"Since 1994, Lemon Grass Thai Restaurant has been a go-to in Marietta for Thai comfort foods. While the menu includes Thai standards like drunken noodles, pad see ew, and pad Thai, try one of the daily specials or chef’s suggestions such as the curry duck and Bangkok flounder with sauteed vegetables in curry sauce. The menu also features a few Talay (Thai-Chinese) dishes, along with Hawaiian fried rice and Singapore noodles." - Carolyn Desalu

After a long time I try an original Thai food outside of Thailand, the food extremely good and top-notch, fresh and delicious. I love the Thai beer and spicy sauce. We order fried rice and noodles. Service was fantastic. Thai ice tea was perfect. We will back definitely.

Google
Great authentic Thai food. The family dinner option was really good. It included a choice of salad, soup, an appetizer, and a main dish. The spicy noodles that we opted in a family dinner was so delicious. Also the green curry had a right mix of spice and flavors. The staff were very friendly and the portion sizes were generous. Awesome dining experience overall!

You can experience authentic Thai food with friendly staff in the quaint, tucked away establishment. Only real ones know about this little treasure☺️. I have been going here since the early 2010s, but haven't been back to eat there for about 5 years. Man, I really have been missing out! I never forgot about it, just wasn't ever near here to eat. Today, I got a fresh reminder why I need to come back and eat here more often❤️. The food is still fresh and tastes the same. It's the consistency for me! The portion sizes are very large. And the service is quick. We had Pud Thai, Basil Fried Rice, Basil Rolls and the Tea Rose. Please get the Tea Rose if you like dumplings! They have this unique and rich umami flavor that I don't find in other dumplings. Gotta love Lemongrass🥰🥰

Google
Such a perfect lunch spot. Really great food and friendly service. We loved our lunch specials for $9.20 you get a spring roll, soup or salad and we got Lemon Grass Vegetables, and a red curry. Ample rice. It is highly recommended by both of us. 30 years in business. Try it.

Google
It’s more like a Chinese food restaurant than Thai. If you don’t order curry, the others are Chinese. I had the Pud Thai. It was way too sweet for an Thai dish. I added lime juice from three wedges, didn’t make any difference. The only dish that was Thai was the curry duck. In conclusion, this is a Chinese restaurant with a touch of Thai.

Google
Chinese operating Thai restaurant. We ordered green curry and Pad Thai(they called it pud thai). Chicken was a bit smelly and wine was stale.

Google
This is the best Thai food I have found in the area! The cheese rolls stole the show, shrimp roll app was really great too. I had the house pud thai, it was the excellent as well as the Rama chicken. This place is a must go, if you like Thai. **Beer, Wine & Sake**

Google
One of our go-to local places for fresh, quick and tasty Thai. They can turn up the heat too if you want them too. We love the folks that work here. They seem like a family and really put their heart into the service.

Faisal M.

Yelp
Can't believe that I didn't find this place much sooner. One of the best authentic tasting Thai food. I had my fair share and this certainly is now one of my Fav. They do know how to make it Thai hot :). Menu is being redone as price is changing. At least that is what I was told and did notice a slight difference when I paid the bill.

Earl S.

Yelp
This may be one of the best Thai restaurants I've experienced. From start to finish, we had a terrific experience. The spring rolls are made in house and you can taste the difference. There is a sweetness to them that I don't think I've experienced at any other location. The coconut chicken soup was soothing to my throat and creamy. It was served lukewarm so as not to be too hot. My curry fried rice was amazing! I loved the sweet spice and smoky flavor, the huge and copious shrimp, and the preparation of the tofu. The servers were personable, accommodations, and fast. This is a restaurant well-done. I think I might return for lunch today? Bravo!

Zoe S.

Yelp
This was our first time here Local neighborhood gem for when you are craving good food fast! We got seated right away and service was fast. They have a great dinner deal for $17 you get soup, salad, spring roll and an entree. Can't beat the price. Everything came out fast and it was also tasty. We will definitely be back. They also have great lunch specials for $9.50.

Milton H.

Yelp
Reasonable pricing, tasty food, and excellent service! There is plenty of parking, but it may be a small walk to the restaurant itself.

David G.

