I've been a couple times now and this is a great spot to get some tasty take out. Good portion sizes, good selection without being overwhelming. Will be coming again!

Megan S.

Google
My favorite pad Thai - and it is so reasonably priced with a large portion size. I used to live in the area and now will drive 30 minutes just to get it. No frills Thai spot with the best flavor, price and value.

Google
Absolutely love it here. We call or order online & pay then pick up our orders, it's always easy. We've ordered it over a dozen times the past couple of years-always consistent, GREAT food, always very courteous and hard working staff, always very prompt. It's been terrific. Some of the things we've tried are their Pad Thai, Indonesian Rice, Chicken Satay -all delicious and flavorful. Much better pad thai than all other places I've tried so far. The chicken satay is grilled, easy to eat skewers to dip in the accompanying peanut sauce dip. The Indonesian rice is like nothing I've had anywhere, SO good. It's a gorgeous bed of flavorful rice accompanied by crispy chicken(great crispy chicken!) and/or veggies: broccoli, grean beans, onions, sprouts, baby corn. I absolutely recommend trying things on their menu that sound good to you & enjoy.

Google
Tasty Thai at reasonable prices. I love the Pad See Ew here. Simple with no pesky onions to bother you. broccoli hunks could be smaller but I still ate them.

Google
I had a great experience at Lemon Thai Cuisine, the food was great and Nadia was extremely helpful!

Google
Got the pad thai minus eggs, spring rolls and veggie dumplings. Have no complaints. Everything was very hot from delivery to my place and amazing portions. I’m very picky with my pad thai, but perfect amount of flavors! Glad to have found my new go-to thai restaurant for a very decent price

Google
So this was my first time ordering I was looking for a good place to order and have a good experience unfortunately it did not happen I order 2 orders of pork fry rice and when I picked it up I ask the register person if I can have some sauce and was told the rice already was made with sauce. I reply ok so I can't get no sauce and I was just told no. When I open the food it didn't even looked like a pork fry rice looked like it had chicken and they put the whole cherry tomatoes on it . Never had pork fry rice with a whole piece of cherry tomatoes The food had no flavor it was plain extremely disappointed I would never order from here again I was expecting great customer service and food for the price I paid of $25 dollars.

Sarah K.

Google
If you like spending $20+ on one entree, where it arrives an hour late, and the carton is only half full, you should order from here. Severely ripped off and disappointed. Will go back to my typical, much better Thai restaurant.

Yelp
My family of 4 and a friend was visiting Harvard Musuem of Natural History and my boys got hungry after our visit. We yelped and found this small mom & pop restaurant hidden in a residential area. It's a small restaurant of maybe about 5-6 tables. It was an awkward greeting when we first entered as the owner (?) asked what we wanted. I told her we needed a table for 5 and she told us to order and pay first. My first impression was negative but the overall service and food was good. We ordered the following; 1. 2-Lemon thai wings (6 pcs each): the wings were very crispy but there is flavor to it but there is sauce on side to dip. My boys enjoyed this. 2. Thai veggie curry puff: i enjoyed this as it reminded me of a Vietnamese pate chaud. 3. Tom yum hot & sour soup, chicken: hubby says it was a good, perfect balance of sweet & sour, slightly spicy 4. Khao muh gai tod: the chicken is crispy but the rice is dried. The flavor is plain but there is a sauce on side to dip. 5. Country style pad thai, shrimp: my 12yo says it was favorful but more on sweeter side. The noodles were chewey as we like it, but he says it was a little hard. I tasted it and I think its the type of noodles and not that it's undercooked. 6. Crazy noodles, chicken: It has a nice spicy kick to it and the noodles were cooked just right to the texture, chewey but not soft and the veggies eere not overcooked. 7. Crispy chicken hot basil: There is a good spicy kick and it is very flavorful. The most flavorful of the dishes we ordered. However, it had only onions and peppers. More variety of veggies would've been nice. Although some plates were lightly seasoned or had no flavor, the side sauce helped made it more flavorful and the food was good in general. The owner is nice despite the initial greeting and she was accommodating to us. She asked if we wanted the appetizers first or have it come out thr same time with the rest of the food, brought water our for us and didn't want me to stand by to wait for it, and

Yelp
So unbelievably gas! Yummmmm!! Got the crispy chicken pad Thai and Thai rolls. Can't wait to go back for more!

