Great local breakfast spot! This particular Saturday was especially crowded and loud as they had a balloon artist on site and it seemed like fun for a lot of patrons. The featured specials all sounded great, the Wellington (pictured under the giant pile of gravy) was absolutely decadent and very generously portioned. Excellent and fast service, always a go-to in the area!

I loved Lenny’s! Yesterday was my first time and I enjoyed a bowl of Matzo Ball soup which I was craving. I’ll be going back to try more of their large and varied menu.

Google
Lenny’s such a great Jewish deli! A menu packed full of everything you want from a deli, the pickles and beets were delicious. The garden omelette and house potatoes were well flavored and the omelette was full of fresh veggies. The garden salad with chicken breast was ok, a little underwhelming with just iceberg lettuce as opposed to a heartier mixed blend of greens. But the portion was large and the freshness was on point, and the chicken was well seasoned. The atmosphere is everything, lots of fun quotes on the ceiling tiles and fun memorabilia all around the place, keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel so you don’t miss all the fun!! Overall a solid meal, great portions, loved the free pastry basket. We’ll definitely stop by again on our next vacation. Thank you!

All the years I've been coming to this beach city and I never ate here. Well THAT stops form now on! A had a HUGE delicious breakfast and added to their already generous portions was a basket of sweet goodness! OMG, the service, atmosphere, reasonable pricing and THE FOOD - Excellent. Before the beach stock up, get take out or relax in the well worn environment of a true gem of Clearwater.

Very welcoming to the family as well arrived and throughout. Wonderful omelettes and French toast were great. We enjoyed the complimentary pastries, potatoes with onions and fruit as well. I could spend all day looking and reading evening inside.

Still the same great place I remember!! Diego was our server highly recommend him, he was so great!! We devoured the pumpkin pancakes, crab Benedict, delicious biscuits and home fries with onions. Bloody Mary & OJ- try their hot sauce too!

Google
They seasonally decorate their fun windows. Occasionally on busy weekends a balloon artist walks around the tables. The food is unique. Their nice, generous “famous complementary danish basket” holds a variety of pretty, unique sweet breads. They are so nice to make filling ham and cheese grits. I enjoy their hearty, yummy chicken waffle Benedict. “Bubbie’s homemade potato pancakes” latkes are a simply good sharable. 🥐 🧀 🍳 🥔 🌽 🐥 🐷 🍎 🧇

I’ve been to Lenny’s a few times through the years. They always are very friendly and have great service! Today, Chloe was my server and did an absolutely excellent job with everything!! The inside of the restaurant is interesting to look at with all the decor from floor to ceiling. They gave complimentary pastries in a little basket which was special. Food came out hot and looked great!! Flavor was very good as well!! I had the “Dan’s Famous Gator Omelette with grits & home-fried potatoes. The hollandaise sauce was a nice addition to my omelette as well!! Definitely recommend dining here, as it’s one of Pinellas County’s long established restaurants popular with locals and tourists alike!!!

Yelp
Our server was Diego, he was super nice! our food was delivered fast even with the crowd 10/10 would (and will) eat here again

Yelp
Our go to place, especially for breakfast and we love to take our company here as well when they are visiting. Atmosphere is fun, staff is amazing and great food options.

Yelp
SOLID 5 STARS All-Star Yelp Elite Dave W chose Lenny's for our outing this week. Lenny's is not just a restaurant, it is an experience. Everywhere you look there is something interesting to see. From the numerous signs on the walls and ceiling, to the decorated windows, I guarantee you will not be bored. Great atmosphere means nothing without good food. I rate all diner type establishments by their hash browns and bacon. Lenny's serves home fries, which qualifies. The potatoes are nicely browned and have NO grease. The bacon is perfect. Crunchy without being chewy, and NO grease. I ordered the Portobello Benedict ($14.99) and a side of bacon ($4.99). My breakfast came with a complimentary basket of danish pastry. Dave W tells me the pastry is a Lenny's trademark tradition. The portobello was fantastic! Lots of mushrooms with a tasty hollandaise sauce. Total bill of $25 (including generous tip for our waitress Tara). I'll be back with friends! Good choice Dave W!

