10 Essential Restaurants in Third Ward | Eater Houston

"The “house of lamb and ramen” makes good on its promise with rich, spicy bowls of lamb ramen, Cajun rice bowls, and a number of surf and turf lamb and seafood dishes. Travel through the ramen menu, which includes such combinations as chicken and sausage; lamb, lobster, and shrimp; and chicken, shrimp, and lobster. There are plentiful wing options, too. Order them rubbed or sauced with spice rubs and flavors such as hot and honey, sweet spice, and lemon pepper." - Kayla Stewart

First time visiting and I definitely will be back. Food was 10/10. Kamya served me and my friends and she was very helpful and patience with us as we tried to order.

Let’s start with the flies and awful smell in the parking lot. How do you justify charging 26 dollars for 50 cent ramen noodles with toppings! Especially when ramen noodles taste better! I literally saw the packs in the hallway! The Cajun pasta looks horrible and tasted bland. I exchanged my noodles for a chicken sandwich which is definitely different than the pictures on instagram! Very disappointed The waitress was the only pleasant thing about the experience!

Food is DELICIOUS! Flavor was on point, portions were also good. The inside seating is limited but they also have outdoor space. If parallel parking by the building make sure you don't block the sidewalks to avoid a ticket.

We were surprised to walk in and see that it was such a small establishment, but the food... Unbelievably good! We ordered the salmon tacos and the seafood fries and neither selection disappointed! The servings are generous and the flavor is incredible! As there is only a single table in the restaurant we were told by our hostess Lady K that we could get drinks from D Bar next door and take our food with us. I really did try to eat all of my food because it was so good, but I could not finish it all! I highly recommend visiting! You will not be disappointed! It was our first visit, but we will definitely be back!

I placed my order at 10:50pm yesterday. I didn’t get my food til almost 12 pm. My food wasn’t good at all. I walked up there at 111:13pm. when the text said it was ready. The lady in the front said it wasn’t. They had to change grease and stuff. She said get her 15 mins. I called around 11:30pm. She said she will call me when it’s ready like I was bothering her. I got my food. Came home my Mac and cheese had no cheese on it. It was just noodles. The customer service was not good. And the wait time. If I am paying something like this it needs to be my money worth for sure. I am not coming back. And drive 30 mins just to visit this place. I deserve a refund for sure. This is crazy and I didn’t even eat my food once I saw my mac. I am very disappointed in this matter and don’t worry about me coming snack. Unorganized unprofessional and the food was lack poor.

Massive menu choices. I LOVE the ramen dishes. Service is cool. I've never had a bad experience here. This pic is the Lobster & Lamb Ramen🤤

I ate at your restaurant July 3 and placed an order online, but unfortunately, I did not receive everything I paid for. I was told I would receive a refund, but I still haven’t gotten the money back. To be honest, the food I did receive was basic and not worth the overpriced amount I was charged. Order was placed at 1:30pm didn’t receive the food until 3:15. Don’t waste your time going here.

Everything was really good. I went there 2 days in the row. A good friend and I decided to meet up there since I was finally in town the 1st day. I had the lamb shrimp and lobster ramen with the lamb and shrimp pizza. The next day I had the seafood pizza with the chicken shrimp and lamb ramen. Everything was good. The only thing was my ramen did not have enough broth the second day. I enjoyed the fact that each ingredient had their own flavor but they all came together when combined.

Yelp
Rickie took our order, very knowledgeable about the menu and was very patient with my friends their first time their. We ate at the restaurant and the owner was very cool and we took a picture with him. The foid was amazing we had the Ramen noodles with lobster, pasta with shrimp, chicken and sausage. Everything was on point. If my friend enjoy then it's 5 star.

Yelp
This place was amazing; from the customer service to the food. We were the only ones in the restaurant, although the place is small inside the food more than makes up for it. It didn't take a long time for our food to arrive. They even had a big screened tv to keep the customers preoccupied. We ordered the lamb and seafood ramen, it was full of flavor with plenty of meat. I would definitely recommend it. This was our first time here and will definitely return; there's so many other options on the menu we would like to try.