Yelp
Ordered takeout and it was good overall. The food was ready very quickly and the staff was pleasant. I got the crispy chicken with ginger rice and the golden fried banana. The chicken was good and the rice was really light, I'm not sure how they cooked it but it was very pleasant. The fried banana was SO GOOD, I could have eaten a whole second portion, highly recommend. Overall good meal from Lemon Thai Cuisine, would order from here again.

Yelp
All you need to know is that I went twice this week. I love the food here. My go to is the pineapple fried rice with chicken. I get it with a side of red chili sauce. I also order the Thai rolls that have a veggie filling. Last, but not least, you have to drink it down with a Thai ice tea. A must try for Thai food lovers!
google avatar

Sharon P.

Yelp
I've ordered rice with steamed vegetables twice. Both times the rice was perfect, the vegetables were plenty, the food was hot and ready for pickup within 20 minutes or so. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Sometimes the only option for delivery is a third party service such as GrubHub or UberEats or DoorDash. Well, that's not the case for Lemon Thai. They offer to take both delivery or pickup orders on their website (http://www.lemonthai.com/) through Toast. The delivery fee seemed reasonable at first glance, unlike the inflated prices deliver apps often offer on top of their delivery fees, but I was placing an order for a friend and she was happy to pick it up as she made her way home. Order placing was simple enough. Prices for their carb dishes were quite reasonable summer 2022 at $12-13. I like Thai, and it is a cuisine that works well for their dairy constraint. And if you set up an account with Toast, you can earn points. (I hope those don't expire...) Can't judge the food myself though since I didn't get to eat it. But they live in the neighborhood, and didn't balk at my consideration of Lemon Thai for this meal, so that says something. Steamed Thai Dumplings (7 pieces) $8 Crispy Chicken Pad Thai $13 Pork Pad See You $12

Yelp
What a great discovery! It's been a while since I enjoyed Thai food. The quality at so many places has declined. We ordered delivery from Lemon Thai without any expectations and the food was delicious. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Allegra P.

Yelp
The biggest mistake I've made is not trying the crispy chicken pad thai sooner. It's easily the best in the area. THE BEST. I mean this stuff is so good and the portion is great. At $13.91 after tax (I pick up in person) it's the right price and the cravable pad thai you are looking for. The automated phone answering machine worked really seamlessly for me.
google avatar

Tracy B.

Yelp
Was in work and went to go order from Similans (our go to at work) and they have permanently closed, so another co-worker suggested here! OMG so glad they did, Ordered on Grub Hub, than ran over & picked it up. SOO GOOD, Pad that was light & flavorful without being greasy! All the apps were good, you know they are always slightly greasy but these were packed with flavor! Cant wait to go back & get more!
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
I ordered take out and it was ready in a timely manner. The pad Thai is pretty simple, but they give you a large portion. I'd recommend this place for take out
google avatar

Jaime Martin A.

Yelp
Needed a quick bite to eat before a movie at AMC, and this place hit the spot. I was able to call ahead and order my pad Thai dish over the phone. It only took 15 min and I was able to pay at the counter when I arrived. The pad Thai was really delicious. We ate inside the space and it was very clean. The dinner floor is a little small, so keep it kind it is not something I'd recommend for larger crowds, but a nice spot for intimate lunches/dinners, for sure.
google avatar

Yelp
Best Thai delivery in Somerville. Reliable, solidly good food and great service. Despite years of needing to drive up and down Highland's land-mines and pits and holes, they're always on time delivering sheer taste. Perfect when you need happy food on a Friday.

Mark S.

Yelp
Food was fair but the place is nasty. My shoes were literally sticking to the floor. Definitely needs a visit by a health in inspector. The worst is how incredibly rude the person working the register was. I think I pissed her off by asking for the wifi password. Obviously I don't recommend.