Yelp
We were visiting my folks in St. Petersburg, looking for a good diner, and did Lenny's restaurant ever hit it out of the park! First off the coffee is amazing, second the restaurant is a beautiful eclectic celebration of quirkiness, our waitress knew the menu inside and out was quick on the refills, and overall just spectacular! Let's go to the food, look at the pictures we all had a different version of the hearty breakfast. My son had pancakes and an omelette, I had the country fried steak, breakfast potatoes with onions, and eggs over easy. I love a good country fried steak with sausage gravy and this was one of the best I've had! Sorry, no pictures but my wife had eggs, bacon and hashbrowns and so did my daughter. They both love them. The danish basket is amazing! What a wonderful and amazing treat to have dropped off before your food arrives. There were so many good things on the menu. We can't wait for the next trip to try even more!

Yelp
This place was so fun!! This is our first trip here, we all ordered something different, spaghetti, French toast and corned beef hash. It was all delicious and amazing! Our server, Scott, was super helpful and efficient. The restaurant is really casual, lots of cute decorations and really cute shirts you can purchase, which we did!! We will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Whenever I am in the Clearwater area, I have breakfast at Lenny's. They have signs that say best breakfast and they back it up. Love their eggs, fresh bagels, homemade potatoes, and tasty bacon. Also love getting their pastry basket at beginning of meal. If you love good breakfast, you need to try this place. Also, interior has lots of fun signs on ceiling. Fun, tasty breakfast place.

Yelp
Our waiter, Loraine, was super sweet, patient and kind. It was my first time here. I was craving steak and eggs, but sadly, they do not have it. I instead special ordered an omelette with spinach, avocado, feta cheese and red onion. Yummy!! The vibe in here is upbeat and cheery! This is definitely a local spot that you must check out. Way better than Bob Evans or Speggtacular.

Yelp
My Wife, Son, and myself discovered this little Gem after; living here for almost two years and we try to make sure we come here for Brunch every Saturday. The food is great! Service is friendly and fast. I love going to non-chain restaurants and this one goes TOP on my list for brunch! I had a Meat Lovers Omelette that comes with (4) Silver Dollar Pancakes an every breakfast meal comes with a complimentary Pastry Basket.I like to sleep in on Saturdays but, I do want to try their lunch. The food coming out that kitchen for lunch looked really good.

Yelp
Very fun ambiance, old school diner vibes. Not a ton of vegetarian options other than really a grilled cheese and egg salad sandwich. They were good and the potato salad& latkes are phenomenal. I'd definitely order the latkes again.

Monica D.

Yelp
Just had a delicious CornedBeef & Swiss on rye. Deigo was amazing server. My chicken noodle soup was also delicious. I did sit directly across from A/C vent so I was a little chilly

Yelp
Awesome place. 30+ years of great service. Good food & location. Great hash browns & breakfast options. Classic. Very grateful

Yelp
Took me way too long living in the area to finally try Lenny's! Gives off a friendly, local NYC/philly diner vibe with cozy service making you feel right at home. Coffee was average/above-average and my server Loraine never let the mug go empty. Tried a chef special chalkboard menu item, the cinnamon roll French toast. Unique and tasty, not too sweet. Side of sausage links were good, sort of your standard diner sausage. The whole time was thinking I can't wait to come back a few more times while I live here to try more things on the menu!

Yelp
Omg this place is amazing! The potato pancakes were delicious for our appetizer. My wife had the gator omelette & ofcourse she loved it,lol I tried it too. I had pastrami Ruben & it was yummy, The orders are huge & we took half of our meals home aka hotel next door. Definitely worth going here.

Yelp
Stepping into Lenny's is like stepping back in time. I have only gone here for breakfast but they certainly do it well. Portions are large, service is great and food is dependably good. They bring out a basket of pastries to start you off. That usually results in me not being able to finish my entree. Parking can be challenging, especially on the weekends. There is often a good wait then, too. I try to hit it on week days for those reasons.

Yelp
10 Stars to The manager getting me at the counter fast for brunch. I called ahead from Tampa and asked if they were super busy, they said we'll get you in fast at the counter. Well Thanks for getting me in fast. Had the matzo brie, potato pancake, and a pastry basket to go. Absolutely fantastic. Everything was delicious. Also. Lorraine was my server and was extremely happy, friendly, and a pleasure dealing with. Thank you Lenny's for a wonderful experience. So looking forward to coming back

Yelp
Food was mediocre af best. Standard diner fair of eggs, bacon, pancakes etc but pricier. Service was good.

