This is definitely a hidden gem, great tasting pizzas, wings, garlic breadsticks, everything cooked to perfection. Best garlic sauce based pizzas in Vemont, their toppings are fresh, fast service and the food is always the right temperature. Definitely worth it!!

Stopped by this pizza place during a road trip, and it was a pleasant surprise! The picture doesn’t do it justice—the crust was perfectly crunchy but still soft and not dry on the inside. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced, and the taste exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

Last couple of times I’ve gotten pizza from here have been disappointing. Used to be the best pizza to pick up in South Burlington, but it seems super inconsistent these days. Sometimes, their food is amazing; Other times pizzas are inconsistently cooked, contain weird ratios of ingredients, or improper cooking of ingredients (ex: putting basil on before cooking so the basil comes out burned). Really sad and hope things get better because the pizza when it’s good is delicious, and I appreciate the vegetarian options offered. ***Update March 2025: had a very disappointing experience this past Friday where we ordered a roasted reds redemption thin crust pizza without caramelized onions. What we received was a sloppy pizza that was extremely undercooked in the middle to the point it was stuck to the box and the crust itself was very uneven throughout. Tried a slice that seemed mostly cooked and it contained enough onions it ruined the entire pizza as that was all I could taste. Very unhappy about this. We ordered 2 other pizzas that came out great but was very upset as this was the pizza I ordered for myself and it went straight into the waste bin as it wasn’t salvageable.

For being new to the city, they sent us a coupon for a free large pizza 🍕. It was wonderful!!! They were all pleasant to deal with and happy to welcome us to S. Burlington. We enjoyed the delicious pizza and will definitely go back again. 😋

Ordered 3 pizzas for delivery to.a Medical facility for the staff’s dinner. I placed the order 5 hours before, paid for the pizzas, and was assured they would be delivered by 5:50PM as the staff has a very tight window for dinner. When 6:15 came and went I called the store and was given such an crappy attitude by the “manager” that I will never order there again. It was my first time ordering and I don’t care how good the pizza is - the poor customer service outweighed everything else. The pizzas arrived at 6:40 PM - well after the time the staff could eat. I understand you get busy, but don’t promise what you can’t deliver. To the store’s credit, they did refund the $80+ for the order. I didn’t want a refund as much as an acknowledgment “I’m sorry we didn’t meet your expectations”. A nice gesture for the staff that didn’t turn out too well.

Have moved out of State, came to VT for visit, and could not wait to have my favorite Leonardo’s Greek Island again. This pizza did not disappoint! The wheat crust is fantastic. I swear I could eat it everyday, and it would not get old! Highly recommended! ♥️

Stopped in for a pizza and by the time I got home, it was floating in grease. The pizza was soggy and the toppings slid right off. Called to speak to someone about this. Immediately placed on hold so they could "speak to the manager". On hold for 10 minutes and no response. Twice this has happened to me. Unprofessional phone service, passive aggressive, and the pizza was unpalatable.

Too good! The pizza is just too good! I love how casual the guys at the pizzeria are, when churning out a mean pie! Loved every bite of it.

I've had Leonardo's in both Maine and Vermont, it's absolutely amazing, Deliciousness to say the least!!!! I've never gone into any location because I've always had it delivered but their service is prompt and professional. Even while ordering over the phone, their customer service is phenomenal. I was incorrectly charged once and they gave me a full refund and the pizza/ wings were on the house! That's customer service at its finest!

Very expensive for mediocre pizza. Ordered from a free pizza coupon from a welcome to Burlington packet. Wanted to order more stuff but the menu is pretty much just pizza. The Maine Potato Pie was a roll of the dice and it turned out to be red onion pizza because that's all you could taste. Going to have to try more spots around the area.

Stopped in the other day just to grab a few slices to see if it was any good. Overall, the pizza wasn't bad but it's nothing I would go out of my way for. There is no space to sit inside and eat, and the drink selection is limited.

The pizzas were amazing. They were very accurate on delivery time. We did not eat in so I can't comment on the establishment, but the food was delicious.