April M.

Yelp
I have tried this café a few times now from moving to Wakefield about 1 year ago, there is a young lady that works there and takes phone orders and front orders. She is very polite and friendly every time. I would definitely be back due to her politeness. Keep up the good work young lady.

Yelp
some of my favorite thai food in the area. super flavorful & generous portions. i love their wings, thai tea, basil fried rice, and drunken noodle (especially w crispy chicken or tofu)! i usually get takeout and the order is always packaged with care. great service at a good price :)

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Lemon Thai food is consistently excellent, reasonable priced, and prepared quickly. The owners and staff are always friendly and professional. it's our go-to for good Thai in Somerville.

Alex K.

Yelp
My favorite thai place in the area, fantastic price and quality for takeout. Their spicy pad thai is just fantastic.
google avatar

Allie D.

Yelp
This place was ok. The delivery took longer than expected and they didn't give us forks! Make sure you're prepared for that, or you could write in the special instructions to include utensils in your order. My friend and I both got completely different things - she got the Crispy Chicken Pad Thai and I got the Steamed Broccoli with Tofu. She rated the pad thai a 7/10. My food was decent. I loved the broccoli and the peanut dipping sauce (I got the medium and it only had a mild kick to it). It also comes with rice on the side. The tofu, though, was VERY undercooked (which you can probably tell from the picture), so the texture wasn't good. I would recommend also adding to the special instructions to make the tofu crispy, if that's how you like it.
google avatar

Sunmee H.

Yelp
I added the cilantro to the pad Thai, it was so flavorful and good best one I've tried in Boston yet! We also got Indonesia Fried Rice which was good but not spicy at all although I think it's supposed to be. The crispy chicken on both tasted like chicken katsu!
google avatar

Tatyana T.

Yelp
I ordered on Uber eats. The pad Thai with crispy chicken and Thai iced tea were soo good. They gave a good amount of chicken and the dish arrived nice and hot. The iced tea had the perfect amount of sweetness my only complaint was that there was no tape over the lid of the to-go cup. Which caused the drink to spill a bit and I'm not sure if it was tampered with, it'd be easy for someone to drink from it before it arrived. Other than that, everything was great

Diane L.

Yelp
We had a fabulous anniversary dinner at Lemon Thai. Crisp but lightly chewy, perfectly seasoned soft shelled crab. Green beans so fresh they jumped out of a nearby garden, tender yet with body, nicely flavored: how do they do it? Eggplant in heavenly flavored sauce; same for chicken and veggie dish. kudos for having brown rice as an option. Served pleasantly in timely manner. Simple, relaxing decor. We'll be back!

Will C.

Yelp
As a takeout place in Somerville, Lemon Thai is perfect. The Crispy Chicken Pad Thai is consistently great and I swear that their chicken wings are some of the best in the area. Whenever I order, my food is ready within a half hour (often in 15-20 min) which is amazing. I love Lemon Thai because it's convenient, reliable, and not overpriced.
google avatar

Ray N.

Yelp
After I tasted their crispy chicken pad thai, I thought that would be my new go to thai restaurant order. Unfortunately, their crispy chicken is so good it makes all other crispy chicken taste like garbage. I recommend the country style pad Thai and add on the chicken. I always order that and their Bangkok golden. They can be a bit inconsistent with the spice level so be careful, but it just tastes too good for me to knock them down a star for that.
google avatar

Sarah F.

Yelp
Reliable Thai take-out. Fast, reasonably priced and they are very accommodating. Parking can be tricky.
google avatar

Anna F.

Yelp
Had the country style pad thai, with some added hot sauce. Quite good! Could have done without the chicken and shrimp. I'm more of a tofu girl- have to remember that next time. The tofu was perfect- super crunchy. Service was excellent, and they have a clean kitchen and neat contemporary Thai music playing.

A H.

