Came here on an early weekend afternoon for the first time and had a great experience. Ordered “The crooner” which is chicken cutlet, arugula, balsamic glaze, sun dried tomatoes. Really delish. Dare I say too much chicken 😆 and would’ve loved the tomatoes to be sliced since they’re really chewy. Other than that great service, atmosphere and experience. Will definitely try again when I’m in the area. Recommend.

Huge selection of sandwich options, made with high quality ingredients. I couldn’t believe the size of the sandwiches and at such an affordable price point. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. This place is a gem. I can’t wait to go back!

Plenty of options to pick from food wise. Service was quick. They have two tables inside to eat at otherwise it's mostly a take out place. Definitely recommend the Chicken Bacon & Ranch Portions sizes are large and you get a good bang for your buck

First what I liked: The worker was very friendly and welcoming. He explained how the menu works and even offered us something for free. The atmosphere is cool and relaxed. What I disliked: The food did not meet my expectations. It looked okay but I had trouble finishing it because (I'm sorry to say) it didn't taste good. Although I will not return, as a fairly new store I wish the restaurant well and I hope they improve.

Sandwiches are always clean, place is clean and staff is super friendly. I’ve had their Crazy NYer, Chop cheese and Hobo, all great! Boom boom sauce is awesome as well! Great place to eat if you get selected for jury duty

Amazing food, amazing portions, great service, you feel like you are part of the family when you walk in . The eggplant cutlet is the best in all of Rockland County and beyond!

Great experience and hospitality. Owner recommended some sandwiches that we absolutely loved. And we were visiting from Houston so he gave us some places to try as well that we are excited to try out. But we will be making one more stop at Leonardo's.

First of all, I know you see that fat ass ham sandwich . The pictures alone should entice you to go but in case you need more convincing, continue reading. Leo's is the best deli hands down. They never skimp on anything, also super fresh and consistent! I usually order from door dash or Ubers eats and it's always quick! The staff is friendly in store as well. They also have the coolest mural on the front of the store. It's a cozy shop but does have some seating to enjoy your sandwich in house. I feel like prices are fair for what comes on the sandwich. Definitely would recommend any sandwich for breakfast or lunch!

Little spot that packs a punch. I went with the mimi's which id a chicken vodka parm. The bread is soft and so good. Can't stand when bread is too crusty on outside that it scratches the roof of your mouth. The sandwich was delicious. They also have quick service and the guy at the counter was friendly and welcoming. Will be back when in the area.

I had driven by the strip mall where the deli is located. I even went in there several times. But for some reason never went into the deli to get anything. Leonard who owns the dollar and up Store told me to go there. The first thing I got when I was there was a breakfast sandwich. It was very delicious and big Today I went back to get the crooner sandwich. It was the most gargantuan and delicious sandwich I've ever had. Prosciutto fresh mozzarella chicken other ingredients in there that were good too but I didn't have the menu to list off the individual ingredients. They'll get a new menu soon. Wow I could barely eat 1/2 of the Hero sandwich. Very friendly I was talking to one of the employees. I will definitely come back here for a sandwich. You could make three meals out of it. So it's well worth the price

Always a good experience here. The food is off the hook great and everything was fresh, plus the selection of amazing names sandwiches is crazy good. The service is also quick and hospitable.

Should have tried Leonardo's a lot sooner, as it has been recommended by a few coworkers. In my defense, I rarely head back to my work area outside of work time. However, I needed a wrap and a sandwich for a concert and I figured it was time to give it a shot. Very authentic vibe to the place, nice Italian deli feel with the authentic dried goods and drinks etc. The young lady working the counter was friendly and professional, she passed me along to the owner when I told her that I needed a sandwich and a wrap that would hold from 11am until dinner. The owner is a great guy, he put together a delicious wrap for my wife including chicken, ham, mozzarella and some greens and a huge hero for me. The hero featured chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and came with pesto and balsamic on the side. We ate the wrap and the hero seven hours later and they were excellent! I'm looking to return and order things when I'm ready to eat immediately.

The best Italian food in a very nice Italian atmosphere!!! The owner/chef is not only talented and creative but also warm and welcoming.

I love this place! Solid Italian Deli! Sandwiches are huge and delicious. I've started taking in the family meals, great value. The chicken cutlets and penne vodka are a must try! You'll be hooked! Friendly service.