Very good pizza - I ordered half fennel sausage gourmet and half margherita. I was very surprised there wasn't an upcharge to split the flavors and it actually looked encouraged while ordering. I got thin crust and requested 8 cuts and it was perfectly crispy. Delivery driver was also nice. The highlight was the margherita half - great cheese and perfectly cooked tomatoes. Slightly on the expensive side but, obviously, pizza is more than worth it. Also, I ate the whole thing before I could take a picture but it looked as good as it tasted.

I was in town on business and arrive at my hotel in the evening. Leonardo's was very close and I was hungry. The business was pretty busy with take out orders. Staff were friendly and the place appeared organized and clean. I ordered a Thai chicken pizza and it was great. Hot, as described and I especially liked the crust. The crust was hand tossed and had a slight fresh bready chew.

Have you ever left a catered work function hungry because they ordered Leonardo's pizza but you'd rather wait to get home to eat a frozen pizza... oof lol long story short: too doughy, awful tomato paste like sauce, not enough surface area for toppings/cheese, made and delivered by a stoned 19 year old who's just trying to make some beer money. If you're reading this do yourself a solid and hit up any of the other pizza spots in town.

What a disappointment ! I have been a fan of Leonard's pizza for years . On August 15, 2023 , I ordered a meat lover's revenge pizza from the Williston location. The pizza was a disaster. The pizza sauce was nothing more than lumps of tomato paste, heavy and salty, hardly any varieties of meats that my family is used to it looked like slices of salami all over the pizza. The pizza was not cut properly, so by the time it arrived, it was really hard to cut and separate the slices. We ended up composting most of that pizza.

Strong pizza! Great variety of toppings. Ready on time. Will get more pizza from them next time in Burlington

So yummy. We were in Burlington a year ago and enjoyed it then. Picked up a pizza this week, and it was just as good. We ordered and prepaid online, and the pizza was waiting on me to pick up when I got there.

Good quality ingredients and very fresh pizza. Best to order pick up. Chicken tenders are not processed and are awesome. Not my favorite style of pizza as its very heavy and dense but if you want a super filling meal and really great value then check it out.

Well, we fell for them again, and got burned again. We ordered a single pizza at 630 on a Monday night and it took an hour and a half to get delivered. The order said 50 min, which is too long for pizza in general. An hour after the order I received an email that said it was on the way. We live maybe 8-10 min from the store and it still too 30 additional minutes to get our lukewarm pizza. I get that they're understaffed. If you can't offer your customers proper delivery service, then cut it. I'd much rather have them say takeout only than lie about delivery times than receive cold food. We're not falling for them again, no matter how many coupons they send.

Extremely friendly staff and a unique selection of pizzas. The nine feet under was the favorite of the four we tired during our visits. The baked wings were excellent ( ask for hot tossed in buffalo sauce ). The Nutella bread was also very good. Overall a pleasant surprise, I look forward to visiting in the future.

We grabbed a late dinner here when we first arrived in Burlington. Wish so much we had more unplanned dinners/lunches while there because we definitely would go again. The staff was truly great and so engaging. We waited for our pizza and wings and chatted the whole time. Outstanding place.

Was looking to go to to Pizza Hut, but insted ended up in the parking lot of this hidden gem. From the get go we could tell that this place was going to be incredible. The way that the workers tossed the pizza like it was nothing was mesmerizing. The performance they put on was incredible. When we finally ordered, we were faced with a vast variety of options, each looking more appealing than the last. At the end we made the tough desision of a plain medium pizza with a side of garlic breadsticks. Best. Decision. Ever. They made quick work of the order without any blemishes to the quality. We got it perfectly cooked and oven-hot and fresh. We had high hopes based on the looks and the pizza certainly did not disapoint. Every square inch of that italian masterpiece was overflowing with flavor and elegant texture. The breadsticks were equally as delicious. They had the perfect crunch and when paired with cool, soothing marinara sauce had the perfect balace of flavor and provided a magical feeling inside your mouth. It was as if there was a raging party inside our bodies throughout the whole experience. This was definitely some of the best pizza we have ever had the pleasure of tasting and we are sad to say we will likely never be able to reach this apex of flavor again, or at least for a very long time. This was truly an incredible experience from watching our pizza get made to the otherworldly experiance of tasting it. Thank you!

