Google
First time visiting, and wow, what a pleasant surprise! The papaya prawn salad was excellent, and the shrimp and beef curry was absolutely heavenly! A must do. I totally recommend you try this quality Thai restaurant. They don't disappoint, and the service was outstanding.

Stopped by here while in Martinez for dinner. Our server was super friendly and service was fast. Relatively speaking, portion of the food was sufficient for the price and taste-wise, the food wasn't too bad or far from what other similar restaurants served.

Joseph Marsh

Google
Been visiting for years, and they continue to provide a quality, pleasant dining experience. Aside from the acoustics, there's really nothing at all to detract from anyone having an enjoyable time.

Just discovered this amazing spot and I'm already hooked! The noodle bowl and chicken skewers were phenomenal, and the service was outstanding. The town, Martinez, itself seems charming, and I can't wait to explore it more next time.

Google
Lemongrass Bistro is a fantastic place to eat. The staff made me feel welcome, even though I came in close to their after lunch closing time. At the time I had no idea, but was very thankful when they didn't rush me out once I did know. Definitely one of my favorite places for Thai food!

Google
We ate here for lunch today. Nice spot, good service, great tasting food. We had the Pad Thai (which was off the hook) and also ordered the Sweet Basil stir fry with shrimp. It was kinda spicy (says it on the menu) but the heat goes away pretty quick.

Google
Excellent! Must try this place. So usually im not surprised by restaurants locally.. But i must say i was very pleasantly surprised with how good everything tasted. Very flavorful. The drunken noodles were outstanding. The yellow curry was very flavorful as well.

Google
Staff is very friendly and personable. Rommel our waiter was very attentive, but not pressuring whatsoever. The red curry was great and with a little rice, completely filling.

Yelp
Came here for lunch while I had like an hour. Very clean restaurant with friendly staff. It's very spacious as well. I ordered just a lunch special of cashew nut chicken and it was very good. The spice level was exactly how I liked it. I would def come back here.

Yelp
We came here after reading the reviews. we were here for basketball and needed to grab dinner afterwards. Positive for vegans or vegetarians they give you the full menu and explain everything to you which has chicken broth or any oyster sauce. However, when we got our food, I wish they had more tofu noodles and rice instead of 60% vegetables . Kids are super hungry because they didn't get enough carbs and we end up going out for another meal.. 4 stars because the service is great and this is a clean place.

Yelp
Very nice Thai restaurant: Decor is elegant--like the Picasso style wall arts; Food is exquisitely delicious. Recommend coconut soup. We had it with choice of Tofu and veggies. Light and yummy! Especially like the Lemongrass in the soup. Pineapple fried rice is great with cashews and beef. Salad with grilled shrimp ($5 add-on) is a gem -- like the dressing. Although I do recommend just go with grilled shrimp salad on menu for $14.95? Instead we paid 17.95 for our salad with the add-on. Service is good. Waitress checks on us a couple of times to make sure we have everything we need.

Yelp
This is a cute and modern Thai restaurant in Martinez. There is metered parking nearby. The restaurant felt spacious with high ceilings and modern decor. The waiters were attentive and quick. The tables are spaced apart in a manner that felt comfortable. I tried eggplant with tofu and coconut soup with chicken. I also ordered a cup of brown rice. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too soggy. Every bite was filled with garlic and basil in a savory sauce that had the prefect blend of sweetness and salt. The soup was also fragrant with lemongrass and coconut it, and so flavorful. The brown rice was soft and easy to eat. The portions were generous. Such a wonderful experience and definitely a place I would revisit if I am ever in the area.

Yelp
Have been a patron of this restaurant for a while. I usually pick up lunch and am never disappointed. Friendly service

Yelp
Stopped for lunch today during trunk and treat. We were greeted quickly and seated promptly. After reviewing the menu we got the samosa, the vermicelli bowl with tofu and pad Thai with chicken. They were great and allowed me to make changes- no onions or peanuts. The food was good and arrived quickly. There were just a few flies that kept bugging us. Overall, good food.

