I recently had the pleasure of dining at Leonardo’s, a charming New York Style brick oven pizzeria located on Main Avenue in Norwalk, CT, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. I decided to try their classic Margherita and was blown away by the crisp, thin crust and the rich, flavorful tomato sauce. I’ve only had delivery. But because it’s been great each time, I’m giving 5 stars across the board! The pizza is awesome! Crust is perfect, top is never greasy, sauce is always sweet and tangy! Seems like a family kinda spot because whoever takes my order is pretty nice, deals with my annoying Jersey accent and picky orders! Found my pizza spot!

Pizza is usually very good. Especially grandma squares, plain, pepperoni, etc. Had a mediocre experience ordering an entree to go once. But whatever. It’s a pizzeria first. That’s what they are good at. Ask for pies and slices well done. Might be best place to get a slice in Norwalk. Grandma square is amazing. Crust is delicious and chunks of tomatoes and fresh mozz create a great blend of flavors when you chew it. But yeah, I only get the pizza here. I saw someone complained about grumpy staff in a review. lol. It’s a pizzeria. Grumpy staff are a prerequisite for good pizza. Are you going there for food or to pay for friendship? I saw a lady complained about a burger. A burger? lol. Your problem you ordered a burger at a pizzeria. I have yet to find a grandma square that matches Leonardo’s. I think the pizza has gotten better over time, too.

Super tasty pizza with good quality sauce and generously portioned toppings. We got the Sicilian, grandma, and the regular with mushrooms. All were beautifully executed but highly recommend the Sicilian. Overall one of the best places we tried in CT. We will be coming back!

I recently started coming here because I loveeee chicken parm sandwiches and they have the best ones I’ve ever tried!!! Everyone who works here is so nice and competent, and they have always given me the best service. I’m so happy to have a regular place where I can count on to get my order right. 💕💕

Came to Norwalk to for a meeting. Stopped at this pizzeria and the experience was awesome. Pizza slices are large and the tomato sauce was tasty and they are bilingual ( Spanish and English)

I ordered a pizza from them and got the $4,55 upgrade to include "Bleu cheese". What I received was a cheese pizza with 1-2 ounces of a bleu cheese dressing in a container on the side. See the screenshot: I paid $4.55 for bleu cheese and got $0.50 worth of a bleu cheese dressing. When I called to complain they hung up on me. AVOID THIS PLACE! Horrible deceit and mediocre pizza, there are many better options.

We arrived as they were opening and the staff were ready to roll. If it's truly ,"one bite: everyone knows the rules," this place marks high. Large pie with little flop, great crisp to the bite and crazy good flavor. We were on the way to the airport, but if we lived in the area this would be a weekly stop. Low key place with high quality food.

Nice local pizzeria with great parking available. They have many options for slices. Their pizza is flavorful. I'm coming from NY so a bit of a pizza snob. The only negative I could say is that I wish the crust were a bit thinner. Other than that I would recommend as it's a good place in the Norwalk vicinity.

Great little hole in the wall pizza sub place. My coworker got a meatball grinder on panini bread and I got a grilled chicken sandwich. Both of us were happy with the food and the freshness. The meatballs and bread were super fresh and the salad ingredients were too. We will be back Parking is good Credit cards are taken

Terrific food and wonderful service. They offer excellent pizza and salads. We ordered a salad with grilled chicken and avocado. Excellent! Super fresh greens and veggies, perfectly grilled chicken - not overcooked like so many other restaurants serve, and the avocado was a generous portion and ripe without being overly soft/mushy. They also gave us 3 freshly baked, absolutely delicious rolls. Lina is one of the owners and is genuinely warm and gracious. Terrific find in Norwalk! Will be back for sure...

When I called to make a question about ordering from the menu, got a very rude response followed by, I am the owner. Was told delivery would take 50 minutes. Delivery showed up in less than 10 minutes and the aggressive knocking caused me to be frightened as it was not expected. In terms of food, I ordered a pizza and it was severely undercooked.