Yelp
This place has the best food! It's always perfect! Delivery or pick up, or eating in! The staff is wonderful. Crispy chicken pad thai cannot be beat!
google avatar

Nycfoodie N.

Yelp
I am a regular customer here and order the pad thai or drunken noodles along with sticky mango rice. I once ordered the thai mango sticky rice recently and the mango was not in good shape. I left the restaurant know and they made it right on the spot. Really love this place- it's tasty, fresh, quickly prepared and I appreciate the great customer service. I recommend and will continue to order from here :)

Yelp
While watching playoff hockey on Versus, I became hungry and needed to feed - I didn't want to leave the sight of my television, even for a second, afraid to miss a goal (even though I have a DVR and could rewind easily). Instead of cooking I decided to get something delivered. Usually my go-to spot is Wang's on Broadway but I decided to try Lemon Thai. Why Lemon Thai? Well first off, it's very close to my place. Secondly, I had driven by it a thousand times and noticed its more than decent ratings on Yelp. Thirdly, my roomie ordered from there in the past with much success... After glancing at the menu on Foodler I decided to get some Thai vegetable rolls, a shrimp-free Pad Thai and a sprite. Including the trip and the delivery fee, this meal fit for a king cost me less than $20 and less than twenty minutes later the meal arrived at my apartment, pipping hot. The Thai rolls were delicious and perfectly fried. The cabbage in it along with the carrots were great although I noticed that they tasted a lot better dipped in the sauce which came with it than without somehow. The pad thai was pretty standard although not as oily as others I've had in other establishment which was nice. All in all this is a great, modest Thai restaurant which serves much better food than it's exterior would lead one to think. I guess one shouldn't judge a book by it's cover? Lesson learned.

Allie S.

Yelp
Ordered delivery via Grubhub. I finally decided on the Thai garlic pork dish which comes with rice. The price is decent and the serving size is good for one meal so don't plan on leftovers. The pork was very flavorful and I enjoyed the simple sauce mixed with the rice. Another good Thai restaurant to include in my delivery rotation for these cold nights.

Yelp
Gosh, I loveeeee pad Thai. Absolutely love it. Have gotten it from Seattle through Los Angeles out to the UK and down south to Charleston. The country Style pad Thai IS THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. It's a mix of spicy plus chicken and shrimp. Unreal. My wife is a pad-see-ew girl and it's her favorite as well because they actually put a decent amount of veggies in it. The best part? Take out is always ready within 15 min even on a Saturday night when the rest of the world is getting take out. I may just live in Somerville my entire tour here just to be close to this pad Thai!
google avatar

Becca P.

Yelp
I have ordered from here a few times and they are pretty quick and the food is good. I always get the beef pad see yew and tom yum soup. I had ordered the Thai Iced Tea with no sugar but they sent it to me with sugar. I wish they could have called to say it was already pre-mixed so I could opt out of the drink rather than send it to me the way I don't want it. I like to use stevia in place of sugar. My bf usually gets the scallion pancakes and crispy chicken pad thai. The crispy chicken is realllly good. I would order from here again.
google avatar

Patricia W.

Yelp
Solid take-out Thai food! I went through a period of constantly getting take-out from this place when I first moved to Somerville and was still settling in. Tonight I got reminiscent and ordered some delivered. Recommended: country style pad Thai, mango fried rice and basil fried rice (can substitute brown rice for +$1), Penang curry (or any of the curries). Glass noodles are great if you want something healthy and full of veggies, but a bit bland otherwise. For spice lovers, they offer a scale but FYI they seem to err low on spice levels. I ordered 'medium' and it's barely spicey. Portions seem to vary. Tonight (and most of the time) I got very generous portions but time prior they skimped and it didn't seem worth the price, but maybe that was just a fluke. Also- they were pleasantly fast today, came in 30 min rather than the 60 estimated. Woohoo!
google avatar

Lindsay D.

