Google
What a cute little spot. I wanted something local for coffee and pastries after church. Simple Black coffee makes me happy. The ladies were all really friendly too.

Google
Surprise raw bacon in quiche! I prefer the bacon to be cooked prior to adding it to the quiche so that it’s crisp. Felt like I was eating raw bacon for breakfast today. Apple pie is delicious here.

Google
The bakery desserts are delicious! I would definitely from them again. The cinnamon rolls were soft and the icing was delectable! Yes, that good!

Google
Great coffee shop and bakery. I ordered my standard quad cappuccino, dry and the barista did a great job with it. Also picked up quite a few pastries and baked goods for my group. I tried the quiche lorraine (delicious), almond croissant (delicious) and the bacon, cheese, and egg kolaches (also delicious.). The store has lots of character and great service. Parking may get tight on busy mornings but I had no issues getting a spot at 830 am on a Saturday.

Google
One of our favorite options when it comes to pre ordered cakes, good balance of sweetness, texture and nicely decorated The service is usually very good and there is that small business feel so you know what you get is fresh and carefully made. My recent purchase: They have seasonal cakes so my wife got me the gingerbread cake for my birthday with cream cheese frosting which was nicely decorated to the scavenger hunt theme. What was unexpected for me was the cake did have a somewhat of a gingerbread texture(very firm) if I knew I would have suggested the eggnog. But overall the flavors were on point. I have tried some of the pastries in the past and they overall are good. Will update my review as I try more.

Google
A really nice, really quaint, bakery and coffee place in the Lakewood area. We tried out their kolaches, their quiche and their croissants. All excellent. And the coffee options are pretty good too The small staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s wonderful to see such, small, local, fantastic, coffee, and pastry places in Dallas

Google
Drove here specifically for the strawberry rhubarb kouign amann. They are delicous. Not too sweet and very flavorful. The lamination for their croissant pastries is a little iffy, though. I say this after having had Village Baking Co's croissant pastries for the past 5 or so years as well as other bake shops. Loved the peanut butter cookie. Those are hard to find and it wasn't super sweet, which I appreciated. The cinnamon knots are also nice. I like that I can control the sweetness by choosing to eat some of the topping or not. The bread itself isn't very sweet, which I appreciate. The turkey croissant was heated but it was too hard to chew through. It felt like chewing through thick paper. They refunded without any problems but they did look at me with bewilderment. They weren't friendly and it made me feel bad. I already felt bad having to return a pastry but being looked at like that just made me feel a bit worse. I'm glad they refunded easily, though. I was nervous about the whole situation. The customer service overall wasn't very friendly and they engaged more with each other than they did with me. Took a moment for them to initially notice me as well. Once noticed, they serviced my order but didn't share any of the same enthusiasm I initially had prior to returning the croissant. My visit two weeks ago had different staff that engaged better. Will definitely be back for the cookie and seasonal kouign amann. I just hope they're a bit nicer the next time or it's the other staff. Also recommend their black tea and espresso. I don't know if the automatic tipping is true or not as I wasn't given a receipt or the option to tip.

Google
I wasn’t able to try any of the food during my last visit due to concerns about cleanliness. There were multiple flies inside the bakery display case, and the space itself felt cluttered and disorganized. What concerned me most was that cookies, cupcakes, and other pastries were sitting uncovered on top of the counter where customers place their orders. These items were right at face level, which means both staff and customers were talking and breathing directly over the food. I even saw customers touch some of the items, and staff didn’t intervene or say anything. Unfortunately, these issues made me uncomfortable enough to leave without ordering.

Yelp
I am so in love with this place. All homemade breakfast items and all the pastries and desserts you can dream about. I'm glad this place is on way home from White Rock Lake so that means I got a workout in before inhaling the carbs (usually). It's an order at the counter place. You will have time to stare at all the delicious treats before making your order. There's not a lot of seating inside but I hand never seen anyone waiting to sit. The big table in the middle of the room Is communal. I always order my stuff to go. Yummy coffee, pastries, quiches, salads to go (the have a cooler with grab and go items). What more could you ask for?!

