10 No-Reservation-Required Spots in the West Valley | Eater

"The weekend brunch at this Woodland Hills standout may be the best argument for staying in on a Friday or Saturday night; You’ll want to wake up early to get here both to beat the rush and to spend more time savoring new takes on favorites like the portobello benedict or the cinnamon roll pancakes. But the lunch menu also makes L&L a fun choice for a weekday break or meeting spot, with a wide variety of Mediterranean-inspired salads and sandwiches — including an excellent turkey burger." - Vox Creative

Leo & Lily in Woodland Hills offers a truly lovely atmosphere – it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the ambiance. Our server was also very kind, which we appreciated. However, we found the service a bit lacking, as our server didn't check on us much during the meal. More significantly, the food felt overpriced for the quality and portion size. Specifically, my sandwich was quite disappointing; there was hardly any chicken or ricotta, which for the price, definitely should have been more substantial. Given these points, would I go back? Probably not.

Google
Nice casual resturant. We ate outside, and it was comfortable with an area heater. I ordered the steak sandwich. Very tasty and I would order it again.

Google
Delicious food, fast and friendly service. Valet parking only $7. Recommend outside dining when weather is nice.

We went to celebrate a birthday. The location is very cute. The food was good and delicious but unfortunately one of the waitresses gave us a not so pleasant attitude when we first arrived and as we were waiting to be seated. During our meal, we had a different waitress who was really nice.

Azucena Cabrera

Google
Good quality food. The serving size is very decent. My potatoes were a bit too oily and over seasoned for my liking but outside of that the service and ambiance was great. They are dog friendly which was a plus, as I have two fur babies.

Google
So delicious! Each dish was yummy and the service was fast (diff Benedict versions, cinnamon roll pancakes, choc chip pancakes). Our waitress was very sweet and personable. Baby friendly! 4 adults and 1 baby- we sat outside and there was more than enough room. Great breakfast spot! Def recommend.

Google
Never had a bad experience here! We've been coming here for over two years. The food is always delicious, the service always friendly and attentive and the atmosphere open for all types. My recommendation is to check yelp to see if their waitlist is open later in the morning. My go tos are: Leo's Steak & Eggs Machaca con Huevos (add a side of potatoes, it's worth it!) Chocolate chip pancakes Lychee Mimosa Fresh Mint Tea They also have macaroons!

While visiting the LA area, my wife & I ate breakfast here 2 mornings while in town. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Ky was our waitress during both visits and she is great! The food was great as well as the atmosphere. Valet parking. We will be back if we visit LA again. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This place is absolutely incredible. The food and the service was phenomenal. Came here for a Galentine's brunch had the most amazing server Natalie. She was on top of everything and made sure that we were taken care of and that everything was to our liking. The food came out look incredible and tasted even better than I imagined! Going to make Sunday brunch a regular thing here at this wonderful establishment!!

Yelp
I've been to many brunch spots with my old school friends from set/work. Usually they go for mimosas and all the rest is mediocre. NOT Leo and Lily, super packed on the weekend brunch schedule. Ordered French toast and Burrata Toast. Both were amazing! Waitress and service are top-notch. We were carefully attended to. :) Wish the parking was easier. It's valet, zero other way to park. Lot is tiny and street parking here is packed beyond comprehension.

Yelp
Leo & Lily here in Woodland Hills, Ca is wildly popular and always busy. On this very stormy rainy Thursday us four arrive for lunch. The breakfast menu looked the best, but it's 2:00 in the afternoon so we went with the lunch menu. I had a turkey meatball sandwich that was tasty but the temperature was off and it had way too much salt. My wife had their chicken burrito that she liked, but didn't love. My other two people who recommended this place loved everything they had. The reputation here is stellar, but I missed the correlation between very good and just good? This was definitely a "Taste" thing that I totally missed.