This is a local pizza chain that is only found in Vermont and Maine. It's sort of a hybrid between California pizza kitchen and your typical "pizza." They've got a lot of specialty pizzas such as Thai chicken, barbecue chicken, and buffalo chicken, and much more. So it's not your typical tomato sauce with cheese and sausage kind of place. However if that is your thing, you can get that here as well. What really stuck out to me was their whole wheat crust which they offer for only $.50 more. It's the best whole wheat crust I've ever had. Super crunchy and flavorful without the guilt, or at least most of it. They've got a ton of sauces and toppings to pick from but honestly I think the best pick is the Thai chicken pizza. The Thai peanut sauce is on point, if you pair it with a thin crust, it really hits the spot. I also really like their garlic olive sauce that they use for some of their specialty pizzas in lieu of the tomato sauce.

The bomb cyclone was coming and we were in desperate need of somewhere we could grab an early dinner and get safely to our hotel to hide out...this happened to be on the way and well-rated, so we thought we'd try it! And indeed, it was a good choice - the pizza was hot and ready on time, and quite tasty! We got the veggie and a half pineapple-onion, half hot honey minus the pepperoni (two larges for four people, plus a basic salad) and all were well received. The only real critique was that the hot honey wasn't very hot-honeyed. Leftover also heated up well (we ended up with about three quarters of a pizza left over, they're a decent size...about 8-10 pieces each in a large).

It's a solid local pizza spot. If I'm ever in doubt leonardos delivers! While I've tried a couple different types of their pizza the one I think that has been weakest was BBQ Chicken. Just cause it lacked in flavor & didn't bring the kick I wanted. But the classic topping pizzas always hit well. Definitely should be considered a Burlington standard for Pizza

Disappointed. I did a preorder. I ordered at noon, expecting it to deliver at 6pm. At 6:15 I was still waiting, and at 6:20 I called them and they told me they were very busy and backed up. I called again at 6:45 and they told me the delivery driver had arrived at the store and would be leaving soon. Then at 7:15 the driver himself called me and asked if I still wanted my pizza and said he was leaving the store now. I finally got it 1.5 hours after the time of delivery. After chatting with the driver, he informed me that the manager who makes the schedule forgot to take into account that college students were back and would be ordering. I think part of this very late delivery though is the staff and their inability to pick up the speed of their service when it calls for it. When I finally got to eat my pizza, it was no longer hot. It was just warm and I was debating putting it in the microwave to heat up.

Excellent salad! Delish fresh and unique ingredients. Glad I called and ordered online because salad was not listed on line. Fast delivery. Good pizza and excellent service.

Very disappointed in what used to be a Burlington staple. Although delivery is convenient, it's just not worth it. Sad.

Gorgonzola "gourmet" had exactly two pieces of artichoke, crust was awful. We actually threw away more than half the pizza. Dominos and little Caesar's would be a better option. Gorgonzola Gourmet

The food was good delivered in a timely manner. My problem was it is portrayed to be an authentic pizzeria that would produce its own dough and serve fresh wings. It was definitely not from scratch. Leonardo's reminds me of a jacked up Papa Johns. No offense as the product was quality but I can get the same thing from any other chain pizza joint. I would have to say if I am back in the area I would probably skip by Leonardo's.

My family and I ordered pizza and boneless wings from here last week for my birthday. The pizza here was great and I love the fact they have anchovies available as a topping. I heard the boneless wings here were great but mine were tough. I heated some up the next day and they were more tender. They could have been a little on the cold side when I got back home which is why they were tough. I'd definitely order pizza again here but probably pass on the boneless wings.