Yelp
I've visited Leila's bakery a few times before. The bakery itself is the cutest little place you'll ever see and not once has the service, food, or coffee let me down. However, my experience today has really blown my expectations out of this world!! My sister and I are very indecisive people when it comes to ordering anything. Not only were the baristas more than patient, but they also happily answered any questions that I had! They were also extremely friendly and personable! 11/10 recommend

Yelp
Very cute little shop with yummy lattes and fantastic looking pastries!! I ordered a hot latte with hazelnut syrup. It had a good espresso flavor without being bitter. It had just a touch of hazelnut, just like I like it (not too sweet either). My boyfriend ordered an iced mocha and he commented it could have used more milk. I appreciated the barista asked what type of milk we wanted with our lattes (I got low fat and my boyfriend is a whole milk guy). The pastries looked amazing but we didn't try any.... I will definitely be back though!

Yelp
This is a regular spot for me. The quiche is amazing but I am disappointed that it has gotten so expensive. $8 for a slice of quiche is crazy but it is a large piece for what you pay. The coffee is great, the pastries are great and the people who work there are very kind and welcoming. If you're in East Dallas this is a spot to check out!
google avatar

Jayme M.

Yelp
First time here and really enjoyed the food. Best quiches ever!! The latte was good as well. I probably won't get a scone next time just because so many other good choices to get. Really enjoyed and will be back!

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop tucked off Skillman!! Went in for coffee and ended up leaving with coffee and several yummy baked goods. Highly recommend the pumpkin loaf! The kolaches were tasty (even though they were out of a few options that I was interested in). My sister and I each had an iced coffee that hit the spot. They lose a star for no restrooms and seemingly being understaffed. The water coolers was empty and the trash was overflowing, but I'm going to guess those were due to a busy spurt and only having 1 counter person. I am excited to support this local business and will be back soon!

Yelp
REALLY cool vibe bakery/restaurant at Skillman and Oram. If you are looking for it, look behind the nursery! Friendly helpful staff and yummy baked goods from bread to cookies to muffins to kolaches..
google avatar

Mary G.

Yelp
Sad to find recent purchases to be over baked, one item with a slight burned taste. Cake layers were noticeably different colors. Disappointed but will give it another try. Oven problems?

Yelp
What a lovely little gem in the east dallas neighborhood. Friendly staff with a laid back vibe. Plenty of pastries to choose from. Pastries are done well with great texture. And getting hints of cardamon in my pastry along with my chai tea was perfect.

Yelp
This is my FAVORITE spot in Lower Greenville! Their baked goods are the best and coffee is always yummy! The baristas are so friendly and the shop has some seating inside if you want to enjoy your pastries/quiche there. My absolute favorite is the chocolate orange scone - such yummy flavor and perfect texture! The Strawberry muffin is also super yummy (there is a whole strawberry inside and a slice on top), but I would recommend enjoying this one first if you get it to go! I highly recommend checking this spot out!

Yelp
I really like Leila for their really tasty pastries and well-made coffee. It has a really cute vibe as soon as you walk in even though there is somewhat limited parking and they close at 4 PM, which is a little early for me. Coffee is very expensive. I suppose that would be the only downside to frequenting there often. The service is usually good - sometimes you can end up with a slightly cranky girl. No bathrooms.

Yelp
I love the option of some delicious baked goods in Lakewood. Leila may have my favorite blueberry muffin. It is moist and delectable and I love streusel toppings. The pecan pie is rich and gooey but not overly sweet-well done. From savory to sweet they have multiple good options-savory kolaches are tasty. I would say croissants can't go toe to toe with village baking but Leila does everything else really well in a cute space. I'm looking forward to trying their quiches and other pies. Oh and the service has been efficient on my visits too, even putting up with my getting an important phone call I had to take while ordering.