Yelp
My friends and I came here twice while we were in town and let me tell you.. the food is so fresh. We tried different dishes and every single one of them was amazing! Compliments to the chef *chef's kiss* It is such a cute spot. Our server both mornings was MORGAN and she is THE BEST. Great service, super sweet and funny. The food was great but Morgan was just above and beyond that I felt compelled to write a review. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Such a great quality food. Good service and ambiance my only trouble is parking, u have to account 7 to 10 dollars more.

Yelp
We come here all the time and we were finally able to have a complete family reunion of 9 of us with our significant others. Our server Ky was so kind and she even served us the day before too because we are obsessed with this place! Everyone's brunch selection was so delicious and the dining area was amazing vibes!

Yelp
Parking is limited in this area, so unless you prefer to pay valet, it's best to park a few blocks away. The restaurant is nice inside and the staff definitely has positive vibes. Alexandra was our waitress and was very friendly and jovial taking the order. We had the Crab Cake Benedict with potatoes, Machaca Con Huevos with Corn Tortillas, a Vanilla Latte, and Spicy Bloody Mary. All of it was delicious and came out pretty quickly. I'd definitely return to sample more of the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is tasty, but a bit pricer than it was worth for me, personally. The service was lacking, but I think they were short staffed that day that we visited. It is a cute little place though. The vibes where good :)
google avatar

Brooke M.

Yelp
What a cute place with plenty of outdoor seating and nice service. Everyone was super friendly and presented a great vibe. Indoors is cooler with AC in case it's too hot out. I ordered the avocado toast without eggs and it was delicious with the pickled onions. They substituted potatoes for the eggs. My friend ordered an omelette which was so huge and good she had to take half of it to go. Delicious matcha latte too! They have a $7 valet service in case you can't find parking.

Yelp
We recently moved to the area and wanted to treat ourselves to a nice brunch. We wandered onto Yelp and found Leo & Lilly. One of the reasons we gave them a try is because you can join the waitlist before showing up at the restaurant. It's nice to not have to wait around in the heat for your seat. We were seated in the section closest to Ventura Blvd. It's a tented area, separated from the main restaurant. I would not advise sitting there as the sun was beating down on the tent and it was hot. In the other sections, the building absorbs the sun's heat and I imagine that would be a more pleasant experience. Our server was a sweet young lady named Ky. When asked, she provided us her opinion on dishes we were deciding between to help guide our choices. She checked on us frequently to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. My partner went with the salmon benedict and I indulged in the cinnamon roll pancake with a side of 2 scrambled eggs. My partner was very happy with the benedict. I liked the pancake but in hindsight, it would have been best to have that as a shared plate and to have gotten a more substantial main dish. The pancake serving was generous, we didn't even finish it, it was just too sweet for an adult's primary breakfast. My partner is eager to go back and try the other benedict offerings and I definitely saw a fee things I'd like to try. We'll be returning soon!

Jessica L.

Yelp
I have been here plenty of times and every time I come here I remember the love I have for breakfast! Service is always great everyone is so friendly! The area is always cleaned & it's outside which makes it 100x better. Food is great especially if you're looking for a brunch place for a girls brunch or for yourself and your partner!

Yelp
Super cute spot for brunch. I had the ricotta and honey with pistachio toast, I could eat it everyday!!! It was such a tummy combination. My little one had the chocolate chip pancakes, she loved them, so did I, not too sweet and fluffy but thin. My husband had some crabcakes, they were truly delicious. Simple food, but very fresh and delicious. The place itself is also very cute.

