes here! Such a cute cozy cafe to visit on a rainy day like this. The cafe has high ceilings and big glass windows make the cafe feel spacious. The greeneries also make the space extra refreshing and relaxing. There’s also a loft where you can climb up the stairs and find more seats. There are also some outlets for those who want to work from the cafe. I ordered the oat milk latte — pretty good!

The coffee is soooo good! They also have great breakfast options. The interior is sophisticated, like a hidden gem. I can imagine coming here for a cute date or just as a casual breakfast spot. The seating is adorable and inviting. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a chai latte with rose syrup, and both were absolutely delicious! I can’t wait to come back again!

I don’t usually write reviews but am so excited about this new gem in Portland I had to share! I’ve visited Lei Brilla a couple of times since it opened last week and have enjoyed every experience. The coffee and chai are some of the best I’ve had. The salads are fresh, sandwiches are delicious (especially with Mama Lil’s peppers), and also loved the vegan baked goods and smoothie. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with beautiful indoor and outdoor seating options. The perfect venue for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks (wine, beer, kombucha, CBD seltzer). I can’t wait to keep exploring the menu!

One of Portland’s newest cafes (just 3 months old)! 🌟 They’re all about creating a cozy, community-driven space, and honestly, they’ve nailed the vibe. The space is *huge*, *warm*, and flooded with natural light—perfect for those insta-worthy shots! The coffee/bar setup is super cute and grabs your attention right when you walk in. I stopped by early and tried the Cortado—solid execution, but nothing groundbreaking (gave me Starbucks-level vibes, tbh). The black coffee? *Mid*. But hey, for $3 and a generously sized cup, it’s not a bad deal. Pricing overall seemed affordable, but I was surprised to see them charge an extra $1 for flavored coffee—just for the flavor itself! That really should be included in the price, especially when you're already paying $6-$7. The place was pretty empty during my visit, but they offer brunch, lunch, dinner, and even happy hour *daily*. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving a chill spot. Just don’t go in expecting to have your coffee standards blown away! ☕✨

Their coffee is amazing! We also tried their lunch options - house kale salad, chicken pesto sammie and a simple toast with almond butter. All of them were delicious. Highly recommend this place!

First time visiting today! Wish I had found this place sooner (it’s only been open since 10/2024). Vibes are very chill. Great place to come and focus or relax. Lots of seating. Super vegan friendly since they don’t charge extra for alternative milks AND they sell pastries from Shoofly Vegan Bakery - both rare finds in NW. They have a good amount of breakfast and lunch menu items but we didn’t order anything today. Definitely will have to come back and try their food. It doesn’t look like any of their food items are designated vegan but definitely can be made vegan by subtraction. Happy to have this place in the neighborhood! 💛

Walking through the neighborhood, I was craving a cinnamon roll -- surprised that the neighboring Dragonfly Cafe and Saint Honore didn't have one. So stopped into Lei Brilla. Probably my last time doing so. Today is partly sunny, and about 68 degrees outside. As soon as I walked in, I hit a wall of heat. It was very warm inside. They happened to have a cinnamon roll, which I purchased. The payment system automatically tacked on an 18% gratuity (which is fine, my standard is 20%, but I don't agree with their method). That made the cinnamon roll over $8. While I was ordering, I considered getting a matcha latte, but saw a squirt bottle of room-temperature, premixed matcha on the counter. Did the fact that they opted for this efficiency (at the expense of quality) make for a cheaper matcha latte? No! So I skipped. Before digging into the cinnamon roll, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. Doing so means passing the open kitchen, where I was hit with yet ANOTHER wave of heat. I felt bad for the three employees, who were working in a probably 80-degree space. Seemed inhumane. I'm getting tired of writing, but will say the cinnamon roll was dry, with insufficient glaze to moisten my bites, and it was almost absent of cinnamon.

This always looks like a cute place when I drive by it so decided to check it out on a Saturday morning. The sun was out so it was pretty popular for the seating right outside. The espresso drinks were on point, but I wasn't a fan of the sandwiches. I had the chicken pesto sandwich, and immediately the chicken tasted really processed, like the kind of chicken you get at an airport cafeteria. I also didn't taste much pesto, mostly the balsamic vinaigrette that seemed to over power any of the pesto, if there were any in the sandwich. Overall it's a cute vibe, and maybe the other dishes might be OK. Service was mixed where the counter people was friendly but the busboy seemed a bit reserved.

Where to start? The food is excellent and executed nicely. Everything always tastes really fresh. I've been in about 3-4 times now and am never disappointed. The decor is really cute and when the weather is nice it's a delight to sit on the patio. This is a type of atmosphere I could spend multiple hours in. I watched before the opening how much the owner put her heart and soul into it, and how much she cares by the little details. It's also nice to have another place pop up that has healthy options. You won't be disappointed to come here!

Just had a really tasty chicken, avocado sandwich and an apple cake pastry and oat milk latte. All very tasty. I've been here twice and both times gotten the food to go and the service is quick, which is convenient. The space inside is really nice so I hope I can dine in sometime. Friendly staff too.

I visited the place just for some drinks in between errands and it's a really cute shop with two levels to enjoy your drinks/food. The pastry cabinet did look good but on a hot day it was the perfect time for a matcha latte. The matcha here was pretty solid but i'm curious to try their coffee and sandwiches on another visit. Staff was nice and plenty of natural light to do work also. The indoor/outdoor seating were both pretty popular so be sure to come early to grab you're ideal spot.

Definitely a nice looking comfortable cafe with nice people working there. We got a matcha latte and it was nice and warm, tasted good. Funny latte art... my granddaughter thought it looked like a butt.

Service was mid. They forgot my cookie. We ordered a matcha and cappuccino. Not impressive cappuccino and matcha was alright although it came in the wrong size. Many better spots to get a truly "specialty coffee shop" cappuccino. Aside from that the atmosphere is nice but too much political propaganda posted on the door, on the bulletin board, on the counter and the coffee machine. I just want my coffee not your political beliefs being shoved down my throat.

Adorable cafe. Turkey club is absolutely delicious. Smoothies are fantastic too. Cozy neighborhood nook in Nw.

Ambience is the cutest! Great place to study or catch up with a friend. Prices are a tad on the expensive side.