Yelp
The service was cool, the lady/manager was nice enough to come out and check on our food to see how it was. She replaced the old, cold, chewy fries they gave us initially with fries that were much better & fried in fresh oil. They got my order wrong by forgetting to add SHRIMP in my lamb and shrimp ramen lol. I waited for them to remake it but they just heated shrimp & put it in my plate lol... by the time they gave me the plate back the broth was no longer warm, so I basically Had warm shrimp In room/cool temp broth. (TERRIBLE) It didn't taste good at all, the ramen was not fully cooked in the room temp Broth and was chewy with semi hard pieces. Man it was just all around bad, I did not enjoy this meal AT ALL. My friend had the oxtail ramen with lobster tho and her food was pretty good. Idk what happened with mine. I had seen this place on Instagram and was looking forward to trying it. I'm not sure if this location is separate from The one I saw on insta but the establishment is SUPER SMALL. There's only a couple of tables inside and patio seating that is just awkwardly positioned. I won't be back.

Yelp
My guy friend and I were so excited to support this beautiful looking black business. Annnnd YIkEs! Leighton's is located in a poppin clublike district in Houston. Parking is limited and space inside the restaurant is even more so. The photos and videos online make sure to strategically disguise the sheer "tinyness" of the space. Literally two highboy tables, one large booth, a checkout counter, and a hallways of bathrooms. Luckily we were ordering to go so the cramped environment didn't stop the show. But this is definitely not the place to come with a big group, at all! (They do have patio seating, which can hold a few more groups, which I could see as a major plus, given the neighborhood.) The menu is vast, with everything from their famous ramen, to tacos, quesadillas, catfish, lobster shrimp! We were so excited to eat!!! The food DOES come out fast with is a MAJOR PLUS, especially when it comes to dishes that would seemingly take lots of time. But maybe that is the setback. In efforts to make food fast and accessible, maybe they are skimping in the flavor department. Maybe in conscientious effort to look out for OUR COMMUNITY, they are holding back on the salt and fat, because those two were certainly lacking, IN MY OPINION! We ordered the shrimp and lobster Cajun pasta and the oxtail ramen. However as we sat, waiting for our food, I decided to also order a side of Mac and Cheese, to eat on the ride home. To wet our whistles, if you will. The Mac happened to be the tipping point! It was off putting to have to fight for parking. It was concerning to see the size of the restaurant. But when that $7.99 palm sized amount of watery Mac and cheese came out. My faith was lost. Here we go again, yet another BOB, that's literally out here to gyp their customers. The Mac was the size of my hand, literally! (See the photos) Leightons could have put this in a cup sized to-go container and it still wouldn't make up for the watery consistency and the over garlic powdered taste. But, for it to be the size of my right pinky and cost me almost $10 with tip, the Mac was a LACK! Lacking in flavor and consistency! The protein on the cajun pasta wasn't bad. But the noodles are overcooked and the alfredoesque sauce was completely lacking in flavor and texture. I want an Alfredo to be alfredoing and this ain't that! The only thing that save the entire $80+ meal was the oxtail ramen. The oxtails were small and sparing, which I wasn't surprised by, but the flavor was BUSSIN! The noodles weren't over cooked or soggy, even after a 20 minutes drive home, with piping hot food. But the sauce and the oxtails truly saved this entire experience!!! Overall my friend and I agreed that we were let down, disappointed even, but that the ramen stole the show! As leighton's states that this is their famous dish, I'm glad not to be dissatisfied by it, but I would really hope that if they stay at this price point, and in this neighborhood, in that small space, that they at least step it up in be flavor department. I'm not trying to be harsh, I'm just trying to be honest. I want to support us, but I also don't want to just give money away for the sake of giving it.

Yelp
Believe the hype! Food was AMAZING! Atmosphere was AMAZING! Customer Service AMAZING! Seating is a major issue if you come in groups. Ordering ahead is recommended! Other than that, loved everything, very flavorful & lamb/steak was tender! Ordered: Watermelon Slush (no alcohol) Surf n Turf Ramen Lamb, Lobster, Shrimp Ramen

Yelp
My niece loves ramen so we decided to try this place. This was sooo good. Flavorful and definitely getting the bang for your buck.