Yelp
My family and i love leo and lily, when i come visit from college, it is a go to spot! Service: the service is great!! Rachel is a wonderful waitress and hostess who always ensures we receive the best treatment! We are always glad to see her there, thank you Rachel!! Food: the food is always great as well, i love the greek orzo salad with steak or the breakfast burrito! also recommend the egg white fritatas Ambiance; very nice outdoor seating and indoor seating. only issue is parking but they have valet nearby

Yelp
Can I just say how much I absolutely love this place?! Came here with a friend after a great workout and was hoping to find a place with great brunch food. We stumbled upon this gem of a place a quickly joined the waitlist. Due to the size of the restaurant, we didn't have a long wait and was able to be quickly sat by the staff. First things first, we loved our waitress. I believe her name is Alexandra, but she was so fun and charismatic that she made our visit even better. Depending on where you sit in the restaurant, some parts are busy and others seemed cozier due to the heat lamps. We were outside so the lamps were great for the weather. The food was delicious! My friend got the steak and eggs, we shared pancakes and I got an omelette. We were super happy with the food and the reasonable prices for everything. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Dii T.

Yelp
This restaurant has valet for $6 and there is street parking available as well. They get really busy and have expanded the outdoor space to become outdoor seating (inside a tent) with heat lamps. The crab cake benedict was unique and delicious, I'd recommend getting it. It was a fun place to brunch!

Yelp
STOP & GO & ASK FOR ALEXANDRA!!!! She is the sweetest and BEST SERVER in the valley! The food baby if you don't get the French toast with extra banana mousse you are living under a rock! Everything was perfect will be back ! We love you Alexandra!! Only will be back for her! & the vibes were good they were playing oldies

Yelp
My bf and I have been wanting to try this spot and we only ended up finally doing so recently because this other spot down the street was closed for catering! Unfortunately parking is pretty awful here and that goes for anything along Ventura Blvd. We tried driving nearby and looking but ended up just paying the valet which was like $5 or something. We got seated immediately! It's a small cafe and has a patio area but it was definitely packed and we got lucky to sit inside. Our waitress, Morgan, was super sweet and was so incredibly happy! Love the vibe she gave off and nailed our order. She even did a little mix of half n half into my iced hazelnut latte and it was perfect! The flavor was fantastic and by far one of the best iced lattes I've had from a sit down. We ordered a lychee mimosa as well and what a delight. Such a great flavor that you don't see too often and I'm glad they had it! I could definitely drink more than one!! The side of potatoes we got with scrambled eggs was amazing. We also got Ben's French toast which might also be one of the best I've ever had and I'm not one for sweets! I went for the avocado toast and it was incredibly good. I know a lot of people complain about paying so much for something you can easily make at home but I LOVED the way they did it! It even came with balsamic vinaigrette for you to drizzle on yourself which was perfect. Glad they gave you the option because it can definitely be overwhelming. It also came with pickled onions. What a perfect plate! Definitely want to take my mom out here some time because it is DELISH! IG: @ammysalamii

Yelp
It was okay. I had the breakfast yogurt parfait and it was not worth it. Had an obnoxious amount of granola and barely any yogurt that I had to ask for more yogurt since it looked like they were low on yogurt or something. My husband has the steak and eggs with potato's and the potatoes are weird? There not actual breakfast potato's there almost like potato's I've had before in an airport once where there previously frozen or something. Not worth the hype at all. And you're pretty much forced to do valet. Don't think this place is worth it at all.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Food: The food was overall solid! The cinnamon pancakes are a must try; super delicious. We also ordered the BLTAE on C which while was good, we wish there was more avocado as it was smaller than the size of my pinky. We ordered the salmon and crab cake Benedict which we thought we were really good. The eggs were perfectly yolky but I do wish the crab cake had some arugula on it or some veggies like the salmon one did! Do not get the matcha though!!! Tastes like milk. Service: Nice workers, a little slow but it gave us more time to think about the menu so a win. Also no wait time to get seated Ambiance: Cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. It can get a little loud as in you can sometimes hear other people's convos but it's definitely not too bad. However you do have to pay for parking!

