Lemon coconut tea

I’ve walked past Lemomo so many times and finally decided to give it a try. On this hot summer day, I went with the coconut lemon tea — less sugar, less ice, and added crystal bubbles. TRUST!!! This was a 10/10. Super refreshing, not too sweet, and just what I needed to cool down. I’m curious about the wampi series next time, but honestly… this drink might be a new go to.

Google
店内很香, the tea smell is very fragrant and they sell snacks egg waffles and it is deliciously smelling I'm like so relaxed being inside. There's a kiosk for ordering if you don't wanna chat w cashier, and the coconut lemon is a bit watery not as thick as i thought but its prob because i got the less amount of sugar. The lemon is more lime, i like.

Google
Overall rating: 4.0 I’ve never had Hong Kong tea before, but it just tastes like regular tea to me. I was cool to watch the staff shake it up with with limes and lemon. It’s odd that they can’t find an address between the numbers but this place wasn’t for me. I didn’t get a surge of caffeine like others have warned. Seemed like a waste of money to me. It could be good for those used to the taste, but for a newbie - meh. I’d rather choose Tiramisu latte down the street.

This was my first time trying Lemomo Tea, and I have to say, I enjoyed every sip. If you’re a fan of lemon and tea, this place is a must-try. I went with the Lemon Jasmine Tea since I ordered it later in the day and didn’t want to be wired all night. It was the perfect choice – light, refreshing, and just the right balance of floral jasmine and citrusy lemon. My partner went for the Signature Handcrafted Lemon Tea, which packs more of a punch with its caffeine kick. I tried a sip, and wow, it was tangy and bold with a strong tea flavor. Definitely a good pick for a pick-me-up! I’m already planning my next visit to try their famous Wanpi Lemon Tea, which really looks interesting for me. The service was quick, and the staff was really helpful, especially if you’re unsure what to order. They’re happy to offer suggestions based on what you’re in the mood for. One thing to note – there’s no seating inside, aside from a long bench near the counter, which seems more for waiting. But since the drinks are so good, it’s definitely worth grabbing and going.

Google
Best tea place in NYC! With so many drink stores in town, lemomo is my favorite drink store. Its tea has a very special taste to it that has never been felt in other drinks I bought. Won’t recommend you adjust sugar level since the tea is very strong. I would love to try all of its drinks so recently I’ve also signed up for its membership(wow yes!)

Presentation is fanciful, but taste is average. For a price tag of almost $10, the classic wampi lemon tea is a big of a let down. Was it worth try? Maybe. But will probably not buy again. The price tag is understandable given the location in the heart of Chinatown, but the taste leaves a lot to be desired. The wampi fruit is supposed to be fragrant, sour and with soft notes of sweetness. The tea had a few pieces of dry wampi that barely have the tea any wampi flavors. Overall, the 2 stars are for the fast friendly service, but the product is a letdown.

My friend and I wanted to try something new. She had the regular boba tea and I had the wanpee jasmine lemon tea. Boba tea hardly had enough sugar and she had to ask for it. My wanpee jasmine lemon tea had a bitter after taste of lime on every sip. Not great at all.

Google
The lemon tea is so refreshing, with just the right amount of sweetness and no bitterness at all. The jasmine milk is also delicious! Plus, the packaging and store decor add such a nice touch.

Yelp
Came here after trying to find some egg waffles to no avail. They have egg waffles.. reallly good and it comes in the cutest vented box/bag. For only 5.50. It was very crispy and chewy on the inside. They also have special lemon teas. Tried the hk lemon tea which was strong and interesting. The girl working at the front was so sweet too.