Yelp
Yummy food served hot and fast. I love that you always get a ton of colorful, mouth-watering veggies! They have a wonderful selection of curries, chicken, beef, seafood, noodles/pad thai, fried rice, soups, and appetizers. They also have five duck dishes, which is unique. The place is small, but table service is nonetheless pleasant. Good vegetarian options too! My only complaint: I did not enjoy the "Chicken in Love" (chicken with peanut sauce). The sauce was reminiscent of Jiff or Skippy - thick, heavy, goopy, totally overpowering the meat and veggies. A nice delicate, thin sauce would make this dish shine. Despite this one hiccup, I will definitely be back!

Sophie M.

Yelp
Best pad Thai in the area!!!! This is my new favorite place. Pad see ew was good too.
google avatar

Richard M.

Yelp
There really isn't another place I'd do take Thai out but Lemon Thai. Their food is always spot on and delicious. I remember the first time I came here almost 14 years ago. I ordered the crispy chicken pad Thai. It's just as good today as it was then. I've tried multiple dishes and everyone of them has been amazing. But the pad Thai with crispy chicken is perfection. They really are the best Thai in the area and some of the best Thai I've had. I'm really glad they're still around.
google avatar

Tracy D.

Yelp
We ordered lunch today here to support the local businesses during COVID19. I called ahead for coconut with chicken soup and wonton soup. We would have preferred more won't s in that soup. The coconut and chicken with mushrooms had a great taste to it. The place was clean and everyone was wearing a mask as they prepared the good.
google avatar

Alan C.

Yelp
Country style pad thai w/ crispy chicken was excellent. It was spicy and flavored well. The noodles were of good quality. I should have asked for more egg on it. The second time I ate was lunch special. Very very good deal. I had the Lemon Thai fried rice with chicken and had the dumpling and soup. The tomyun soup was superb, loved it. The dumplings were also good. The fried rice was ok as it was a little too soggy. That was my only complain which explains the 4 stars. Thai iced tea/coffee is average.

Foodie L.

Yelp
Fell off. Found hair in my food. Reheated food taste, was not fresh. Some days it's great and other day not, inconsistent quality of food so it's a hit or miss.
google avatar

Yelp
This review is long overdue . Definitely missing home . Best pad Thai spot . The establishment itself is super small but that's ok came there for the food :) . Had the chicken pad Thai and it was so yummy , good amount of chicken and flavor . Cannot wait to stop back in best comfort food by far try the crab Rangoon too while you are there . Street parking only

Yelp
If you want to taste some good authentic thai then look no further! My hub and I have been going here for a year now and him even longer. This place reasonably priced and we have only had one bad meal in that time frame. Sometimes there is a miscommunication issue when it comes to asking for our meal to be spicy but hey it happens! We do dine in here from time to time but mainly do take out. When we do dine in, the service is very good along with the presentation. They dont have air conditioning so it if you want to get artistic then you can say that it makes you feel like youre right in thailand having a fresh meal HAHA. I alternate between the crystal noodles and the pad thai. The crystal noodles come with a variety of vegetables to which I am much too lazy too explain what goes in it. So look at my pic. Taste wise it doesnt taste bland at all and soaks up the flavor of the other vegetables verand meat very well. WIth the Pad thai it has that authentic sweet and nutty taste that pad thai is known to have. No bland or lack luster taste over here. Notced that it has gone under new management as of late and I was afraid that it might make the quality drop, But thankfully the quality in food has remained the same if not better. Give this place a taste if youre ever in the area, Im sure you wont be disappointed.
google avatar

Neal N.

Yelp
My friend lives a couple blocks here and loves getting food from here. Now I know why. I got the country pad thai with crispy chicken. And boy is that chicken crispy! I really appreciate the option. It's a good complement to the soft noodles. Often times, the meat would get lost in the dish. As for the country pad thai, it didn't look like much, but WOW did it pack some flavor. Nutty, sweet, salty and bit of vinegar really does stand out from the regular Pad Thai I usually have. I'm going to have to try and recreate this dish since it might be a while until I have it again. And the portion size. Impressive. If the food didn't taste so damn good, I wouldn't have been able to finish. I stuffed myself to the point of nearly passing out. Definitely try it if you get a chance.