Yelp
Check!!! Can now remove Leo & Lily from my "Need to Go Here" list on Yelp! Such a cute place with plenty of seating inside and on the outdoor covered patio. It's only opened for breakfast/brunch/lunch. The menu has a great variety of food for all dietary needs. We all ordered egg dishes and were very happy. *Parking lot is only for employees *Valet parking *Street parking **FYI - Park on Del Valle St. yourself for FREE. (This is where the valet will park your car)

Yelp
Came in for breakfast. This place is so cute. Has such a very quaint inviting feel. The staff was super friendly, greeted us as soon as we came in and let us know that we could sit anywhere we wanted. I did notice that outside there was valet. However, if you pass valet and drive up the street, you can park for free, which I did, and just walked down. Everything was delicious! I had a vanilla latte and I wish I would've taken pictures of my food. However, I was starving and immediately started eating... don't judge me!! me and my friend split the gluten-free banana pancakes and the avocado toast. I wasn't sure about the Avo toast because it had a boiled egg on top of it and i usually like a hard friend egg or scrambled egg on mine but turns out it works really well! Would order both again anytime. Would recommend if you're in the area to check them out!

Yelp
Great place for breakfast! We shared a breakfast burrito (delicious) and a cinnamon roll pancake. Our friends order the Benedict. All of it was really good. Best part was the service. Our waitress Marissa was excellent! We will sit in her section when we come again next time!

Yelp
Amazing French Toast , easy to order online. Food was delivered timely, Food is secure to discourage tampering. L&L Potatoes are perfectly seasoned unfortunately too often the potatoes are overcooked, reheated, not cooked when ordered. When we eat at the restaurant we experienced the same issue with the potatoes and when the food is delivered the same issue with the potatoes. It would be a great service to your loyal customers to improve the L&L Potatoes make sure they are as delicious as the other choices on the menu.

Yelp
I thought this was such a delightful diner. It's in a perfect location. That's quiet right off of the main street. I've never been here and I've lived in Los Angeles. My entire life. I'm pretty sure this is a best kept secret. Everything on the menu was good. They have so many salads and they have every type of breakfast food you can imagine. They have a lot of options and they also Provide options for drinks too. There's a bit of a weight but it moves very quickly once you're there. It's plenty of places to wait for your name to be called. They have a lot of variety for different size parties and they have two nicely sized restrooms and it's a perfect place for families kids or a date. I loved it. The service was also impeccable. Feels very local.
google avatar

Yelp
I really loved this spot the food, ambiance, and service inside the restaurant is great. I usually get the crab cake wrap with fries and its amazingggg! I love the dipping sauces it comes with. I usually get an iced vanilla latte when i come unless im doing bottomless mimosas with friends for brunch. When i get the wrap + a latte after tip its almost $40 which i think is pretty expensive for a meal for one person but i do crave it so i dont usually mind. The main issue i had with this place is the parking. The valet lot is small and fills quickly but i would NOT recommend parking your car there because one time i did they scratched the rims of my tesla model x. We tried to speak to the valet and the owner but nothing ended up happening on their end. After that i havent been since which is such a bummer because i did enjoy this place a lot
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food with great service - the wait staff is fantastic! Eating under the black tent is not as nice as eating under the portico, but we had adorable dogs roaming the space which made the experience charming.

Yelp
My friend and I celebrated her Bday here on a Wednesday mid morning. They have valet service but we parked up the street and walked. We were seated right away. Place was not too busy, but had a consistent turn around of customers. It was super cold that day so we moved away from the front door and the hostess was very gracious about it. Our sweet, warm and friendly server Nikki, not sure how she spelled it- was very helpful and attentive. Sooo many great choices to choose from.. everything sounded and looked delicious(we eyed other tables receiving their meals). Ended up ordering the Ricotta Toast and Greek omelette. Ricotta toast was quite unique and interestingly good. Next time I would ask for a lot less honey as it was quite sweet. More like a dessert than a breakfast item. My friend really enjoyed her omelette, it was a large portion- we could have split it. Potatoes were tasty. We also had a Matcha Latte and a Dirty Chai(both with oat milk). Both tasty. Can't wait to return and try something else.