Olga R.

Yelp
If you like Thai food, you have to try this one! I had been coming here for a while now , but since the pandemic I haven't had their food and forgot how good it was. The restaurant is always clean, the customer service is great, they know all their customers, and seem happy to see them , as when you run into a friend on the street! The parking is on the streets, there's meters but I believe free on the weekends. They have a huge variety of dishes to chose from is overwhelming and everything is good.

Yelp
Ordered takeout from lemongrass bistro in order to try all the thai places in downtown martinez. Have been craving yellow curry lately. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken during lunch time but just the entree with no rice. The curry itself was decently flavorful (much better the 2nd day honestly as i only ate half the first day) but personal preference is I didn't enjoy the bell pepper in it. The side of pickled cucumbers that came with it was amazing. So fresh and still had the right amount of crunch. Ate every bite of this the first day I want to say this came in a tall quart sized container and for a good price of $12 and change.

Yelp
Round 2 review for my third visit. Right when I walked in I was greeted warmly, offered a seat and a beverage and felt welcomed. When it comes to the staff I've got nothing but compliments, keep hiring fun and lively folks. FOH saved the BOH for 3 of 5 stars. But now it's time for BOH to step it up. Once again I'm super disappointed in the lack of effort put into the vegetables added into every dish. Full, half, and or barely prepared vegetables and thin sauces makes these dishes more of a Pinterest recipe rather than a dining experience. Martinez is up and coming, and you will need to up your game to stay competitive with the newer generation of residents. I'm less likely to recommend or come back, I hope the menu and quality can improve.

Yelp
What a Gem of a restaurant located in the heart of Martinez! Thai food was calling my name. While visiting, my family & I decided to visit Lemon Grass. We ordered the Pad thai, drunken noodles & Thai fried rice. It was all super fesh, delicious & the portions were quite large. Our only complaint was that the service was very slow. When we were ready to go, no one would bring us the bill. I retrieved my own to go boxes & we practically begged to pay. Maybe it was just an off day. However, the food was delicious & worth it!

Jacob L.

Yelp
Great food, ambience is nice as well, definitely a place to go to either for date night or with friends. But cuisine is the he centerpiece / great flavors and dishes to come back and try again

Cynthia B.

Yelp
I have heard that this restaurant was yummy and I've been wanting to go there for awhile. Well yesterday was finally the day! I went here for my first time. I went in the afternoon. The front door was open and a sign was out front but the sign on the door said Closed so I wasn't sure if they were open or not. I stepped inside and the waitperson motioned for me to choose a table so I did. I like the menu a lot, it was organized and simple. Some menus are huge and overwhelming, not this one. Thumbs up! I ordered a Singha beer which a great beer and thanks to the waiter Zack's suggestion I got the avocado roll from the Starter section of the menu. It was delicious! For my main dish I got the lemongrass dish that came with rice. I decided to get brown rice and for my protein choice I went with tofu. The tofu had a yellow curry flavor and it was delicious. I do wish that there was more lemongrass as I was hoping for big pieces of lemongrass. But it was super delicious and satisfying and the portion size was great. I went on a weekday and there was parking out front, no issues finding a spot. I like the high ceilings in the restaurant that gave it an open feeling. As I was leaving they were ending dining room lunch service at 2:30 and had turn away a group that wanted to eat. So keep that in mind if you want to visit. So in conclusion I would definitely go back. I really enjoyed the flavor. Staff was nice. I would give an honest 4.5 stars. Since Yelp doesn't allow half stars I will round up to 5.

Aliyah H.

Yelp
This was a local favorite for me years ago, pre-Covid, and it still is! Best Thai food around. Fresh ingredients, very vegetable heavy (big chunks of avocado, mushrooms, etc.), and great taste! They also are very allergy-friendly! We came here with someone who had a shellfish allergy and they were able to switch the sauce to a vegan version that was seafood-free! Friendly, courteous, and appreciative staff! Love this place!