Yelp
Lemongrass is a consistently great Thai restaurant, with delicious food, excellent customer service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I've been coming here for years, and over time tried numerous solid dishes but keep coming back to the Panang curry with tofu. It's sweet, rich, and I get nice and spicy. I eat meat, but think tofu is the way to go with this dish. Also highly recommend the chicken coco soup and trying the cheese roll. It's also really great value for money, especially the Family Dinner. I used to live closer but still it's now a go to when stopping in the area.

Yelp
This is a little hidden gem in East Cobb. If you aren't looking for it, you will miss it. It is located in East Lake Shopping Center in the very back across from The Wing Cafe. Free parking in the shopping center. My son has been several times with his girlfriend. He told me the food was really good. I had been meaning to go. He said the chicken coconut soup was surprisingly good. Well, to my surprise, his girlfriend surprised me with lunch last Friday, and I took myself this Friday. She told me about the lunch menu. So she brought be Basil Beef Fried Rice and asked for hot rice. The rice was truly spicy. I do like spicy but wasn't expecting it, so it caught me off guard. It was my lunch and dinner. Yesterday, I got the Chicken Fried Rice regular. And let me not forget that delectable spring roll w the peanut sauce. I am not a peanut fan. The roll was so good dipped in the sauce. I looked it up after the fact. Anyway, I will order extra spring rolls going forward. If you dine in, you get the soup as well Not on the to go orders. Both dishes were really good. Simple good food without a bunch of ingredients. I ate all my food. Again, for me, one entree is enough for lunch and dinner. They gube you a nice portion size. For $9.80, it is a good deal. The staff was nice and helpful. Definitely be having a few more lunches there. Check it out!!

Yelp
Such a hidden gem!!! We went here on a whim the other night and had the best meal. Service was great and it's nice but still casual inside. They have a bar and also do to go orders. The family dinner deal is amazing, and such a great price for the amount of food. It comes with a spring or cheese roll, salad, soup, and entree. We tried both the spring and cheese roll, chicken coconut soup, and wonton soup, and the pud thai. Literally everything was INCREDIBLE. We were so happy to find such a good and authentic Thai restaurant! We cannot wait to go back here, it will absolutely become a usual spot for us!

Bob J.

Yelp
Very good! The servers are so friendly and quick! The lunch specials are a great deal. For less than $10, you get a huge meal, a egg roll, and a soup or salad. Wasn't a big fan of the chicken but the tofu was great. Also loved the Green Tea! Will be back!

Ishara F.

Yelp
The food was not bad. We asked for Thai hot and they made it decently spicy compared to most places that add no spice despite asking. They also brought a cup of chili on the side when I asked for some that gave me the kick I needed it. I have a big issue with the way they make their chicken though. The chicken is kind of dry and it kind of ruined my basil chicken dish. I usually always get the same dish at every Thai place and this was the only place where I did not enjoy it as much. This Thai restaurant kind of reminds me of Chinese food with the way they make the chicken and the gravy in the meat dishes. Good flavor in the food. Not bland at all. People working here are very friendly and kind.

Yelp
After being a loyal customer for over 10 years and being referred to as "family" we won't be going back after a horrible experience with service. The waitress, who we have had multiple bad experiences with, handed me the check machine and got disgusted with me when I left her a 12% tip. She went and got a menu and pointed out that they charge 20% for all parties of four or more, yes four. My friend then pointed out that all the prices on the menu were significantly off. She then pointed to a sign by the entrance on an 8.5x11 piece of paper saying they had raised prices 15%+. When we talked to the manager, she was pleasant, but said her costs were high and we didn't have to eat there any longer if the tipping policy and pricing didn't work. We were taken back to learn that is the way they would treat a loyal customer, even a tipper on carry out orders and someone who had recommended friends and family for years, not to mention left good tips for the better wait staff. It isn't worth eating anywhere where you have to tip 20% for a party of four for crummy service on a bill that comes out higher than the menu. Very sad this was handled so poorly, but it speaks volumes on what they think of their customers.

Brenda S.

Yelp
What a fantastic experience. Great service and food. We will definitely be back to try something new.

Missmonasuzette W.

Yelp
4 of us went to Lemon Grass last night for dinner at 5pm. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and inviting. All of us enjoyed the dishes except one who did not like fish sauce. I chose the Panang Curry (beef) and it was delicious, but I switched with our friend who does not like fish sauce and I do. I will certainly order the Panang Curry again anytime. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are large. We will be returning for sure. For a town (Marietta) that has such a large population, it isn't very easy to find a good restaurant that's reasonably priced and has good food.