Yelp
I fell in love with their chocolate chip cookies and morning glory loaf at LDU coffee. I decided to take my daughter to check out the bakery and I was blown away- baked goods(we tried sugar cookies, a whoopie cookie, a muffin and a scone), latte and cold brew were all excellent. I also bought some soup and granola to go. Service was fast and friendly! So glad to know this place has a retail shop and look forward to being a regular!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious pastries. I had a croissant that was truly other worldly. They are also part of the app Too Good To Good which I love and I value they're making efforts to limit their waste. Friendly staff and super quaint shop. When I picked up my items there were several folks working on laptops and enjoying the calm atmosphere and delicious smells.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised and impressed by this little shop. It's our first time coming to to this cafe, we walked in to a deliciously beautiful display of baked goods. I wanted to try everything.... Lol. We ordered a chocolate croissant, kolache, and the apple cinnamon scone with 2 cold brew coffees. Everything was reasonably priced - your local Starbucks would have charged twice as much. You can tell they made everything in house, you can taste the love in these pastries folks, and service was great when I asked questions. Patrons here are very kind and warming as well. I will be coming back for sure. Loved this spot... highly recommend!

Yelp
I popped in with my daughter and the place has kind of charming rustic homey feel to it. It is not a coffee shop but offers coffee. I don't know why people are calling it a coffee shop. They offer a great assortment of baked goods. Croissants, Kolaches, muffins, quiche, sweet breads, scones, and cookies . I had a delicious slice of mushroom and goat cheese quiche (nice deep dish cut) and I felt I got my moneys worth. My daughter had a cute Valentines cookie and it must have been good because she's picky about her baked goods just like her mama.

Yelp
I have been wanting to checkout this little cafe for the longest time. So happy to finally get to stop by. Cutest cafe and bakery ever! I got my chai latte with almond milk. The flavor of the chai could have been a lot stronger! So many wonderful baked goods, what caught my eye was this morning glory bread. Wow, it's got a little bit of everything (raisins, carrot, etc). It was hearty, soft, slightly sweet, and lots of different textures, the perfect loaf IMO. I hope to have my laptop next time and sit for a bit next time as it feels like it would have a great vibe for working. Then I can try another pastry :)

Yelp
Yesterday a friend dropped off assorted quiche for family gathering, just warmed them up this morning and OMG so delicious! Crust was perfectly crisp and filling was light and custard like. Made me look this bakery up and add it to my 5 star, must go to, list!
google avatar

Yelp
I probably wouldnt go back just because they dont have pup cups. I intentionally stopped on my walk with my dog to get him a pup cup but they dont have them. How does a coffee shop not have whip cream????? The staff was nice and its a cute coffee shop but no pup cup doesnt work for our family :/ if you dont care about that then id suggest checking it out!!!!! I had a coffee and croissant; was okay

Jana M.

Yelp
Very cozy, friendly atmosphere. NOT a full service breakfast but more like a coffee shop with quiche and pastries. The service was spot on and the food was very good... oh yes! AND THE COFFEE WAS VERY STRONG! I would recommend and would go back!

Yelp
5 * for ambiance and cleanliness. 5 * for friendly and welcoming by staff. 3 * for the vanilla and Carmel latte (hot) froth was very flat and taste was just average. 5 * for the safe and sausage quiche. 5 * cheese and Swiss Quinn Oman. 4 * kolache (too much breading small piece of sausage inside. Taste was very nice. 1 * For having no bathrooms. 5 * for Location.

Yelp
Great and very delicious quiches Friendly staff and cute guest babies. Clean and welcoming! Great job Kelly and Nikola

Yelp
Addicting are Leila's "Lemon Kolaches", delicious lemon jam surrounded by a beautifully baked puffy pastry; and, "Coconut Macaroons", heavenly bites of shredded coconut dipped in chocolate. With their wonderful service and charming storefront, Leila is on my rotation in satisfying my specific cravings amongst all of my favorite freshly daily made and baked, locally owned bakeries in Big D. CHEERS!
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
Until today, I had never, in my life, had a mushroom kolache. And hear me when I say this. I WILL NEVER do that type of disservice to myself ever again! The mushroom kolaches were delicious! This cute little bakery is tucked away, but the food is full blast. Do yourself a favor and go for breakfast TOMORROW.
google avatar

Colin R.