Yelp
I really wanted to like Leighton's! Considering their social media really goes hard on advertising their ramen and I mean, it's in their name..I had to try the ramen. Plus, I absolutely love ramen, so I kinda had high hopes. Unfortunately, they truly disappointed. I ordered the lobster and lamb ramen. The noodles were instant ramen noodles. The egg was hard boiled, and the protein was overcooked. The seasoning in my opinion wasn't even the best. For the price, the quality is just not there. My friend and I wanted to sit down and enjoy lunch, however after entering the restaurant we realized seating was very limited, which was a disappointment as well. I mean, it's a ramen spot...why is it tailored as to go restaurant? Most people want to sit down and eat their ramen fresh and hot. There wasn't much service, but the employees were very nice! For those who really enjoy authentic ramen, I would not recommend this spot at all, but their other dishes may be great.

Yelp
Food was mid, or maybe just overhyped on instagram. Wanted to try the ramen with lobster, however they stated they were sold out which was a bummer. Almost left with the wrong order after a 45 minute wait. Lamb chop was nothing special. Ramen base had good flavor.

Yelp
Food was definitely trash. I hate that social media hypes these restaurants up and food is garbage. I spent $67.71 here and didn't get a receipt (shouldn't have to ask for one). Inside is terribly small. Can't sit inside and eat. 1 big table and 2 bar stool tables for 2 people. Ramen is out the package from the grocery store. Unseasoned broth. Flavorless. I've made ramen at home and it was better. The Lamb Chops tasted similar to eating a shoe (if I could guess how a shoe would taste). I've NEVER tasted a lamb chop that tasted like this. The texture was funny tasting. Not a good texture either. The rice bowl was definitely trash. Rice tasted funny. Definitely unseasoned. They season the veggies, and the protein and leave the rice buttery and unseasoned. Food looks good, but doesn't taste good. Salmon was overcooked. I like my salmon cooked medium. I really wanted to like this place. But unfortunately the food was not good. So, that was my one and only time going to Leighton's.

Yelp
I saw this place on ig and decided to give it a try. I was shocked to find that it was as small as it was. I thought it was a sit down restaurant. Don't be fooled like me. I def came dressed to impress with nowhere to sit. But, that doesn't take away from my actual experience. I ordered the oxtail ramen and was not disappointed. It was amazing. The person that took our order said it would be ready within 20 mins so we hopped across the street and got a cocktail while we waited. When I say, the moment I dug into my food I was already ready to come back again. It was amazing. I'm upset I didn't get any pictures but that tells you everything you need to know. Run, don't walk!!!

Yelp
Not the best but surely wasn't the worst ramen I've had. The ramen is instant but the seasoning made it taste ok. I asked for sausage to be added in my seafood ramen. The seafood were cooked well. Crab legs were good. They were out of lamb chop egg rolls. I tried their oxtails quesadilla, DELICIOUS! Sitting is VERY limited. We went there with no one inside and had the end of their long booth to ourselves. I think we got got off $10 to park lol but it's all good double o d good.

Yelp
Wanted to love it! Let me first start off by saying, we were wanting to love this place. The facility is small not much seating and was packed. We weren't greeted when we walked in, I actually stuff there for a minute then said I'm here for a pick up. The person was just going to ignore me. Smh We placed our order online, it gave us a pick up time of 6:30 ish, we got there a few minutes later intentionally and was told it wasn't ready. They did not give us an updated time it would potentially be ready, she just said it ain't ready and turned around to do other things. lol Fine, we went across the street and came back at 7:30 it still wasn't ready. We ended up getting our food around 7:42pm. We ordered the seafood nachos, lamb n lobster ramen n the fried seafood rice. Hubby didn't like any of the food, it was all just ok. I can say maybe we are not their targeted audience, it was greasy and just really heavy with very little flavor. Hope y'all have a better experience.