Bryoni P.

Yelp
Great food. Always hot and comes out rather quickly. The flavor of the Thai fried rice is amazing. You don't need to add anything to it, The chicken is white meat, and nice flavors. Definitely love going here for a quick lunch!

Marty M.

Yelp
Love everything about this place. Food is always fresh, delicious and fast. Servers are wonderful - like family friends they make you so welcome!

Shawn K.

Yelp
We stopped in after the wait was so long at the wing place across the way. I hadn't tried it before, but the service was quick and pleasant. The atmosphere was cozy and nice! I loved my spicy pad Thai, and I would definitely stop here again! We discovered a gem unexpectedly and I would recommend!

Fran S.

Yelp
If you ever have the privilege to visit Lemon Grass Thai, please ask for Lucy. She is such a wonderful and kind woman. They have two lovely Thai beers that you need to try. It is a Thai restaurant, so if you're not in Thailand it is important to get as authentic as one possibly can. They give you plenty of food. They don't skimp on the seafood or the food for that matter. It is understandable that prices go up, but it should never forego the quality of the food. Lemon Grass Thai understood the assignment. Please check them out if you are in East Cobb.

Yelp
They NEVER miss. They've been open forever for a reason - it's amazing. Tiny restaurant, but people are always pretty quiet. Service is quick and efficient, food comes out fast. This is the absolute hallmark of Thai food. Their pad thai has had me craving it for 7 years. Their chicken coconut soup is in my top 5 soups of all time. You can customize how spicy you want it to be - do yourself a favor and never order Thai spicy. It is PACKED full of red pepper and the spice can be unbearable coming from someone who used to drink hot sauce straight out of a bottle. The toilet and your stomach will thank you later. Try the Thai tea if you love black tea! I promise, it's worth it.

D L.

Yelp
The best Thai food in Georgia. Very affordable and amazing service. I love this place and it's always good and consistent. They have the best coconut soup and it's a must try!

Christy W.

Yelp
Thai food lovers listen up! This is an old favorite that never disappoints. The service is always great and the food is even better. I love that they have brown rice and that you can decide your level of heat on any dish, even the coconut soup. Everything seems fresh and homemade which makes this such a special place. When dining in they always keep my hot tea coming and that makes this Thai food lover happy! I no longer live in the area but still make this place a regular stop for pickup when visiting friends.

Brian P.

Yelp
Good food, reasonable price. Waitress are attentive, portion are a good size. They have been there forever.

Lynn A.

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was born, actually before that. My parents met here. The food is authentic and fresh. The service is great, and the ambiance is casual yet romantic. I recommend to anyone who is new to Thai food and wants to try something new. I always get the Shrimp and Scallops in Yellow Curry, xtra spicy because I love the kick. If you are America and can "handle spice" I would recommend getting your food Medium Spicy because Thai spice is next level.

Joseph A.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Being able to choose the level of spicy-ness of you dish is a plus.

Bonnie D.

Yelp
Great place for eating in but we needed take out. Nice generous portions of Nam Sod and Pad Thai. This long time establishment never fails. Always fresh and great prices. Delicious!

Lisa R.

Yelp
We come to Lemon Grass for a consistently pleasant experience. You can order a four-course meal for $15. Here's how my order always plays out (see pictures!). Appetizer: Spring roll Salad: Ginger salad Soup: Won Ton Meal: Thai Basil (medium spice with pork and white rice) I always leave satisfied with leftovers...and a little good fortune. They bring a fortune cookie with your bill. If that's not enough to entice you to give this place a try, the staff wear masks and are ALWAYS friendly and attentive. Enjoy!

Jill W.

Yelp
They're a bit hard to find! Park in front of the big martial arts complex and go into this weird corner alley across from a tiki restaurant. Yum. Their soup was tasty, and the pad thai tasted clean and aromatic. Sweet server ladies. Even their summer rolls tasted so fresh. Would go there again, good portions too.

Dale G.

Yelp
Excellent Thai food. Nice size serving. I got the family dinner which included a small salad, 1 spring roll, full entree and a side of white rice. 1/2 came home with me. This restaurant has been in that shopping center for years and you'll see why if you go. Worth the stop.

