Are you on your way to Lemon Grass yet? My mouth is watering recounting this culinary adventure!
For starters, we ordered the Gold Bags. I had no idea what this was, but with a name that awesome, how could I not try it? They were actually pretty similar to crab ragoon, except they contained shrimp and crab, no cream cheese. Served up with a side if sweet sauce, these crispy apps were delicious.
Next, I had the coconut vegetable soup. A gigantic bowl arrived with spiral carrots, baby corn, mushrooms, pea pods, and other delightful veggies. The coconut broth was seasoned with cilantro, my favorite herb, and made for an all-around 5-star soup.
For my main, I had the mango curry with fried tofu. A platter boat came out with the bright orange, creamy mango sauce, garnished with a variety of veg, including those awesome baby corns. Served up with a side of fluffy white rice, I kept eating this massive amount of curry until I was bursting at the seams. Lemon Grass definitely gives you your money's worth for portions.
While I was enthralled with the meal, I had to knock off a star because we had reservations, but for some reason, one of the staff members had cancelled it without our consent. We were left waiting 15 minutes for a table to open up.
Parking for Lemon Grass is pretty tricky, as street spaces are limited. There is a lot that customers can use by Busken, but you'll have to play Frogger crossing the traffic on Madison Road.