Yelp
We ordered our first take-out in quite a while from Lemon Thai, it was well worth it! The yellow curry with chicken, volcano green beans with tofu and basil chicken were all hot and delicious when they arrived. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked. The yellow curry has lots of great flavor, so much so that I saved the remaining curry sauce to have with brown rice tomorrow. And even the rice was great - not always the case with brown rice from delivery.
google avatar

Kia A.

Yelp
I went here on Saturday April 27,2019 because I was in the area. I was excited to get their mango fried rice. Unfortunately, they gave me pineapple fried rice instead even though my order receipt said mango fried rice. I was disappointed, but I love pineapple fried rice so I figured it would be cool. Unfortunately, the dish sucked. They put pea pods, tomatoes, peas and carrots in this dish which I found bizarre. Especially since I've actually been to three regions of Thailand and are in each one- never did I get fried rice like that. It also was sad that the dish was so bland. The pineapple was good- but obviously not fresh more so from a can. I also got the Bangkok Golden which is basically crab Rangoon. These were really good! I really had a lot of hope for how good the food would taste here, but I was severely let down. Maybe it's me being a NYC girl (spoiled by the amazing Thai food we have there) but I've never had Thai food that was so blah before. I would never go here or recommend it to anyone. Also, the fact it was empty there and they got my order wrong is disappointing as well.
google avatar

Yelp
The Crispy chicken pad Thai has become a staple for work lunches on work from home days. I've also discovered that I'm a fan of their red curry and Panang curry. Both curries pack a slightly above benign heat - strong enough to feel like it's spicy and at a level that allows the food to still be tasty and enjoyable. There's good depth to the curries - nice blend of spices and level of saltiness for both. The crispy chicken is crunchy and awesome. Tom kha soup is flavorful and delicious too. Service is friendly and their delivery time is reasonable. Prices are standard. In person pickup is, of course, a shorter wait! Dining in is an option too although there are only about 4 tables. This spot is a great fixture in the neighborhood and definitely consistent in quality (at least that's my assessment of them for the past 5 months or so). Lastly, they are next door to other nearby quick eat restaurants including a spot where you can get cheap boba!! Worth the takeout (they'll punch holes in the cover for your crispy chicken - thanks for being mindful Lemon Thai!!). Yum and thank you.

Bridget W.

Yelp
The food is mediocre at best: the chicken is rubbery. Whatever you do, do not order the Wellesley fried rice; it is terrible! For the food being so expensive, the quality is upsetting.

Yelp
Great food and great service! These guys have been my go to throughout the pandemic. I loved all the inspirational messages they had on their windows. Made somerville feel all the more like a community.Fried Tofu

Yelp
Lemon Thai was the first restaurant I visited when I first moved to Somerville and I have a soft spot for it. It was in waking distance to my apartment so ordered often and was never disappointed. That being said, there are many Thai spots in the city to choose from and over the years I did. I can honesty say none were as fresh and delicious as Lemon. The prices are fair and their Pad Thai is one of the best I've had. Love live Lemon!

Smita I.

Yelp
Food tastes great ! The ordering experience is easy and the food arrived on time. heads up :) .. I forgot to mention that we need utensils so they did not pack in my takeout order

Yelp
Last March, I moved to a place a block down from Lemon Thai. For the first month, I couldn't eat there - I'd feel like I was cheating on Thai Gardens, my old lunch stomping ground in sunny F-L-A. After more than a few disappointing sandwich deliveries, I opted to give Lemon Thai's green curry a whirl. I say, I say, I say hot damn. For $9, you get a quart of the stuff - chock full of thick, tendercrisp veggies, hearty mushrooms and succulent chicken. The curry itself is killer with just the right heat and just the right sweet. Not heavy or slick and served with enough rice to make for a double-mealer, this order steals the show from other lackluster options (including the pad thai, sorry Kenny C. and Jamie A.!) Simple, no frills grub promptly delivered by some of the friendliest drivers in the 'Ville. Sugar and Spice can learn a thing or two from these cats...