Yelp
Amazing spontaneous find!! Chose the wan pi lemon tea which flavour and depth of tea was so good Reminded me of the teas from HK Wan pi pieces and proper lemon juice in the brewed tea not made from syrup Definitely a good tea chain which I hope expands around the states in many more locations

Yelp
Their lemon teas are always refreshing. Looking for something on a warm day. This hits the spot with their normal lemon tea or their special wanpee tea. I would recommend if you don't like it too sweet do like 30% sugar
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
Coconut lemon was a bit watery but maybe cause I got half sugar, and i thought it'll be more thick on the coconut part. But its not bad, and the decor is cute inside. Also, why does it smell sooo delicious inside all the time? Like i know they sell egg waffles but aside from that, there's like a floral but nostalgic tea smell. Its amazing. and there's a window seat but no tables but a kiosk for you thats also counts as a table.

Yelp
Service was good. Really small inside with no seating. You can order at the kiosk. Pretty expensive. My drink was almost $10 after tax. Definitely different taste but nothing spectacular for me personally.

Yelp
I've been waiting to see what would open up across from Chi Cha San Chen, especially since this was the old spot of Sweet House, where they had a tasty coconut and mango drink that I only got to enjoy once! All the drinks sounded very interesting so my group and I were down to try it. However, the "unique" ingredients either didn't shine through or shone through too much. I got the osmanthus milk tea, and it was a solid milk tea but I couldn't detect any osmanthus. My husband ordered the classic wampi lemon tea, but the wampi flavor was very strong and not enjoyable. I've had wampi as is before in those little containers from Chinese supermarkets, but none tasted as bitter as the tea. I would advise you to pass on the wampi. My sister got the yashi oolong corn milk tea. It tasted more like Japanese corn soup than milk tea, which is good in its own way but just different than what was expected. We later translated what yashi is and was thrown off by the "duck shit" translation. However, we later researched that it's just a type of tea that doesn't contain any duck shit. TBH, I'm not sure I would want to come back here again when there are lots of other high-performing tea shops in the area.

Yelp
With so many boba tea shops opening in the area, I've decided to walk into this tea shop. There were more than enough staff behind the counter to service a few customers, was really hopeful my drink would be made with care and elevate the tea game. Ordered the HK style Milk tea with white pearl; and I was a bit disappointed. While the tea itself tasted okay, the while pearl boba felt a little sour. Why would boba taste sour? Maybe I should not have order HK milk tea with any topping, maybe I shouldn't even step inside this shop since my intention was really to wait in line for Chicha San Chen from across the street. Overall, bought a drink here

Yelp
Service was pretty good and quick. I still love trying different bubble tea shops and my eyes glow up when I find something new. They were not lying when they were comparing themselves to perfume. The flavor in the tea is so strong, it really hit me like perfume and unfortunately, not in a good way. I know a few people that really like their lemon tea but I guess it is just not for me. I will just stick to my Kung Fu Tea and Moomoochaa for now.

Yelp
There are a lot of stores within a 2 block radius that sells drinks. If you don't stand out or make yourself known, it's going to be hard to survive. I decided to try this new place. The person came to the register while I was deciding on a drink. It's a small store, no seating except the ledge by the window which is nice when the store isn't crowded. Lemon Tea would be refreshing. I decided on a Orian Maojian Jasmine Lemon Tea ($7.45). Jasmine is very light. In this case, the lemon overpowered the Jasmine and was a bit too sweet for me even with less ice and sugar. The slices of the lemons were not thick though I swallowed a lemon seed while I was drinking the tea, which is rare. Go try and you decide for yourself.

Yelp
Good service. Fast drinks. Drink is good but I wouldn't say it's worth $10. $10 is a little pricey for some wanpi lemon tea. It is good and different from a regular lemon tea from the bakery, but it's hard for me to justify $10. There are basically no seats, so it's more of a grab and go place. They have like a small section by the window that might fit 3 or 4 people, but it's not really a place where people would stay and hang out while drinking the tea.