We ordered a pie for pickup and it hit the spot. The sauce wasn't too sweet, not too spicy and the meat and cheese were flavorful. We'll order from Leonardo's again in the future. Would've been four stars, but one worker wasn't wearing a mask at all. Not a good look in these days of Covid-19.

We stopped here before the Twiddle drive in concert for some dinner. We ordered two pizzas, pepperoni well done and a meat lovers. Then we got 2lbs of chicken tenders. The pizzas were good, dough tasted fresh and crisp but the toppings were hardly cooked. Tasted like they were just thrown on. The pepperoni that was supposed to be well done was not which was a disappointment. The chicken was the grossest thing I've ever had. No breading at all. Just spices and they didn't blend well so you got random flavors that were just too much. Go for the pizza not the chicken.

Frau K. did all the work, I just ate. She said the young woman who served her was particularly cheerful/ helpful. She also said that the efficiency behind the counter was impressive. They had a real system to keep things moving, and they needed to, because people were in and out of there continuously. Now to the pie. They make a point of saying they use King Arthur Flour. The dough is really good, I will confirm. Good sauce; good toppings. I have no complaints. It was a really solid pie. Glad that we found it via Yelp!

Delivery: This is some good pizza. The crust is delicious - light and slightly chewy. The sauce has a very nice tomato taste and a little pop of spice. I had the cheese with mushrooms and it was perfect. Nothing greasy about this pie. A definite repeat location when back in town for me. $$

Ordered a pizza today and was not impressed! There was hardly any pizza sauce on my pizza. It was extremely dry. I won't be ordering from Leonardo's anymore.

This pizza place was right down the street from our hotel so we figured we'd walk there rather than taking the car since it was close. We get there for a nice sit-down dinner after a long drive to discover it's a take-out only place. And they put a table in the doorway so you can't walk into the building; the staff comes to the door and takes your order while you stand outside. SMART! In these Covid-19 times, this is the right way to do it, we applaud them. And the lady who took our order was really friendly and talked to us a bit after taking our order since we're out-of-towners on vacation. She gave us some advice on neat things to see and do in the nearby area. Although when she found out we were from Wisconsin, she did ask, "So why are you here? Don't Wisconsin and Vermont pretty much look alike?" We told her Vermont is MUCH prettier! Although the city of South Burlington apparently doesn't believe in putting in sidewalks, which made for an interesting walk along the very busy street to get to the pizza shop. Maybe they're trying to be cosmopolitan, like Rome, Italy, which also doesn't believe in sidewalks and you take your life in your hands every time you try to cross the street. Anyway, we ordered the Vegetarian Works pizza, half with no cheese to accommodate our vegan/vegetarian thang. Really, really good pizza! Highly recommend Leonardo's.

I work at UVM and we use Leonardo's for lunches during exam week. They are easy to work with, the food is perfect, and the students are always happy!

Ass pizza. In don't know who is giving them 4 stars. The cheese pizza was maybe 2 stars but the bbq side made me want to reach down in my stomach and yack it out. I'm so mad.

I called for a pizza pickup at 7 pm on Sept 6th. They said they were not taking any more orders for the night,. I have ordered Leonardos many, many times over 20 years. I am done with them. They don't care about their customers anymore. Find a new place that actually wants to be respectful.

Amazing pizza and wings! The young guys that took my order not only work well together but know how to crack great jokes and treat customers well. Drive and ate the entire drive home. Excellent taste, great example of what pizza really is. Nice work guys!

Holy moly! Staying at a nearby hotel and checked in a bit hungry. We found Leonardo's on Yelp and decided to try it out. Bought a large half and half Leonardo's the works and a honey goat cheese pizza. The honey goat cheese was AMAZING!!! I don't think I've had a better delivery pizza, ever. I am so sad I can't get this pizza in New Jersey. I asked for them to cut it up 16 slices rather than 8 and it was delivered as asked. The driver was soooo nice and called and asked if he should bring it to our room. They even provided plates and napkins with the pie which isn't usually provided my small local pizza shops. I really loved my experience and would definitely recommend!!!