Am I being punked??I got the Lucy's Sandwich on Rye bread. When I picked it up, it looked like a BIG sandwich and it was well made. Just take a look at the pictures and what I paid 16$ for... LOL. ONE chicken cutlet....and a couple of arugula pieces. They triple wrapped a measly little sandwich. This is a 7 dollar sandwich MAX and the audacity to charge almost 20 dollars for something as pathetic as this. No thanks! Never wasting my money again on this place.

We absolutely LOVE Leo's and order pretty much every week! Best deli in the area by far. Amazing sandwiches with fun pre made menu items and even the catering is phenomenal. The staff is SO nice and in the last year of being patrons, we have never had an issue with any order or their service. We take everyone here that comes from out of town because it is a must experience place :) keep up the great work guys!

Leonardo's is an all around great Italian Deli. I've been there many times for lunch & dinner. The Hero's are HUGE. They have standard sandwiches or you can choose from their specialty list. The family dinners will feed 4 with no problem. Look them up on line & place an order. You won't be disappointed.

Their bacon egg and cheese is the best around. 4 stars for that. Expect a good breakfast sandwich. Don't expect to enjoy your interaction with the people behind the counter. I've never met more unpleasant and miserable people. Ordered my food, walked right next door to 7/11 to get a drink, walked back in. All under 2 mins. Food wasn't ready for another 5. The bearded guy behind the counter gave me my food in a bag and walked away before I could pay. He didn't realize I hadn't paid yet, so I told him that he needed to ring me up so I can pay. Instead of being thankful for my honesty, he rudely told me that "maybe you shouldn't walk out before your food is ready". He rings me up and angrily hands me my receipt . Miserab. Oh!

Tried this place out for the first time a week ago or so and it is GREAT!! I've been working in the area for about 10 years now and I've always said New City needed a great Deli!!! And here it is !!! The hero's here are hugeeeee!!! Prices are great !! Staff is friendly !! This is the type of hero that's so meaty you eat half for lunch and bring home the other half later for dinner !!! Good Job Guys !!

Definitely one of the best delis in downtown New City. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed with any of my purchases. The portions of sandwiches are HUGE and so filling! Worth every penny. I've gotten two meals out of one sandwich for context and I have a big appetite. Leonardo's has high quality food and great service. I feel like this place is a hidden gem and I'm not mad about that. If you're looking for a good italian deli then look no further cause Leondaro's is amazing!

Leo's is the best Italian deli in Rockland County - Hands down. Frank, the owner, is an amazing person! Extremely generous to local first responders, makes the best food, caring and truly loves what he does. The breakfast sandwiches are filling, the special heroes are easily 1.5 - 2lbs, meaning leftovers and they're FANTASTIC. I've had at least 5 different sandwiches, with my family having more, and we rave every time. The family meals easily feed 4, with leftovers, and for the amount of food, the price is fantastic. Thank you for the amazing spot, Frank!! Anyone leaving this place anything under 4 stars can't be trusted!

Whoa whoa whoa!!! Hold the phone. I have been hearing about this place left and right. They have recently won the best BEC for the second year in Rockland County. I finally got the chance to try this place and I honestly almost fell out of my car. Absolutely Fantastic. On Fridays i eat fish. I had there "O No its Patrick" Hands Down!!! MFers The best fish sandwich I've had to date. Whenever a delicatessen takes me back to the city atmosphere, I feel at home.

All around amazing experience and food. First of all, all of the employees that I've spoken to have been impressively helpful and genuine. Super friendly and talkative. The food : simply fantastic . From the breakfast sandwiches to lunch, you will not be disappointed. There isn't anything on the menu that I haven't enjoyed. Can't wait to go back

They make the best sandwiches, heroes and hot dishes. Everyone I told about Leonard's also have become fans. Make sure when you order the heros you are hungry because they are huge.

Good quality sandwiches, if a little expensive. Food was prepared quickly and accurately. Would recommend the Italian combo. Ordering directly the restaurant will save you service fees. Very friendly staff. Ambience is that of a classic deli. Would go again.

Okay so for those of you out there seeking large portions and good food quality, look no further! Leonardo's offers generous portions and good food!The price might be a little more than other delis but you are getting a bang for your buck! As a food enthusiast, I appreciate a meal that leaves me fully satiated and this establishment met that criteria! I had a majority of their hot sandwiches and I definitely recommend The Mimi's which is a remarkable chicken cutlet sandwich with vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella! Each bite reveals a symphony of flavors. The vodka sauce is a velvety creation that elevates this sandwich to new heights! You can't go wrong with the other hot sandwiches they offer and the breakfast options such as the Meat Egg and Cheese sandwiches! Great Deli and Friendly Staff.

