Lelo's Island Bar

Lelo’s Island Bar makes one of the best burgers I’ve had in Port Aransas. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve—it’s high quality and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was nice and laid-back (I went on a Sunday evening, so I can’t speak for busier nights). I was a little hesitant at first since I usually don’t like places where you order at the bar and refill your own drinks, but Lelo’s knocked it out of the park with their food. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving a great burger!

I had the Poblano Aoli burger. It definitely needed more poblano aoli because I could not taste it at all. I saw it was only a small squeeze. The burger was great though. Tasted fresh. And the regular fries and honey siracha fries were also very good. I did not know which I ones I liked better. Cheese curds were also good. The price for the size of burger you get is the quality of the food is perfect. Go here. Sweet tea is also fantastic. I guess only thing I could complain about is that the seats are not wiped down. I don’t know if they are understaffed but there was only a woman cleaning, and she didn’t seem like a bus boy. And they should have bins to clean tables. Not just stack everything in their hands.

So glad we stopped at this little joint. Food was great and prices were fair. Servers were friendly. The jalapeño cheddar cheese bites were perfect! I had the bacon cheeseburger which was so good, and husband had tuna which could have been more flavorful.

The food was good. It was a little crowded but fun. The servers were great. This drink was FANTASTIC! Frozen Bailey's Banana Colada. Mind blowing. I am not a drinker, but I will crave this. It is awesome. Great way to celebrate after or son got married at the chapel on the dune.

Really nice restaurant. We sat outside on the patio. The kids played in the courtyard. Food was delicious. Highly recommend trying this location out. Party of 15 had plenty of room outside. Also a huge fan was on that kept the breeze moving.

We should have ordered two orders of cheese curds because they were a hit with the whole family. We also got a bacon cheeseburger, chicken tender basket, and the steak bites with sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious and hot, no sitting on the counter or heat lamp here. Service was fast and friendly. And my kids loved the back porch area to run around while waiting for the food to come out. I know most people won't care but to those who do, they have delicious ranch here.

Lelo’s is a cute dive bar with surprisingly great food options—from burgers to salads. Perfect for a quick bite without the large crowds. A laid-back gem worth checking out!

Lelo’s is a nice, low key bar and grill. Decent atmosphere, good food and drinks. Different to order at the bar rather than traditional servers, but fine. Staff were friendly and prices were reasonable. Location is good. Could definitely go back.

If you're craving a juicy, flavorful burger, this place absolutely delivers. The patties were cooked to perfection--tender, well-seasoned, and stacked with fresh toppings. Every bite was better than the last. We also tried the fried pickles on a whim, and WOW--crispy, tangy, and downright addictive. Definitely a must-order appetizer Highly recommend. Come hungry--you'll leave happy!

Such a cute beachside spot! Great vibe. The wait was long for food on a Friday night. I got the ahi tuna wrap. It was advertised as rare but the tuna was definitely very well done, which had a weird texture to it. Fries were great. Drinks were great. Wish the tables were cleaner, every table felt a l sticky.

Leli's Bar in Port Aransas was a solid stop for a casual bite. Nothing over-the-top or mind-blowing, but everything we ordered was good We had the chicken strips and the Jack and Coke burger. It was a little sweet, a little savory, and cooked well.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this small Texas beach town, but Lelo's Island Bar certainly showed out! The spot was quaint but decorated adorably, with a strong island vibe and fun music. The tiki drinks were delicious, served in fun tiki glasses and fresh garnish. They also had a sizeable food menu that offered both bar snacks and full blown entrees. This was definitely a fun stop and I'd go back!

OMG! f#$@ing amazing. I do believe this is the best burger I have ever eaten! I got the jack and coke burger and Kahiki Kai tiki drink. Best all around everything! Staff was great! I even got the cutest shirts! Can I do 1000 stars! Get here and eat!!

Came here to refuel after a morning on the beach. I enjoyed the Scurvy Cocktail (2x!) and my husband had a Oasis Original beer. I ordered a Tuna Pita with fries and my husband had a patty melt that he cannot stop talking about! () the staff is attentive and having a good time and we loved watching the vintage music videos and the kitschy Island vibe.