Sandy C.

Yelp
I cannot believe it took us living in Martinez 3 years to try this place. The food is so delicious!! We are thrilled to have a spot like this near our home. Service is wonderful too. The interior is just ok. I do feel they could put a little more effort into the decor/tables to make it feel a little more cozy, or upscale but overall the food is fantastic. We love this place!

Young B.

Yelp
Great food and fast service! I am serving just duty and we get ample time for lunch so I found this place on Yelp to try. I ordered the Sweet Basil, but asked for no onions, soft instead of fried tofu, and no sweet/sugar. They were not annoyed with my annoying order at all. Very good and medium spicy was plenty spice for me. Yummy brown rice. I highly recommend.

Esmeralda V.

Yelp
3 stars because I absolutely love this place! I always order takeout because I live right down the street. Had to take away two starts due to the fact in the passes two years I've lived here NOT once has anyone taken my order in a friendly manner. It's always a guy & they are always rude & clearly hate their job. I'm quite tired of calling & getting a rude ass worker. It's Tuesday I called around 5:20. Check the time clocks & check that person their attitude got old a long time ago ..

Julie Z.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. Each dish had their own unique flavor. The Chicken Wings, with sweet chili sauce, was my favorite! I was blown away by the quality and flavor. We ordered a bunch of plates and shared them with family. Everyone at my table could not stop talking about the great food, exceptional service with no wait time! I Rate this Bistro 5 Stars, and proud to highly recommend Lemongrass Bistro. The food is very good. Thank You, very much:)

Dolly F.

Yelp
Love this restaurant! Great food, generous portions and friendly staff. Save room for dessert!

jay z.

Yelp
It was okay. Nothing bad per se, but not much great to recommend it. The atmosphere of the place is simple, more cafeteria than comfortable, service a bit awkward in timing and communication. Food was neither good nor bad - I was with a foodie friend who adores Thai so I was hoping for a bit better, but the curry dishes we had were... fine. Pretty good, I guess, but not better than the little town across a bridge where I live.

Aaron L.

Yelp
Great tasting flavorful food. Excellent service. Quiet ambiance. Subtle jazz music playing. Thai iced tea & papaya salad delicious! Its very nice. Ill return.

Gary T.

Yelp
Not my cup of tea, I've tried different dishes and wasn't impressed but I know a lot of people like this establishment

Melanie M.

Yelp
Food is always delicious!! Service is quick! Waters are always full which is one of my favs!! The venue is always clean with a good amount of people!! One of my husbands favorite Thai restaurants for sure!! I really enjoyed my curry chicken with rice! He loves his eggplant and tofu with rice!

Slava C.

Yelp
Surprisingly good stuff for the price versus money vs service vs interior. Was pleased with all excluding the cleanliness of the tables and the highchair. Excellent service by Zachary P. - THANK YOU!!! Pleasant and spiritual wall arts. Excellent food where I can highly recommend the Sampler Platter and Pad Thai. Great find and definitely will be back for more.

Kim O.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this spot while going for a walk in Martinez. It is located right in the heart of downtown Martinez. They are serving up some delicious & authentic Thai & Laotian cuisine! For our starter, we enjoyed the Sampler Platter with grilled chicken skewers, avocado rolls, crispy shrimp rolls, & petite lumpia rolls. For our entrees, I ordered the Vermicelli Noodle Bowl with chicken, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, mint leaves, cilantro, onions & bean sprouts. It was so tasty & the vermicelli noodles were perfection. It is served with a side of sweet & spicy sauce & crushed peanuts. We also ordered the Garlic Noddles with Prawns which has cilantro, garlic, shrimp paste & butter topped with their signature prawns. It was so good! The service was okay and the ambience was relaxed. It started to get busy around 6PM and they had a lot of takeout orders! A must try in downtown Martinez!