I guess having too much food is better than having not enough but i mean what the FUCK lol. You can't rationalize the amount of chicken they put on a roll sandwich. First thing i did was remove half the chicken on this. Then they got the nerve to complain about food cost..... uh, I think i know where the wasted money is going. I mean who could seriously enjoy this ratio in a sandwich? lol

My local deli used to be first rate but new ownership has disappointed myself and other residents. A friend of mine who is a foodie of sorts recommend Leo's to me. He exudes the pulse of New City latest restaurants, delis, and cafes. I walked inside this rather traditional deli and felt like I was transported to a quaint neighborhood in Italy. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak while my folks shared an Italian Combo. If you can trigger a food orgasm, this is it. My Philly was muy delicioso. The italian bread was not soggy or too hardened. I would taste this place again. Thanks. I hope that more Rocklanders discover Leo's. molto benne.

We recently worked with Frank for a large catering order and the food and service were fantastic! We really appreciate the first impression the deli provided with free samples of the food we were interested in. They also prepared fresh samples which were dinner foods during morning hours for us. Everyone was raving about the food, we will definitely be recommending and returning to try their sandwich's :)

THANKFUL & PLÈASED AN EXCEPTIONAL DELI HAS FINALLY OPENED IN NEW CITY! OMG! This place is FANTASTIC, OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING! I have ordered almost 4 times and tried something new each time I have yet to be disappointed and sincerely doubt I can be disappointed. Their sandwiches are huge and enough to fill 2 grown adult's with 1 sandwich. The names are fun and it's always hard to choose which one. The bread is like being in the Bronx as a child! The chicken is melt in your mouth. I can't express it enough, if you haven't gone there yet, you better get going asap! You don't understand what you're missing. I have to say I thought it was a little pricey the 1st time I ordered, but when I got home and opened up 1 of the heros, I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of food between the bread! Not to mention the flavors! I should have wrote this a few weeks ago, but better late then never. Make sure to go online and read the menu, then call ahead to order. This way you don't have to stand around for 20 minutes waiting. The guys up front have been very nice and welcoming too! So that's always nice, you know it's not always like that in New City. Leonardo's is the best Italian deli in Rockland. Matter of fact I would go as far as saying best Deli in NY State. only ordered there once - prices are NOT cheap - but neither outrageous. i had turkey hero - if prices were a little cheaper, easy 5 star. if this place were closer to where i live, i'd probably be a regular.

Great sandwiches. I had the crooner and it was Not only is the food delicious and the service fantastic, but if you leave an extra special tip, you may get lucky and have the grey haired (real crooner) emerge from the back to sing you a soulful serenade.

I ordered chicken Francese for a dinner party the other night and I could not use it because it was not Francese . It had a thick lumpy sauce that looked Very distasteful and it definitely was not Francese. I called the establishment today and spoke to Frank. He didn't believe that it was the wrong sauce so he offered me half off a tray of chicken Francese the next time. I will not be ordering anything else from this establishment. Instead of offering me a free tray for the next time or credit my account for that one tray he just said he would give me half off the next tray. Very bad business etiquette.

Just discovered this place and ordered 2 sandwiches in the past 2 weeks. Everything's fresh and tastes great. The bread is great and they don't skimp. Nice staff and they take care of your order quick. Will drive a couple of extra miles here instead of to the place down the block from me which is convenient but average to below average.

Hands-down the best deli I have been to since I moved to Rockland County 28 years ago. I have searched every store for a nice chicken cutlet to no avail , well today I found it. Not too thick not too thin crispy golden brown perfect on a sandwich or take a few home to chop up and put in a salad. I have had over the past week or so the Frankie boy ,the roast beef, turkey club and the Philly cheesesteak all were exceptional. On my next few visits I will try some of their Italian heroes. The sandwiches are in fact huge and Great value. The staff has treated me great, I wish you all the luck and a long run, be back soon.

Looks like your typical deli, long counter, some cookies, chips, etc but the sandwiches are not typical they're great! They have lots of combinations and so far all have been fresh, the bread is awesome and not too bad on the prices! They have hot food too, haven't tried yet. Friendly staff and quick service, this is my go to place now for sandwiches!

Leonardo's deli is amazing. The sandwiches are on point and the staff is professional, friendly and serve up a kickin sandwich. I personally love the variety of sandwich options they offer.