Yelp
I stopped by Lemomo Tea on a Thursday around 7 PM. It's a new bubble tea shop on Bayard Street in Chinatown, and as soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the smell of lemon tea--which was really nice. The shop itself is pretty small, with just a couple of seats by the window, so it's definitely more of a grab-and-go spot. However, the staff didn't make much of an impression. There was a man sitting by the cashier on his phone the whole time. No greeting, no interaction. The only time we heard from a staff was when another staff called out our number for us to pick up our drinks. It felt a bit impersonal, especially for a brand-new shop. I ordered at the kiosk, which was quick and easy. I got the Coconut Lemon Tea and the Oiran Maojian Jasmine Lemon Tea. The Coconut Lemon Tea was super refreshing for a hot day. It was sweet with a nice hint of lime, which added a little tang. I just wish it had more of a citrus kick. The cup was a decent size, but I felt like there was way more ice than drink. Also, I couldn't taste much tea--I was left wondering if there was any in there at all. The Oiran Maojian Jasmine Lemon Tea was interesting, but not for me. I went with this instead of the HK-style lemon black tea because it was late, and I didn't want to be kept up by the caffeine. It tasted overly artificial and had a strong, perfumey flavor. It's part of their "Classic Perfume Lemon Tea Series," but it wasn't something I'd order again. I'd go back to try the Coconut Lemon Tea again, maybe with less sugar, or give their Wampi Lemon Tea or HK-style Handcrafted Lemon Black Tea a try. Hopefully next time the staff will be a bit more engaging!

Yelp
We popped into this spot because we tried the hot lemon tea samples they were handing out. We liked it so much we had to see what other drinks they offered. They have kiosks for quick ordering, a clean shop, and so many unique flavors. I ended up trying the hot corn boba and it was really good!

Yelp
Okay. I came back here and not sure if it was good the first time I tried it because I was super thirsty or what. But came back here and nope, didn't do it for me this time. Or maybe it was who made the drink. Plus I found a seed in my drink and not into that because hellos - I already cracked a tooth from a shell left in my lobster roll at Lure and another tooth from Kalbi from a tiny bone fragment, so yeah, I don't need another tooth cracked!!!! The other thing I didn't care for is you can't do zero sugar and zero ice.

Yelp
I did not know that there was a shop dedicated to lemons and tea until I saw Lemomo Tea. Another bubble tea shop in Chinatown. Now there is a large variety of bubble tea shops in Chinatown, which is such a great perk about Chinatown! So I got their most popular and best seller drink, the HK Style Handcrafted Lemon Black Tea with a strong tea shot! The tea shot was definitely very strong and somewhat bitter! It was worth the price knowing there is an extra tea shot! It was a good aroma and overall you can taste the lemon inside the tea with subtle sweetness. This store is pretty small and there are no chairs by the counter to sit. There's a kiosk for self checkout if you don't want to order in person. Going to come back to try more of their other lemon teas!

Yelp
Hard pass... So sad to give this review because boba and lemon are so near and dear to me and my partner's hearts. Anytime my partner sees a lemon favored drink or dessert, it always piques our interest. We took one sip of the signature lemon tea, and it did not taste good at all. I myself like preserved lemon, but this tasted like a lemon gone wrong in the preservation process. It was as if we handed over a $10 bill and tossed the drink into the trash.. steep prices for something that I would've been disappointed to pay $3-$4 for... Hard pass...there's plenty of good boba options in NYC. Especially around Chinatown Manhattan and Flushing in Queens.

Yelp
I really did not enjoy my drink here. I got the salty plum lemon tea and I expected it to taste like the asian dry plum candies with a little lemon flavor and I do think they tried to mimic the taste and they even put some of those candies in the drink, but it did not come out well. It was not sour at all and had a really strange sweet flavor. I could only drink a little bit of it before throwing it out.