One of the BEST pizzas I've had in my life (besides when I had brick oven pizza in a small town in Calabria, Italy as well as a few of the great pizzerias in Brooklyn). This pizza is extremely similar - if not identical - to the pizza I know and love from Brooklyn. If you're familiar with traditional NY style thin crust Brooklyn pizza, you'll love Leonardos pizza as well. Best pizza in CT by far! We've tried a bunch of different places in Norwalk, Stamford, New Haven, Westport, etc, and I can say, without a doubt, Leonardos is the best pizza pie you can find in the state! Even compared to the "famous" CT pizzerias (frank pepes, etc) this is way better. I highly recommend the Margarita pie. The crust is INCREDIBLE. I barely ever write reviews on Yelp, only when I either really love or hate a place, but this place deserves all the love it can get. Service was great, very quick delivery. Very nice guy we spoke with on the phone when ordering, which is somewhat rare because it seems like most other pizzerias employees that answer phone calls to order are rude and not hospitable. This place is all around 5 stars in every category. Will absolutely be recommending Leonardos and we will be returning here anytime we have a hankering for pizza!

I keep asking for well done, I've gone as far as requesting my pizza be burnt, and for some reason they refuse to make the pizza well done. See attached photo - this was a margarita with pepperoni. I asked for it to be EXTRA WELL DONE, mentioning that I prefer the pepperoni to be burnt and crispy. I don't understand why it is such a difficult request to fulfill. I've been trying with them for months because the quality of their ingredients is great - hoping they get it right and its just not happening. You be the judge, is this pizza "EXTRA WELL DONE"? UPDATE: I had to downgrade this from 3 stars to 2 stars on account of the fact that I just read the OVERWHELMING amount of reviews that all have the same problem as me. How is it possible that you have all of these people complaining that they requested their food cooked "well done" and you haven't correct the issue? Really unfortunate.

Unfortunately the pizza dough is not consistent. Sometimes you get an awesome pizza crust chewy that u won't wanna miss a bite, but sometimes it tastes like it's not fully cooked, like any lf the frozen pizza, i feel like it's by chance you get the great quality ones. Not to mention the Chicken wings has been disappointing, always dry.

Decided to try supporting somewhere new. I ordered Pizza, wings, and Jalepeno poppers through Ubereats. 5 mins before our delivery was supposed to arrive Leonardo's canceled our whole order because they were out of something we had ordered. Why not call us and ask if we'd like to substitute? Very unprofessional, was looking forward to a new pizza place, but never again.

Don't hurt yourself on the toppings!! Second time ordering from here, first time for toppings. Glad I paid $3 for extra toppings on each side and get very average toppings. Won't make this mistake again!

Solid sandwiches for a pizza spot. Good pepperoni pizza. I enjoy this spot a lot. They also never forget any food when I place Uber orders.

I don't even know what to say. I ordered chicken parm extra cheese extra crispy, got eggplant parm delivered that didn't have extra cheese or crispy. I called and despite them offering to deliver a new one decided to go drive back to get one. Can't believe after all that they gave me a chicken parm that isn't extra crispy. I'm really at a loss for words on this one as I communicated with them about this multiple times, even talked about it in the restaurant. Also no parm cheese given. The bread the meals come with are great. Wife's pasta was ok, asparagus seemed to be canned.

Leonardo's has great food and they prepare it quickly. I tried the chicken parm pizza and the chicken parm sandwich and both were tasty. The prices are also reasonable.

This place is seriously the best! I get the thick crust and it's the best pizza I've ever had. The chicken bacon ranch with thick crust is phenomenal! I also get the house salad which never disappoints. I usually check out with an older woman who is so sweet! They offer plates, cups, napkins, and utensils which are all in the front. You just grab them when you leave. Overall, I love this place. Their food, service, and overall vibe is spectacular. I love this place and wish there was one closer to my hometown!

This place is great! We ordered pizza to get delivered to the hotel after our wedding for the after party. The order arrived on time and hot! They even stayed open late to deliver our large order since our reception ended later than their restaurant hours. Our guests loved it and the pizza was yummy!