Best place on the island. Steak bites, fried pickles, ranch, and portobello burger were all 10/10. Iced tea was amazing as well. Convenient ordering and seating. Friendly staff. Area is small inside and out, be prepared to wait for a table in peak seasons.

Very casual restaurant with a fun tiki vibe. You order at the counter. Family and pet friendly. The service isn't great, but I liked the mushroom swiss burger.

Affordable. Greeted when we entered. Friendly Clerk offered suggestions on the menu and took our order quickly. Music is mostly 90s rock-Alt-party music-that's a win with me. Can't go wrong with any burger. There's a young girl with glasses who worked her butt off delivering orders-Tip her! And give her a raise or paid time off. We need more waitresses with her work ethic! Beer is par for the course but did have 1 craft IPA that's good and I don't like IPAs but I can't turn down a beer I haven't had. Fries are good, not burnt or over salted. Napkin dispensers are inside if your table doesn't have one. Parking is an issue. Tip: Take a golf cart or small car. Your biga$$ TX truck won't fit here. Yes, the patio has flies. Duh! You're outside. Not an issue for me. Just a good burger joint for salty beach people. I fit in.

Went to Lelos because we really wanted a good burger. They also have great drinks. Of course I got a marg and the wife got a Wild Watusi. You order at the bar from the very nice lady and then we decided to sit outside. We started with a basket of cheese curds. Discovered them in Oregon and happy to see good ones here. The burgers are huge so we decided to split a Jack and Coke burger. Lots of grilled onions and that delicious sauce. TVs and a bar area. Fun place.

We tried the cheese curds (delicious) and had a couple of drinks (mermaid water and wild watusi). While I was disappointed the mermaid water is no longer served in the seashell, I still enjoyed the drink itself. The vibe here was fun and chill at the same time. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Loved the food! The sriracha sweet potato fries were so good & the steak bites were yummy as well. My husband really enjoyed the patty melt. The service was fast and efficient. They have a cute set up which is family friendly for travelers. We took our two year old & enjoyed it.

The food was delicious I had the bacon cheeseburger probably the best burger I've had in a long time. You order inside, we brought the doggie so we sat outside and it was nice. The waiter brought out our food on a timely manner. There's plenty of stuff to do inside and outside so it's a good place.

Oh yeah! Definitely the place to be, great music, great food n drinks and fun atmosphere! Patty melt was delicious cooked perfectly not overcooked like most places, even the fries were great both sweet potato and regular, can't wait to come back and try Jack n coke burger. Yum! As this is a favorite of the Locals parking can be tight, there is inside and outside seating and there staff is very friendly and welcoming. So if your in the neighborhood stop and by and enjoy.

This is our favorite place to go in Port A. There's a decent variety of food and drinks at the best on the island! We go multiple times when we stay in town. Service is always friendly and fast. The place is laid back and you can eat inside or outside. We've even brought our young daughter during the day and the place is very family friendly.

The food is great and the decor makes you feel like you are definitely on an island. The drinks are so delicious. The family that owns and runs the place are great people.

Great outside area with room for younger kids to run around safely and a few games and toys to keep them entertained for at least for roughly the same amount of time it takes to drink a beer. Cocktails are sugary sweet and delicious - I had the painkiller and it had Hawaiian beach vibes to it. Only had the one tho as it was a little too much sugar for me. Burgers are really good - tasty and juicy and everything you look for in a great burger. My fave is the deep fried cheese curds - a must for any cheese lover

Fun, relaxed atmosphere and great food and drink. Order at the bar and food is delivered to you. We stopped for lunch and I got the gooey, delicious BBQ Bacon Grilled Chicken Sandwich it comes with tasty, coated fries. My wife got the Steak Tips with Sweet Potato Fries. Food came out in about 8-10 minutes. Nice play area for the kiddos, and pet and cigarette friendly patio area...also OK for those of us without pets, kids, or nicotine addiction. Variety of fun drinks and shots and a selection of beer. Indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely reccomended!

Bacon cheeseburger was amazing as well as the sweet potato fries Definitely great flavor and filling. Will absolutely be back to try one of the other burgers. Since there are plenty of different choices!