Yelp
I was kind of disappointed with the tea from here, it really was just... lemon tea. I got the signature handcrafted lemon tea, which was okay but nothing particularly stood out about it to me. I tried my friend's Wanpi lemon tea, which had an interesting fermented flavor, not bad but definitely an acquired taste. I'm not really sure what I expected, to be honest I just thought Lemomo was a really cute name so I was curious lol. Maybe it'll hit different if you're really craving something fresh and lemony in the summer. But I think it's just okay, there are plenty of other tea places in the area that I would probably go to over this place.

Yelp
Drinks are pretty good. Coconut lemon was very different and Great . Line pretty long but worth the wait

Yelp
Light and refreshing. I opted for lighter sugar on the coconut lemon and it was a tad bit sweet but okay.

Yelp
Came here was a nice cup of lemonade tea drink. The store is very clean but has no seats. You can order off a machine. I came here 2 times. At night they tend to have no more lemons so come earlier in afternoon. Overall good tea but on the expensive side.

Yelp
I'm always down to try new bubble tea places! The store itself looks neat and very blue. Clean, spotless. Ordering was straightforward, you can go to the register or they have a self pay to the right of entrance. I got the lemon green tea that it's known for, it was ok. I appreciate the fresh lemon juice and peel itself, however nothing special. The bubbles tasted different and looked different. Wasn't a fan. It's definitely not worth the price and time. Will try other new spots before returning back to this one.
google avatar

Gloria Z.

Yelp
The drink is delicious but for paying almost $10, it is ridiculously expensive for a lemon tea. I understand the wampi can be expensive, but lemon teas are inherently very cheap to make. Otherwise, it is a small shop with minimal window sill seating. Staff are fine.
google avatar

Aagdolla G.

Yelp
My bev was Hong Kong centennial milk tea. I had half sugar and it wasn't sweet so if you want it sweet keep regular amount sugar or add extra. The tea comes with a super skinny straw so when drinking it causes you to not finish it so fast..the one straw looks like 3 super super skinny straw glued together. I enjoyed it with tart I had from another store. $8.17 is total with tax
google avatar

Kat L.

Yelp
I saw this new lemon tea place while standing in line for a pineapple char su bun at mei lei wah across the street. I got the yashi oolong lemon tea. It said it was a "perfume" tea. Not sure what I meant so I asked the guy. He said the lemon smelled really good. So I got it. Well it smelled like perfume. I don't want to be drinking perfume. Uh. Wasn't happy to spend $8 plus for this drink. Very disappointed.
google avatar

Rebecca D.

Yelp
Self service option available. The lemon tea is not for everyone. It has a strong lemon taste but I personally like how they smash/muddle the lemons. If you don't like the lemon to be overpowering, don't order the signature drink.
google avatar

Wei Ting T.

Yelp

Yelp
2 thin slice of lemon and all that hard pounding is not gonna change the fact that it has very little lemon juice, very light tea flavoring and for $8+ dollars its just another cash grab until its history.
google avatar

Nelson L.

Yelp
A lot of hype but the drinks are okay. Nothing stands out but good service and great staff.
google avatar

Yelp
I got the lemon black tea since it was soft opening and they didn't have everything on the menu. The tea is strong but feels overly brewed so too astringent so it gives you dry mouth feel. The lemon is stronger than other spots but the tea makes it's a little hard to enjoy. If you need the extra caffeine that is the one to go for but it's for everyone with the astringent feel of it. I haven't tried the others so I can't say how it is. I don't know if it's really a special lemon but they look like limes. It's nice and fragrant though. But the prices are a bit steep for what it is. I don't think I would really want to frequent often and at that price, I feel like it's too basic of a drink. Maybe the wampee ones would be more unique but I don't love wampee and they didn't have any of them during the time I went. Orders are quick and can order though the pad or with the cashier. It's a tiny spot and they took over the dessert shop before it but I don't know if they would last long since there are so many spots for drinks on that block. At least it's another option but good if you like more fragrant drinks and maybe more tea based instead of the standard bubble tea drinks.