Yelp
This place was sooooo good! It's a bummer it's so far from me since I'm from LB. Came to brunch h with my girlfriends and we were all so happy we found this spot! Food was great service was amazing even though they were very busy and ambiance was good too. Will definitely come back to this restaurant when in the area! Highly recommend the breakfast burrito!
google avatar

Yelp
We had brunch here with the kids and grandma. Everyone enjoyed the food, and service was great! It is very clean and simple inside, but in a nice way that even my wife liked. The only complaint was we both had little bits of something in our water. I would come back though to try the cinnamon roll pancake. My daughter had it and had leftover because it was a good sized portion.

Yelp
One of the better breakfast/brunch options in Woodland Hills. Leo & Lily is off the 101 near the shoup exit. Valet parking is available for the restaurant as well as street parking on Ventura. I came for breakfast this morning with friends we ordered the following: * cinnamon pancakes to share (sweet and indulgent - doesn't require syrup but not overly done) great to share. 8.8/10 * machaca con huevos (my order) short rib hash with over easy eggs on a bed of black beans with a side of tortilla, guacamole, sour cream, and house salsa. Great for someone who wants to switch up the standard egg entree. 9.2/10 * breakfast burrito (both my friends ordered this) came with turkey bacon, house potatoes, and a variety of sauces. 8.5/10 , 9.5/10 for the house potatoes. I ordered an iced dirty chai, which was a bit sweet, but still delicious. 7.8/10 Service was very attentive and pleasant. Ambiance is your average Sunday morning at a local breakfast joint.
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
Leo & Lily is located in the Woodland Hills and Calabasas area and serves breakfast and lunch with both indoor and outdoor seating. You can do valet parking or find street parking further in the residential neighborhood. We ordered the smoked salmon benedict ($20), Italian omelet ($17), and truffled parmesan fries ($7). The two entrees were on the bland side and salt and pepper didn't help all too much. The omelet had a lot of veggies and required a lot of crunching and I would've liked more meat; the texture was a little off to me. On the other hand, the side of potatoes were flavorful although both dishes had potatoes but one was more flavorful than the other. The truffle parmesan fries had big portions and were unfortunately our favorite dish, which spells trouble when it's a brunch place.
google avatar

Sasha F.

Yelp
One of our absolute favorite spots in the neighborhood. They're basically an upscale Mediterranean diner. They have a big menu that takes a while to explore-- and after coming here for some time now, we've never been disappointed. Sometimes, the dishes are inconsistent but even in that case, the variations are still good. Surprising deliciousness: Grilled Veggie panini. Shoutout to the wonderful staff, they're all super helpful. Be safe crossing the street though, it's a busy one.
google avatar

Katie P.

Yelp
Loved this place! My Machaca con Huevos was very delicious and I would totally get it again! I also ordered a Matcha latte which wasn't sweet enough for me, but no problem I just added extra sugar packets ;-) came here to catch up with some friends and it was the perfect spot with great ambience for good conversations. Pro tip: Don't park in the residential area that's on the same side as the restaurant! We were about to but a neighborhood worker told us they ticket. Thanks for looking out!
google avatar

Collin D.

Yelp
Had the best experience here... Sasha was our server for my sister's birthday brunch. She was so friendly, attentive, and helpful. The restaurant was packed and she made us feel like we were the only table there. She recommended the breakfast burrito to my friend who said it was one of the best in the valley. Will definitely be back and hoping to be lucky enough to have Sasha as our sever again. Note to her manager.. give that girl a raise!!

Yelp
The breakfast here is pretty good! The environment is very nice and cozy. The servers are very kind too. I highly recommend this place

Yelp
I LOVE their lychee mimosas!! We always get sat outside and it's nice but I don't love it in the summer when they turn their misters on. Otherwise I love everything about this place. Parking is tricky sometimes.