Oh man. First get the whole wheat crust. It's so good. Went in to carb load for the marathon. Got the half and half smoked Gouda and fennel sausage. Who cares that one has red sauce and the other doesn't? Who cares that one is vegetarian and the other isn't? No one because those are some delicious well sourced pizza toppings. Skip the garlic bread just order more of these delightful pizzas.

I love Leonardo's pizza and i love their app. I ordered a pizza 24 hour in advance on the app since i knew they would be busy due to Super Bowl. I get there by 6 for my order, order will not be ready on time, then gives me an excuse that it's Super Bowl. Really seriously so did you need a week in advance for a Large pizza?? Why did you send me an email confirmation saying my pizza will be ready at 6, if it's not going to be ready. I honestly would not have cared, but it's snowing and I'll kill someone if they make me miss the first 19 minutes of SB!

Service was slow, food was cold! It seemed very unorganized. We were told order would be ready in 40 minutes, well over an hour before we were given our food. Walk in came in to order while we were waiting after the 40 minutes we were told, they were told 20 minutes, came back, got there order and we still were waiting. I think our order was sitting on a shelf somewhere until they figured it out. Tobad, it used to be our favorite. Time to look for another place.

Terrible customer service my second visit in a row. They were way off in estimating time and then can't find some of my order. It's always blamed on "the driver must have taken it by accident". And while I wait for them to remake multiple items they offer a free soda. Seriously! Two of the employees making pizza are goofing off, maybe that is the real issue.

After finding bacon on a vegan pizza that was ordered for vegans and Muslims in our office, the manager didn't even give us a full refund. We understand they may have policies that prevents them from doing so, but he was also very rude during the whole process. We can't eat the pizza and many were furious because of their religion. Seems really hard to mess that up given the pizza is made "fresh." Place is just very mismanaged.

Exactly what I needed. I'm a toppings person for pizza and this place loads it up. I also like the fact you can do half and half for the types of toppings on your pizza. We got the chicken Pesto and the chicken bbq. Only issue I have is they don't load it up with sauce- but that is a personal preference. Overall great pizza and when back to Burlington I'd get again.

Mediocre. Kind of overpriced and honestly wasn't great. Tasted like Chuck E Cheese pizza. Not terrible though.

I judge a pizza place on its cheese pie before I go into specialty pizzas and this place was disappointing. Prices are right and the people working were really pleasant. The crust was bready and a bit too thick. The middle was soggy (blech). It only sat in the pizza box for the ten minute ride home. Cheese was not stretchy and missing some grease (if I'm eating pizza, I am going all in). This seems to be "the" place for pizza around me, but we will keep searching. Could also do with more sauce. The pizza search continues ....

It's good pizza with a nice wide choice of options including the sauce, the wheat crust, and loads of choices for the toppings. The pizza is always consistent and delicious. The wings are also good. A good solid pizza choice in the area. Also good in the Burlington area is Mimos in Essex Junction.

With speedy delivery, good topping combinations, and cheap prices, Leonardo's is what you wish all pizza places could be. For delivery pizza, I'm a fan. In town for business and buried with work, I needed some food delivered to my hotel room. Not only was the ordering process quick and painless (there's online ordering, but you can also call them), they delivered my pizza within half an hour. If you're like me and forget to order food until you're really hungry, this speedy service is a major plus. Their specialty toppings also make their pizzas a step above your typical delivery. I got a Texas Hot Buffalo Chicken pizza, but they have a bunch of others that made it difficult to me choose. Check out their menu online - there's a Thai Chicken pizza, a Cape Cod White Clam pizza - it seems like they've got something for every taste. Above all, they've got very reasonable prices for this type of pizza. A medium (8 slices, around the size of a frozen pizza) is $14.45, and a large is $19.45. Not too bad to feed a couple or a family (or a business traveller!) for dinner. Overall, Leonardo's is probably the pinnacle of delivery pizza for me. Though nothing overtly wowed me (wouldn't have minded some more kick to the "hot" pizza!), everything is just well done. Kudos to Leonardo's!