Yelp
Delicious Lemon Tea. Not too sweet even with regular sugar. I had tried 4 tea so far, Yashi wampee, Osmanthus Lemon, Oiran Maonian Jasmin, and Golden pineapple Lemon. They are all very good. A side note, the lemon tea series can't customize ice nor sugar lvl, in case u didn't read the fine print on the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
I liked it :) got the classic and also the honey lemon hk tea. Both refreshing and unique
google avatar

Yelp
I got the coconut lemon drink with regular sugar and less ice and it was so good!! It was really unique and different from what other tea places have and it was the perfect level of sweetness. I will definitely be back to try more drinks!

Yelp
Upon entering the store, you're hit with a strong and refreshing scent of tea and lemon and a hint of perfume. It was quite nice actually. It's a small store with no indoor seating (but there's a ledge by the window to sit and wait) and there's a self check out kiosk, or you may order at the desk with the staff. Service is quick and efficient, I didn't wait too long for my drinks to be ready and they were a bit busy when I went. I ordered the classic wampi lemon tea with regular sugar and less ice. I'm not sure if I like it. The lemon tea itself is nice and refreshing. The only factor that is making this a maybe for me is the perfume-y taste that you can't seem to avoid. It tastes almost artificial or added into the drink, however I'm almost sure that it's the natural flavor of it. It's the special lemons that they use that contain that perfume-like taste. You can see the staff in the back pounding the lemons into the drinks. The cup itself for this drink is fancy, with it wrapped in gold foil. I'm not so sure if I'll be getting this drink again in the future because I personally don't like the perfume taste in my foods or drinks. Luckily the after taste is just lemon and tea and no perfume haha! It is also a bit pricey for what it is. But I am willing to come back and try their other drinks!
google avatar

Yelp
They used high quality tea leaves and the perfumed lemons are not the store bought ones. I tried the signature kumquat lemonade, great all year round to smooth throat and help with digestion. Definitely recommend the Playboy lemon tea and the HK milk tea and it was well brewed and refreshing. There's a variety of Tea beverages and you can adjust the sweetness, ice level.

Pedro B.

Yelp
I drank one cold Yashi Oolong-lemon tea with very little sugar, and took one home. It was so well balanced(soothing, amazing smell/taste). The lemon zest was enticing). The owners(nice young couple) explained to my family the special unique characteristics of Perfume lemon. Pedro

Amanda C.

Yelp
I got the popular signature tea. It has a nice mellow lemon flavor. Kind of yuzu-esque. It's not a normal lemon, it's a very special type of lemon I believe. It tasted kind of healthy. I liked it. The guy was fun to talk to too. He was quite passionate and made me appreciate it more. Apparently it is one of the first times that this has been brought over to the states. There were so many pieces of this wanpi lemon inside. Pretty good value. I just kept drinking and there was so much inside. The boss was very nice and friendly. Great service.

Sunny Y.

Yelp
I ordered the Yashi Wampi Lemon Tea. This lemon tea is known for its use of Wampi (also known as Chinese bayberry) fruit, which adds an intriguing depth to the tartness of the traditional lemon tea. The drink was served with a reasonable amount of ice and sweetness just as I requested with regular sugar. The flavor was definitely vibrant. The lemon's acidity was sharp, but not overwhelming. The Wampi fruit introduced a unique, slightly sweet and tangy complexity that played beautifully with the lemon, giving the tea a richer, fuller flavor profile. It was refreshing, and the combination of tart and sweet flavors made each sip feel refreshing. The texture of the tea was smooth, with just the right amount of iced chill to balance the warmth of the citrus. Also ordered the Queen Bubble Milk Tea. This was an indulgent, creamy choice in contrast to the lighter, zesty lemon tea. The first thing I noticed was the milk tea's beautiful rich brown color, indicating the perfect balance of tea and milk. The milk itself was velvety, with a subtle, comforting sweetness. The staff was efficient and friendly, ensuring the drinks were prepared quickly and correctly. Definitely recommend when you're in Chinatown.