Yelp
Found this restaurant through Yelp and decided to check it out because of the high rating with lots of reviews. We ordered the breakfast burrito which came with some of their hashbrowns and ordered the eggs your way with the cappuccino and the matcha latte (it came with a pump of vanilla syrup). Let me start with the good part of this place, the vibes of the restaurant is really nice and I love the aesthetic of the place and the customer service was really good. The other good thing about this place was the quality of their hashbrowns, it had great amount of seasoning a nice crisp to it. Now let's get to the average part of the food, the breakfast burrito was average and nothing too spectacular about it and definitely not worth it for their price point. Now let's move on to the "bad" or the "not so good" part of our experience: the bacon was pretty much burnt and I know some people may prefer it that way but I wish they would've asked us how we wanted it cooked. She said that the cappuccino had no flavor to it and had to add extra sugar to it to give some type of flavor. And then the matcha, I don't even know where to start with that drink. It was so bland with literally no flavor to it, I don't even know if they used a pre mix matcha or something but that's definitely not how it's supposed to taste. This was just our experience, and I'm sure others will have better or worse experience than us

Yelp
Great ambiance, great food! The food came out super fast too, and the servers are wonderful. Had a lovely brunch!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Great coffee and chai tea lattes! We liked the eggs Benedict, but we LOVED the cinnamon roll pancakes.

Yelp
We had brunch on the patio at the recommendation of our local friend, and it did not disappoint. Not only was the food great, but the people (and cars!!) watching was out of this world. We loved our server Alexandra too, she was kind and funny. I had the Salmon plate with house made bagels and DH had the Shakshuka. Everything was a home run, even the coffee. But everything seems to taste better outside, which is one reason to visit Southern California every chance you get.
google avatar

Lynn C.

Yelp
Great service and good food. Dog friendly in the outdoor area. The owners were nice and stopped by our table to chat.
google avatar

Sara R.

Yelp
I love coming here with friends for breakfast on a weekday! It's busy, but we can always get a table. I love the variety of options for breakfast.. both sweet & savory choices. They have lots of seating on the patio outside and inside. The last time I went, I ordered the shakshuka and my daughter had the kids pancakes. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. My one gripe I have is the parking situation, as it is very difficult to find street parking, but they do have valet.
google avatar

Yonah F.

Yelp
Had brunch here today. The food was delicious and brought to the table (surprisingly) quickly. The waitress was friendly and helpful at choosing the best options. The atmosphere was laid back and welcoming. The coffee was strong (god bless) which was a perfect pick-me-up. It was reasonably priced. We even me Guy the owner, and he was a delight to talk to :) Parking is kind of crazy but the valet staff are pleasant and the service is reasonable. Overall a great brunch place. We will be coming back here a lot to try all the delicious things on the menu!

Yelp
After hearing great things, I finally dined here with friends, and it lived up to the hype. The creative menu offered something for everyone, and the flavors were spot on. The service was friendly and efficient.
google avatar

Udi S.

Yelp
Leo & Lily is my go-to spot for a fantastic breakfast to kickstart my weekends. The food is delicious, from fluffy pancakes to savory omelets, and their Shakshuka is a standout dish--perfectly spiced and incredibly flavorful. Their coffee is perfect every time, adding to the overall experience. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making each visit a delight. I'm also excited about their new dinner delivery and pickup program, which means I can now enjoy their excellent meals at home. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend checking out Leo & Lily for a great start to your day!
google avatar

Nicole V.

Yelp
I think having to valet your car on a Tuesday annoying and a waste of money. The food was okay but the side of potatos they charge $5 look like cut up French fries that were left overs. Also $16 for a slice of toast seems a bit overpriced. They were good with splitting the bill.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Great food and service. The quality of the ingredients used are really quite high. We shared the huevos rancheros which were the best I have ever had and the smokin hot omelet which was a special that day and was a great mix of ghouda cheese and sausage and eggs. Even the coffee here is extra delicious.