Yelp
Quaint neighborhood cafe with decadent pecan pie and delicious quiches! Friendly staff, and always a tasty pastry on hand
google avatar

Madigan M.

Yelp
Warm, yeasty scents will greet you when you step into this cafe/bakery. There's a beautifully curated wall of granolas, muffins and boxed pastries merchandised next to houseplants, books and tchotchkes which leads to a huge glass counter of gorgeous pastry creations. I tried a slice of rustic apple pie which was flaky, buttery and sweet. I also had a mocha latte which was rich and delicious. There are limited outlets and no public bathrooms here, so not a great place to work, but it was lovely to see every table full of visitors chatting with friends.
google avatar

E P.

Yelp
I moved into the neighborhood a few months ago and was eager to visit this cafe. Sadly, my group of 4 stopped by and left without trying anything. The gal at the counter didn't even acknowledge us. We felt so unwelcome. The one star is for poor service. Terrible!
google avatar

Jami H.

Yelp
Best quiche in town by far. The vegetarian options are soooo good. Mushroom and goat! During the fall my all time favorite is the mozzarella and butternut squash aka the golden chip.
google avatar

Kathy L.

Yelp
Sweet little place with great coffee and yummy baked goods. I loved my salted caramel latte, and couldn't resist getting a quiche, Nutella knot, and even a banana Nutella loaf to take home with me. A few small tables and a bar along the window, but seems like the weekend morning crowd gets their stuff to go from my previous visit. I'm sure I'll be back for a quiet spot to get some work done in the mornings when I want to get out of the house. There is free Wi-Fi but I didn't check for any outlets so not sure about that.
google avatar

Yelp
So glad that my coworker recommended this place! It's a small, women-owned bakery that is cute and has some of the friendliest staff I've ever met! Everything I got was super fresh and yummy: *Sausage and sage quiche - you can't leave without trying one of their quiches! The crust has just the right amount of flakiness and the egg and ingredients inside all melted together perfectly! *Apple cinnamon scone - perfect texture! So yummy and a must try! I love scones, and the apple and cinnamon flavors were just heavenly. *Chocolate zucchini muffin - as a chocolate fan, the huge chocolate chips were much appreciated. Moist and delicious! *Strawberry lemon poppy - I loved this mix of flavors. The strawberry and lemon were both freshly mixed with the flavor of the poppy seeds, to create a wonderful experience. The textures were again great. Once again, the service was great! The lady at the front kindly explained all the menu in detail and offered to warm everything for me. While I waited, she even asked if I wanted something to drink! Super kind and overall great experience :) Love this bakery

Rohan G.

Yelp
Great coffee and delicious baked goods! The oatmilk cream pie was delicious. Staff was nice as well. 10/10
google avatar

Abigail R.

Yelp
We dropped by here for a cup of coffee and ended up with coffee and treats! The vanilla latte was excellent: subtly sweet and strong. It was a nice afternoon coffee shop to stumble into after a day of exploring antique shops.
google avatar

B C.

Yelp
The best baked good in Texas! The worst service in Texas! Passive aggressive counter help, usually only one person helping the counter, while others stand around chatting to each other. Not sure the best baked goods in Texas are worth it.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
I live within walking distance of this bakery and go here often for coffee. Espresso and drip are about average; The cold brew is where it's at. The workers are super sweet as well. Some people expect baristas and FOH to flirt with them and be their besties. I'm not one of those people. Today the girl at the counter recommended a cinnamon braid. It was obscenely delicious. A cross between a croissant and cinnamon roll. Get one.

Becca M.