Yelp
They definitely doing it right at Leighton's House of Lamb + Ramen. The food and service is always on point, and is made in a timely manner. A nice serving size at a reasonable price. The Lamb quesadillas are usually my go to. Right in the heart of Third Ward, if your In Houston you definitely wanna check this place out you won't be disappointed. 5 Stars from me, I'll be back again !
google avatar

Briann R.

Yelp
I was told that you can get a free hookah with your order if you are sitting inside, however I got my food to go so I can not confirm that. Only street parking is available so factor that into your transportation decision when you come by. The place is very cute and brightens the neighborhood. I went in knowing that this wasn't going to be a traditional ramen place, but I wasn't ecstatic about the food. Everything in the ramen was well done. The egg was boiled until it was gray, the crab was hard to peel, and the lamb was kind of chewy. Traditional ramen is considered a soup, but this ramen came with little to no broth. Also the polish sausage had tomatoes and cheese on top. My personal preference is the traditional onions and bell pepper. The sausage it self was fine but the way it was dressed was less favorable. In summary I am not sure if I'll get ramen from here again but I am willing to try the other things on their menu.

Yelp
The customer service was so unfriendly. They act as though it's an issue when you're undecided on what you want to order. This was my first time trying this restaurant and definitely my last. For some of the things that they have on the menu is pretty high might I add. I ended up catfish and shrimp, as well as the lamb eggrolls, and my friends also have some of their most popular Ramen and none of us liked our food honestly. Everything that we ordered that lamb and it didn't taste like lamb, so I'm not sure if they actually lamb and just taste like some beef. I eat lamb all the time and lamb has a distinct flavor so you know you're eating lamb, and I definitely did not taste it. The catfish was pretty decent. The fries had way too much pepper on it . And for the price, They only give you one fish fillet and a little bit of shrimp and fries and I was very on the way with the serving size for the price. Needless to say again this was my first and my last time, trying this restaurant, it just was a letdown. And it's in the spot where parking is horrible so that's another factor and why I would not go back. There really isn't any ambience the place is super small to go because of this. if you'd like to try it, go and make your own opinion but for me, it's a no

Yelp
Honest review. If you LOVE Ramen, and you are close enough, and you don't mind paying $30 or move, then it maybe right for you. On the other hand, if you just like Ramen, but hate places where you can NOT sit down because it has no seating space so you can sit and eat, that's loud inside and out, that doesn't have adequate or better yet only Street Parking, that will have your cashiers on a FaceTime call while ringing you up.... Then this might be your place. My cashier was nice but not attentive. I had to ask questions twice cause he was busy on his own call. There was literally no where no sit. The pictures do a good job of hiding the fact that they only have ONE booth. I did not want to sit outside because the patio was cramped with all the. Dj equipment and cords. Last thing I need is to blow an eardrum or trip over something in the dark. The food is not bad. Really it's fine. But I just don't love Ramen noodles enough to inconvenience my self in so many other ways for just okay plus I drove across town to try this place and it took me another 10 minutes to find street parking 2blocks away. Not my vibe. Won't be coming back. Sorry