Yelp
I have no idea what happened to the pics I took, but go here! Stop waiting! The food came out so quickly and was absolutely delicious!! Also, the best rye bread I've ever had and made the perfect toast! Not only was the food amazing but the service was top notch. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and worked well together, it was such a fun experience. You do get a danish basket with each meal, and if you don't finish it they let you take it with you. Ours included quite a variety of mixed breads, rolls and actual danish. Then you get your hefty breakfast (highly recommend the fire potatoes); only to leave fat and happy :) we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast and had an amazing experience! Lenny's has a small diner feel with decades of experience. Everything from the coffee and danishes to the meals were absolutely delicious. I will be coming back for a knish before my trip is over. The staff was pleasant, welcoming, and a wealth of knowledge. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
I've been out and about and needed some nourishment and I've been supporting locals instead of corporate chains as much as possible. Decided today it would be Lenny's, and I noted how busy they were, normally a good sign. After going back and forth with the numerous menu options I decided on the Avocado Toast with 2 eggs (I had asked for scrambled, but received sunny side up, but to me eggs are eggs and mistakes happen, they were delicious), and home made fries. I received a Danish Basket for my sweet tooth, and very good! The Avocado topping was fresh but could have used seasoning. I did see a few 'Everything Bagel Seasoning' Seeds. I needed to add salt and pepper to give it taste and the toast was mushy, didn't get toasted enough or even toasted. The home made fries tasted delicious, but were greasy (literally oil on the plate). The overall opinion of my food was that it was average and definitely could have been knocked out of the park if the cook paid attention and took their time to ensure quality. I won't have the avocado toast again, and I'm hoping next time the home-Fries are less greasy. I enjoyed the old diner experience and service was prompt and friendly. My waitress was busy serving tables and taking phone orders and kept up with her in-house customers needs. I saw several guests enjoying their meals and leaving nothing on their plates. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal was average and I feel just a bad day or rushed. I will need to return, as I believe in second chances and with so many positive reviews there has to be something special about this restaurant other than the Danish Basket. http://lennysclearwater.com/menu/full-menu/

Yelp
**** Review 145 **** I ran into this place while waiting for Costco to open. This was a great breakfast diner, the staff was friendly and corky. I love that you get a complementary danish basket. Their breakfast menu is large and so far, very delicious. The prices were reasonable, the food was very delicious and super filling. If you're looking for a great and fast breakfast place, then this spot is for you!

Yelp
Having seen good reviews, I tried Lenny's twice during a recent visit to the area. If I lived in the area, it would probably be in my rotation of restaurants. On both visits, both the parking lot and restaurant were packed. It seems to be the norm, as the friendly staff did not seem fazed by the throngs of customers. On both visits, my party and I experienced great service. Don't worry that someone in your party won't find something to their liking. The menu is as packed with choices as their dining room is packed with patrons. On both visits, I found it difficult to choose my meal, as everything sounds good. On my first visit, I picked an omelette with American fries and a side of tomato slices. The eggs were good, not remarkable. The hollandaise sauce was without real flavor. The fried potatoes were good. What blew me and my dining partners away was the individual baskets of pastries. The bottomless coffee and the pastry basket alone would have been filling; I didn't really need to eat the rest of the day. On my second visit, I noticed all of the memorabilia on the walls. When a place is good and has been around for a long time, it has a chance to have been visited by many interesting people. My second meal was the Reuben sandwich. If for no other reason, I'd return for another sandwich! The meat was piled high and the rest of the sandwich exemplified everything I want when I order a Reuben. My mouth waters as I think of it. If you want breakfast or lunch, don't be leery of giving Lenny's a visit.

Yelp
This was our first time and it was fantastic. Friendly staff made seating and ordering easy. The layout is open. Lots of groups talking and obviously having a good time. The drop tile ceiling and partial walls make sure it is not just crazy loud. That is big for me as I am partially deaf The food was great. Biscuits and Sausage gravy, eggs, and potato pancakes for me. BLT benny for my wife. Nice portions without being stupidly large. So much better than your average dinner food. I really really enjoyed his place. I already know I will be back.