A real Gem!! For real, great food and cocktails! The beer is always cold and can be ordered in buckets! Staff is super friendly and bartenders are very knowledgeable!! Chill place. Very Tiki oriented. Honestly I couldn't recommend a better place in Port A! But it's not good for groups larger than 10. I'm sure they can handle a group that size but the place isn't really set up for large groups of people

Big patio so it's not hard to find a place to sit! The food here was amazing! One of the best burgers I've ever had and the cheese curds are to die for! All of the workers were very friendly and working hard. The drinks are just what you need after a day spent on the beach!

Amazing bar! My husband and I had a wonderful time here. Their food was delicious and the service was excellent. My husband claimed it was the best burger he's ever had! Even the fries were perfect. And I had the ahi special for $20. Other than that it was a pretty good time. They also had a boozy root beer float that was delicious!

Came at 8pm and was a long line for food. Burgers were good. Good for the island. But had about an hour wait for them. So just be ready for that.

We occasioned Lelo's Island Bar (LIB) for dinner while in Port A for a family vacation over the Thanksgiving holiday. On a side note, it was fairly crowded and our party of eight had to sit outside on a chilly evening, no heaters present. I get the whole "it's off season," but if you want a good number of diners year-round, a few heaters in the outside seating area would be a welcome addition. That said, the place has a way cool "tiki bar/island" vibe. Lots of specialty shots and frozen drinks. Good beers. It's a place where you order at the bar, and they bring the food to you when it's ready. We had a couple of martinis and "painkillers," all very good libations. On the food side, we shared cheese curds, the steak bites and a patty melt. All deelish! Special note about all the fried food (curds and fries) all nicely seasoned, fried well, and served piping hot! We like HOT when it comes to fried food, and LIB does the fried stuff right! The steak bites were very tasty, nicely seasoned and cooked medium rare. You cannot tell from the picture, but there were lots of bites under the sea of fries. The patty melt was also good, toasted well, and the "insides" (meat, cheese and onions) were well cooked. Another good entree... the "littles" and the teenagers had burgers, all reported they were good. Some observations overall... good venue for families (when the weather is good), play area and lots of games outside next to the patio. Games not just for kids, but for grown-ups too! When the weather is good, the patio would be a great place to hang out for a while, have some food and cocktails, and watch the folks play. We'll definitely be back, and shoot for a beautiful sunny day next time around! Recommend LIB, good times, good food...

Lelo's was a great experience from start to finish. Staff is very friendly. We had burgers and fries and they were great!! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed environment with great burgers.

We went at an off time, so there was no wait and we were able to place our order and find a seat quickly. The hamburgers were very good and the atmosphere was great. The kids had a good time playing at the outdoor area which included cornhole, foosball table, and large blocks in the turf. If you are looking for a good drink-get the sunset margarita! We will definitely come back again.

Definitely a place to go in Port A - we will absolutely positively return, no question! We brought our dog and ate on the porch. Inside, they've got tabletop shuffle board! Outside, there's corn hole! Food was delicious! Drinks were tasty! Awesome atmosphere, great folks working there. And all around good time! Highly recommend!!!

We both got hamburgers and if there is a better burger on the island please let me know. These were probably the best hamburgers we have ever had. I got the poblano aioli bacon cheeseburger. Wife ordered the jack and coke burger and she said it was an awesome burger. Highly recommend if you want a good burger.

Came into town and it's the first place we went because we love it every time we come! The food is consistently good and I could literally eat something different every night for our trip here and love it. Service is top notch for take out. Our order was perfect. Ambiance is small beach laid back and perfect for all ages. Take your kids for fun and enjoy a drink.

The person taking our order at the front was very rude when i asked her about the wait time for our food. We had been waiting an hour already for 3 burgers and i was wondering how much longer. The food was alright but i will not be going back.

This place would be 5 stars for takeout, but for dine in it drops to 4 stars for sure. The food is really good. Outstanding burgers and fries and chicken sandwiches and fried pickles. The drinks are great too! Really solid quality stuff here and we will be back (although for takeout only!). The problem with dining in is you have to wait in line to order at the counter and then you have to wait in line again for everything else you want. Want a water refill - wait in line. Another margarita- wait in line. Need some ketchup - wait in line. Need someone running to tables to top up waters and asking for other needs. Took me 10 minutes to get two water refills. Not a good experience. The people are super nice though and the place has a great dive bar feeling. Just wish there was table service of some sort.