Yelp
When I say this is a gem in HTX! The only ramen I have ever had is store bought. So to try a restaurant that specializes in ramen I was skeptical! The venue is small yet cozy and cute. The staff was patient as 4 of us were trying to figure out what to eat. I was expecting a waiter lol. But you go right to the counter to order. I ordered chicken and lamb ramen and OMGGGGGG I'm hooked! Comes with an egg and a full lamb chop. I also tried my home girl oxtail ramen, I had to stop before I ate hers and mine! Oxtail fell right off the bone!!! All of the food was Seasoned to perfection!!! Not too salty, not bland! Presentation was pretty, service was exceptional! And the portion was big enough to feed 2! Although I wouldn't share lol. I saved mine and ate it when I got home. I will definitely be going back asap!! I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
Ran across Leighton's IG and was inspired to give it a try. I took my friends since she is a huge lover of ramen as well. We went on a Wednesday, they open from 11am-2am, but online and Apple Maps says closed and opens at 4pm, brought that to Jaleel attention, First off, it's next to D Bar, so definitely capturing the club goers who have appetites because their open til 2am. Their menu is spectacular and has SO MANY OPTIONS! From when we walked in, only thing I can say is the place is TINY! You would be lucky if you can sit at their table inside that's just one huge tables. Recommendation: TO GO your meal. Thank me later! Okay, back to the food, I ordered the lamb&shrimp ramen recommended by Jaleel, I believe it's his name, he helped pick which meal to choose. The food! The lamb and shrimp ramen was immaculate. 8.5/10. Only reason why they didn't a 9 was because they have carrots in there and they just didn't taste right. Also, I found an EGGSHELL in my food! Told Jaleel And he offered to give me something but I didn't want anything. Just wanted him to be aware especially if you are the best ramen in Houston. They should have those bean sprouts, cilantro, and corn if they wanna add vegetables! Also shrimp was overcooked for sure. It had little pieces of lamb and lamb is grilled and then sauced. No alcohol is serviced here. Only their slushie green or red. We got bottled waters and really good service by Jaleel. Broth is extremely flavorful and I will recommend this place all day long. I'll be back to try something else for sure!. Food was $28 and water was $3. Overall, I would come back again, this time to try wings!

Yelp
So... I had to wait a few days until I could clearly think it out and post responsibly and honestly! So what brought me here was social media and I'll say social media is definitely their friend... my wife and I are avid ramen eaters and we also prepare ramen often at home so there is a bar we expect to be met... Leightons claims to have have Houston's best ramen but I beg to differ. 1. Strike one... the ramen was top ramen in some boiled water with minimal seasoning... a true ramen has a real broth that's been crafted with a few ingredients... the shrimp was som bag shrimp with no flavor and my wife's lobster tail was overcooked with tooo much elasticity... the crawfish in both were over cooked... 2. The order was a dine in and they made an error and made it to go... instead of making it fresh the young sister @ the counter simply dumped it in a bowl making it look like some a kid at home rushed and made... 3. I ordered a slush and my wife a water... the slush was freaking awesome and the water was a room temp hill country fare water... at that point it was over... we took the food and left... actually threw it away... 71$ ticket wasted... we went and ate somewhere else The inside was nice in one area but very unsanitary in many places and I'm Sure the health dept has not been there in some time... I will never ever even attempt again although I've heard good things but the people raving had remedial palates... I wish them luck but I'll play in traffic before I eat that again... On a final note this was a Thursday and my wife and I were very nauseous the whole next day and some going into Saturday so I believe the seafood may have been bad.
google avatar

Shanice C.

Yelp
Their social media is propaganda. The place is very tiny and it's not really dine in, the seating is outside, but it's too cold to sit out there on today. The girl taking the orders has a very bad attitude, it is nasty and it stink. She's a very young girl and she needs a lot of customer service training. The food was completely awful my friend and I both spent $30+ on a bowl of Ramen and a bottle of water. The Ramen broth tasted like sewage juice. We are so hurt because we really wanted the food as she visited from Louisiana. I would not even allow my worst enemy to eat this. I'm sorry that I have to be completely honest.
google avatar

Shambrika S.

Yelp
The lamb ramen was delicious. Also ordered the Cajun rice- asked for spicy and they chose to add more boil seasoning- so of course that made it salty and couldn't eat that.

Aniyah T.

Yelp
I love ramen and after finding out that this was a black owned business I definitely had to give this spot a try. Unfortunately the quality of the food was underwhelming for the price. I ordered the shrimp ramen which comes with about 6 shrimp but the noodles were instant ramen. It was definitely seasoned but the amount of salt was overwhelming in addition to the minimal amount of broth that you receive with your order.

Nicole M.