Jade S.

Yelp
My all time favorite Thai restaurant in Atlanta. I haven't had anything better. Great for dine in and carry out. The prices are also very reasonable and so are the portion sizes.

Paris T.

Yelp
I got the family dinner plan that comes with a salad soup entree and a spring roll. It was $17 which is pretty reasonable for the amount of food. The sauce on the salad was very strong and a bit too overpowering for a salad. I got wonton soup and it was a bit bland. Much blander than the salad but overall not bad flavor just needs more salt. The fried spring roll was the best item out of the appetizers and comes with a sweet peanut sauce. For the main entree I got the spicy beef noodles. The give a choice of spice levels and I choose the spiciest option. The server warned me that it was super spicy. It was somewhat spicy and from a scale of 1-10 where 8 is habanero then I would say a 6. The flavor of the dish was very good tho. Not too strong or oily. Very good overall but disappointed about spice level. The service was very quick and everyone was polite.

Su L.

Yelp
This restaurant has been in East Cobb for a very long time and has remained consistently good. The staff are friendly and the food delicious.

Krystle W.

Yelp
Everything was great. I came in for dinner was immediately seated and water was brought over to the table. Without asking another waitress followed with lemons. The atmosphere was welcoming could go for a date night or family dinner. I ordered the lemongrass with shrimp and my mother had the masaman curry with shrimp both were great. The serving sizes were just right for the price. I would recommend and am definitely coming back again. I usually remember photos but let's just say it was that good.

Mama B.

Yelp
An absolute staple for great thai!! Casual family style restaurant. The quality of the food has been has been excellent and consistent for years. The spicy basil and mapo tofu as well as the lemon grass tofu are our favorites. Service is attentive and paced well.

Laurie D.

Yelp
This restaurant is hidden back in a courtyard area of a strip mall. We had a difficult time finding it but after we called and got directions we found it right away. We couldn't believe how many people were there before and after us. They are doing a great business. They are understaffed and the sign on the door says they will be closed on Sundays because of that. We were served quite fast. We had fried spring rolls. They had good ingredients in them, but they were pretty tasteless. I had yellow curry, and my friend had Massaman curry. My yellow curry was spicier than I wanted for mild, but my friends Massaman curry was excellent. We would say that our food was average. It was so popular that we wondered what else people were eating because they appeared to know the staff and the regulars.

Jessica D.

Yelp
This place is incredible! The food is always great quality, they truly give you enough food to feed two people. They're always a delight when I pick up food too! Such tasty food! Highly recommend!

Carolyn C.

Yelp
Always delicious The cheese rolls are one of my favorite things to order. The curry and lemon grass is also good.

William S.

Yelp
Always great every time I go. Probably the best Massaman curry in the Kennesaw/Marietta area.

Maggie W.

Yelp
I recommend this place for anyone looking for some delicious Thai food. I come here whenever I'm craving something spicy. My favorite is the chicken Tom yum. I usually get a soup made Thai hot and an appetizer of the crispy shrimp. I'm really not even a big shrimp fan but I decided to branch out one day and now I can't get enough. The service is always excellent, everyone here is very friendly.

Marci L.

Yelp
Is that food coloring? Why! It made it so weird to eat! The flavor was just ok, on the bland side. I really want to love this place, but we're not there yet... I'll give it a couple more tries.. but WHY FOOD COLORING?! Stop that. And no.. st patty's day was over a month ago.

Alexis A.

Yelp
Picked up a to-go order of: Pad wu sen (noodle dish) 9/10 Good flavor but pretty oily Pad thai noodle 4/10 Dry noodles hardly any peanut sauce Very oily Noodles were a little mushy too Chicken coconut soup 6/10 A bit sweet for my liking

Harry T.

Yelp
Consistently good Thai food. Management is very nice. Love the spicy noodles and pad Thai. Good lunch specials

Beca B.

Yelp
The food here is great! But what really separates this restaurant from others is the amazing customer service. Every employee is so accommodating and friendly! And best coconut soup ever

Clint E.