We got a hamburger and also a steak salad and they were delicious!! The atmosphere was really nice and they stay open late which was great since we were late from our dolphin cruise!

Hubs and I stopped in for a late lunch before heading back to Rockport after a lovely day on the beach in Port A! So glad we did! We split the Jack & Coke burger and a chicken Caesar salad with okra. Everything was great. The burger was phenomenal and while the salad had way too much dressing it was still good. My fault for not asking to have it on the side, I know better. So food was great but let's move on to the cocktails!! This place has a long list of frozen concoctions, tiki bar drinks and SHOTS! Started off with the frozen banana colada which was everything a cocktail in a beach bar should be, Cold, sweet and strong. I caught a buzz on one... but one is never enough so had the "pineapple" tiki drink next. While it was soo good, it does have some strange spice sprinkled on top I wasn't a fan of but still really good. But did I mention the frozen banana colada??? Would go back for that drink a million times. Lol. Only thing I didn't like is that you order at the bar, (not the prob), and you pay immediately and they ask for a tip. I don't tip before I get my food and see how you will take care of me, and if I do I'm only tipping 5% and that is NOT what I tip after a meal so I think it's a stupid ask! I ended not tipping when asked at the register before food and drinks which caused some eye rolls from the staff standing there but I left cash in tip jar when leaving, also left a painted rock, but it made me feel awkward being asked before service and food had happened. Might want to rethink that policy, just saying.

Our burgers and fries were perfectly cooked and the cheese curds and ranch were delicious! Side notes: The music is a little loud and the atmosphere is definitely not fancy. Wear your suits. No one cares.

Love the burgers here but decided to try the chicken sandwich. VERY disappointed!! Chicken was 1/4 inch thick and overcooked and tough. $40 lunch and REALLY disappointed!!!

First time going here. They close at 10. We showed up at 8:40 and were told to basically not bother because there was an hour wait for the food. The place wasn't full. It's burgers and fries. It's not a long complicated cook. They don't want your money here. Don't bother. It was clear by the body language they didn't want anyone to come in. The owner needs to get ahold of the staff and tell them they close at 10, not 8:40, because it's a very bad look. Too bad really because it seemed to have a good atmosphere.

We have been here a few times and like it. We wanted a place to chill for a bit in the heat of the day. Fun games and great drinks. Staff was very nice. We would of ate here, but the ac was not working too great. Only stayed for one drink this time.

Best burgers in town !! Meat actually has flavor and is cooked to perfection. Great bar and beer selection. Fun family place that's reasonably priced with great food. Our go to place for burgers, onion rings and cocktails. Thanks Craig and Virginia !!!

OBSESSED. We came here twice during our visit and honestly if I had endless funds I'd be here nightly. The drinks are so freaking good; Baileys Banana Colada... 20467/10 - but truthfully we did not have a bad drink. The food: SO GOOD. My Husband loved his burger and the chicken sandwich was juiced with a great honey mustard! The fries were tasted and not saturated with oil. The sweet potato fries were outstanding. So happy we got those while we had drinks and played shuffle board. The staff was so helpful. The tiki vibes are perfect and there is even a good amount of outdoor seating with some games in the back. We had a blast and this will be a regular place to stop when we visit. I even bought a CUTE shirt.

Went with a large party of people (12) today during the afternoon. Parking was a bit of a hassle but otherwise it was easy to get to the restaurant. I ordered the Jack and Coke burger, and it was as good as I remember it from a few years ago. The waitress was more than kind with us and I commend her for her hospitality. Best food on the island hands down! Tiki bar theme and the inside and outside is super cute, bring your bug spray if sitting outside! Service is great, mom and pop shop feel - you order up front (food and drinks) but there's no direct table service which we didn't mind at all. Ordered a couple burgers and they were so juicy & delicious. Also had a few of the signature cocktails which were yummy as well. Very impressed with value given the cost is cheaper than most places on the island as well.