Yelp
As a black women please make sure y'all don't support this business. I happen to be walking across from savoy and these guys were upset that I cracked a joke about the restaurant. First of all food is TRASH. Please don't waste your money. However when I was calm and expressing why I don't like the place the guys got hostile. I asked do you guys own the place? They said it didn't matter because I wasn't "supporting" a black owned business. Mind you that's all I do. So I was confused why they were getting mad. I said again the food is nasty to warn them. They proceeded to tell me get tf away, my lace was lifting and to get my makeup off my face. Then homie started recording me. Once security came- why idk- cause I was not being aggressive I just repeated the food was nasty- the security told me you have to get off their property. I said well I asked if this was their spot they told me no- had I known I would've walked away because I know how people can be sensitive about their place. Needless to say I will never go back. The cashier even came out-black women telling me to leave without knowing what was happening. I will continue as always supporting black owned businesses but this one I can't wait till it dies out. St. Louis need to go back to where they came from cause they don't understand southern hospitality.

Yelp
Lamb+shrimp+lobster......... Very meaty ....Don't go thinking you will dine in you will be disappointed. Small space to grab and Go

Brianna P.

Yelp
The ramen here is absolutely instant ramen. The seafood elevated it but I was disappointed. However, The seafood nachos and oxtail quesadillas were very good. The owner did have a bit of an attitude while serving us like others have said. Overall, I'll give this place 3/5.

Delynn D.

Yelp
I heard about this place on social media and was really excited to give it a try. I live in the neighborhood and definitely wanted to support. I ordered online, waited about 20 mins to pick up the food and when I arrived, nothing that I ordered was available. No gumbo, no oxtail. But more importantly, I received no phone call to let me know that I needed to order something else, so I was a little disappointed when I arrived. I was advised by the lady taking orders to pick food of an equal price and she suggested the shrimp and lamb ramen and the shrimp fried rice bowl with salmon. So I made the swap and was told it would be another 20 mins wait, so I waited outside since the restaurant was full. After 20 mins, went back inside to check on the order and was told it was not ready yet. Waited another 15 mins and after going back inside to check on the order was told that I needed to continue waiting because the salmon still needed to thaw out. I was told this after checking on the for the 3rd time, why suggest that I can order salmon if the salmon is not available? Also, why not mention the salmon was not thawed out after checking on the food the first time? At this point, I just wanted whatever come out the fastest. After another 10 mins the food was ready. The lamb was a little over cooked as well as the egg and I was expecting more broth to come with the ramen. I see on the menu that extra broth is an additional charge, but there was hardly any broth in the container. The salmon was also over cooked and the rice needed a little more seasoning. This was not the best first experience, but I'm open to going back and giving Leighton's another try. It was a busy Saturday night and things happen.

Yelp
Tried to order from this place and they never confirmed. Yelp called them to check on the order and the person answering the phone was rude and cursed them out! ‍

Yelp
My daughter had been driving & by and wanted to try. Definitely take your food to go, but the guys couldn't have been nicer & the food was‍ Definitely worth the price.

Yelp
Such an awesome ramen spot. Flavorful late night love it. Especially the lamb and shrimp ramen

Damon S.

Yelp
I'm big on supporting black business, so my boy suggested this spot after we went out, so I was all in. I ordered the lamb and shrimp to go....got home to Katy, TX just to learn there were no shrimp in my box....now I should've checked my order before I left, that was my fault.....so the next day I went back and explained what happened and showed them a picture and their response was they needed the receipt....I get it but I don't know if that receipt got trashed or its in my pants pocket or whatever, but I didn't have it....I told them it's only by chance I was out here 2 nights in a row and I'm not coming back with any receipt, I live too far....they didn't fix it....all I wanted was my shrimp, didn't ask for money back or anything free, just give me my $54 worth of food that I paid for.....the only reason I'm posting this is because I gave them a chance to fix it and they didn't, even after being discreet so other customers wouldn't hear the issue I had with them....wrong is wrong and I won't be back unfortunately.

Jenae K.

Yelp
Never disappoints! I literally have to keep coming until I try everything I love it here Real bad.
google avatar

Korlynn O.