Yelp
Think a Thomas Keller quiche; classically high, perfect interior. Closest (based on cookbook photos) I've ever experienced. Will anxiously and happily return! Might sit at the lone outside table again because it was freezing inside! PS It allowed BYOB, and our rose wine made brunch all the better.

Geoff S.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere are OK, but watch out for the smallish $4.00 glass of iced tea with $1.00 refills. Excellent gazpacho when it's not sold out.
google avatar

Kaylee C.

Yelp
I was really excited to come & check this place out because it looks too cute! When i walked in i wasn't greeted at all. I was looking at the pastries & menu for about 5 minutes or so without any acknowledgment. The lady just looked over without saying anything. I left after that because i didn't felt welcomed at all.
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
I needed a cake for my daughter's 18th birthday. We originally going to just get one from the Bundt cake place but saw the reviews for this bakery were great. Let start by saying I didn't order it advance. I stopped in and asked if they had any full cakes. The owner sold me one for $65. First-it smelled and tasted like "refrigerator" so it was not covered at all. The cake was dry! Like super dooper cardboard dry. I really wish she had been honest with me and told me they had nothing fresh than selling me an old dry cake. Like I mentioned, it was for my daughter's birthday and I was so embarrassed once served. Never ever again!
google avatar

Matt P.

Yelp
Add this to the list of suburban Dallas establishments tucked away on random street corners. Leila's service was quick and easy, especially during the early days of the pandemic. We were in need of some accessibly and sweet pastries for a brunch party and their offerings came in the clutch!

Hansford B.

Yelp
The amount of unhappiness I am greeted with by the staff reflects my internal dissatisfaction as I leave this place with no food. 75% of the time I go to pick up kolaches there are none or they only have two left. Seems to be a constant problem with food inventory or customer service but the kolaches are 10/10 and I might try my luck again after a drunk stupor in a month or so. Leila if you are reading this kolache lovers of Dallas need you to be better. Godspeed.
google avatar

Cheks J.

Yelp
Good luck being Mexican and getting greeted at a minimum. Stood there with my wife for 7 min and not a single good morning. Hello. We will be right with you. No one in front of us. They were taking order after order and once we got up and no one behind us. No eye contact. No greeting nothing. We took our time looking at the potentially delicious deserts but it does not matter now. We left. Still no acknowledgement. Sorry that this experience had to happen. Unfortunately I will go down the street and hopefully won't get the same type of ambiance.
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
Best bakery, delicious food, and the sweetest friendliest staff you will ever meet!!! Will be back a million times!
google avatar

Kimberly B.

Yelp
The pastries and quiche were amazing! I usually can't take americano alone but their beans were wonderful!
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
This is the best coffee shop! The girls that work here are the sweetest, funkiest and coolest people. They are why I live in Lakewood! Thank you for the incredibly delicious quiches (they are so mouthwatering!) and the perfect selection of fresh baked goods! This is the cooler & better boulangerie!
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
The cinnamon knot was DREAMY and the coffee was delicious too! Quaint little cafe, friendly employees and nice atmosphere!
google avatar

Steph W.

Yelp
Absolute favorite coffee shop. Super friendly, lovely space and the best pastries in Dallas.
google avatar

Rene S.

Yelp
What YUMMY cakes. We got the lemon almond gf flourless torte and the carrot cake to take over to a reunion. HUGE hit. I forgot to take pics. We're from California, so we're sad we can't get this on a regular basis. Whoever is the baker, she was so wonderful. What is her name? Anyhow, we'll be back when we visit my family.

Melissa K.

Yelp
Delicious sausage and sage quiche! Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff! It was the perfect choice for a late lite lunch.
google avatar

Irene C.

Yelp
Their key lime cheesecake was simply amazing. I want a whole cheesecake now! Give them a try you won't be disappointed

Yelp
Amazing food and drinks, awesome service, super cute place - how have I not been here before? It was wonderful for a relaxing and yummy breakfast. Loved this place and looking forward to coming back! The quiche was outstanding - the crust was so buttery, almost like a croissant. Must try