Where to begin... :/ I started ordering from Leonardo's around the beginning of the pandemic, and for a long time they were very consistent in quality and service. However the past few months they have progressively gone down hill where I will never order from them again. *Even in the beginning when ordering I've had to specify "well done" when ordering pizza and pasta dishes. (We like our cheese a nice golden brown at our house) Most of the time they would comply, but now they just don't care or listen. (See photo below) *Recently ordered two small pizzas and both were hardly cooked at all. *Twice recently they forgot to include our salads that come with the pasta meals, although they DID include the dressing on the side :/ *Several times I've told them to please not ring our doorbell because our 100+pound pittbull goes nuts, to please call or text and I will come outside to get our food. They complied once or twice but now they ring the bell or even worse violently bang on our door, making our dog hit the roof. *Last night was the last straw. Ordered eggplant parm, specified to the man on the phone "Please make sure it's well done." gave him my credit card number and told him to charge an extra amount as a delivery tip for the driver. So the same idiot driver who has delivered here before bangs on the door, my girlfriend is trying her best to control our dog, he insists I sign the credit card slip (didn't these go out once the pandemic hit??!!) and not to forget the tip. Now I'm REALLY annoyed because I told him I told the guy on the phone to include his tip, and he tells me "They never include tips on credit card orders." So for god knows how long the drivers must think I'm a cheap (bleep!) who never tips!! On top of everything, they forgot (again!!) the salad dressing and we had to pop our eggplant parm in our own oven for 20 minutes just to make it edible. Sorry Leonardo's, you will longer be getting our business :/

Saw some ad saying 'best pizza'. Well you know what that means. But let me tell you, the regular slice here blew me away. It was surprisingly flavorful with a perfectly cooked crust and sauce that didn't taste like paste. Definitely returning!

My wife and I recently went back to Leonardo's Pizza in Norwalk. After trying their slices I wanted to try a pizza made fresh and eat it there. I was extremely happy with the pizza we got. Plenty of sauce, good flavor, fresh mushrooms, great service. I checked out the large pasta dishes at a nearby table. They looked delicious and were large. I will definitely go back and recommend Leonardo's.

They bumped up the prices way high on delivery apps. Can no longer afford to get food from here unfortunately. :(

Unfortunately only ordered a Italian sub. I had requested extra lettuce and onion with the vinegar/oil and Mayo on the side and I got what I ordered. If the bread was toasted it could have been 10/10 but I was highly satisfied. If I ever find myself in Norwalk again , I will have to return to Leonardo's. Must try.

The food arrived cold. Everything was wrong. And when I called up to complain, they told me that I wasn't a Leonardo's customer that I was an Uber customer and I had to complain about it to Uber and that there was nothing they could do for somebody who orders from them all the time.

Leonardo's food is terrific! We have had many excellent items and last night we had the chicken Francese and it was outstanding. The owner is terrific as is his team. The menu has something for everyone! This is a must try if you haven't been there already.

Excellent. I had the cheese and sausage pepperoni pizza. Sauce is flavorable. Good crunch. Cheese looked heavy but actually very light. Pleasantly surprised. Will go back again.

Their delivery service leaves something to be desired. Might be better in store, but for an elderly disabled couple who is home-bound, it scratched the pizza itch...just enough.

Disgusting. Ordered a Sicilian pizza and it was horrible. Tons of uncooked gelatinous cheese made this a messy wet sloppy pizza. Had to try to cut it with a large kitchen knife, that's always cool. The bottom of the pizza was stuck to the paper underneath it also. That makes great texture. One slice and threw the rest out. One and done.

Delicious pizza. Reminds me of one of my favorite spots in Queens NY. Classic taste with a tangy tomato sauce and we'll cooked crust.

I absolutely enjoyed this place. Very hospitable and their pizza is great. This place makes their pizza from scratch and you can definitely taste the difference. I also enjoyed their chicken tortellini soup that comes with three homemade bread sticks.

Ordered for pick up on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The pizza was ready super quick (within 15 mins)! Great specials and coupons and the best part pizza's were super tasty! The buffalo chicken pizza was really good. Had a great kick to it and the chicken was cooked perfectly. We'll definitely order from this spot again. 5+ stars on customer service and food!