Yelp
Quite the memorable experience at this local institution. This bustling spot does classic American diner breakfast and Jewish deli staples under a festive atmosphere that even includes a balloon artist to entertain the kids on the weekends. Walls feature caricatures, photos of famous diners, and Phillies fan gear. The portobello mushroom Benedict and BLT Benedict had perfectly cooked eggs and toasted English muffins. The complimentary Danish basket was a nice touch. This spot is perfect for families to grab breakfast but I can imagine it can get quite busy on weekends. Luckily the food comes out pretty quick so the tables turn at a reasonable rate. They do have a parking lot but it was pretty full. We were warned not to park by the motel building next to the restaurant. Definitely worth a stop to experience this unique American diner.

Yelp
Lenny's has been a popular local destination place for breakfast and lunch for many years! It was a staple on my list when I lived closer and went to Clearwater more frequently. If you like retro style diners, you'll be happy that you discovered this place....great food, experienced & cordial service is the norm. My only gripe is the small parking lot - this place is always busy and often has a waiting line. Nothing I read in the current comments indicates a change of policy or service. I'm planning to go back there soon and will judge for myself! I'm not expecting any surprises and look forward to another great meal- will update when I know.

Elbridge B.

Yelp
Just another reason to head to Lenny's. Their daily lunch specials are best of the bay. Thursday's fried chicken is even better.
google avatar

Joan G.

Yelp
By far the best part of coming here is the atmosphere. It feels like you are stepping back in time. The servers are stern in a friendly northeastern kind of way. The decor looks like it hasn't been altered in 25 years. Yet the place is clean. There is usually a wait, however it moves quickly. The best food item is the pastry basket that comes free with many of the selections. Your best bet is to go with one of the Benedicts. You can't go wrong. Come with an empty stomach because you are going to going to leave full and your wallet won't be empty.

Yelp
We absolutely loved the food and service here! It was delicious and such a great deal. Get the pastries!! The servers are friendly and the booths are cozy.

Matthew F.

Yelp
We had a great brunch here. The free basket of Danishes was a real treat. Our waitress, Michelle, was amazing. Even though she was waiting on the bar and several tables, our coffee cups were never empty and she talked to us like we were old friends. All the food was great, as well.
google avatar

Yelp
We came in on a tuesday around 10:30am and were seated immediately. Our drinks and food were brought out super quickly after we ordered. The danish basket was a nice touch with a handful of tasty different goodies. And the 4 pancakes that came with the hearty breakfast were such a decent size, they could be a meal on their own! Everything was great, and you really can't go wrong. We also appreciated the combination of their Phillies and eclectic decor!

Yelp
If I could give this diner, 10 stars, I would. The people who work there are extremely friendly and helpful! Make sure to call ahead and add your name to the waitlist. The food is incredible! I loved all of the complimentary pastries but my favorite was the banana bread. I ordered the omelette with pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and very flavorful. The winner was my husbands meal. Make sure to order the Redneck Benedict with onion home fries. I'm still dreaming about this breakfast and can't wait to go back!

John D.

Yelp
Food is good. I try something new that egg Benedict BLT is really good and the server was a side of sweets. Really good. I highly recommend it.

Tammy D.

Yelp
Very friendly place with a lot of ambience. A big menu with many choices and daily specials. They make bakery items that are served with many menu options. They make their bagels too. I had an omelet with home potatoes and a side of fruit. The potatoes were very greasy. The pancakes were big and tasty.

Yelp
If you're in Clearwater, you've got to go to Lenny's. We stayed in a Marriott hotel two doors down from Lenny's, he claims to be the best breakfast in town and I think I highly agree. We stumbled into Lennys on a Sunday morning at about 830 and the place was packed. We did manage to get a table. Everything about this place is fun. There are pictures of cartoon characters of Lenny, doing all kinds of things. The servers are very unique individuals and very professional and the food was just outstanding. Make sure when you're there that you order the pastry basket. It's a sampling of a whole bunch of sweet goodies to eat and they are delicious. All of our meals were perfect and our server was a blast. I wish it were down the street from my house instead of across the state, I'd come a lot more often.

Patricia H.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch!! I ordered a swiss melt , rare, and it was served by Diego , just the way I wanted it!! It was delicious!! I will return. Diego was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was a familiar deli style.

Yelp
The best I've ever had! All the breakfast items are great! Open on Mondays again as well

Yelp
Nice homey joint to grab a bite to eat. Breakfast is mobbed especially during spring training but lunch was relatively empty and the sandwich was tasty.