Yelp
I ordered the shrimp and lamb ramen. I can't believe it was so good. Hopefully more people find out about this spot bc the seasoning was perfected. I love seasoning so this was perfect for me. Definitely plan on ordering again here on Friday lol

Barbara ..

Yelp
Not a good experience at all! I bought 5 different items on the menu and I received 4 and one item was not at all what I ordered. Everything was just so salty that I couldn't even eat it. Needless to say it all went in the trash. I was also annoyed at the 1.5hr wait for the food and that's after being notified my order was ready for pick up. I personally won't be eating there again.
google avatar

Joimel J.

Yelp
I was hopeful. Extremely salty nachos to the point I couldn't eat it. My husband couldn't eat his lamb sandwich for the same reason. It almost tastes like they "accidentally" spilled salt on everything.. I wouldn't dare complain tho since after my husband saw a cook not wash his hands, we were basically chastised for pointing it out by the clerk. I root for small business so just really hope they listen to customers and improve.

Yelp
Unprofessional!! The worst service I have ever encountered. The tall guy with stocking on head is rude to me every single time I come here but tonight was the last time I'd deal with him. The disrespect is the worst. I'm a black man just as he is, the only difference is that I am gay and younger. Hate that we treat our own kind like this. We all bleed the same brother and my money spend just like other people, if not more because I often come here. The humility in a place where I just come to buy a cup of ramen - supporting my own people. I pray that God continues to bless the establishment though.

Yelp
First off I pride myself on supporting my people. This review is not meant to be malicious but it needs to be said after I suffered what I went through. All I ask for this establishment to do is be better and do better. I purchased a rice bowl with seafood. I began eating and about half way through my meal I became extremely nauseated. I eventually began to vomit which caused great discomfort. I suffered a bloody nose and red eyes from the pressure of vomiting so much. Leighton's staff please be sure to properly store your meats and seafood. Food poisoning is not a joke and can cause harm to peoole.

Yelp
The location is good as for as asset to the main streets, now the food is outstanding and the taste is one of a kind. You need to buy at least two different items every time you go because the whole menu is great and so are the prices. They have a very inviting staff that makes you fell very welcomed to come there. The atmosphere is vey welcoming and inviting as well.

Yelp
I looked up good spot nearby and this popped up so I came by. It's a small neighborhood restaurant but unlike most of the restaurants these days in Houston, this place didn't have a club feel. There wasn't any blaring music and for that I was thankful! I ordered the lamb and lobster ramen. The ordering process was simple and quick. My food came out in about 15 minutes and it did not disappoint! As a matter of fact I need to go back soon because it was that good. Good service, good food, good people and overall good experience!

Yelp
Service was cool. Food is not worth the price. The fried rice was crispy and the salmon was overcooked. Overall 4/10. I don't know if I would try something else on the menu

Yelp
Food is good. We had the ramen, nachos, wings and salmon rice bowl. The nachos surprisingly was my favorite. We visited on vacation and went 2 times in 1 day. Service 10/10 would recommend. Love it there!

Yelp
This place is a NO GO for me!!! My family and I went into this restaurant and ordered our food at 4:21pm with no problem and there was not a crowd in sight. They told us about 20 to 25 mins for wait time. Cool. So about 45 minutes goes by and I gave it the benefit of doubt because I ordered lamb and lobster. I allowed some more time to pass and I proceed to check on the order. The guy at the counter looked at my receipt and stated " The pizza takes about 25 mins". I said okay and waited 25 more minutes. I approached the counter again around 5:33pm and asked about my order, again the guy at the counter took my receipt, asked the cooks in the back, "What happened to this order?" With the look of confusion on all of their faces, he said to me my ordered had not been made. Then one of the cooks with locs told the front counter person that the food is over there on the side. The guy grabs the food and places it in front of me and I begin to check the food. ALL of the food was cold and the pizza I ordered wasn't even ready nor was the 2 sizes of Mac and cheese. This is ridiculous. No apology or any type of compensation was offered. The guy taking the orders pulled out cash from his pocket and refunded me for our order which was $125.59. I paid with a card. My family walked out of this now crowded restaurant hungry and so much time wasted.