Emily A.

Yelp
We like the yellow curry and cucumber salad from here. It's a nice little restaurant in downtown Martinez. Service was great and staff was friendly. I would eat here again.

Monique R.

Yelp
Pad Thai is on point! Samosas are delicious. I also appreciate the fast friendly service.

Christina P.

Yelp
Fantastic service, excellent fresh food. You can have your pick of flavor with this awesome Asian fusion spot. My go to is the garlic noodles with shrimp and the chicken wings appetizer! Both are excellent and they do not skimp on the any sauce! The coconut soup is excellent. The chicken satay is my kids kids' favorite. I can honestly say that this one restaurant that I can think of off the top of my head, where I have not tried anything that didn't taste good. Excellent Thai iced teas if you like those also. Run here!

Martine A.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. The best pad Thai, lemon grass rice. Wish they were open on Sundays.

Dana S.

Yelp
Their Pad Thai is my favorite. The servers are very attentive and kind. Even when I'm just in for pickup, they offer water and a seat at the bar while I wait for the food. Very pleasant ambiance as well.

Lauren T.

Yelp
Our favorite Thai food place! The food is always good and the service is so friendly. Drunken noodles is my go to dish! Love this restaurant.

Brandy B.

Yelp
Hubby and I came here with our pre-toddler. We started with the samosas that our toddler LOVED (as did we). Hubs ordered the pad Thai. I had the drunken noodles. This has been our favorite place for Thai in all of the east bay! To top it all off, the service was exceptional and we were offered avocado for the baby - as our waitress noticed our struggle with what to offer her. BUT best news - any leftovers will fulfill all your hopes and dreams the next day!

Mariah H.

Yelp
Great place to have lunch with a friend. I first visited this place years ago and let me tell you, the quality has stayed consistent. The food is very fresh and the portions are large. I always leave with a to-go package which tastes even better the next day!

Brooke P.

Yelp
The food here is amazing!! I have not ever been here till the last year and was new to trying Thai, I love the food and staff is friendly. The price is higher than usual but the economy is in down wind and I understand. The dishes are like family style which I enjoy. I usually go with a group of people 2-3 and try new things. Every time I go we love to try a new dish or appetizer. My favorite dish so far is the Drunken noodles with vegetables and The Shrimp garlic pasta. If you are looking for Thai food and are new to trying Thai, I would say give this place a try. I recommend going in a group setting that way you can order multiple dishes and the price doesn't seem so high. The food is delicious and fresh. I always see the staff and they are great chefs! The wait time is 0-5 minutes.

Afik S.

Yelp
Got lunch here food was good although I asked for a medium spicy and the food was way too hot. The 2 starts is for the service I received, very unfriendly and disrespectful. Although food is decent and tasty I will not be back here .

Tommyboy B.

Yelp
Ir has been quite a while since I had lunch here and remember the food, service, and ambience as being pretty average overall and definitely not a destination restaurant. Parking is pretty good as the food scene in Martinez is still lacking, though moving in the right direction.

Becky M.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Loved the modern vibe. Will be coming back for more!

Arizza L.

Yelp
Came here during lunch with my nursing friends and they did nottt disappoint! My Pad Thai was pretty good. I even got stains on my white scrubs LOL. 9/10 The Grilled Beef plate was the star of the show though. 10/10. Really enjoyed the cilantro lime sauce Service: Started to get really busy during lunch time. We came right before the lunch rush. But we notified the server that we had to get going because we were going to be late and he took care of us pretty efficiently.

Ricardo A.

Yelp
Little gem in a surprising Martinez downtown full of life, restaurants and live music ( my first time) . Friendly service. Food came fast even the place was full. We went for the curries: yellow with chicken and red with meat. Also samosas for appetizers. All great tasting, right spice levels and temperature. Will visit again next time in town.