Yelp
First time visit! After moving from Atlanta (where world class Asian foods abound), I had yet to find a good Thai restaurant near the house. Until today. Lemon Grass is my new "go to". I placed a to go order and was greeted at the restaurant with cheerful service. I picked up my order of Panang Beef, cheese rolls, and a side of fish sauce and peppers (prik nam pla). Bottom line - the food was absolutely delicious. Great stuff! I am happy to have found this place.

Philip M.

Yelp
I recently visited my parents and we dined here for dinner at their suggestion. They live nearby and dine here regularly and love it. The restaurant is hidden from view and one must walk down an alley in this strip mall to find the restaurant. Parking is free and ample. They ordered meals with meat and I ordered a vegetarian dish. They ordered appetizers with meat plus an order of wontons stuffed with cream cheese and crab meat. The staff inquired about our choice of spice level and everything was delivered as ordered with the correct spice level. The service from beginning to end was friendly and attentive. Our food was fresh and delicious. I had low expectations but the portion size and quality was surprisingly awesome. I had plenty of food to take home for lunch the next day. Our server even brought us extra rice to take home for our leftover meals. I recommend this place!!

Cloud W.

Yelp
This restaurant is a hidden gem. It's kind of difficult to find in that shopping plaza since it's in the back. But the food is really good. The soup was very flavorful, appetizers are good and the food entrees are really good. They are understaffed so service is a bit slow it took some time. But everybody is understaffed right now

Scott M.

Yelp
One of my favorite Asian spots! The food is always good, very consistent and yummy. The owner, Ginger, is really nice and friendly, as is the staff. And the portions are huge! I do have my favorites but the list is too long to mention. I've never really had a bad bite here so you're safe ordering anything on the menu. They take great pride in their food. You can't go wrong here!

Katrina G.

Yelp
i visited this restaurant last year because my coworker suggested it & it was close to my house. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately and seated. There were not a lot of patrons when I went. I ordered the Thai Ice Tea, Fried Chicken Wings, Red Curry with chicken, Coconut Soup and a Spring Roll. The food was really good especially the wings, the red curry was okay but not my favorite. I would definitely go back and I would recommend this restaurant. This restaurant is located in a plaza with a huge parking lot so parking should not be an issue. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Now let's get back to the wings lol the wings are served with this sweet sauce that is like the perfect blend that I never knew I needed. Fried crispy just the way I like it. I could really go on and on but I'll stop here

Dr Z.

Yelp
I used to visit this place frequently but the service and food has gone downhill since the pandemic. They used to have better food and more cheerful accommodating service. I really like the soup, and was willing to give the place another chance. Big mistake. The pad thai, which I always get and has been typically great, was dry and bland. Typically the bean sprouts are on the side only, but in addition to that extra bean sprouts (in addition to what's on the side) were mixed all throughout the dish, making the already bland and dry dish worse. I asked the waitress to remake it but they initially refused, saying that this is how it always is and that the noodles soak up the sauce. I've had the dish several times here so I know what it's supposed to taste and look like. After trying to convince me there was nothing wrong with the dish, she gruffly took it back and said they would try to fix it. Unfortunately it was worse, chewy noodles swimming in a tepid sugary sauce. I understand people make mistakes. I wish they would have admitted that instead of trying to bully me into liking a poorly made dish that was different from their usual high standards. She did not even check in after to see how it was. She was gruff and curt with us when she came by. Due to their poor service I don't think I will be back any time soon. We ordered another dish (fried rice) that was bland and didn't have much meat in it.

Stefanie K.

Yelp
Beyond Delicious!!! Try to Coconut soup, OMG!!! I had the vegetable fried rice and it's loaded with veggies

Toren A.

Yelp
They are sweet. Their coconut chicken soup is amazing. We go at lunch and love it. A friend didn't care for hers. But I stick with Masaman & soup. Worth a visit!

Brandy M.

Yelp
I just love this place. My husband introduced me to Lemon grass for lunch! The lemon grass shrimp made Thai hot is fantastic. The service is always spot on, and the women working here are the friendliest. It doesn't matter whether you pick up or dine in. They are always lovely. They get the meals out quickly and always taste fresh and delicious. I love supporting local businesses like this.

Dennis L.

Yelp
I've visited this restaurant 3 times in the past year. I have to say that the food here has impressed me each time I've been here. The flavor is great and the price is fair (factoring inflation). I highly recommend this spot and will be a regular for years to come!