This business is going down hill. I am no longer a happy customer. The owner is never there or available. The food is inconsistent. There is a lady who works there who always has an attitude!!!!

the food is always fine but the service? I called with a complaint because my order was more than an hour late. When o called the man on the phone sounded drunk out of his mind, he could even put a sentence together. I called an hour before closing and he said he had already sent his drivers home just a bit before. He also told me that he couldn't do anything and that if it doesn't arrive then thats to bad. the Store has been closed for some time now and my food never arrived

Wow! Why haven't I tried their pizza sooner?! Fricken delicious! perfect sauce perfect cheese perfect crust perfect bite! Thin airy and yumminess! Would choose this over colony pizza. Ordered a small pizza with fresh garlic. Service was quick got my pizza in ten mins. Friendly service. My go to pizza place from now on

This is a pretty good pizza place. We have gotten takeout twice from this place and it came quick and still warm. The steamed broccoli is pretty good. It's very soft though so just make sure you're into that. They put garlic on it too. The bruschetta is delicious! The olive oil used is wonderful tasting and they use red onions. Warning the bread does get super soggy but use a fork and it's fine. We got a meatball sandwich too. This didn't knock my socks off but it was still good. There was almost too much cheese and the meatballs themselves weren't seasoned enough. Now to the classic, pizza. The cheese/pepperoni were very good. The dough is good and seems homemade. One night we got Hawaiian. It was probably the best Hawaiian pizza I've found in the area. The pineapple had a lot of flavor, it was ham (not bacon) but the ham was cut into smaller pieces rather than big slabs of it like you'll over find. My only qualm is it seemed like too much cheese because the toppings were too heavy for the dough and just flopped off if you weren't careful.

Order takeout on our way from leaving our dog at VCA for hospital care. Order was fresh and ready when we arrived and the garlic knots were great! Staff wasn't wearing masks inside until I came in, which sort of defeats the purpose in an enclosed space but I appreciated they made an effort!

My husband and I decided to order from here since we were out of town, we noticed Leonardo's pizza had a 4.9 rating . We ordered 12 piece super hot wings, Anthony's burger with French fries,Chili cheeseburger with onion rings and a Pepsi. Guess what the best part of the meal was? THE PEPSI! The burgers were so dry and not seasoned at all! All I taste when I took a bite was burnt grill flavor, the bread was over toasted. When we eat burgers we want the juice dripping down our arms. Not even close. The fries didn't have any salt and were soggy like they fried them in cold oil. Don't get me started on the wings, they had me by the name EXTRA spicy, they were NOT spicy at ALL! I mean if you're broadcasting spicy wings they should make my nose run or something. No they tasted like Buffalo wings with franks red hot sauce. Honestly I don't know how they have all these good reviews! This was the worst 40$ spent!

Had the tortellini alfredo delivered to work. My only request was no black pepper. When I opened the bag it was loaded with black pepper, but I was hungry and I will always try food before dismissing it. Plus, it was an online order so you never know if they just missed the little note. Ok, this dish was SO GOOD. I don't know if I suddenly love pepper or if this was just that good, but regardless I will absolutely order it again. It was steaming hot, the bread was so soft and warm and perfect. I am very happy lol. Thank you!

We have become regulars! The pizza is delicious, it always arrives on time, it's nice and warm. If you like pizza with good thick crust then this INE is for you! Their special deal is great for a family! We always order extra wings because they are nice and juicy. I can't recommend them enough!!! This is not a paid advertising we just really love their pizza!

HORRIBLE FOOD HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - Ordered a margherita pizza and chicken marsala. The pizza was so undercooked it was basically raw and completely inedible and the chicken was dry and rubbery with no flavor- other than salt. We were so, so hungry after a long day of work and couldn't eat any of it. I am a restaurant manager and contact Postmates on behalf of customers all the time for various reasons- I know it is possible to have an order refunded for a client. When I called, the owner was unapologetic and lied, saying he just "gets a check" from Postmates and has no way of contacting them. It is awfully wrong to pay for something so wrong, so improperly done. Horrible food, horrible experience, will not ever be ordering from or recommending Leonardo's.

Really good food. Plenty of food for the price. Family lives when I say we are getting Leonardo's. Only problem is delivery cancels often after a long wait.