Yelp
Love me some Lenny's. This was my first deli in the Tampa Bay / St. Pete area and it was all that and a bag of chips. First off if you are a Philadelphia Phillies fan this is the place for you. I spoke with one of the waitresses who said the owner are from New Jersey and that the Clearwater Threshers (the Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Phillies). I had to go with the classic "The New York" - lox and a toasted sesame seed bagel - with the usual suspects - cream cheese, red onion, tomato and capers. It was divine. But wait there's more! It comes with an assortment of danish type delight bites.(I took them home to nosh). The service was down right what I would want at a deli and the atmosphere had just the right amount of kitsch (and Philly decor to boot!). I'll be making my way back for a schmear! p.s. - They also have options for the "Very Young at Heart" saying: 55 & Older (7 forms of picture I.D. required). What a hoot!

Yelp
We happened to be in the area and needed a place to grab breakfast. We drove by Lenny's and thought it looked like a promising breakfast spot because the parking lot was full. It could not hurt to try. The menu is HUGE. So many choices. While we perused the menu, our server was quick to bring us coffee and a basket of complimentary danishes and quick breads. I had never been to a restaurant that offered that AND each person got their own basket of goodies! I got one of their Outrageous Omelettes and my husband got the Corned Beef Hash. There was so much food. We barely made a dent in our plates and ended up taking food home. When we are back in the area, we will definitely return to Lenny's!
google avatar

Yelp
The hostess was so nice and so was the server Diego!! The restaurant is so cool. It has tons of things on the walls to look at, the food was great and very reasonably priced.

Yelp
Michelle was the best ! Food amazing as usual A bit of a wait but once we were in it was awesome
google avatar

Yelp
Diners are one of the things I miss most about living in Jersey and Long Island. I love the idea of Lenny's more than the long wait and lack of parking -- tip, shoot for 1:30 or 2 when visiting on weekends. The crowd isn't as bad during their last hour of operation. I've only ordered omelettes, but I finally got a matzo ball soup to go and it was delicious. Service is hit or miss like with every restaurant. Lenny's is just a local dinner you need to experience if you live in the Clearwater area.

Yelp
You get the chance to step back in time to a neat-o diner. Not only was the service (Chloe) amazing, but the food was exquisite. 10/10

Yelp
What a great place to eat. close to a lot of hotels and the service is spectacular. #1 for sure. got to go. biscuits and pancakes are to die for.

Yelp
We were really looking forward to our visit. Especially being Pride week in this area. We have a service animal- walked in with love is live all over the outside, so beautiful. We came in because our girls were excited for the a fun energy. When we walked in he said no pets- i shared he was a service animal and he said only seeing eye dogs. The owner discriminated against us and made me feel extremely uncomfortable until my husband intervened. Ruined the entire vibe and my morning. We left because at this point we werent sure what he was really against.... We will celebrate pride with people who truly embody- love is love!!

Michael R.

Yelp
I visited Lenny's for the first time after hearing great things from friends and was eager to finally experience it for myself. Unfortunately, the visit did not live up to the hype. I ordered an omelet with cheese and sausage, which came with a Danish tray and two sides. The waitress assisted me in adjusting my order to include hashbrowns and a waffle substitution. I will say the Danish tray was a nice touch, and the waffle was well-prepared. However, the omelet was a disappointment--it contained only a tiny lump of cheese, no bigger than a marble, and a couple of pieces of sliced sausage links. I even showed the waitress how little cheese was in it. She offered to have someone speak with me but ultimately, she went and confirmed that the kitchen uses 2 ounces of cheese per omelet, suggesting mine must have melted out--meaning there was no real resolution. Beyond the food quality, I noticed bottles of hot sauce for sale featuring the First Felon pictured on the label. While businesses are free to express their views, I personally prefer not to support establishments that align with fringe political movements. Coincidentally, there was an extra $0.50 per egg surcharge at the time which was hilarious to me considering business' support of the Orange Felon. Between the lackluster food, the indifferent service, and the establishment's apparent political leanings, I won't be returning.

Mark L.

Yelp
Fantastic food with everything tasting fantastic. Would recommend for a big breakfast every time

Yelp
Honestly, everything I've tried here has been excellent. My mom loved their Biscuits and gravy. The staff is all friendly and nice. Would definitely recommend them!

Yelp
Great food, family friendly, the pastries are amazing and are complementary with your meal. Will be returning for more yummy food.