Christine S.

Yelp
The food and service is excellent. They have vibrant art on the walls and jazz music playing for the perfect ambiance. It's also family owned; these folks are absolutely sweet and kind. And it's clean and bright and spacious. A must if you like Thai food and a close-knit community

Camille D.

Yelp
Food is not amazing, but still good if you're looking for a Thai fix. The customer service is great, they just seem to need help when they're busy, but overall 4 stars.

Rocky Mark J.

Yelp
Great ambiance, really cool paintings on the wall. It's spacious so socially distancing is enforced. They also have outdoor seatings. The location is in the edge of downtown Martinez so you may not stumble upon it when exploring unless you've specifically searched for a Thai place. We had the platter as an appetizer, very tasty - however the Satay could use improvement, but could be just the batch we got. Penang Curry is tasty and great spices, really enjoyed the eggplants in the dish. I ventured to something new and I had the Vermicelli Bowl - it was cold noodles, and not one with warm soup like a pho. Will most likely return, I read good reviews in the Drunken Noodles and their fried rice so I want to give those a try.

Lady J.

Yelp
Love the eggplant dish. Has a bit of spice very flavorful and savory. The chicken and veggies are also good that's all I have tasted but would recommend

Scott J.

Yelp
Nice and clean atmosphere. Solid menu options and I went with Drunken noodles with beef. Super fresh and tasty with just the right amount of spice ( I like spice but not if it overpowers the food). The ladies helping us were friendly and attentive. Great place.

Chelly C.

Yelp
Been craving Thai food after moving on this side of the bay. Thought I'd give this place a try since it had such good reviews. We ordered the avocado rolls, drunken noodles with beef and yellow curry with chicken. First off, the avocado rolls were ehh. It was just a regular spring roll with avocado. I would say the one thing that saved the appetizer was the peanut sauce. As for the Drunken noodle, it was more sweet than spicy. I was expecting more of a spicy kick but left my taste buds with more of a sweet and tangy taste. Definitely did not taste like other drunken noodles I've had before. And their yellow curry was decent. Overall, restaurant was nice and spacious. I can see why people go here for their lunch break but it didn't taste like the authentic Thai food I've had in San Francisco.

Mary A.

Yelp
Great food, great ambiance, and great service! Personal favorites are the chili wings and garlic noodles with shrimp.

Steve L.

Yelp
This was one of my regular lunch spots when I worked in Martinez years ago. They still provide a fantastic menu with delicious food. I really enjoy the curries, and soups. They have a nice selection of appetizers, a vast selection of entrees with plenty of choices for the vegetarian as well. Good choices of tea and cold drinks. Small beer menu, but good choices. The help is always nice and prompt, and they are offering limited in door seating now too. I'll be back

Hassey R.

Yelp
A definite favorite in Martinez. Their drunken noodles and avocado rolls were divine! Everything there is quite delicious and highly recommended. And it's in a perfect location to check out other wonderful stores in downtown Martinez. Do check their hours as they close at 2:30 before opening for dinner rush. You may feel a bit rushed if you arrive at 2pm.

Eric H.

Yelp
Lemongrass never disappoints! The Chicken Wings are the best in town! The curry's are all delicious and the Pad Thai is always on point.

Lucia S.

Yelp
Highly Recommend for their tasty food and simple, clean table style. On a lunch date, plenty of seating filled quickly. The service was lack luster but possibly more of a language barrier issue than anything. I would definitely go back for any of their delicious, healthy options of dishes, Yum!

marty a.

Yelp
What a great spot! Came to Martinez to go to a Bar & Grill that my wife ate at during jury duty. Walked past this place and looked at the menu in the window, thought let's try here! So glad we did! Started with the appetizer sampler, was good! I had the red curry stir fry with pork, very good! The veggies in it were definitely fresh. My wife had the garlic noodles with prawns, she enjoyed it, couldn't finish it, but enjoyed it.
